3901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some Influencers Are Not Helping on: September 03, 2020, 02:56:51 AM
I have seen this, especially in social media that some influencers are not really helping people and their viewers. They are just there to promote to encourage more to join them. They exists as promoter so basically , we have to be careful not to become a victim of this kind of people. It's our still responsibility to do some always research before buying some bags of crypto.
Influencer is the most disgusting thing in the internet, they are just narcissist that has no marketable skill and that is why they capitalize on getting followers which make them entitled to things as if they deserve it. In regards to bitcoin influencers, do not listen like a fanatic to every word they say, every thing they say is to market their product or someone's product. Think for yourselves and do not be drowned by going with the flow, remember that only dead fishes go with the flow.
3902  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: you're making bitcoin complicated on: September 03, 2020, 02:03:04 AM
I won't agree with you. Old users want to tech perfect things about bitcoin, so the new user will not regret it in the future. If someone asks you about a bitcoin wallet then you should suggest a good wallet as a senior bitcoin user, web wallet wouldn't safe ever and newbies would regret when they will face many problems like KYC and account block. Even they can't buy a hardware wallet they should use a noncustodial wallet and no cost for it. If you don't suggest a hardware wallet then how newbies will no that it is such as an option to keep safer your bitcoin.

Regarding earnings, everyone earing from a different way, so they will suggest as same. Also, they should know regarding anonymity, either they follow it or not. I can't see anything wrong here.
Why not teach them both, the problem here is that there is always a "Make Your Choice" moments, we could teach them both the advantages and disadvantages of both wallets for example and let them decide what to choose from, yes, there will be regrets but it is up to the newbie if they are willing to continue forward or not.
3903  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin such a big risk? on: September 02, 2020, 12:32:21 PM
Anything related to currency certainly has risks, buying bitcoin with money can certainly risk losing value if the price drops, but I have other experiences in my country that there have been cases where people save their big money in a private bank then the bank goes bankrupt, Currently the fate of customers is frustrated to hear that, so actually everything is full of risk depending on how that person keeps their money, I prefer to put my money in crypto
There is a certain truth regarding risks about currency but that should not be a problem to be worried about. Like what OP and others said, do not invest what you can't afford to lose or something like that. The problem with the banks as mentioned above is they need the customers to stay afloat, the money that is remitted in serves as a lifeline of the bank, I know that there are other factors that play in the bank situation but that is the basic of it.
3904  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it alright to invest with bitcoin at the current market price? on: September 02, 2020, 09:19:56 AM
If possible put a mark where you will buy an X amount of bitcoin, this will help you make a decision as prices will fluctuate and your target might not show up for long. Try to save an emergency fund and do not abandon all your other cashflow. Having an emergency fund helps in you down times, learn more about bitcoin.
3905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to make old people understand Bitcoin? on: September 02, 2020, 07:38:56 AM
It would be very difficult to teach the elders about bitcoin if they also did not understand today's technology such as computers and smartphones.
surely they will still choose the traditional way that they have understood for a long time.
Totally true, if they do not have fundamental knowledge about the modern technology then you better start with that one because it will interconnect along the way. In my opinion, educating elderly about bitcoin and modern technology in general is a pretty good thing because most them will be leaving inheritance and there will entitled pieces of shit family member that will try to trick the inheritance, if we encouraged the education of elderly with modern technology then more entitled POS family member will not be able to trick them.
3906  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Not so far from getting BTC globally accepted! Pornhub now accepts BTC & LTC. ;) on: September 02, 2020, 06:28:20 AM
I'll look at it as a company that accepts bitcoin.
As you should. How else should anyone look at it?
Others might be misled again that bitcoin is just used for porn websites. Just like in the past when it's already accepted in the mainstream.

Yet, the media keeps on highlighting on their articles that bitcoin is just used for illegal transactions.
Only simpletons follow what the media say, everybody should know by now that one news outlet is not enough to confirm news. This is a step in making bitcoin mainstream, porn industry wants to be a part of this milestone and I have no qualms with that.
3907  Other / Off-topic / Re: It's time to destroy China, don't buy anything from them ,don't deal with them on: September 02, 2020, 05:39:09 AM
If you see them in your country beat the shit out of them ,spit them in their face and send them back to communist China ...

What if the Chinese person was born in your country?

Then he is a Chinese commie ... needs to be sent back to China . All Chinese should be deported.

I for one will vote in Europe for nationalist parties to purify Europe of Chinese.
We got ourselves a racist here, did you get rejected in art school, Adolf? The problem is not the people, it's the government. Yes, some Chinese especially mainlanders are rude but they are not to be blamed here, they are just ingrained to the propaganda that the Party is showing.
3908  Economy / Economics / Re: China is winning the Economy Wars on: September 02, 2020, 04:59:56 AM
This is also a formidable strategy from China. Actually, economists have seen this for a long time and they are condemning the Chinese government. It seems that they are expanding and disrespecting any country, we are really soft towards them.
Hopefully in the future, countries will have a way to stop the current Chinese expansion so that everything will be peaceful. I hate war and don't want any political uncertainty to happen.
But how exactly can that be done? China is now the factory of the world, everything is made there and even if the quality of the goods is not very good it is made very cheaply to the point that very few countries can compete, this means that China is full of dollars that they can use and that they do not want to keep because they know that the dollar is going to crash sooner or later, which means they are using them to buy everything what they can and lending it to other countries so they owe to them and they can get land and infrastructure for almost nothing.
If there is a continous sanctions and constant relocation of factories of foreign companies like what Apple is doing, China will eventually cave in. Right now, Apple is slowly relocating its factories in India, and I hope that this is a step for other companies to do the same thing.

If China really needs to establish itself as an economic power and connect with the world, it needs to improve it's relation with Japan, South Korea and ASEAN nations and reach a deal on South China Sea.
I agree with this one, good relation with your neighbors is a good sign, but if you are using manipulation and bullying then that is another story.
3909  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Loses to invest in Bitcoin, back to Bitcointalk on: September 02, 2020, 04:27:40 AM
Do not consider the forum as a money hub, make it in your mind that you are here to learn and grow, the merit is just a bonus for you when you do something of quality. I do not want to say that you are greedy but the way you posted your thread sounded like one. Just keep exploring the forum, do not be afraid to ask questions because that is how you learn.
3910  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wrong conception on: September 02, 2020, 03:53:19 AM
Do cold wallets count? They are offline and you can store your bitcoin there. I think the problem is not newbies, the system is problem here, if there are people who abuse this loophole and no one is making a damn about it then , there will newbies that will get their funds stolen. To all newbies, be careful, consult your crypto friends or this forum, they are going to help you.
3911  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to find Fake Giveaways or scam airdrops on Twitter? on: September 02, 2020, 03:12:10 AM
Unless the owner of the account is a known person and the account is really his (with the blue check mark) there's a very big chance the giveaway is fake.
It's a quite known method for a few days/months old accounts to artificially boost the number of followers, since most don't bother to unfollow and report.
Yeah, that boosting is pretty relevant in many scams, they make it look like they gather a following, almost fallen for one when I was still a noobie, good thing I have friends whom I can consult with regards to that, good thing that I followed what they said as most of those who have fallen wasted their money, time and effort.
3912  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Road to Hero Rank + My Bitcointalk story (motivation & Journey). on: September 01, 2020, 10:56:07 AM
OP's topic about e-mail breach is pretty helpful, I used it on my e-mails (Personal, Business, School) to see if I became an idiot and got my mail breached. Heard about the site from a Twitch Streamer Kitboga that specializes in Scambaiting. Anyways, good job ranking up OP.

Here is the site: https://haveibeenpwned.com

You can use it to check suspicious e-mails as they can be stolen e-mails.
3913  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of bitcoin trading scams -YouTube fake traders- on: September 01, 2020, 09:36:51 AM
I think pretending to trade or faking it is popular and done by a lot of people. Also YouTubers most of the time, in reality, is sponsored when a website pays some influencers on youtube a lot of their subscribers could easily be a part of that. The thing here is most of the YouTubers don't know anything about trading they just make a video for it because it is paid or sponsored by a website, they don't have any idea if it is a legitimate website or not.

For sure most of the experienced trader don't really listen in a simple video in youtube because it is just so obvious to them, Faking trading is just one of the method to easily influence someone that don't have enough experience in trading.
Influencers is the most disgusting imaginary job I have ever landed upon to. This wanna be traders are just in for the views especially in Youtube, they do not care whether you earn, they want is your views and they have no intention of helping you. You also should put in mind that anyone who reveals their hand is either a fool or con.
3914  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Beware of Phishing Emails like this on: September 01, 2020, 07:04:02 AM
I received it and many similar so called stellar giveaways, one time I completely fall for it until it asked for a private key.

These emails are so convincing that you will fall for it once. Contents in these emails are of the highest standard, they will always use convincing words within the contents to make them appear original. The only way to check whether it is genuine or not is by doing the checks which I have mentioned in this thread.
One thing when you receive this kind of e-mails is try to talk to them, if they are trying to persuade you into doing their bidding then the chances that it is a scam is high. If you want to waste the time of this phishing emails, try the scam baiting bot Re:scam, they are currently down though because they are updating the AI, the bot is pretty good.
3915  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Blockchain on Online Classes for Computer Studies on: September 01, 2020, 05:54:39 AM
I hope na magkaroon ng update sa IT curriculum kasi patuloy na nagbabago ang technology and not just IT, I hope buong education system natin.
3916  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: DITO stocks - dapat ba mag invest na DITO? on: September 01, 2020, 04:42:59 AM
3917  Local / Pilipinas / Re: P60 Million Worth of Gift Card Scam - Converted To Bitcoin on: September 01, 2020, 04:09:34 AM
3920  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: which is a good option?? Trade or Hodl on: August 31, 2020, 11:12:57 AM
If you can afford to trade, one instance is you having an emergency fund so you have a safety net in case you hit a rough patch in trading (which will happen very often in the beginning if you are a newbie). If you just want a safe haven for your finances then you can hold, it is not as proactive as trading but you know when to withdraw your funds though you will be losing some along the way because of fluctuations but the good thing about holding is you can release whenever you want, in the end, it is up to you whether you want to hold or trade.
