The plastic food container is going to be dumped in the trash and it won't biodegrade for MANY years.
A Bitcoin is created only ONCE and used forever.

So, your argument is invalid.
Sorry!

Hahahahaha. Look people, he throws away plastic food containers! Now I see where u r from and why u don't care about ecology. Btw, I didn't know that African aborigines have Internet connection...

OH wise and funny hero member.

Do you keep all the crap that your take away food has been served in?
And if you do, do you actually have real dishes in your house, or did that technology not come to your village yet?

BTW I am a CYPRIOT aboriginal and guess what?
We have the worlds first Bitcoin bank and many retail stores that you can use your bitcoins directly to buy stuff.

No shit, check it out:
http://www.coindesk.com/bank-like-bitcoin-portal-neo-opens-first-branch-cyprus/
http://www.neo-bee.com/en/

So tell me Oh wise and much funny hero member,
First,
Do you have internet connection?
If you do please visit Bitcoin.org and do some research.
Once you do that then you can come here and post shit about Bitcoin.

Second,
Where do you live?
I live in a "shitty" island yet I have far more technology available here then where you are located (I am guessing).

Third:
How is your plan going?
Did you manage to get any "cheap" coins?

PS: I was about to go to bed and hit the ignore button for once since I joined here.
But, I would really love to take you on, on this Smiley

OH WISE AND FUNNY HERO MEMBER.

PS 2: You should know that there are many African aboriginals that make more money than you using the internet.
And yes they have internet!!!!!

And who would have guess that a little "shit-hole" like Cyprus would go where others didn't.

3962  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Mark Karpeles Personal Bitcoin Holdings on: March 02, 2014, 10:35:36 PM
where is that article which says mark karpeles has 330k personal bitcoins..... it was 8 months ago approx, reuters or forbes i think

I could be wrong but,
Wouldn't that be more than what the FBI has seized from Silkroad and DPR?

er... Yes

So doesn't that make Mark's wallet the biggest in the world?

No. Satoshi is estimated to have at least 1 million bitcoin stored in addresses with 50 BTC each.

That is just an estimation.

Also, many people mined back then and then deleted their wallets because it was worthless at the time.

So it is not certain as to how much coins Satoshi mined.

Also, it is not also certain that Satoshi even kept his wallets.

So it is not certain as to how much coins anyone has.

No one knows...

^^^ that is true, but that is also the main purpose behind Bitcoin.
Protecting your assets by keeping your personal information personal Wink

My name is Idea AtM 23, Im CEO and Founder of. Celebrity Green Room. Bit coin in general is a no/super-fail! Btc makes no sense if you understand economics big picture. If any of you will google this info you can avoid the cheat: http://www.washingtonsblog.com/2013/06/microsoft-programmed-in-nsa-backdoor-in-windows-by-1999.html
I told them long ago not to do Mt. Gox, him filing with US Regulators wasn't enough?Huh, its bit coins right?!? Fact that those bit coins cant be excluded from market and new ones generated to repair client accounts is a very big deal, do they not know the bit coin info, there's only 22 mil btc should be an easy fix but they told clients it was missing/stolen and gave up so the loss stays a loss. Plenty of brite minds in btc Wink Now with $480 mil missing Mt. Gox/he can and did file for bankruptcy ( kiss your money good buy Smiley, premeditated or not had your money been with Celebrity Green Room you would still have it and making another 30 mil annually in passive income. Btc has thousands of vulnerablilties, Celebrity Green Room is unhackable!, that means zero chance you can lose even a peso. Unless you know of another site where you cant lose any money and if site went down you can get your cash at local safety deposit boxes

Wow, thanks for the info but I must say,
it is the first time that I have met a CEO that cannot spell properly.

It is bright, not brite!

Also, it is 21 millions not 22.

Thanks for stopping by.

3964  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitmain Antminer U2 on: March 02, 2014, 10:27:14 PM
I don't understand the purpose of these USB miners.

They will never make ROI, plus don't they have to be controlled by a computer?

And how much power does that consume?

in fact, this is the only unit i have owned that make ROI.. not in mining, trading the hardware. selling these units was a great deal Smiley

It is also 15BTC for 500 units.

I have actually heard from a lot of people making good money by selling USB miners.

I personally don't think it is a good move for me.
If I had 15BTC to invest it would be on other things Wink

3965  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin & PoW is a waste of energy & destroys nature on: March 02, 2014, 09:59:23 PM
Anything that has an electric plug and consumes electricity is bad for the environment.

That being said, what makes Bitcoin mining more harmful than let's say plastic products production?

Plastic product production becomes more and more efficient each year (numberOfItems/kWh ratio). Bitcoin production becomes less and less efficient each year (numberOfCoins/kWh ratio).

Right, so creating let's say a plastic food container, the ones you get at take ways and junk food places is more efficient than generating a Bitcoin, HOWEVER, how is it more environmentally friendly?

The plastic food container is going to be dumped in the trash and it won't biodegrade for MANY years.
A Bitcoin is created only ONCE and used forever.

So, your argument is invalid.
Sorry!

EDIT: Let's not forget about all the crap that come out of the chimneys of all these plastic product manufacturers.
Seriously, your argument is VERY invalid.

I must admit that I didn't even bother reading the OP.
Just the title was enough to say: NO

Let me say that again: NO

That is completely against the entire Bitcoin movement.

That is the very definition of the word prejudice -  making a determination on a matter without having reasonably sufficient info to draw a rational conclusion.

If the bitcoin movement is unsafe for worldwide consumption and only for a niche community then keep it to yourself, but if you want worldwide acceptance it must be safe.

So you are saying that Bitcoin should be regulated and controlled to make it "safe"?

3970  Economy / Services / Re: [SELLING] How to buy bitcoin with credit card instant on: March 02, 2014, 05:35:09 PM
Hi, selling method to buy instant bitcoin with credit card, from 100$ to 1500$.

Selling for 0.05BTC

How about giving this info for free?

How would that work?

Here is how....

Create an account on Virwox and verify it.
Neteller will also do the trick since it has unlimited funding options.

Deposit money from your VISA (either directly from Virwox or Neteller).

Convert your deposited money to SLL, then to BTC.

The whole process takes only about a couple of hours to have the BTC in your wallet.

Now you know how to do it for free!

No man those are bullshit, you can find on google 10-20 failing method.
My way is faster and i think not many people know about.

If you know about it, then others know about it too.

Please, if you have something to offer to the community do so, otherwise be quiet.

I have sent to this address.

SO?

You are suspect.

Yes... BTC_Bear is a suspected member of the group Satoshi.

What?
That's stupid.

There is no group Satoshi.

I am Satoshi  Grin

Now please, I have tried to be logical about this, but you people keep claiming my hard work  Grin

Seriously itemgirl, it is nothing but spam.

Other users got some too.
Look it up in the forums and you will see this is correct.

3973  Other / Off-topic / Re: Mark Karpeles Trolling on: March 02, 2014, 04:26:24 PM
I don't believe this was a coincidence.  Look at the tie, the posture, the facial expression.

It's not his fault he looks like that.  He's French. And he's a fat fuck.

A Fat French Fuck

You are being a little bit racist here...

Fat or chubby people are people too you know.....

BTW, did anyone noticed that the shirt's collar button can't close. It's not the shirt's collar button that holds the top, it's the tie.

That's one big neck man.
It's even bigger than mine and I am chubby.

3974  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BitCoin ramblings from a noob that's got almost 800GHs in mining.. on: March 02, 2014, 04:18:10 PM
I used to point my own miners at cex.io due to the fact that they had 0% fees and the extra alt coins.

That being said, ever since I moved back to BTCGuild I make more BTC with my miners even if I pay a small fee.
And as far as the alt cons, they ain't worth jack shit.

Dump the GH power you have on CEX and keep the coins.

If you wish to mine for coins then get a few of these: https://bitmaintech.com/productDetail.htm?pid=00020140107162747992Ce5uBuxW06D6

5 Ants will cost you 6.725BTC excluding the PSUs

That's 1TH power overclocked.
More than you have now, for less coins.

And you get to keep the change Wink

You figured out how to use that Second Life exchange? Good for you.

It is not the most economic way to go about it but it's sure as hell the fastest for me at this point.

3977  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Failure to Understand Bitcoin Could Cost Investors Billions" (Bitcoin's flaws) on: March 02, 2014, 03:03:35 PM
AnonyMint, how did you become a senior member here?

Dating back, March 14th 2013, when you first joined, your very first post was about a flaw in Bitcoin.

What gives?

Why do you fight Bitcoin so much?

Who is your employers?
You are spending too much time trying to get people away from Bitcoin so obviously there is something else behind it.

Wanna share with us?

3980  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So ... who spent money on Gox trying to buy $100 coins? on: March 02, 2014, 02:02:41 PM
I almost traded 1 REAL BTC for Gox BTC on Bitcoin Builder.

Then, judging by my past experience with MtGox, I decided not to and withdrew my BTC.

A few hours later, MtGox went down.
