41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Mirrax's HIGH RISK altcoin investment guide for 2017 on: December 21, 2017, 08:07:43 PM
Mirrax is not talking about Nexus and looks like every one that was once discussing about it and very excited already got out and found a new one. Do you guys still hold it or sold it already?
I LOVE NxS. But i recognize it’s a very long term project. So that’s why I think people aren’t talking about it very often. They buy and hodl. But it’s such an awesome project. Worth it just to see what they can do!

There's a lot of development going on at the moment, one thing I like about this coin is that they are not everyday in your face about how awesome they are.
It's already a Pos coin, on the short term there's a new wallet coming out and their long term goals are fantastic, still a good time to get in under $5.

How much coins is needed for a masternode?
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: December 11, 2017, 12:43:53 PM
I'm planning on adding an extra Gigabyte 1080 ti card in my system. This will give me 2 Gigabyte 1080 ti cards, with one free slot between them.

Anyone having experience in running 2 1080 ti cards with only one slot space between them in a closed case? I'm a bit worried about the higher temps and the increased fan speed/noise this will give.

I have a Be Quiet Silent Base 600 case. There will also be one slot of free space between the bottom card and the PSU. I could fit an aurus card in the bottom slot, but the card would be very close to the PSU..

There's a lot of difference in cases, a lot will depend on your case. I used to have 4 980ti's (reference) without any gap but I strapped a huge fan straight to the GPU's + a huge intake fan. I was able to keep them cool even at 110% power with the case closed.

What are the masternode requirements? Can anyone have one when you have enough coins?
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: STRAT IS A SLEEPING GIANT ! on: December 08, 2017, 03:15:52 PM
Definately. I bought at the peak... yeah I know, but I really am trusting STRAT to rise high.

Dash will go 10x in the alt season to come.

Gotta love how SBD pumps conveniently when Poloniex disables deposits.

How long ago were deposits/withdrawals disabled? Any reason?

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: LBRY.IO - DICUSSION THREAD on: November 25, 2017, 08:31:42 AM
Many of altcoins are now beginning to grow, but not LBRY, unfortunately. What about their platform?

everyone already use to integrate ipfs, lbry not complete or close to be,for me it have fail already

took so long correcting bug while concurrence already miles ahead....

What competing team has a product at even the same level?
Don't underestimate what LBRY has already accomplished, this project is going to get a lot bigger, and it's already brilliant.
50  Bitcoin / Mining speculation / Re: Want a miner to heat my house.. on: November 23, 2017, 09:30:46 AM
How much space do you have for a setup? If you want low noise, then an antminer and the likes will probably not be for you. You could consider a GPU setup, you could make such setup much more silent but it would be a lot bulckier.

A standard electric space heater will be 1000-2000 watt, is a standard space heater enough to heat your space? Perhaps you can borrow one from someone to see if it is adequate? You could even try with a hair dryer, check how much watt it is, open it full throttle and see if it is enough to heat your space so you know how much watt you should be thinking of.

What kind of offers are you looking for? Where are you located? In case you live in EU, feel free to throw me a PM.
51  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint 16TH/S halongmining.com on: November 22, 2017, 02:15:15 PM
I'm calling scam on this one, no info anywhere else whatsoever, you don't just make a chip like this out of nothing.
52  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bithumb open for EU citizens? How to verify with non-Korean phone no? on: November 22, 2017, 12:57:32 PM
I called them for this issue, they say they accept non-Korean members but there is a problem with the SMS system.
I asked further but the person said I couldn't make an account now and wait for the problem to be fixed, BS if you ask me.
53  Local / 한국어 (Korean) / Re: Looking for help creating an account on Bithumb on: November 21, 2017, 01:05:25 PM
I just called to Bithumb, even though they allow foreign accounts, there is a problem with the sign up sms verification (but this has been going on for months now though)...
I don't really want to borrow anyone's number, just use it to sign up after which the person gives me the code they receive.
54  Local / 한국어 (Korean) / Looking for help creating an account on Bithumb on: November 21, 2017, 10:11:42 AM
Hi

I'm looking for someone from South Korea to make an account on Bithumb. They require South Korean phone number for verification.
Anyone here who can help me out? I can offer some BTC.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SpreadCoin | Decentralize Everything (decentralized blockexplorer coming) on: October 27, 2017, 10:09:17 PM
It seems to me that this is the longest branch on bitcointalk))) and I have not heard about the project at all. The project is small but a lot of discussions. It's probably a worthwhile product.

and this project need more marketing and extra development to keep alive,
i see the price is dump so hard after 10 oct from 60K satoshi and now about 6K satoshi
Now is 5.7k.
Just bought some SPR. Hope it fly soon  Roll Eyes

Fly where? Is there any development being done on SPR? Any word from the dev lately?
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: October 27, 2017, 09:35:08 PM
=The team is "building up the difficulty" by premining the shit out of it  Roll Eyes

Where exactly do you think all the HLM is going to come from that all SPR holders are due?  One can't just make it out of thin air.  Someone has to mine it, and then the accounts have to be funded.

Think of Topia.  They say all these users have HLM in their wallet.  Topia has to have HLM to back it up in their master wallet.

Right?

M

Apologies for not reading better about helium then.
However:
Since Dash's circulating supply is 7,647M, and spreadcoins supply is 8,991M, how are you going to accumulate 1,344 extra helium to compensate?
What happens to the unclaimed spreadcoin?
Is there going to be insight in how much premine is going to be kept?
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][HLM] HELIUM - PRE NOTICE on: October 27, 2017, 08:32:08 PM
I cannot wait to get my babies mining some Helium Wink

Are you going to mine with D3s? If yes, isn't it more profitable to mine Dash, sell it and buy HLM?

Hi Buddy,

Not sure I'm currently using my D3's on prohashing > paying out in Vertcoin and doing much better than just Dash atm.

What makes you think i would be better on Dash than just straight up mining mate?

If the difficulty starts low wouldn't mining be better?

I don't really know, but would like to know the answer.... All I know is as we speak, before the public launch, the Helium team is building up the difficulty to make sure it is high enough for the start.... Si I have no idea.

Why does difficulty need to be adjusted up for launch if Helium has implemented DGW as planned? Doesn't make sense to me.

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: $2300 for ethereum mining. on: October 19, 2017, 02:03:43 PM
It's all down to numbers, just like any other business. Find a way to calculate what is most profitable, doing your own calculations and understanding them is of the utmost importance if you want to mine.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Dual molex to dual PCIe 8 pins safe? on: October 19, 2017, 02:02:06 PM
I would never trust to take any serious power from molex, I've seen plenty of those connectors fail (burn).
60  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should i invest in bitcoin on: October 19, 2017, 01:59:19 PM
I'm pretty convinced btc will go up much more before it would come down, so yes.
