3981  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why not use Exchange instead of Mixer? on: October 03, 2019, 09:44:46 PM
So, Mixers provide service of shuffling bitcoins or provide addresses loaded with bitcoins along with private keys. In short, they provide service so to create anonymity between sender's and receiver's address so that no one can trace the transaction.
My question is why not use Exchanges? When we deposit funds on exchange, bitcoins get deposited on exchange's cold wallet. But when we withdraw funds, withdraw gets processed from exchange's hot wallet. So in short, it is very easy to do anonymous transfer by depositing funds on exchange and withdrawing to other addresses. Why to pay 1-3% fees on Mixers when it could be done for much less on Exchanges. Exchanges like Binance charge just 0.0005 BTC to process withdrawals.
You can't use an exchange as a mixer because of the limits set by the exchange. If you will want to increase your limit or remove your limit you will have to verify yourself. This means that you will have to provide identification documents to the exchange. So you can eventually be tracked anyways. As far as I know, in a mixer you don't have to provide kyc stuffs and you also don't have any limits.
3982  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How Sure Are You That You Invested In A Right New Coin? on: October 02, 2019, 06:42:50 PM
There are a few ways to understand that.

First of all, the project needs to be a working product. That product can provide a wallet, casino, privacy, stock market service. If the product actually has a functioning mechanism, it means that the product can be invested. Just creating a cool whitepaper and creating a visually good website doesn't mean that altcoin will be successful.
Product? You mean  the coin right? Casino and stock market service? Lol lets not talk about the stock market service cause I have no clue what you are talking about over here. About the casino, why would a coin require a casino? I mean since when did casino become a requirement for a coin to be successful?
If the coin is popular enough, the current casinos will add them to their supported coin list if there is enough demand for playing with the coin.
Just having a functioning mechanism won't make the coin a successful one. Look at those clone shit coins.
3983  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is not a ponzi scheme, Remember???????? on: October 02, 2019, 06:39:26 PM
Not quite sure what you are saying over here. How are you comparing the investment and ponzi scheme (like calling it not a ponzi scheme which actually isn't). Even in ponzi scheme you don't get rich over night. There is a chance you will lose all your money to that scheme if you join in alte.
To be honest, people are expecting to become rich over night because this is what they have heard back in 2016/2017. They started to invest in ICO because they saw people making mad profit by investing in those tokens. What they don't realize is that the number of people investing back then was small compared to the number of people that are joining the project. More people are joining those bounty programs and receiving tokens without investment and dumping it as soon as it gets listed on an exchange thus causing the price to drop.
3984  Economy / Speculation / Re: Down below $9k! Buy the dip now? on: October 02, 2019, 06:34:11 PM
I would say it is actually the best time to buy bitcoin now. It went lower than $7,800 USD and look how it is now above $8,300 USD! So people that bought bitcoin at the lowest dip actually already made some decent profit. The price is still low right now and now is your chance to put more money into bitcoin and make some sweet profit in the long run. Just keep holding it until you reach your desire goal!
3985  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alts you won't invest in on: October 02, 2019, 05:53:02 PM
A lot of discussions on forum are all about "what coin should I buy? Why?"
Here's the opposite - I want to ask what alts you would never buy and why so.
-snip-

People ask what coins to invest in because the number of altcoins is huge and there are shit tons of altcoins that are literally shit coins. So if you ask people what coins not to invest on, there will be a huge list of coins. So isn't it better to ask for coins that one should invest in since the list is actually very short as there are just few well known and good coins out there?
3986  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Invest in bitcoin casino bankroll on: October 02, 2019, 05:28:21 PM
Hi there,

I have heard that there are a few known and trusted bitcoin casinos which offers dividends (like 5-10% per year) if you invest your BTC in their bankroll. E.g. I can invest say 1 BTC and receive 1 BTC + 0.2 BTC of dividends in the end of year because they will use it in their casino bankroll.

Are those casinos really exists and if so then could you give me some links?

I want to deposit my BTC balance and get stable profit every month. Do not offer me scam, but verified and profitable big casinos who have such option.

Thanks.
I don't know about any casino that will be giving a fixed profit like 0.2 BTC per year as a profit. But, I know casinos that allows you to invest into their bank roll and you will get a share of their profit based on your bankroll percentage. Do keep in mind that you will also be sharing their loss too! Try crypto-games.net. They have investment option and one of the most trusted casino out there. If you have any questions regarding investment, use the chatbox available on the sites and the moderators will help you.
3987  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Overall winning - Dice on: September 28, 2019, 02:20:05 PM
For short time yes but nope in long term. I experienced that too, everytime i play for a long time on dice sites, i end up with busted all my balance.
You bust because of the house edge. In the long run you are bound to lose to the house. That is why as soon as you make some profit, just quit for a day or two. Cash out your profit and then start playing from the beginning. Don't go chasing after your loss and try to look for casinos with very low house edge (crypto-games.net has a very low HE and sometimes they run promotional no HE dice event!).
3988  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best time to keep investing? market is crumbling again on: September 28, 2019, 02:15:37 PM
Will you choose to invest in bitcoin now that its at 8k or still continue investing in altcoin since many big altcoins have already lose up to 30% value again, well i decide to invest in bitcoin if further value loss takes place and i keep buying bnb token and ETH too, good idea or bad idea??
I would suggest you to stick with Bitcoin. The safest bet you can place. Even if the price drops, it will eventually go up (might take days, months or even years. You just have to keep holding it). Altcoins are more volatile than bitcoin. You can make some quick lucky profit from it but you will need to take some huge risks. Bitcoin took a dip. So now is the best time to buy more bitcoins! If you still want to invest on altcoins, spread out your investment.
3989  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: selling my old Steam account with GTA V on: September 28, 2019, 01:42:48 PM
Hi,

I'm selling my old Steam account with GTA V for (~$15) in Bitcoin or any altcoin.

https://steamcommunity.com/id/babasidou69/

Contact me if you need any additional information! Smiley

P.S: I'm quite new here but I heard that using an escrow is essential to avoid getting scammed.
Hey merwane!
Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately you posted on the wrong board. Your post belongs to the Invites & Accounts child board. Now that you mentioned you are new, be extra careful when dealing with users (especially the newbies) since they will try to scam you.
Escrows will help you complete a deal (for free or will cost you some small percentage of fee) by working as a trusted third party. Here is a list of trusted escrow (last updated June 10).
Good luck with your selling!
3990  Economy / Gambling / Re: This might be a different approach to gambling on: September 28, 2019, 01:19:42 PM
Zero house edge? This means both the house and the players have equal chance of winning. So, how is this going to work? How is the casino going to make a profit? Since you have zero house edge, this means in the long run there is a chance that your bankroll won't exist anymore since users might win it all.
Anyways, if you are trying to advertise for your casino, then make a proper announcement thread with all important and required information. This you way you will get better response than now.

It's PvP so we don't have to worry about pay outs, you could see us as a platfrom where gamblers can play against each other without interferance of a third-party. We are not really looking for quick growth so i think if we do that we will to too busy with PR stuff instead or programming.

So if its PvP, how would you guys profit? You guys are going to be taking a small fee from both sides of the users just like poker rake? What's the total percentage of the commission? Again, if this is PvP then I don't get it why would you guys be advertising by saying that you guys have "zero house edge"? Of course the house is not going to be involved here unless the player is playing against the house (which again will cause problems to the bankroll in the long run).

gamblers can play against each otherwithout interferance of a third-party
Care to explain more? You guys are the third party over here holding the users balance and stuffs.
3991  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading crypto independently considered a business? on: September 27, 2019, 06:47:08 PM
Is trading crypto on your own with no employees and no storefront categorized as a real business?

If you profit $300 per year from this stuff, is that considered a business?

How about profiting $3,000 per year?

Or profiting $30,000 per year?

Where does trading online take on all of the aspects of being a legitimate and identifiable business?
No that wouldn't be considered as a business. Just making profit doing something does not mean it is business. If you go by this definition of making profit, then gambling would also be considered as a form of business. But do we consider gambling as a business? Nope. Again, a business should have an organization that is engaged in commercial activity, but there aren't any when you are trading to make profit.
3992  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is this still possible today? on: September 27, 2019, 06:19:47 PM
I just find out that some coins might start with very low volume and marketcap and end up growing big? true or false? i tracked back some old coins that start with trading volume around 6k and end up in millions, is this still possible today?
I see no reason for something like this not to happen. In fact it is a common scenario in a crypto market. But only coins that tend to be unique with active community and developers shows this kind of sign. But be careful when investing on those new alt coins. There are some shit altcoins who volumes are manipulated by the team. You will see the price rising and then all of a sudden gets dumped after which the coin eventually dies.
3993  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why hasn't any altcoin replaced bitcoin? on: September 27, 2019, 04:38:50 PM
The first thing is that bitcoin replaces the fiat currency. I do not think any current altcoin can replace bitcoin. Consider the market cap of bitcoins and the altcoins. Bitcoin dominance is 68% and all the alt-coins make only 32 percent of the dominance.
And yeah? How does your post answers what the original poster actually asked. Please read before replying. The market cap of bitcoin has nothing to do with Bitcoin being the top coin. The same goes for the "68%" dominance thing you are talking about. Just because it has 68% dominance does not mean that no other altcoin in the future can't replace bitcoin.
People have heard more about bitcoin than altcoin when anyone talks about crypto currencies. Bitcoin has been the first and the oldest crypto currency out there. Thus, people trust bitcoin more than any other coins and they are kinda reluctant to give chances to the new altcoins.

3995  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 8 Ball Pool game against live players worldwide - is gambling available? on: September 27, 2019, 03:23:57 PM
Ahh Miniclip! So many childhood memories on one website! I remember playing heli attack (not sure if that's the name of the game) and other small multiplayer games over here with my friends!
You will probably have to involve a third party in order to achieve this. I don't think miniclip will be involved into gambling and using them to gamble might create some real legal problems. Probably build a platform by yourself?
3996  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Trading dubious trick on: September 27, 2019, 03:12:56 PM
After reading about how good it is to try trading while market is nit really in good shape so i ended up giving it a try, i was given  a demo account at first and after several losses and winnings i was about to nearly double the demo account fee, so i did end up depositing some bitcoin and i end up losing the bitcoin, i am here today to reveal how i caught a trading platform that is fooling people with fake trading.

No matter what i tried i keep losing, i said to myself why losing and only winning once in a while even know that i just nearly double the demo acc? then i went to a friends house we decide to try this trick out, he download the app as well and we deposited bitcoin on his own acc, At the same time i put 5$ on btc will come down and he put 5$ on btc will go up and guess what?  Grin We Both LOSE Cheesy Grin Grin the name of the platform is IQOPTION. be careful people
Why do you have to use all those "applications" for trading? Just join a well known reputed exchange and trade your coins over there. That "demo" account you are talking about is probably rigged or something (didn't se IQ OPTIONS before, so I don't know anything about them). You sound like you fell for the classic gain trust and then scam scheme. Bad luck. Next time just be careful when using such platforms.
3997  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Believe That It's A Fix on: September 27, 2019, 02:18:56 PM
Ok this actually happens to my friend not so long ago, he is going on a boxing match and he will bet for the heavy favorite, then suddenly an unknown guy whisper to him, that the fight is going to be fixed and he supposedly heard it from the favorite to win, locker room, are you going to listen to that and bet for the underdog.

What's your take?
Hard to understand what you are trying to say. I am assuming you are saying that you placed a bet on a team but then a random person comes in with information that the match has been fixed and knows who the winning team is and tips you with who the team that is going to win will be. Well, first of all, why would I listen to a random dude tell me who is going to win. Secondly, why would that person randomly tell me who is going to win? I mean what is in for him? How is going to get any profit/benefit from telling me this secret? Everything would sound fishy to me so I wouldn't pay attention to him.
3998  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The future of cryptocurrencies depend on the understanding of the community on: September 26, 2019, 08:33:58 PM
Is a centralized or decentralized network better? How to develop the authentication feature and ensure it works well? What innovations need to take place?

At its peak in late 2017, one Bitcoin was worth nearly $ 20,000. A year earlier, it only cost $ 1,000. Bitcoin was priced at $ 6,000 in June and $ 8,000 in July and dropped to $ 6,000 in August. Bitcoin price is extremely volatile, so does Ethereum. According to the Dacxi crypto social network, unlike the pioneering wave, the next global growth wave could be fueled by two new areas of investment: institutions and retail investors.

So whether or not cryptocurrencies grow will depend greatly on the understanding of the future community. And what do you think about this?

Giving power to one single authority based on blind trust vs no single authority, that is everyone taking decision equally. Which one do you think is better? Of course it is going to be the second one. Decentralized network is way better than a centralized network.
By crypto currencies "growth" (you made a typo maybe?), if you mean that the growth and development of the coins and the price, then yeah it does depends on the understanding of the community. The more understanding the community is, the easier it will be to adopt the currency.
3999  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When thinking forward always think backward on: September 26, 2019, 08:05:06 PM
Holding is the only way for altcoin investors now unless you want to accept your losses and exit but its better to have patience, i have seen coins that worth 1,500$ a year ago and they are now 200$ , i have sold airdrop tokens that should worth 150$ for 10$ to sustain but i am not stupid enough to get rid of all my tokens and coins because market is not in my favour, be wise and remember that those tokens you are getting dispose off can turn something when market start turning for the better, be determined to win, when thinking forward always think backward as well.
It is sometimes better to sell your altcoins instead of holding it forever and beg for the price to increase. If you let it go, you open opportunities to invest on other well known coins which includes bitcoin, ETH, LTC etc. You might recover your loss if you sell your coins and invest on other coins.
Just holding it and making no profit at all is just a waste of time. And your suggestions are kinda absurd. Your tokens "may" turn into something but high chance it is going to stay low.
4000  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the dangers inside cryptocurrency investing on: September 26, 2019, 07:34:18 PM
-snip-
First off, that is really an extremely horrible idea. Cryptocurrency volatility can kill your pocket and rapidly reduce all your hard-earned investments.
-snip-
Horrible idea? Has this article been written by someone who didn't invest on bitcoin when the price was very low or is it someone who invested on the wrong time, sold their coins, made a loss and is now regretting after watching the price go back? All kinds of investment has a risk. Investing on crypto currency is also risky. They are volatile but in the long run the price always tends to go upwards. Experienced traders can take advantage of this volatility and make some sweet profits within a very short time.
