3961  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mtgox: Question for those who sold BTC at the end on: March 02, 2014, 10:55:50 AM
Right now after Mtgox declared bankruptcy, you'd think Mtgox price would be worthless, but it's still selling at around $20 USD.
What will it take for you people to get it through your heads that Gox is not dead and that they have not filed for bankruptcy?

They have only filed for "civil rehabilitation", see:
http://www.mtgox.com
https://www.jurists.co.jp/en/publication/tractate/article_10073.html#03

Ok but bankruptcy is not out of question to say the least

I think that some people who were selling at low price were expecting the price to go lower so they were hoping to buy at a lower price, I know that because I asked why people were selling at those low prices and someone answered me that, it does make sense

I started playing ponzi's two weeks ago with 0.04 btc, which is now 0.9btc+ Cheesy

I started with 3btc I have 1 left

Now I know where it went, you must be playing better than me, your bitcoins are obviously very lucky send me some dust for good luck : 1247stFukbVxL8c6bYf5NWvaCR8p68EtTg

Luckydust sent! The game of ponzi is all about balancing greed and caution Cheesy

Haha thanks, let's see if this dust is really lucky! It is my first tip on bitcointalk and my second tip ever

I know the theory but I have been playing bad : I think I have not been careful enough but I have been unlucky as well (scamm.ed twice)

Thank you for the kind comments! You're all in, good luck, enjoy the book!

I downloaded the book and I want to participate

It is a pretty smart way to advertise your book, you may even get more than 0.01 in donations from people that red your book because of your post Smiley

How will you draw the winner? Decide a number x then look who wrote the message x?
Yes,certainly. I will throw all usernames at Random.org in the order they participated and after I press the randomize button the first in the list will be the winner.

Ok, I was just curious to know Huh

Didn't we reach 100 players by now? When is the draw? I feel in luck

lesson to learn

dont use ANY exchange for long term store.

do your trade and withdraw. deposit later if you want to trade again.

if you are a day trader that wants to do multiple trades per hour/day and dont want the hassle of withdrawing/depositing. then DO NOT put all of your funds into an exchange. risk 10% or an amount you think your safe enough to lose.

i have a cold store. i only play with a small percentage on an exchange and when that amount reaches a certain level i withdraw the profits and repeat again with just that minimum amount. i make a heck of a lot more profit then having FIAT in a bank account for a year. and have my funds safe away from all of these third parties.

imagine it this way, if you have 1000BTC only risk 10btc-100btc. when lets say 10btc becomes 11btc. withdraw the 1btc profit. rinse and repeat and all of them 1btc's add up and after a year you will have a heck of alot more then 1000BTC but without risking it all with third parties.

i am now independantly wealthy, not relying on an employer to give me an income, or a third party to look after my funds. and thats what BTC should be all about

Yes you are right, don't trust banks, government or exchanges

I think Bitcoin need exchanges that show that they have the money either by being audited by a trusted third party or giving the public addresses where the funds are
3965  Economy / Gambling / Re: [TRUSTED] New round of the best ponzi ever! ponzi120.com ! [TRUSTED] on: March 02, 2014, 10:33:43 AM
Long time no pay.

There is 3.4BTC in the wallet that should pay players, I think fast automatic payments would be needed for next round

And if we could have some advertising for this round in order to spice things up that would be nice (bitvisitor, freebitco or even on bitcointalk)

I don't understand, you are changing the rules all the time man : the new round was supposed to be tonight I still have a whole day to get paid I was next next in line to be paid

Then this morning you said in 2h30 and it started after 1h30

I have no control over when rounds start (other than changing the code). Dates are calculated via epoch, and I'm pretty sure epoch is accurate.

As promised, no rules have been, or will be changed during a round. Any rule changes are announced at the same time as any reset, i.e. the max deposit limit change.

Keep depositing everyone - over 6BTC paid out, in this round, already!

Last payout was yesterday night and it is supposed to be 24h between new rounds so you did change the rules!

This morning it was written 2h30 left on the website, I come back 1h30 after and the new round started, did someone else have the same problem or I am going crazy?

I haven't been paid for my deposit dd458fd20f15532a067520edc52243165e77037653f39ce9e6465d0c00532553 when there was enough deposits after me to pay me, it is unacceptable! Next time I will do 10 deposits of 0.005, it is stup.id

When is the next round? Will it be a new address?

3970  Other / Meta / Re: Questions to theymos about the $1,000,000 forum software project on: March 01, 2014, 10:31:37 PM
There is 6200BTC here : https://blockchain.info/address/17RTTUAiiPqUTKtEggJPec8RxLMi2n9EZ9

The truth is Theymos is taking decisions as well as he can, it is a bit authoritative and many old members don't agree with his decisions but it is how it works now so we have to rely on his; it will change and everything will be different in a few years because it isn't stable enough atm
I like the idea that he is a good guy, he can definitely be influenced and that is why I threw my idea of a big giveaway; the most recent members don't always feel welcome and they would after a huge giveaway

I think that if he's truly acting in the best interest on the community, then he shouldn't have any issues explaining his reasoning or actions.  Since he won't/can't do that, it looks pretty sketchy.  I don't think it's too much to ask since he's dropped $350,000 out of ~$1,000,000 total on a new forum.

I am very interested by what you guys who were here early enough think about all this and my opinion is a bit irrelevant in the matter because I don't have enough informations yet and I was not here early enough

But to be honest Theymos does answer a lot of questions asked exemple : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=455867.msg5069851#msg5069851

He is pretty busy and he has been given a lot of power that he is using the best he can; as far as I understand he probably made a huge mistake with the 350,000$ (was it really 350,000$ when he paid or is it 350,000$ at today's price??) and he doesn't recognise it, maybe he will when it is crystal clear that it was a mistake; the rest of the money is here so it can still be used well

3972  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: March 01, 2014, 08:26:02 PM
The normal size signature is 14pts, can someone confirm I have the correct one and that I will get 0.0003 per constructive post?

EDIT : 0.0003BTC Per constructive post If you have a full sized signature-0.0001BTC per constructive post with the small signature.-only Senior Members (!!) can have the long signature

cf  Proposal: Disallow Ads in Signatures https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=484259.160

I have the feeling that next month payments will be indeed 0.00000001. for everybody.
If theymos gets annoyed by the huge amount of post on the forum , he will probably kill sigs  , all of them.

Don't forget that sig deals are a direct competitor to the banners and links on the forum .

If he does, many people would leave the forum entirely, and still more would be visiting it a lot less...

That sounds just like the previous giveaway ban , and when it was proposed to kill the alt section.
It's not the sigs , the altcoins , the giveaways that keep this forum on , it's bitcoin. Don't forget that sig deals are relatively new , at least at this magnitude.

Actually, it's people that come here which keeps the forum going, and some of them come here because of an opportunity to earn some bitcoins at that...

Yes the signatures deal are making the forum a lot of money, the members make money and it is bringing momentum

3974  Economy / Services / Re: ★★MAKE UP TO 2.6 BTC. ★★ review! on: March 01, 2014, 08:15:40 PM
It seems that he should pay every 2weeks or every week at first to build trust or he should even pay upfront

I cannot enter the campaign because I am still only a Junior Member and I think the offer is great in terms of what it pays but I don't think I would have register because of the possibility of being cheated, I am feeling pretty confident with Primedice that has apparently always been paying perfectly

I had the same debate cause of the feed back. I`m on the same boat as well with being Jr. Member.

There was a thread awhile back, someone mentioned he stopped a campaign due to something on people buying accounts from someone.

Yes that was this thread : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=432705.0 That is probably where all his negative thrust come from

0.0006BTC per post is pretty juicy, does it come with a 25% from referees?

You don't have any add in your signature at the moment, may I ask why?
3975  Economy / Gambling / Re: [TRUSTED] New round of the best ponzi ever! ponzi120.com ! [TRUSTED] on: March 01, 2014, 08:07:56 PM
thanks guys !

i will be afk for about half an hour,  dont be afraid, i'll be back

Could you pay out first so people can reinvest right away?

Still 12BTC to be paid out : https://blockchain.info/address/1PoNZizx1ACqj5Y4e2Z8zUcZwGKga6y9ej

Thanks for the good work
3976  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [TRUSTED]The best of Ponzi !! ponzi120 new round !! [TRUSTED] on: March 01, 2014, 08:06:58 PM
nice, we going to 100 Cheesy

Let's go to 446BTC like round1

Advertise the ponzi everywhere guys

@OP : please buy some adds on bitvisitor and http://freebitco.in/?r=163799 to redistribute the wealth

Still 12BTC to be awarded, at least 50% should be reinvested
3977  Other / Meta / Re: Questions to theymos about the $1,000,000 forum software project on: March 01, 2014, 07:53:46 PM
I am dreaming totally but I would like to share my Junior Member idea : what would be nice and would maybe ease everyone's mind would be a huge give away for all members, just a few hundreds BTC but it would be in the spirit of the early days of Bitcoin

Theymos would gain some more support from everyone and a lot of good people will receive some bitcoins, it would be-legendary
3978  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where are the 800,000 BTC stolen from Mt Gox on the blockchain? on: March 01, 2014, 07:44:20 PM
There is an interesting post about mtgox clients trying to retrace their deposits :

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=493511.msg5451195#msg5451195

And there is also this other thread about that : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=494761.msg5451149#msg5451149

If it was stolen (by an mtgox employee, one or more outsiders), they can easily hide them and launder them so it seems kind of useless to trace them but you never know, there is probably way more in this fiasco that what meets the eye

Wow this is very interesting

The problem is I don't think an competent agency will look into all that mtgox fiasco the way it should looked at, big governments have tens of thousands of agencies but they never have the one needed

What about crowd funding a professional team that will look into that?
