A high number of deaths has been reported in the last 24 hours in the UK. The season will be completed but it’s going to be at least 6 weeks before a ball is kicked & 100% it will all be behind closed doors. At least it’ll be on TV for us.
3922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This guy gambles and wins a total amount of £400,000 and quits while ahead. on: April 21, 2020, 03:08:52 PM
This is just an advertisement strategy created by the gambling sites itself? Roll Eyes

Online gambling owners wants to trap the casino gamblers into online gamblers and also wants the people to gamble who never wanted too by saying the huge won amount and adding I am going to quit will make it as more realistic but this is just a pure trick since gambling owners know 99% of people will never get such amount of winnings so they will keep on gambling. Tongue

Sorry, I am conspiracy minded guy. Grin

This wouldn’t surprise me to be honest. Average Joe will think, ‘oh look a normal guy won a shit load of money, maybe I should sign up & play, it could be me’.

^  While they're putting that out, I heard Real is having slight trouble with money.  And of course LFC and Chelsea are hesitating.  Every club is obv.

It's hard to get excited with these rumors atm cos we know they're likely not to happen.

It’s difficult to see any huge deals happening this summer (if the transfer window is still going to run during the summer).

I’ll settle for just watching some damn football.
3924  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: April 20, 2020, 09:01:07 PM
One oft the biggest league in Europe the German will Start at 9. May, sorry but i can't find a english article...

https://kurier.at/sport/fussball/ende-der-corona-krise-geisterspiele-in-deutschland-koennten-am-9-mai-beginnen/400818398

it starts with strict requirements regarding the number of staff and the hygene in the stadium.

Great news, finally some proper football to watch.

Here’s an English article bro - http://www.goal.com/en/amp/news/german-prime-ministers-claim-bundesliga-could-return-on-may/1rjss0l521bnh1jub5rvaeng3o

I think we’ll see players returning to training with their clubs in mid May, possibly like Germany in small groups with no tackling. I think the PL will start matches behind closed doors in mid to late June with 2 games a week so the season is finished before August.

3926  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 19, 2020, 08:58:59 AM
There is already one club that will let their supporters pay 10 bucks or something like that and upload their photo. Then the club will print out a real size cardboard cutout and fix it on the stands. Add those fake crowd noises and we will have a really strange atmosphere  Grin

I’m OK with the fake crowd noises to try & create an atmosphere but I draw the line at charging people to have a cardboard cut out figure of themselves in their seat at the game, now that is weird.
3927  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinNews.com's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 18, 2020, 08:08:30 PM
Whichever way we complete the season is not going to be ideal but we will see it completed. The fake atmosphere is weird but I wouldn’t be against it, I know for sure Napoli do that, their stadium is half full at times but still very (suspiciously) loud. Spurs got caught doing it a few seasons ago too & I think Man City have.

I don’t care, I just want to see 22 men in shorts kick a ball around a field again Wink
3928  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: April 18, 2020, 08:03:58 PM
From what we are reading it looks like they are going to continue anyway, so all of this "Liverpool should be crowned champions even if they do not finish the season" stuff are just wishful thinking from us. I personally still think that they should cancel it just for the safety of everyone, but if they do not that means while we are telling everyone to stay at home and have as little contact with each other as it gets, the players will be out there playing very very close contact sport that would basically be reverse of what everyone has been saying to protect themselves.

These million dollar worth of companies should lead by example and not start back up, starting the league when everyone is told to stay at home would be counter productive if you ask me.

If the season is to start again I think it would be in June & July when I presume the lockdown will be over or at least eased up a lot. I don’t think the restrictions we’re currently under will be here in June & July.
3929  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig W. only claims to be Satoshi, because he knows the real Satoshi is dead? on: April 18, 2020, 11:09:39 AM
CW claims to be Satoshi because he’s a crook, a fraudster out for his own financial gain & he will do or so anything to ensure he earns money. I wouldn’t trust him as far as I could throw him.

He’s a creep, the sooner he disappears into bankruptcy & or prison the better.

Any way, to get back on topic it’s good that the PL clubs & officials agreed the season will still be finished.
It really should. There is still time.
Liverpool would be incredibly unfortunate if they don't end up being awarded the Premier League title in case it doesn't resume for some reason.

I think I read somewhere that the UEFA chief said he can’t envisage a scenario where Liverpool won’t be crowned champions. Even if they void the season they’ll be champions like Scotland & Belgium are doing. Possibly nobody will be relegated & West Brom & Leeds will be promoted so we’d have 22 teams in next seasons PL & 5 will be relegated next season instead of 3.

Real Madrid can take advantage of UEFA plans to loosen FFP (Financial Fair Play) regulations due to the impact of the Corona virus outbreak known as Covid-19, which has indeed made several European clubs lose revenue and UEFA also plans to make an exception to the regulation next season.

FFP regulations have made it difficult for Real Madrid to be able to bring in new players, especially Kylian Mbappe who according to the media is worth 230 million euros with a weekly salary of around 575 thousand euros.  Real Madrid are expected to have that much money but they have to obey the FFP regulations and that's what has been difficult for El Real so far.

@AakZaki if UEFA decides to relax the FFP rules then not only Real Madrid but all the big clubs like PSG, Manchester United will spend big to bring in their top transfer targets. Also do you’ll think that this move will have any effect on Manchester City’s ban as they too will try to use the corona situation to their advantage and ask that their ban be lifted.

Man City broke FFP rules BEFORE all this started so I presume they’ll still be banned from the CL but they might not have a transfer ban. They might be able to spend cash.

I’m sure I read somewhere that Real are in big debt so would a move for Mbappe be possible?

I think China are definitely lying about their death numbers, they’re just trying to make it look more realistic which it doesn’t. How could they possibly have so few deaths, it’s ridiculous.

Any way, to get back on topic it’s good that the PL clubs & officials agreed the season will still be finished.

Arteta seems to know what he’s doing, City fell apart a bit when he left too. I wouldn’t write Arsenal off from finishing in the top 4 next season my friend.

As a Spurs fan, of course I always hope that Arsenal do not do well,,, or at least, never finish above us;) But I agree here people like Arteta have a good sense of coaching and as former players they also understand the guys on the field who kick the ball. I think Arsenal can go up if they fix their very old issues of mentality (same as Spurs, mentality issues).

I fear for Spurs to be honest, I think Kane might look to move if he’s able to this summer. I’m not sure if Mourinho is as effective as he used to be.

How about we discuss what the poll is asking. Where will be Pochettino’s next job?

He’s been out of work for a while now, I presume he’ll be well rested & ready to work again soon.
The probability for him to MU is slim at the moment because the board seems happy with Ole's performance. I think they had enough of "outsiders."

I think with Newcastle Arab money, he can be there but need to compete with Rafa as he is fans favorite. Or he can manage a Spanish club other than Real Madrid and Barcelona. I mean Poch's current achievement still not enough for him to move freely to big clubs, unlike Mourinho.

Maybe Real Madrid if Zidane decides to step down again, the Barca job is always a possibility. They change their coach like they change their underwear. Poch is a good manager, maybe now is his time to get a really big job.

I believe there is an EPL meeting again at 10:30am today to again try & decide how it is best to proceed. Watch this space again I guess.

3937  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 26 days to the halving left, what are you expecting? on: April 16, 2020, 10:40:20 AM
Maybe a speculative pump to 8000+ before the halving followed by a dump post halving & then a slow climb to over 1000 by the end of 2020.

The real fun will come in 2021.

Imagine if Newcastle become a top club  Roll Eyes
It might not be possible now though because of FFP, Man City did it in time before FFP existed.

^  Yup...  But I wonder how Ferguson matches up with Gaethje tho.  I mean with all of Ferguson's training prolly laser focused on Khabib and his style and tendencies.
In addition, I wonder what preparation Gaethje did despite of the last minute call from Dana? Do you think is it enough to beat the Rank 1 contender? *sigh Why we come this far?  Everything seems not on its proper place so I'll not get shocked if we all get disappointed after watching the event Grin
Edit:  And I wonder if there's an unreleased Inside the Octagon for Khabib vs Ferguson somewhere...
Maybe, I'm sure ther is but I think they don't release it on purpose due to big changes.

Gaethje would have taken this fight even if he hadn’t trained for 6 months. It’s a pay day & if he wins, a shot at Khabib. Gaethje won’t be scared but I expect Ferguson will win.

Benzema has been a great player for Real but he’s 32, they need to start to plan for the future. Lots of Real’s players are the wrong side of 30, you can’t but a whole new team in one transfer window so they need to try & do it gradually.
