The current lineup that defeated the KSA is already a good roster, leaded by Clarkson, I think with better chemistry and coaching job, we could have won against Lebanon.

Yes, because we have Kai Sotto and Clarkson already, how much more if we already have Jalen Green who is also an NBA player, this team will really improve so we need a good coach to carry it to its success.

Meanwhile, let's talk about the game tomorrow. I checked on my bookie and the line was very surprising.

SMB now is -3.5, the opposite of line in game 4.  Shocked
Let’s move on and see if Gilas will improve more on their next games, probably later this year.
The odds for SMB is quiet huge, I didn’t expect that since I though it will just -1.5, as usual the favorite team to win and they are so confident that SMB will take the lead again. It’s more exciting to see this kind of odds, i’ll place some bet against that odds, let’s see if TNT can really make a another good win tonight.

Yes, I just check the odds, its not -3.5 for SMB at 1.82, so I will take this one and hope they can bounce back and take a commanding league.

As for Gilas, we can't really compare those players before, sure we have somewhat reminisce some players, but we have a bunch now and seeing Jordan Clarkson playing together with Kai Sotto? future looks bright for us to at least get one full blooded Filipino to play in the NBA in the next coming years.
3942  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 30, 2022, 10:43:24 PM
It's not irrelevant.  Cp3 doesn't crash the paint anywhere near Westbrook.  That's where russ can create and wreck havoc on games but it also gets him in bad position.  Just pointing out both have different styles you can't compare the 2.  And yeah of course he lost a step at his age but I'd bet on the side of west having an off year.  Think he comes back better this year.

Yes, I agree with you. Even though it's clear that CP3 is really much more effective in the team last season compare to what Westbrook is giving, we can't conclude right away that Westbrook is totally not useful. Westbrook is disciplined in his body that he didn't even experience major injuries even how athletic is. Usually, an athletic player is prone to injury but Westbrook is not.

He just needs to fully become mentally prepared to somehow return to his usual performance. Not the same during his prime but a Westbrook that can adjust his gameplay and be helpful to his teammates.

I'd say that he is still worth the chance to prove his capabilities this coming season and have the same faith that coach Darvin Ham gave to him. We never know, Westbrook might be more effective this time because he knew that this is his last chance to prove his worthiness in the league as this is his last season too before he lands in free agency.

I agree, let's say we give Westbrook a chance this season, if he improve under coach Ham then good for the Lakers. If not, then for sure in the middle of the season we might see him get traded. And there are rumors that Ham wanted Pat and Russ play at the same time. So it will be an interesting combination to see them both in the floor. Two high octane players, gonna be fun.

Latest I see in the trade is that free agent Markieff Morris has agreed with the Nets,  it's a one year deal so for good him.

3943  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 30, 2022, 10:19:48 PM
Not sure though if Broner or someone in his camp cared to give some evidence that proves he has some mental issues that's why he backed out from that fight. Who wouldn't be so pissed about that? Grin You've allocated all your time and effort for a certain boxer to study his moves in the ring and Figueroa is really looking forward to fight Broner in the same ring but unfortunately, Broner turns his back on him.

Oh well, we really will not know the real reasons for now, maybe they just said to the organizations that AB has mental issues and can't be bothered and so he wanted to cancel the fight, so it is what it is. This could be the new norm of excuses if fighters just wake up and doesn't what to fight anymore. For sure Broner will get a lot of judgement on this one. Specially on his style and arrogant and self-important this guy is when promoting his fight.
Evidence should be provided or if not there should be penalties that must be imposed.
I read an article before that Figueroa's camp has some evidence that Broner is not really in a bad mental state.
He even called it just a reason to "cop out".
I guess this is the next bad reasoning after the Covid. Figueroa's fans are still not satisfied with what happened (loss to Lipinets) and all the blame are on what Broner did. I guess it really sucks to prepare at a full blow for your real match but will end up fighting a different boxer.

I think, Figueroa's camp should let things go.  Besides, it is their own incompetence that made them lose the fight.  It does suck to have the opponent replaced at the last moment but if the fight goes the other way around and Figueroa's won the fight, I doubt there will be an issue like this.  Besides, both fighters had given the same amount of time for preparation for the strategy since both fighters are notified at the same time.

Figueroa's had move forward already, of course there could be what if for him, maybe he can beat this version of Broner. But he has found his peace already, and just retire for good and focus on his family. We can't say the same with Broner though, I think he will still continue to fight for some money because he has a lot of mouths to feed.

Jake Paul has announced his next opponent is Anderson Silva. I think Jake might have but off a little more than he can chew this time. Sure, Silva is damn near 50 years old, but he’s got power that Jake hasn’t seen before. I like this fight. I’d rather have seen him fight Andrew Tate, but this was unexpected and a nice surprise.

Yes it is, https://www.mmafighting.com/2022/8/30/23328607/jake-paul-vs-anderson-silva-reportedly-set-for-october-boxing-bout

Quote
Jake Paul vs. Anderson Silva is about to go down.

TMZ reported Tuesday that Paul is set to face longtime UFC middleweight champion and MMA legend Silva in a boxing bout in October, with a location still to be determined. An initial report from NoSmokeBoxing has the bout scheduled for Oct. 29.

MMA Fighting’s Guilherme Cruz reached out to sources with knowledge of the matchup who confirmed that the bout is in the works.

Still a good fight and it make sense as it could still make a lot of money for both of them. But we all know that Anderson is way past his prime so all the advantage points to him.
3944  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins future is Bright on: August 30, 2022, 09:50:58 PM
We've existed for more than 10 years already, also still fairly young, but it seems that the future is bright. Specially with how the world is turning, inflation and so people look for ways to hedge against it so bitcoin will be a good choice for us. Although the price  is like -70% from it's all time high, it can still bounce back in the next coming years. And then we haver government like El Salvador who put BTC as legal tender, so there is no stopping this revolution.
3945  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Shakur Stevenson vs Robson Conceicao - Sept 23 on: August 29, 2022, 07:10:44 PM
So who's probably next after Conceicao? Move up to lightweight or try to become undisputed at super-featherweight? There are 2 more belts to collect for Shakur in the division with each of them owned by new champions just this year. New IBF champion Joe Cordina mentioned that he wanted Shakur while new WBA champ Hector Garcia I believe is not tied up to any rival networks of ESPN which is also very doable. But my dream fight for Shakur is to fight Haney before the undisputed champ moves up to super lightweight.

Hard to predict, lots of scenario as you have said:

1. unify the belts at 130 first, I think he can beat Cordina and Roger Gutierrez - for his legacy
2. move up to 135 test the water first and maybe down the line Haney or Davis - for the money

So it really up to him and his camp, he is still young though, so plenty of opportunities along the way for him.

If I had a choice, it's better to get all the belts at 130 lbs, and there seems to be a new name in the horizon, Hector Luis Garcia, he defeated Roger Gutierrez to capture the WBA super featherweight title. So I think that alone will be a good motivation for Shakur because it seems that Hector is a good challenge.

And he is also calling Shakur for a unification fight before he moves to the next weight category (same plan as Shakur). And if Stevenson beat him then he will have the needed fight for a Davis fight in the future.
3946  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 29, 2022, 06:14:43 PM

Who knows, maybe he will retire as a Knicks and could be offer as well a job after his NBA player career is over. Also, I think his presence as a veteran will be appreciated by the young Knicks. As CP3 said, he is a fan of Udonis Haslem because "young guys needs vets."

Looks like this is his own decision and he might be there with just a reasonable salary. During his time with the Knicks, he was unstoppable but unfortunately is not enough to win a championship since it was also the time when the other championship teams are rising as well. Now he can just pass some good advice to the young guns and maybe he will be the reason for their improvement in the future.

He should retire as a Knicks because that's where he has the best season.
https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/a/anthoca01/gamelog/2012/#site_menu_link

I'm happy to see him retire as a Knicks, though he had some great seasons with the Nuggets, but he will be more remembered as the Knicks as that's his last team where he was still in his prime.

Yes, that's what I'm also thinking, when he got traded to the Knicks in his career, he was still in his prime that's why he had one of the best years of his career as a Knick.

So it's just fitting that after all of this years in the NBA with several teams, it's either be Denver or Knicks that should retire his jersey and as I have said, could be in the front office as well.
3947  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots and Crash Game version Football. on: August 29, 2022, 05:50:44 PM
These are seasonal games added to the list of available casino games. Now a gambler who is much into football will go with the above kind of crash game whereas the common gambler will prefer the regular crash game. Till the days of FIFA this will be available and once the Cricket World Cup starts we can see cricket ball at the place of football. Everything is business, more being creative is much needed as the competence within the market is very high.

Definitely, it's all for the opportunity, to take advantage of the current FIFA and so it will create hype for gamblers. Because for sure fans are also gamblers right, we bet on our favorite teams. And then when by chance we saw this crash games fully design for our ours, at if tailor fit then for sure we are going to play it. So it's a win-win for us and the gambling platform. And I don't think that it's not that hard to do that, some simply tweaks for the developers but instant fun for us gamblers.
3948  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bottom For Bitcoin? on: August 29, 2022, 05:03:23 PM
The bottom of Bitcoin is apparently 17500, but according to experts, the month of September has always been bad and no good news is coming out. Bitcoin crash is also due to the upcoming CPI data.  Can also dump Bitcoin and make a new bottom due to MT Gox Token. Bitcoin may come down further in next few days or weeks, chances are also seen.bitcoins Can dump 12k to 16k.

We can only hope for the best this month of September, but as you can see, we go to $19k, but the market rebounded and get back to our support level of $20k. I think the CPI announcement has been price in already. But the Mt. Gox is still going to haunt us maybe till next month.

However, I don't see it dumping to the price that you have protected, for me the lowest low are already in at least for this year, around $17,500. If we will go down that low, we should have seen it already, but we didn't. Again the lowest we got is just $19k.
3949  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: August 29, 2022, 04:27:26 PM
And maybe just to break the ice in this fight, Kambosos said that he is proud of Teo Lopez going to 140 lbs and winning his first fight against Campa. Not sure if this is a complement or something as they have big trash talking fight in the media prior to their fight.

Quote
“Me and Teo always go back and forth,” said Kambosos during a recent interview with FightHype.com. “I still go back at him when he brings up all of these excuses that he has but I’m proud of him. I’m actually very proud of him. To come back after the fight that we had, it shows that he’s a champion. I wish him all the best at 140.”

https://www.boxingscene.com/george-kambosos-praises-teofimo-lopez-following-comeback-win-im-proud-him--168680

Maybe it just humble George when he lost to Haney and now going on a rematch and I will say in a survival mode because this is a must win for him.
3950  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Justin Bons baseless criticisms on: August 29, 2022, 03:43:16 PM
I actually have not heard of Justin Bons before today. But its not surprising to see someone from known Institutions to wish to acquire control over an asset.

Same here, never heard of him before and I'm glad that I did because it's all misinformation.

Anyhow, those who attack or put a lot of FUD will not last that long, sooner or later they will be exposed and so people are not going to believed on what they tweet or their opinion will not matter. Well if he has change his mind against bitcoin then so be it. And the more he open his mouth, the more obvious that he really didn't know what bitcoin is, and you can just shake your head with his arguments.
3951  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Dmitry Bivol vs Zurdo Ramirez on: August 29, 2022, 03:07:19 PM
I still cannot find the betting odds in this fight. But I'm expecting Ramirez as the underdog at around 2.5 to 3.0. I will be surprised if Ramirez's odds reach as high as 3.5 or even more at 4.0.

Yes, I just checked just now and the odds are not still there.

Bivol is clearly the favorite here as a technical fighter and he just beat the pound-for-pound king. The excellent news for Bivol is that this fight is happening in UAE so maybe we can avoid biased judges and referees here. Because if this fight happens in the US then it will be nearly the same as the Canelo fight when it comes to judging knowing Ramirez as a cash cow of Golden Boy Promotions and he is also undefeated and popular.

And it's good that the judges are not going to be biased in this fight. As we can see in the Canelo vs Bivol fight, the judges wanted to make the score very close and if Canelo won in the last rounds then maybe Bivol will be robbed, hehehe. So I'm expecting the judges in a foreign country will be different and even if American judges are going to be pick, they will have to be fair here otherwise, other countries in the M.E. will not host a fight if they think this judges are influence by big promotions like Golden Boy or Top Rank.
3952  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: NFT WORTH WITH SUCCESS? on: August 29, 2022, 02:44:00 PM
DEAR COMMUNITY I HAVE SOME QUESTION ABOUT NFT.
WHAT IS WAY TO MAKE OURSELF AS NFT EXPORT/ WHERE I CAN SELL NFT WITH DIFFERIANTE WAY/ HOW I MADE AWESOME NFT/ WHICH NFT HAVE WORTH(SIMPLE,3D,ANIMATION)HuhHuhHuh

Of course, the more complicated the design of your NFT (3d and or animation), the more it will fetch in the market. But the question is, how good is your design and graphics and it is something unique in the market? Because as others have said, it seems to have been saturated as well, just like the previous hype on altcoin market and then it will suddenly die down. And as far was we have seen, if you are one of those early birds then for sure he will more money out of it, jut saying. You might want to have it here though: https://opensea.io/ - the biggest NFT marketplace.
3953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 29, 2022, 02:15:08 PM
It could have a rematch (even if there is no written clause in the initial contract), if the fight is going to be razor sharp close or maybe even in a draw.

But if it's a convincing win, then maybe not, but if there is a huge money involved then again, they could go and fight one more before going up in weight. So I guess the fans will also have a final say and maybe the promoters are going to take that lead from us if they see a demand for it.

We never know, because that always depends on the winner if he will give a rematch, that's why to ensure a rematch will happen, it should be written in the contract. One example is the fight between Mayweather and Pacman, for some, they think it was a close fight, and both could make huge money again if Mayweather gave a rematch, but he choose not to fight again just to ensure he will keep his undefeated record.

Right, I would say that the public will demand for it if the fight is close, but we will have to see how the first fight is going to be good. Although they have both plans to move up in 154 lbs chances are they will have to wait for the pulse of the boxing fans regardless of who is going to win. Mayweather is afraid that he will lost in the rematch because Manny is not 100% that's why he refuses and just ok with doing some exhibitions to make the same money, less risk for Floyd.
3954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: August 29, 2022, 01:50:54 PM
There’s no doubt about the performance of TNT in game 4, in almost field they work great and with SMB struggling with their passes and offense, the result is too bad for them. The series is tied what we can expect next is both team will surely want to take the lead and only those who work hard and execute their strategy well will surely win, fixing game is not real in a series like this, and let’s see who will take the game 5 because right now it’s really hard to predict.

SMB should fix that problem. Also, the one where June Mar is trapped inside, and the ball is getting stolen by smaller guards. It is their time to adjust now because TNT seems to find that sweet spot where they can defend the onslaught of June Mar. They also should limit their turnovers. TNT was able to convert 15 pts from turnovers. They also have 17 points from the fast break. I think we will see big adjustments from the side of San Miguel to address that problem coming from TNT.
SMB has a good coaching staff and most probably they saw that problem that occur on their last game, they will adjust accordingly. With TNT, for sure they will continue to play that good strategy and have neck and neck fight with SMB, game 5 can be more thrilling and I can see a point of 200+ again in the game 5. This is a high scoring game with great team, who ever take the lead for sure will have more confident getting into game 6, for now let's focus on the odds first for the game 5.
Both have an outstanding coaches, they will do everything to win that's why the series is very close. We are now tied with 2-2 score, so games going forward should be very exciting to watch. Next game will be this coming Wednesday, there's no odds yet, but I'm sure it will not be -3.5 TNT, maybe SMB will be the favorite next game.

I think it will still be SMB as the favorite in the next game even if they lost the previous games. Again I'm not going to be surprised if this series is extending to game 7. And I would say it is a balance series obviously, no one has the upper hand and it's a gam of momentum. And probably boils down as who wanted to win this series and raised the trophy. So it's going to be a battle of defense and their best players performing above, JMF for SMB and Castro for TNT.
3955  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin do $19k again before a bull market? on: August 29, 2022, 09:11:50 AM
I usually don't bother my self about BTC price but always keep update with news.

Good for you.

But yet I decided to take a look at the price chart, then I saw that BTC price has broke the support for $20,700, the direction of the market has turned bearish and the next support should be seen in the $18k / $19k  area. There may be a continuous downward movement this weekend. Trade with mindfulness and add a stop loss in all trades.

It looks like we have broken the big mental support of $20k, and usually when it does, the price will definitely go down. A lot of selling pressures in the last 24 hours.

If it happens that Bitcoin goes down to $18 or 19k, that will be the last time it will go that low this year, what do you guys think about this (Bitcoin experts in the forum)?

I'm no expert but I don't think that we will go super bearish and hit another low this year. $17,500 might be the lowest in this bear market. So far the price have jump from the lows of $19k to highs and hopefully we can go back to $20k again.
3956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you exchange Fiat for Crypto or Vice Versa? on: August 29, 2022, 08:23:11 AM
Whether you work for Fiat or Crypto, most people have to exchange in order to pay bills or survive.

What's your Fiat/Crypto situation?

We are just lucky that we have a local crypto exchange that we can used to pay our bills, internet, phone, water and even electricity bill and to some extend credit cards as well.

So yes, I used crypto->fiat at least once a month. But not all my crypto are in that exchange, I just transfer if I needed to use this services like in the pandemic. As we have said, BYOB and have a wallet that you can. total control of.
3957  Local / Pamilihan / Re: NBA discussion, betting and etc. on: August 29, 2022, 07:44:39 AM

As far as I know, guranteed na may matatangap ang player, nasa contract nila ito regardless of injury so may sweldo parin sya kahit hindi naglalaro.

Although na settle naman out of court at nagkabayaran.

There are reports that Carmelo might go back to the Knicks as he shows intention that he wanted to play in that City.

He was even a surprised guest in the VMA awards night.

“‘I have certainly heard that Carmelo’s got interest in a reunion,’ NBA insider Jake Fischer said. ‘I don’t know if the Knicks have much interest there.'”

Who knows, maybe he will retire as a Knicks and could be offer as well a job after his NBA player career is over. Also, I think his presence as a veteran will be appreciated by the young Knicks. As CP3 said, he is a fan of Udonis Haslem because "young guys needs vets."
3959  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October on: August 29, 2022, 06:28:31 AM
We can check that on his record - https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/659771

Lomachenko only lost to 2 fighters of the total 18 fights he had.

1st - Orlando Salido via split decision
2nd - Teofimo Lopez via unanimous decision.
IMO the first lost is because he's too young to face very experienced boxer since Orlando Salido have fought 55 times while it's the second fight for Lomachenko. The second lost is due to his injury as we can see Lomachenko is very weird on the first sixth rounds, he's like a different person. What I know Lomachenko is a flash since he is vigorous, quick and unpredictable as he like to change his stance.

Right, that was just his second fight in his career but was match against the more experienced Salido. But I guess it did good for Loam in the long term, as his eyes is open to the professional world of boxing, as we all know that he has an extensive experience as an amateur. And after that lost to Salido he won successively becoming a champion and then lost to Lopez later and then we just know that he has a shoulder injury in their fight. But a healthy version of Loma is almost unbeatable.

It seems that we have a good fight last night, Commey vs Pedraza battling it out for a split draw. I was waiting for this fight but it seems that the fight started late as I expected so I didn't see it. And so I was surprised to see how the fight turns out. It seems to be the favorite Pedraza rallied in the last 4 rounds to force that verdict. Commey suffered a cut and they Pedraza take advantage of it to somewhat get out of the eventual lost. Scores where: Judge Henry Gueary scored for Pedraza, 97-93, David Sutherland scored it 96-94 Commey and Judge Gary Ritter scored it 95-95.
