41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins to invest in for a beginner on: February 18, 2019, 12:32:57 AM
For starters if you want to invest without doing much research (This is not recommended by the way) then you should stick with the top 25 - 30 coins from coinmarketcap. Most of them already have a proven track record and are at fractions of their values from early last year, so any return to a bull market should secure you some decent gains.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The cheapest Altcoin. on: February 18, 2019, 12:25:24 AM
I don't think that buying the cheapest altcoin is necessarily the best strategy or the correct criteria to make a profit going forward. Some of the lowest price coins may simply never recover any realistic value and also prove difficult to trade out of at a later date.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 2019, A Challenging Year for Ethereum on: February 18, 2019, 12:22:41 AM
I think that the biggest challenge facing Ethereum this year will be the switch to a Proof of stake model rather than a proof of work model for providing network consensus. The fees are quite reasonable for transactions at the moment so DAPP users do not have many complaints in that department.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The biggest shitcoin of 2019? on: February 16, 2019, 11:39:56 PM
"Private investment banks in currency manipulation for profit shocker" Sadly it isn't news it is 24/7 business practices for them, they do it until they get caught and then pay a minimal fine compared to the profits they have made.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: New Exchanges vs Old Exchanges on: February 16, 2019, 11:34:29 PM
I really like Binance to be honest, and the BNB token is well worth owning even for the simple fact that it cuts your fees in half on each trade. It has also increased in value by almost 50% in the past month and a bit and I don't se many other coins achieving that.

I am also looking at DX Exchange they are totally new and still getting out of soft launch but are planning to offer tokenised shares on the platform of some of the big US companies and are also associated to NASDAQ.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Passive income from cryptocurrencies in 2019 on: February 14, 2019, 11:10:50 PM
I really like the idea of the Proof of Stake coins including leased proof of stake where anyone can actually benefit from owning their tokens and not just the masternode holders.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum 2.0 a new Coin? on: February 14, 2019, 10:54:01 PM
There will not be a new coin produced from the update to Constantinople. There are only 2 real Ethereum coins which are Ethereum and Ethereum Classic, any other forks have proven to be a scam looking for your private keys.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investors in 2019? on: February 14, 2019, 06:15:10 AM
I think we will see a return in investor confidence during 2019, but for even the casual observer it was clear as day that projects launching during the height of the bear market would struggle to reach soft caps. Nobody would want to invest when the project would launch at a fraction of the ICO buy-in price.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take on the current market dwindling? on: February 14, 2019, 06:08:45 AM
My take the market is still waiting for a clear direction for the next move, we seem to be treading water with Bitcoin around the $3,600 level and the alts doing the same within their own ranges. I am confident we will see a rise in the market late in Quarter 1
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XMR Price May Touch 500 USD In 2019 on: February 13, 2019, 01:33:47 AM
Monero is a promising project, but I think that price target is wholly unrealistic given that it would exceed the previous All Time High in what is still an unbroken 12 month bear market. Bitcoin is still controlling the rest of the crypto market caps at the present time so you would also need to see Bitcoin over $20,000 for proportionally XMR to get close to $500.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the ICO culture dead already? on: February 13, 2019, 01:28:46 AM
The ICO launches are realistically on hold as it does not make sound business sense to be launching them during what has turned out to be a year long bear market. Timing is everything when it comes to raising funds for a project so that is why the ICO's are quiet right now they are waiting for a turn up in the crypto market.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No one is using dapps on: February 13, 2019, 01:19:51 AM
I guess it depends on how useful the DAPP is as to whether it is being used. IDEX is I think the most used DAPP on the Ethereum network and it is getting daily usage.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple vs Bitcoin on: February 12, 2019, 12:20:18 AM
Ripple is offering fast and cheap transactions, but Bitcoin is still the major store of wealth and is likely to remain so for the foreseeable future. Of course any risk averse investor would hold both.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coins to invest in for a beginner on: February 12, 2019, 12:16:30 AM
I would stick with some of the already established coins such as Ethereum, NEO, EOS, XRP and perhaps ADA. There are few question marks over whether these coins will recover a good portion of their previous values and they are less risky than some of the untested recent ICO coins.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cryptocurrencies be able to use for payment? on: February 11, 2019, 12:49:41 AM
It is already a reality there are several crypto debit cards that allow you to spend a variety of crypto anywhere you see the usual Visa or Mastercard symbols. Most of the cards at the moment have some form of regional restrictions for example Wirex can only be used by those living in the EU. SHR (ShareRing) are going to be introducing Sharepay which will allow you to purchase anything on their platform as part of the sharing economy.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Change Of KYC Pattern on: February 10, 2019, 11:47:24 PM
I think the suggestion for taking the KYC before starting the campaign is the right way to go, that way people who do not wish to hand over their personal details are not wasting weeks or months of time working on a campaign. My other suggestion for those forced into doing a KYC is to use a low value form of ID such as a driving licence.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum Price Analysis on: February 10, 2019, 11:43:39 PM
I stopped looking at Ethereum price I am more concern on Bitcoin's sliding down because all coins follow Bitcoin price, the one thing that makes me exciting onEthereum is the coming fork I just knew that people will buy Ethereum at the last minute to get a free airdrop.

You should be really careful of any so called forks with Ethereum that are offering free coins, the previous two instances in early January were nothing more than scam coins asking for Private keys to receive what they were offering. If you are ever in the position to try this make sure that you have transferred all your coins to another address first.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRON vs EOS on: February 09, 2019, 10:37:17 PM
If you are focusing solely on these two coins then my choice would be EOS as the team leaders have proven track record in crypto. EOS has also raised huge sums of money with their year long ICO and are the most likely to have adequate funding to carry the project going forward. I have only heard of Tron second hand through previous investors and from those discussions would not invest.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto's worst nightmare on: February 09, 2019, 10:33:10 PM
2018 was a complete disaster for the bulls with prices dropping by up to 99% in some cases. you either threw the towel in and sold at a huge loss or perhaps took the opportunity to increase holdings in some of the quality coins and wait for a recovery. Prices are likely to rise at some point so if you have the patience to wait things out the rewards will come. Quality projects will continue but 2018 was likely the end of some of the poorly managed projects.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: The next bull run and stability on: February 06, 2019, 11:18:16 PM
To aid mass adoption we need some crypto usage cases where people can get involved without any knowledge or experience in crypto and these will come from some of the recent ICO cross over projects that are using blockchain as the backbone for a real world project and not just a. n. other exchange of value coin.
