3901  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why is it so hard to win at gambling? on: June 27, 2022, 08:20:10 PM
The people want to gamble after they lose because they think that if they get a big win,I am talking about slots, like winning a jackpot or hitting that top prize for many of them maybe a life changing event. This is what brings people back but unfortunately a huge majority of them keep losing and are never able to hit a jackpot or the top prize in a slot machine. We know there is the house edge which is in place to make sure that in the long run the casino is always in profit and to keep their business open but people keep coming back knowing it just to try to hit a jackpot or a top prize from a slot machine which are usually really big prizes in money.
People don't want to stay with a negative balance in gambling for too long, because they see that as a failure since their initial goal wasn't fulfilled, and when this happens they become more emotional and less rational, trying to recover the losses at all costs, what inevitably lead them to lose even more money on most cases, as you said,, while some also manage to recover their funds with success, especially if they have a big bankroll to absorb the red streaks meanwhile. It's a hard decision to make when the bet session is happening for real, but it's up to each gambler to take the risks of recovering losses or going home with partial losses, although not totally broken.
3902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sweatcoins will be launching this summer...Is it worth it? on: June 27, 2022, 07:34:51 PM
There are different projects and apps following this same concept, and indeed, who doesn't want to be paid just for walking? That is a very welcome income for something you have to do everyday anyway.

However, I'm not ready to adopt this for two reasons: first, because I would have to turn internet on all day long at my smartphone when walking on the streets, what means extra costs for hiring internet data and I doubt the income from Sweatcoins can cover the expenses. Second, because I don't feel confortable being watched and monitored by a third party service everywhere I go.

Who knows if these services sell your informations about the places you go to unknown people on the internet? I'm sure it's possible, just like social medias were already caught doing.
3903  Economy / Economics / Re: How Will Investing Help the Economy of a Country on: June 27, 2022, 06:06:59 PM
Investments bring financial stability and development to the life of individuals who practice this activity. Consequently, they will have extra money to spend in their local economy, by purchasing more goods and hiring more services from merchants and employees, which in turn will also move more money ahead, creating a cycle of prosperity embracing every active workers of the country's economy.
And the more investors there is in a country, stronger that cycle of prosperity will be. As I see, first world countries are usually composed by investors, while third world countries are composed by spenders, what prejudices a lot the development not only of the individuals, but also of the society as a whole.
3904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the dip and Invest in Bitcoin for long term on: June 26, 2022, 11:59:03 PM

This is the right time to buy more cryptocurrencies especially Bitcoin because the  more people come into the market and increases their demand for it, its value continues to grow rapidly.
That is what many investors have been doing by now, buying on every occasions bitcoin suffers a new crash, including El Salvador. Right now it's a very criticized and blamed strategy, but on long term it will be seen as a smart one, once bitcoin recovers again.

Just be careful when advising other people financially, because there is a high chance they misunderstood how the market works and might end accusing you for having their investments in a negative status. I've seen it happening often during this recent bear market.
3905  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you Considered a Career in Betting Consultancy? on: June 26, 2022, 08:02:00 PM
This would be an extremely difficult career to even get started in and one that would certainly have it’s stressful moments to say the least. There’s a very limited number of opportunities to boot. Most radio shows/ sports show etc already have their spots filled. I guess with the growing legality of gambling mode opportunities are likely to arise, but that’s still going to be quite limited.
I think it's a dangerous career, because customers have high expectations on you, and if you fail predicting correct results everyone is going to get really mad on you for losing money and then we don't know what the consequences can be, although they can be pretty serious, including death threats to the consultant. If I considered myself an expert I would simply make profit individually with my personal bets, also because I know doesn't matter how skilled someone is at sports betting, events' results are still random and can surprise us through a long loss streak.
3906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China warns Bitcoin is heading to zero on: June 26, 2022, 06:43:35 PM
China spreading FUD indicates they are trying to encourage holders to sell their coins, consequently dumping bitcoin price even more. And why would they be so interested in seeing bitcoin at a cheap price range, since they theoretically have no interest for it at all? It won't be a surprise if China becomes one of the main holders for the next bull season in crypto market.

They say bitcoin is heading to zero, but that's just sour grapes, you know... Wink
3907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Its One Too Many on: June 26, 2022, 06:06:14 PM
I think all businesses have their types of disadvantages. One tiny minor mistake can't make someone (or some company) fraud. Especially if you can clear it with legit / legal disputes. As many mentioned here, honest businesses (and casinos as well) have customer friendly manners. It means, they mainly try to compensate people with bad experiences. Anyways, bad PR is something everyone dislikes. Reputation is important.

I do not know whether or not thats quite correct.. I have worked with businesses that went completely downhill just because of one small, lazy mistake which led to a shitstorm of problems and bad PR. And don't let people tell you there is no such thing as bad PR. There definitely is. Especially for smaller start ups.

Reputation is the most important thing for a business. Honest or not, if something starts and people get involved, regardless of who is right or wrong or if something is true or not, once a reputation has been ruined, its almost impossible to recover from that.

legal disputes will only help you recover from some damages.
Yes, small mistakes matter, because they are just an initial sign of the managers' negligence, that if not addressed, will only get worse and more serious within time, affecting the company negatively until it completely loses its credibility, and have to close for not being profitable anymore or for being in heavy debt due to those mistakes. Reputable, long lasting companies are the ones which care for their customers, doesn't matter how tiny their complainment or request are., because they know this way customers will trust them and fidelize with business much more efficiently.
3908  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful around massive APY projects on: June 25, 2022, 04:54:12 AM
Stay away from projects with insanely high APY, 100,000% to 500,000% APY, you knew what I'm talking about, Titano, Safuu and others, invest but learn to back your initial investment first, all these defi projects are practising ponzinomic scheme. The latest is Safutinano, just know what you are doing.
100,000%-500,000% APY? Shocked
I'm not aware of such projects, but they look much more hardcore than the most hardcore hyips I've seen. Unfortunatelly people who go for these investments are asking to lose their money, because there aren't any guarantees they are going to receive huge interest on their funds, what is impossible anyway, considering how insane those returns are.

If something like that really existed, someone staking 1$ would become the richest man of Planet Earth after few years of investment.
3909  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Mind Over Matter In Gambling Using Pendulum on: June 24, 2022, 08:11:41 PM
I don't believe it works. What happens is that people pick one event where a gambler using pendulum had success on his bet, so his story becomes an example of how pendulum is effective, although everyone else who also used pendulum, but lost their bets are just ignored by the people spreading the story ahead. If this mystical method worked, I'm sure many other gamblers would have already adopted it along the years, especially because it's a divination tool since the old days. Consequently pendulum would have already completely broken the gambling industry and the future wouldn't be unpredictable anymore.
3910  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 24, 2022, 07:30:22 PM
In my opinion we can't judge every gamblers based in someone's mistake. You must have discernment to identify if the person you are hiring is capable or not in every aspects for the aimed spot. I've met gamblers who were very responsible and honest with their appointments and people around them. Without any doubts I would trust them with my money and savings.

On the other hand, there are many considered "normal" people who I wouldn't trust with a single penny...
3911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your recent altcoin investment and why? on: June 24, 2022, 06:42:12 PM
FUN token due to the staking program and premium benefits offered at freebitco.in for holders. That is one of the most useful altcoins I've spotted because they offer practical benefits to adopters, are integrated to a reputable platform which is working since 2013 and have also an impact over bitcoin investment (boosting the interest rates received over bitcoin).

I've also gone into CRO token recently in order to acquire an upgraded version of crypto.com's debit card, although I can't give any reviews about it yet.
3912  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not panic. Everything will get better on: June 23, 2022, 10:08:33 PM
In this case there is nothing we can do either other than wait or add the reserve funds that we have because it is very good. Indeed, from an emotional point of view, we will all be a little shaken but panic is not the right reason when the situation is like this.
But if we look at it now it looks pretty good we bounced from $17k to $21k even though it's starting to get back to $20k now.

We don't have any other option than holding and accumulating given the current situation. Those who are holding until today are sure that the asset has dropped so much that it makes no sense to sell at this point. we should keep holding and wait patiently as bitcoin will definitely rise. The important thing at this time is that we should be calm, should not look at the catalog too much, it will easily generate emotions. To relax, I get myself some jobs that keep me busy and hardly have time to think about the market too much. I know for sure the market will bounce back but thinking about it now distracts me.
The fact is that there are still many people who panic when this happens and there are even some people who start to get depressed (when I see the news in my country) due to the decline in Bitcoin which makes this so worrying.
Actually, things like this can still be minimized by continuing to wait but why are you so impatient and disbelieving that makes me wonder. even though if you look at it from any perspective, it is clear that something like this will definitely happen, although it will slowly improve and continue like that.
People get depressed because they didn't prepare themselves for every possible outcomes of crypto market. They were delusional bitcoin wouldn't crash anymore, so they could make huge profit just for holding during short time periods. If they were prepared and traced long term goals, this crash wouldn't affect them at all, because they would have emotional conditions to deal with the situation and elaborate alternatives for now in order to keep their bitcoins untouched, while surviving from another sources of income. At same time it's easy to invest in bitcoin, it's not that simple considering how volatile the market is...
3913  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: June 23, 2022, 05:14:39 PM
LOL.... a pint of beer for $12 sounds so cool.  Grin

Anyway, I can understand their point of view. Qataris spent billions of USD in bribing the poor nations for hosting rights. Obviously they are concerned about the ROI. On top of all that, there are no distilleries or breweries in Qatar and they need to import the drinks from other countries. BTW, are they going to legalize other recreational activities such as gambling, smoking weed.etc?
Gambling and alcohol should be fine at some degree, but doing drugs is a more serious matter, with risks for individuals involved on this kind of activity to be taken to the death sentence in Qatar, or 20 years of imprisonment  plus a £21,349 to £64,047 fine on the best hypothesis.

And that is not all: foreigners were adverted to stay away from smugglers and drugs users, otherwise they might be punished as well for their friends' acts.

Fans Who Smuggle Cocaine Into Qatar World Cup Could Face Death Penalty

If they want good returns to their investment, then they should allow these activities as well. What about a 900% sin tax on marijuana?
Oh, don't give them an idea like that one, otherwise they might like it, upgrading and boosting their sin taxes regulations immediately. Cheesy

In Australia a pint at a random bar is basically at that price.

And in a few countries in Europe as well, like Norway for example.

Everything is getting so expensive!
Wow, that is crazy. I can buy a pint here for 1,60$. I would never pay that insane 12$ for this same pint, even if they sprinkled gold or diamond's particles in my glass.
3914  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? on: June 23, 2022, 06:34:17 AM
Any excuse is valid to go against bitcoin for bureaucrats, so you can expect anything from them, doesn't matter how absurd it may sound. Even Wikipedia was forbidden from receiving donations in bitcoin by its own community for environmental concerns, now imagine countries which have their governments directly affected by bitcoin adoption among their citizens. That means fiat is losing territory, so are the central authorities, and of course measures will be taken to avoid this from happening.
The point is that mining isn't the issue and never was, but it's the perfect straw man which fits the purpose of creating the narrative bitcoin mining is bad and evil, therefore it must be stopped. And without mining we know there isn't bitcoin (that is the point Wink).
3915  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: June 23, 2022, 04:26:44 AM
After numerous deaths in football stadiums, Brazil passed a law in 2003 outlawing alcohol sales in stadiums. FIFA demanded that Brazil allow alcohol sales at the World Cup because Budweiser, a major World Cup sponsor, was the "Official Beer of the FIFA World Cup", a role it had played since 1986. In response, Brazil passed a law paving the way for alcohol sales in the World Cup, nicknamed the "Budweiser Bill"

I'm curious to see if something similar will happen now in Qatar 2022, since Budweiser is again sponsoring the World Cup, and Qatar has said they won't allow selling alcohol inside the stadiums...
I believe the rules are going to be relaxed by regulators when the time comes. There is a lot of pressure on this matter and low resistance on the other side... It seems some VIP foreigners are already scheduled to be allowed to consume alcohol:

Quote
As part of the relaxed rules, alcohol will be available to fans in stadiums in Qatar, but so far only to those purchasing hospitality packages.

Jaime Byrom, the contractor behind the premium offerings, told RTE: “It is our expectation that people will be able to [drink].

“We expect that, depending on the decisions taken by others – we will of course always comply with whatever regulations, whatever laws are decreed – certainly at this point in time we are planning to be in a position to serve alcohol in our hospitality programme.”
Anyway, people shouldn't get too much excited about drinking during the games, because alcohol in Qatar is sold at a premium due to it being heavily taxed:

Quote
A pint of beer in Doha, where group stage matches will be played, costs around £10 due to the Muslim country invoking sin taxes on alcohol.

Yet organisers are also working on subsidising drink as well as making sure it is more readily available for fans during the tournament.

“Alcohol is not part of our culture,” Nasser al-Khater, the chief executive officer of the 2022 World Cup, admitted in 2019.
Interesting that alcohol isn't part of their culture, but when being sold overpriced for their own financial benefit it's fine. Cheesy

3916  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins dead? on: June 23, 2022, 02:37:18 AM
Watching the current market and the demise of ALL crypto ... is this the end for certain coins?

How do people think the likes of ETH, ADA, XRP, TRON etc will go from here?
Some altcoins are constantly dying from times to times. That is a common event since they started being developed, while another altcoins are just temporarily devalued, following bitcoin's trend that is really bad right now. You need to differentiate both categories of altcoins: the dead coins from the devalued coins. The dead ones have no purposes, while the devalued ones are a good investment aiming future gains once the next bull run starts.
But if you are unable to identify which cryptocurrencies are worthful for you to invest, focus your investment in bitcoin. It's more guaranteed than anything else in crypto market. However, be prepared to hold it for a long time if needed. We don't know how long the market's tendency is going to take to change upside.
3917  Economy / Gambling / Re: risk of kyc on crypto casinos ? on: June 23, 2022, 02:12:20 AM
Many crypto casinos don't require KYC, but they aren't among the most popular sites, consequently I can't say with assurance how safe and legit it is to play on them, except freebitco.in that is constantly active on this forum, runs a signature campaign, is working since 2013 without issues and has millions of users on the website.
It makes me believe it might be a good option for you, although there isn't variety of games and the house edge is superior to another gambling sites. You may take advantage of the promotions that are launched every few days, though. Check their twitter for recent updates.

That was indeed the case in the past, when you could gamble at almost every crypto casino without complying with the KYC rules. Unfortunately, the rules are now stricter. I think you can only get out of KYC if you join a betting site based in Costa Rica. If you play at Curacao, Malta or UK commission you can set your own schedule to be subject to the KYC sooner or later. But, there are exceptions of course for gambling sites that do not ask this.
Or at casinos based in nowhere (casinos without licenses to operate)... That is the case of some crypto casinos I have found when searching if they really existed, but I think it doesn't worth to mention their names at all, otherwise I'm going to give them more visibility among gamblers (that is actually pretty low). It's safer to stick with crypto casinos which have built their reputation along the years side by side with the gambling community. Unknown casinos without advertisements and feedbacks are dangerous to deposit money, that even if they don't ask for KYC, it isn't an advantange after all.

3919  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips on How to Manage Gambling Addiction an Open Discussion. on: June 22, 2022, 07:37:41 PM
Some people are weak to gambling. They have difficulty controlling themselves.
If you feel weak willpower, you should definitely seek help.
It is inevitable that someone with a gambling addiction will lose everything completely in the long run.
Because even if he wins, he will continue to play. until he has no money left.
Self control and discipline is something not all people does really have which means that even if it's basic to tell and say that they should have good control but it's not something easy to be done when you are on their feet.Gambling addiction is something that can't be controlled or getting rid of it but if you are really that eager on quitting then you could do it but if not then you do need to seek some help whether came from your loved ones or professional help which is something that depends or differ from time to time.
People who can't forget gambling for a while need to lose every kind of contact they have with betting platforms, being them virtual or physical ones. However, it's hard to do this nowadays, since internet accessibility has become easier and there are many small pubs on every corners of the streets offering gambling services.

Therefore, the solution I imagine is to take problem gamblers to an isolated area where they can be treated properly and have contact with another people, new kinds of activities and the nature in a way step by step they start switching themselves off gambling in order to focus and develop interest for another subjects that will be more benefical for their lives.

I believe addiction isn't a natural trait for any individuals and nobody was born to be addicted, so there is a solution for this without any doubts, but effort and patience are needed.
3920  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on transgender only events? on: June 22, 2022, 05:46:14 PM
Although it's not moral, due to the inequity, it would be profitable to bet on transgender athtletes when competing against women. But to bet in transgender category matches is tricky like any other category, because they are playing from equal to equal. I don't know how is the demand of the public for transgender matches right now, but I have the impression it's not so popular at a point sportsbook would introduce those matches in quantity.

In fact, I only got aware about transgender athletes because they punched women so hard, that they became popular over the whole internet quite fast through the public's indignation.
