In that case, Liverpool would lose their Champions League title.
It would be a great injustice but nothing is yet certain or decided.

Wait what? they also winning the champions league now. Wow.

They totally dominated Atletico in the game at Anfield & really deserved to go through but Atleti rode their luck & qualified for the 1/4 final fair & square. Liverpool are out & there will be a new champion of europe this season when play finally starts again.

According to the Daily Mail report, Liverpool reportedly had taken the decision not to shop for new players in the 2020 summer transfer market.

Liverpool is predicted to lose a lot of revenue during the cessation of competition, in one match, they can usually get funding of three million pounds if the rest of the 2019/20 season continues without watching, the amount of loss is predicted to reach 100 million pounds.

They didn’t spend any significant money last summer so I can’t see this being true. Didn’t they just get a new record breaking Nike kit deal too?

Back to back CL Finals & a PL title = probably big money transfers.
3883  Economy / Speculation / Re: What this Bitcoin halving bring? Does the Bitcoin price go up or down? on: May 01, 2020, 06:24:35 PM
Not sure about the price short term but the price will fly up once the reduced supply of coins takes effect. Wait until mid to late 2021 for the real fun to start.

common denominator across multiple UK newspapers regarding the PL restart plan: NEUTRAL

BBC Sports

more sources: The Sun, Dailymail, The Telegraph

So no home advantage or 'psychological' advantage for every club until next season possibly. This will hurt Liverpool and Man City a lot since they're close to unbeatable when playing at home.

Liverpool only need 6 points out of 9 games to 100% claim the title don’t they? I don’t see any problems for them. I think it’ll hurt the teams down the bottom more who are fighting to stay up.
3886  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 01, 2020, 06:04:29 PM
@tokes: $10 it is, on the league to restart vs you thinking it'll get cancelled? You know, since BTC's going to be at a new ATH at the time the bet settles, I'll take you on;)

Oh that bet...  I thought you were talking about the football transfers one.  DeathAngel and already confirmed and I got two to one for it.  Grin  I can't take your bet as it would be unfair to DeathAngel.

But if he's ok with it, let's go.  I say that league gets cancelled and LFC declared champion, points and places as they are.

You two can have a bet of course man, don’t let me stand in the way.

It seems the PL & club officials had productive talks today, the season is still planned to finish.....probably.
3887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: May 01, 2020, 12:30:21 PM
Aguero had an interview today stating how scared the players are to return to play. If the players feel like that, it will be really difficult to force them back, especially in such a short time frame.

I think there is a conference today regarding the health and safety issues, perhaps we will know more about it afterwards. Some people are even proposing that players wear masks, that would really be crazy.

Here's the link to Aguero interview in case somebody's interested.

Aguero probably has an agenda because he knows City can’t win the PL. I think he probably would mysteriously be happy to play CL football because City have a good chance to win that.

new rumors about Ansu Fati from barca

Quote
#BVB would like to sign Ansu Fati for next season, should Sancho leave the club. #Barca would insist on a buy-back clause.

https://twitter.com/TMuk_news/status/1255859457214447616

if it's true, Sancho will move to england...

Sancho will go for a hell of a lot of money, I’m really interested to see where he ends up. Fati is a real talent & I’d understand his decision to move from Barca. He needs to develop as a young player & you can only develop to realise your true potential if you are playing.
3889  Economy / Speculation / Re: No Suddenly price Change after Bitcoin Halving on: May 01, 2020, 10:52:46 AM
Indeed, there is no significant change in the price, but something else may happen.

Are you high?
We rallied to a 30% rise in one week. We were also at $3800 when the corona virus caused a panic dump. The halving always brings a big price rise due to the reduction of coins available on the market. Wait until this time next year, it’ll blow your head off.

A client is trusting you to buy $882,501,000 worth of Bitcoin, and you don't know where to start? Seems legit

Exactly what I thought, I can’t even be bothered to neg trust his account because it’s so obvious that it’s a scam Cheesy
About as subtle as a brick through a window!

Premier league seems to be one of the latest championships that is going to be continued.
In my opinion, players are going to start trainings at least the individual ones in the near future but the games are going to start again probably end of May - start of June.

At least it gives us something to look forward to in these boring times. I think I’m going made stuck in the house.
3892  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 30, 2020, 05:12:23 PM
We’ll see how Germany’s Bundesliga gets on first I guess as they return first, they’re already training. I think money is probably behind the big leagues going back to play but it is what it is. Fit, young footballers are very unlikely to get seriously ill, it’s mostly older people who get badly ill.
3893  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin back to $8000 on: April 29, 2020, 08:14:09 PM
Yep, all the weak handed people with no balls sold due to COVID19 panic. The brave people will be rewarded, always do the opposite of what the majority of people are doing.

I’m not a Bayern fan but I am excited to see if he goes to play for them in Germany. I hope he can recover fully from the bad injury he suffered.
3895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: April 29, 2020, 12:38:39 PM
I don’t think you can have Covid19 in your system for this long? Dybala was infected ages ago, he’s a young & fit guy. I think he is probably recovered by now?
3896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 29, 2020, 12:36:37 PM
PSG are reported to have said they are willing to play their CL games in another country.
I think the German, Italian & English Leagues will be concluded judging from the noises coming out of their officials mouths.
3897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 29, 2020, 12:34:40 PM
First this,
Anybody read about the recent development in the Dutch league reporting that Ajax was denied title as Dutch Eredivisie season was declared void, European places decided, no relegation.

And now this; League 1&2 cancellation piles pressure on Premier League as French PM bans all sporting events until August note that they were also paying to restart the season sometime within june just as rumors are spreading everywhere about the premier planning to resume anytime soon.

The saddest part about all this recent development of cancellation of other leagues is that, the clubs that were leading the table aren't been declared champions, what's the fate of Liverpool then, will the premier league follow the footsteps of other leagues?.

Quick reminder;
Belgian Football League cancelled
Dutch Football League cancelled
French Football League cancelled

English Football League ??

German League to restart in a couple of weeks
Italian League planning to restart
EPL teams supposedly returning to training in a couple of weeks

I’m not sure what’s happening in Spain.

Also I saw that the Dutch League may reverse their decision due to a number of clubs threatening legal action.
In Belgium the cancelled the league but crowned Bruges champions.

Coutinho flopped because so much was expected from him, he came with a huge fee. Messi is the star there, every player plays second fiddle to Messi. Coutinho is a good player but he would never be the teams star player.

It seems that after this crisis nothing will be the same, even for the English league.
Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward says speculation about transfers for "hundreds of millions of pounds this summer" is ignoring the "realities that face the sport" because of the coronavirus pandemic.  Source: https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/52418826
There has been speculation that Manchester is interested in Tottenham striker Harry Kane but they seem to have given up.
Obviously we won't be able to return to normality until spectators finally return to the stadiums.

Yeah there might be very few transfers this summer due to the pandemic & restrictions on travel. Maybe the transfer window could run for from September to November or something to give clubs a chance to bring in players. Even then though due to the financial hit of covid19 there might not be the same volume of deals as usual.
