Anyone tried if OhGodAnETHlargementPill is doing something for the X16R algo?

See for more info: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3370685.0

1.  It only works on 1080/1080ti to change the memory timings
2.  Memory timings aren't a big thing on RVN like ETH.

Has anyone else had an issue where rvncoin sent from ravencore client address to a another address and everything shows in the transactions on the sent account but not the received.  I always wait for everything to sync before doing anything and thought maybe it would take sometime.  I sent another transaction with the same addresses and it came over right away.

Any ideas?

I'd look up the transaction on the RVN block explorer and see what it shows...

Is it possible to disable 1 gpu so i can play games?

depending on what miner you use, usually there is an option like:

-d 0,1,2     <--this means use GPU 0, 1, and 2.

Just look for the config options for your miner and it will specify.

you'll have to add one of these lines depending on what type of onboard video display you have...add it to your miner line:

--gpu-platform 0

or

--gpu-platform 1

or

--gpu-platform 2

one of those should make it work.  Just add it in your miner config line (same line that has your wallet address).

One of them should work.

So go back to Page 1 of this ANN:
    Ravencoin Project Donations:
Help contribute to the community's goals by donating Raven to the specific fund that you would like to
          see accomplished.
The funds contributed to these addresses will only be used in accordance with their title/description

              1) General Fund - RYXTg27X81RT9WM8QUYv4wGZzhyscP8ddg

              2) Development Fund - RBjAZ4fgoXfMC1ujzs7XKreMxJAL1r9fhT

              3) Marketing Fund - RRpoNfwgVo7nEZsiao9caWjvY9BDVGDs5L

              4) Exchange listing fund - RUHAU58CmceTgB2gbGKSXgHXUaiet22tU9

              5) Hardware Wallet Support Fund - RFYpqPQqZKKbFCSXMzownDqHEs6ZWHpQaq
I (shiggidy) believe this to be a major step forward for helping to secure our precious RVN
(Aiming for Ledger support, but would be open to Trezor as well if they allow new coins; as of
                   this moment they do not)
Additionally, the hardware wallet support attracts new people to the community.

Let me know how much you give and I'll match it! (No joke).

would be nice to see some progress meter/stats/info about each fund (I'm aware I can check those in the explorer, but we need visibility AND some movement) - I'm sure people would be much more helpful/ready to donate to the eg. exchange fund if they would know exactly how much need to be raised and for which exchange etc. Something like community organised action to get RVN listed on a X exchange etc. (I'm also aware Bruce Fenton said theres no one official in the RVN to speak to etc.)

You can use the RVN block explorer to check the Exchange listing fund, I recall checking a few months back and there was barely anything in it.  Also I've heard the major exchanges want major dollars to list, believe someone said 100k+.  If that's true, then divide 100k by current RVN price and we're talking a huge amount of RVN.  But this coin price shouldn't go anywhere until after the utility fork--currently it can't do anything as of yet.

well it looks like all the coins are locked up in masternodes, daily volume I hope is incorrect.

saw that my wallet was old this morning after I had to restart it, guess it had shut down which it's never done.

The new wallet was running all day and no updates so I removed the blocks, chainstate, everything except the wallet and biblepay.conf.

Still no block source to sync to.  I can ping node.biblepay.org so I'm lost at this point.

I've tried removing, reinstalling, trying the 32 bit version, nothing seems to work.  Rosetta @ home works fine but the wallet is a mystery.

Guess I'll try my other computer and see if I have any luck.  I like BBP but a guy has to be a IT tech to keep all of this running and setting it all up.

So I went to my other machine which initially had no Block Source available and within a minute or two it started sync'ng with the network.  So I copied over the peers.dat file from that machine to the one that wouldn't sync and within a minute the broken wallet started syncing.

Downloading the entire blockchain since I had previously deleted it.  Guess I'll be making backups of the peers.dat file for the future.

ETA:  if anyone needs a peers.dat file private msg me with your email and I'll send it.  I'm U.S. based so not sure how well it will do overseas but it could get you started on getting better peers I guess?

I have just upgraded the wallet from version 1119 to version 1123. After install and run I have status No block source available. The same situation repeated after Reindex. I alsa tried clean the folders  then reindex, the same result.

Could you write me any advice?

Thanks.
Verify system time and timezone are correct, and you havent banned all your peers.

Checked everything. Doesnt help.

I have the same issue.. uninstalled and now reinstalling, dropped my wallet.dat in and the biblepay.conf
not sure what broke, but is this a valid .conf file:

addnode=node.biblepay.org
gen=1
genproclimit=1
minersleep=0
pool=https://pool.purepool.org
workerid=Bkljjklahsdflkjahsflkjhwieuiowuerc      <-- I changed this workerid since I posted it here, but is the rest of this correct?

BTW,
Running Enemy 1.08 for a couple of days now. I've got 27 GPUs/miners but I had to take one out yesterday. This makes comparing average hash rates harder, but.... My average 24 hour hash rate is up 5% (even without the dead miner). I think (which doesn't happen much) that the worker was about 4% of my hash rate. So my bad math says Enemy 1.08 is 9% faster than 1.05a for the past 24 hours. (I know my logic is flawed, but 1.08 is faster - at least 5%, maybe a little more).

yeap I'm seeing the same thing.  Smiley

Since a while now the price is not moving a lot. Still around 500-600 Satoshi mark. Hopefully it will change soon and it will go up.

you do know the utility fork isn't for @ 6 months...  why would the price go up?  It's like having a car that doesn't work...

Hi guys, what is your setting for MSI Afterburner for NVIDIA 1070 ti (6 cards in RIG)

I just switched from enemy 1.03 to enemy 1.05.
My setting for enemy 1.03 was
Pwr: 70 %
Core: +200
Mem: +500

With this setting it was very unstable. I have experienced like 5 crashed during the day.

Now I was moved to enemy 1.05 and followed the HELP (which basically say lets keep CORE and MEM on zero)
Current hasrate shows something around 55MH/s (with the poor setting for 1.03 I was running somwthing between 65 - 70MHs)

I will appreciate any recomendation.

Thanks in advance

On my Asus Strix 1070ti rig, I'm using Suprminer 1.6 with the following MSI Afterburner settings:
Power Limit: 85
Core: +200
Mem: +600

You need to get it stable first then add OC if you can.  If your power supplies are not able to handle the power changes in the algos it will be very hard to stabilize.

amazon EC2 F1 FPGA board run this algo over 1GH/s.
to be the millionaire, drop your GPU,and rent the cloud FPGA.
All X'series algo are not AISC resistant ,nor FPGA resistant .

sounds reasonable Mr. Bitmain...  not sure what an AISC is....  but x16R is ASIC resistant  Cool
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 08, 2018, 05:24:47 PM

I'm at 65% TDP, so that shouldn't be an issue. I have to lower intensity to 16 to get some estability, but loosing considerable hashrate
And I've tired Awesome Miner, but i get this error just at start:

HTTP request failed: Empty reply from server
get_work failed, retry after 30 seconds

and I don't know how to solve it

what pool are you using?  in Awesome Miner you will either have to add your miner line to the Advanced section under the pool or to the Advanced under the miner itself.  Not sure how you did your miner line...

ETA:  If you follow the youtube video he configures his miner line in there

I'm using suprminer version and I'm very happy with it.

Still I'm having some crashings... Any advice about overclocking?
I'm using a rig of gtx 1080 and I'm getting lots of illegal memory operations or something like that, even without OC.
Could be about intensity? What do you recommend?

I've heard 19 or 20, some have to go down to 17 for intensity.  I found it easier if you are on Windows is to use Awesome Miner to keep the miner running:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oALnGBsPxc

You didn't mention what TDP you are at, sometimes lowering to 85% works...
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 08, 2018, 01:40:00 PM
So one of my friends used his rig for a 10hr test:
Three way test, 12 GPU 1080Ti rig, split three ways:

Results after 10 hrs:
Enemy 1.03: 103.60189006 RVN
Suprminer 1.6: 105.13672747 RVN
Enemy 1.05: 103.88728188 RVN

Statistically they are all the same when you factor in error, and I've heard of a few ppl with pool switching issues with the Enemy miner which will impact the amount of RVN you get.  Not FUD'ng but if Enemy isn't doing so well check out Suprminer 1.6 as you won't have pool switching issues as there is no dev fee.

I'm quite new to this, but love the concept in general. What do I need to know about X16R you are using? What does it call for?

You'll need a mining rig and a miner.  x16R is a new algo that has 16 different algos inside of it--it randomizes the algos to make it asic resistant.
