unlike the slots with small wins , I see players there tend to continue gambling even if they hit what's considered a good payout comparing it with the variance level since the payout won't be that much of satisfying so I see they tend to wager much more with these slots
Yes, it also affects the psychology for sure, so they will play more. However, I still find it difficult to go zero in a low-variance slot like Starburst, just try it mate... Fun mode is okay for an experiment Grin

Grim Muerto(playngo) if you hit 2 scatter you have a second chance to get the third by picking 1 out of 4 book
Very good game! But the RTP is pretty low though, at 94.57%
I would pick it if it has >95% RTP since I like the "2nd chance" and Coco (2017) movie like theme.

As long as you are wining in gambling, these emotions also give you joy but as soon as you started losing, the emotions dies.
Obviously, if you are winning, you will go crazy. However, if you are losing, the emotion did not just die, but it will get worse...
Lemme give you an example about some dude missclick resulting in 3762 EUR loss Grin *still funny though

3983  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What does Gambling really mean to you? on: May 19, 2020, 01:23:47 PM
* Gambling for me is something you have the chance of winning the prize or any value, if there is no chance then you're not gambling. Gambling requires that there is a chance you might win something for your bet.
* Gambling also considered as a way source of income, there are many gamblers who tend to play because of earning money but the sad part of it is when you tend to play for money but going out having a lack of money.
* Gambling also considered a way of entertainment, there are many people who play gamble just only for entertainment or to kill boredom, it is more fun when you play with your friends.
* Some also considered gambling as a threat, once you become addicted to gambling there are many things that could change, you may lose control, you may forget some of the responsibilities of yours, as a parent, as a child, as wife or husband, etc.
The worst thing is that you may lose all of your property and can cause depression on you.

Gambling for me is just risking your money in exchange for a chance to win big with some entertainment in the process of doing so, just like your *1 and *3 combined. Perhaps so many problem gamblers exist out there because they took this game too seriously.

Remember:
Addiction, mentally ill, health symptoms, etc. Too much negativity in the gambling industry, especially in this forum where ironically casinos have paid a lot of users.
You know what? You are a gambler even though you haven't realized it.
When you were a kid in school, you gamble in your exam when you didn't know the answer. Should I mark option A or B or C?
You gamble in your career path, your spouse, your children's education, literally everything that is unknown.
But it doesn't involve money, sir? You gamble in your purchasing and investment decisions as well.
Inspired by this debate: https://www.debate.org/opinions/is-gambling-morally-wrong
Thank you for reading, let's be more positive and tell me a funny/interesting story about your gambling experience here. Gambling should be for fun, not for getting rich.
3984  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: May 19, 2020, 11:28:53 AM
am I the only one who finds high variance slots can be much less money burner ?
It depends on your luck mate, as always, perhaps you didn't play long enough to notice how quickly your balance got depleted when you had bad luck. In high volatility slots, winning is rarer than the low one, so that's why "buying feature" often used like all-in before gamblers go home empty if he didn't have a big bankroll. Otherwise, gamblers usually have a big bankroll as @Bitinity said, so even they are in the losing streak, they still can recover.

most Slot players has big bankroll to play because the minimum bet for most slots cant be considered as low for poor. Poor man's favorite game is lottery imho.
Lot's of games only cost $0.4 (minimum) per spin mate.

Megaways is a 5-reel slot with rows that varied for each spin

It can be more than 5 reel. Example is Aztec Gold Megaways and Majestic from Isoftbet, Great Rhino Megaways (Pragmatic). They are 6 reels slot games created by Big Time Gaming in a collaboration with those 3rd party providers.

Coming up to Grid setup, basically there are some more different setup aside from what you have explained above. Slot like God Temple Deluxe from Boongo for example, it has 6 reels with 2 rows for the 1st reel, 3 for 2nd, 4 for 3rd till 7 for the last 6th reel. Once we hit the bonus game (free spins), the layout will be reversed. So 1st reel will be 7 rows, 2nd with 6 rows and so on.
Correct! Thanks for a more detailed explanation.

jammin jars and dead or alive 2
Here are my favorite slots:
- CoyWolf by Play n Go
- Wins of Fortune by Quickspin
- Mega Moolah by Microgaming: the huge jackpot is the most attractive thing
- Reactoonz by Play n Go
- The slot game on Stake
Jammin Jars, DOA2, Reactoonz are popular games. Perhaps I'll put it on my list based on the community suggestion if more members mention it. Thanks!

Setelah harga naik, ane jual tu BTC.

Ane bakal jadi sultan tanpa perlu follower dan repot-repot posting di sosmed.

Judul threadnya sudah sangat tepat.
3986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Slots 101: Basics, Strategies, and Discussion (with poll) on: May 18, 2020, 05:52:13 PM
Slots, the poor man's favorite game, is probably the most straightforward yet most diverse game to date. This thread is for those of you who aren't a grammar nazi and won't cry if you lose your gambling budget. Anyway, let's take a more in-depth look at this "killing time" machine.

Grid setup

The reel is the vertical part of the grid, or simply, the column that spins vertically. Nowadays, online slots use RNG instead of mechanical reels, but the term "reel" has been used for centuries, so it is still widely used around the world. From my observation, most online slots games use five reels or more, but legend says some also use three reels (see figure 1).

In 2015/2016, there is a new setup called Megaways.
Quote
Megaways was created by Australia-based slot development studio Big Time Gaming and first hit the market in 2015 with its Dragon Born title. But it wasn’t until Bonanza launched in 2016 that Megaways entered the mainstream and took the online slots world by storm.
Source

Megaways is a slots game with rows that varied for each spin. See figure 2 for the Megaways example of a 5-reel slot.

Oh, there is also a puzzle-like setup similar to Candy Crush et al.

Wild and Scatter

* Wild: the symbol can turn into any symbol except scatter.
* Scatter: collect three or more will trigger a bonus level; this symbol doesn't have to be aligned (see figure 3).
* Bonus level: you will get x free spins added with various multipliers, the layout, number of the grid, mechanism, etc., will be different for each game. Gamblers usually play to get into this bonus level. In some games, you can use "buy feature" to immediately trigger the bonus level.

RTP and Volatility

* RTP: it is like a fee for slots operator in the long run, let's say for $1 bet, the operator will earn $0.05 and $0.95 will be put in the pot. Rule of thumb: search for slots that have more than 95% RTP.
* Volatility: it is like a risk for slots game. In low volatility slots, action will occur more often, but it pays lower than high volatility slots.

Strategy

Well, there is no "strategy" per se for this one click spin and pure luck-based game. However, you can use several playing styles for various scenarios you may encounter in this game.
(1) You can play using a fun balance (not real money) to get familiar with the game you choose;
(2) Start with low volatility slots if you are new to the game;
(3) If you play in a progressive slot, you can play until you hit the bonus level. Or use the "buy feature" since it will become cheaper.
(4) You can use the martingale strategy to buy features, but keep in mind this is like high-roller stuff. You can lose all of your money if you are unlucky.
(5) You don't have to stay in the same game and waste all of your money there. Remember, the probability of winning the next spin will remain the same. However, you will lose your progression doing so, thus always save your last money to buy the feature before you quit.
(6) If you manage to salvage some of your initial balance, don't play until it becomes zero. Call it a night, and use it next weekend.

Recommended Game

This list is pure my judgment based on the gaming experience (sadly, I didn't get paid for this lol), so you may not like it. But please don't cry since you can give me suggestions here, and I will try it, then, if I agree, I will put it on this list. (Note: information from slotcatalog.com & myslotsworld.com)

3987  Economy / Economics / Re: An Economist Predicts The Downfall Of The Eurozone on: May 18, 2020, 07:34:54 AM
Strong EU federation is the only hope Europe have. Every single country is nothing alone compared to strong India, USA and China. Together can compete. EU need to develop space and military program together. All hi tech technology. No use that every country research its own battle tank or fighter jet. No use if every European country send a spaceship to mars. Together we can!
I disagree with this view, competitions make countries specialized and become efficient. What you need is a free-market where goods and services can be traded with minimum restrictions. No need to create a government on top of legitimately elected governments, telling them to do stuff, etc.

Indeed (IMO) the European Union is a failed project and we should learn about this as a centralization vs decentralization case study.

^You mean "mines" game? It's different than minesweeper though since (usually) no information about the adjacent cells, like number "1" and "2". In the casino "mines" game often is just pure guessing.

US is so poor that president trump constantly attack China. Because China is so rich...
What is the metric to say China is richer than the US? GDP? GDP/capita?

Of course, unless the China finally turn into tyrannical government
...
they seem to be slowly turning into tyrannical
What what?
When did China or CCP become less tyrannical? People there were crushed from the beginning. If you notice why Chinese people are everywhere, it because they are oppressed for thousands of years and nothing changes.
3991  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin the future of the global economy or just another commodity like Gold? on: May 16, 2020, 01:36:42 PM
It is hard to say whether debt is less risky
Well, it is a mainstream consensus, see topics about the cost of debt vs cost of equity.

When the borrower defaults, his debt usually gets written off as that seems to be the whole idea behind a default. Indeed, you can come after the borrower's property or whatever, but typically a default means exactly the opposite, i.e. you can't do anything anymore in legal terms (read, you have to bite the bullet and kiss goodbye to your shekels).
I don't know about your local law, mate. AFAIK, the lender still can seize the collateral in the event of default.
Even if there is no collateral, a bankrupt company usually still has some fixed assets that can be sold; therefore, debt holders are entitled to it.
3992  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin the future of the global economy or just another commodity like Gold? on: May 15, 2020, 02:17:39 PM
FYI for those of you who hate interest rate, I'll give some background why it exists.
There are basically two options if you want to raise money:
*1 Debt
*2 Equity

These two are different in nature, with debt you lend the money with the hope of getting the same value of money (at the due date). With equity, you invest the money and buy the portion of the share, basically a profit-sharing scheme. Hence, debt is less risky because if the borrower defaults, the lender can still demand his money back. However, equity is more rewarding if you invest in a unicorn.

Imagine you have idle $10,000 and an entrepreneur wants to use your idle money. He can choose to use debt or equity mechanisms. He free to chose the one he like.
* He may prefer $10,000 debt than to give his equity to you since he is a hard-working and born winner person.
* Or he may prefer $10,000 equity since he thinks "shit if this startup fails I don't have to give him anything."

You also free to choose which options you like. Then the negotiation begins.
Anyway, even with debt, there are various risks you can't get your money back, therefore you need incentive to lend your money. Yes, it is the interest rate.
Without the incentive, no way you want to lend your money (except you are a Dalai Lama).

So what it has to do with Bitcoin?
Well, even with Bitcoin, these two scenarios will still exist.

Now, gotta go and make a Twitch account and make a video.
They inspired me.
Do it and share your WIN reaction here Grin

At what gambling site are they playing?
AFAIK --please note that I only watch them randomly, like one or two times a week-- sometimes I see them play on non-crypto casinos, but some also play on crypto casinos like Bitcoincasino and Roobet. Perhaps depending on which casino sponsors them at that time.

It doesn't matter where you play anyway, as long as you can find the same game (and same slot provider), all will behave the same.
3994  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING: Skill-based vs. Chance-based on: May 15, 2020, 01:23:12 PM
1. Skill-based -
2. Chance-based -
The problem with these two strict categories is that no skills games are pure skill. It also contains luck in it. How many % skill and % chance should we put the game into a skill or chance-based game?

This situation also makes a game like a poker illegal in some parts of the country but legal for the rest.
3995  Economy / Economics / Re: Socialism vs Capitalism Meme Review on: May 14, 2020, 09:22:39 PM
People who ask for socialism feel that they are treated unfair from the governments so they ask for getting more money. In some capitalism countries, governments transfer money from the poor levels to the richer levels through taxation.
This is why there are still people who search for socialism, they want to tackle this unfair situation.
Well, if you don't like the government, why give them more power? If socialism, according to the Oxford dictionary: "advocates that the means of production, distribution, and exchange should be owned or regulated by the community," then government --which is the representation of the community-- will own and regulates everything.

As we know that the central planner is not efficient and cannot predict what and how much people want or need, then obviously everyone will be more miserable. Hence, if the problem is the corrupt government, you reform them, but don't change the economic system. Imagine what corrupt government can do in a socialist system.

And yes, according to the same dictionary, socialism is the "transitional social state between the overthrow of capitalism and the realization of Communism."

3996  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans hoarding cash doing more harm to their economy? on: May 14, 2020, 10:33:53 AM
People are free to choose what they will do with their hard-earned money. I think whoever says about using savings to "help" the economy is wrong. People will consume and continue to consume as long as they are alive.

Now is the time for a recession, and people should accept it and move on, there will be good times after this recession, as always.
3997  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is halving a big damage to mining pools? on: May 14, 2020, 10:21:16 AM
Mining pools (per se) are just computer server that distribute the work to the miners. I think the miners will get the blow by reward reduction, not pools.
From this $10K BTC price currently, the situation is like $10K/2 = $5K pre halving. So if miners can't survive $5K pre halving, they will turn off their farms.

Anyways, this is my first time to encounter twitch players who are gambler. Do you know the game they are playing? I see that they are not using crypto  Huh

according to slotcatalog.com:
- DOA2 96.82%
- Money Train 96.2%
- Knight's life 95.84%
- Who Wants To Be a Millionaire 96.24%
- Reactoonz RTP 94.51%

You can play in various crypto casinos, just search which casino provide the game. AFAIK, lots of crypto casinos also support (maybe not all of) those games, e.g., bitcoincasino, roobet, fortunejack, etc.

Hmm.. @Betwrong like cute girl streamers, nasty Grin

Reactoonz, Millionaire, and other mainstream games  Shocked

I saw Roobet's adds on twitch and watched streamers played there, pretty shocked since when I join this campaign last year. The site is still so boring.
I'm tempted to play again this weekend, damn!
