GosDuma has made smart contract equal to paper contracts in Russia. That can be good news for Universa. The article translates into English very nicely by Google translator. Check it out https://blockchain.ru/posts/gosduma-rf-oficialno-priravnyala-blokchejn-dogovory-k-bumazhnym

Nice, very nice. Good news for Universa and all blockchain technology in Russia.

Video with AB: https://youtu.be/IQUe7gkHekY?t=3295
Bad autotranslation but still interesting. AB answers some question about Universa in the end. Worth watching.

Interesting. I didn't quite catch what they were talking about in the end. I guess I should wait for a proper translation.

Here it is. English subtitles will help you to understand the topic Alexander was speaking about.

Thank you. AB is good in his explanations. Hope russian government will take in account his words.

Now waiting for translation from Smart City forum. Thank you Universa team.

I'm really beginning to not understand Universa anymore. So much potential and promises during and after the ICO, but all we seem to be getting afterwards is plenty of talk and publishing, but not a sense of utility direction. And now, we've got so many other projects boasting of better TPS and scalability.

More than 20 000 TPS? Really?
Never have heard about any one with such speed.

Listen to yourself. Google 'TIM blockchain'. 100K TPS! Less than $15M from ICO, and already have two other side chains building off of it.
Look, I can now seen through all those phony 'milestones' AB posted for us. He's a complete scam!
What exactly is he selling to the Tunisians, for example? What does he want them to come and adopt or partner with? A nonfunctional chain? What was he doing at all those conferences?Huh

TIM blockchain is probably a scam.
I think you misunderstand what Universa does. They don't sell anything. Please, research the news and you will get a picture of what this partnership is all about. I guess some more details will be revealed soon.

Not probably. Most likely. Look it up on bitcointalk and the ann thread is dead since sep 2018 and no TG discussion group. And they claim 100m tps.  Smiley How can this ever be compared to Universa. There are no projects like Universa right now.

100M huh? Yeah, totally legit project  Grin
More is not better. We have more than we need already. Time to concentrate on something else rather than TPS. AB said that we can have more than 30k. But we don't need that as of now. We will scale as scalability issue will get in our way, I guess. Now we don't have such issues.

We had quite a few updates in February. You may want to check our Medium news. We have even more updates in our Telegram channel and other social media.

These updates you mention are not the best are they. Whats happened to development? whats happening with beta testing which you banged on about for so long? Whats happening about actually changing your website to be less shit?

Whats happening with the universa team? What are they upto? Why not do a blog about them? DO SOMETHING GOOD FOR ONCE

And if you mention Telegram again!!!! STOP USING TELEGRAM FFS

↑ THIS.

Do you really want team to wait time for news where they are and how devs are working? Is it really interesting? The news here are regularly: https://medium.com/universablockchain
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UNIVERSA | Blockchain Protocol for Business on: February 24, 2019, 06:54:09 PM

IDCM is a scam/shit exchange. This is proof that the team is out of touch and clueless when it comes to doing anything in regards to their cryptocurrency.

Why is it a scam exchange? I had no problem with them so far.

Looks like someone doesn't like it in his own reason ))

 Grin It makes some sense

Shills talk a lot, but know nothing. IDCM is a fake/scam/shit exchange, it's obvious if you ever looked at any coins, including Universa. 90% of all volumes are faked, it's very very obvious.

And i recommend any of you to look at any market, any order book, any volume transaction. If you understand the basics of what information is presented to you on exchanges, then you will come to understand IDCM is a scammy exchange.

Btw, this isn't the first time AB paid for fake volume, when Universa got listed to another fake/scam/shit exchange Coinbene, they paid (or got) for fake volume there aswell. That was also very obvious by the significant increase in Vol overnight, then when it expired, Universa went to a natural state of around 10k usd volume. Volume doesn't suddenly drop from half a million, to 10k in 1-2 nights, it's virtually impossible. In addition, that volume lasted from September 1st to November 1st, exactly 2 months on the dot. Amazing. Therefore, that's a 98% drop in total volume over 1-2 nights, after exactly 2 months of listing! Not even scamcoins undergo this extreme transformation... fake volume. IDCM will exhibit similar behaviors, but it's obvious by just looking at the order books.

So what does that mean? AB paid/got fake vol for Universa once before on Coinbene, but this ultimately means nothing really. It does show how miserable the demand was for Universa in Q3-Q4.

It does help Universa's appearance to the novices who know little about crypto (which is about 80% of all people who trade/invest in crypto), but most of the real volumes have dropped off significantly and continue to do so; Cobinhood is a reflection of that. If Universa gets pumped again, then there will be an additional marketing aspect to it by appearing in Gain/losers on CMC, by reaching the 50k minimum threshold (ofc faked).

Thus, Universa is in a worse condition then it was prior to IDCM listing.

This should raise more red-flags though, about the manipulative efforts AB is going through to show progress, to show Universa has "real value." If he's willing to do this on the markets, then what other major efforts has he taken to fill Universa with hot air? Thus, leading into the very critical nature of all my posts.

As i've stated multiple times, Universa team is made up of amateurs, run by Alexander Borodich, who's a good businessman and talker, but, knows little about cryptocurrency as a whole. I don't necessarily blame him, because it takes many years to truly understand cryptocurrency and how to maintain a coin. He has failed time and time again, and bringing in real talent, real people in crypto from his local/russian environment to help him build this increasingly shitcoin.

edit: If you want to understand how exchanges behave, and to give even more weight to my claims, i suggest reading this excellent article by CMC, the bits about exchanges is about 75% down the page: https://blog.coinmarketcap.com/2018/11/27/according-to-coinmarketcap-2018-edition/

The same thing again. Harassing people you don't know, speaking about things you do not understand. Many words and no sense.

Why should people even listen to you if you can change your mind anytime and delete your messages?

48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UNIVERSA | Blockchain Protocol for Business on: February 17, 2019, 08:03:51 PM
That is pretty good exchange in my opinion. And they have good volume too https://coinmarketcap.com/exchanges/idcm/
It is not known whether these trade volumes are real. There are several examples of top 10 exchanges in which volumes are very untrue. In reality, there is almost no trading on these exchanges.
Yes, hopefully this trading volume is real and if you hear about that, the exchange of 10 large volumes is certainly not quite alarming

Today's value was 10k UTNP/BTC.
Everyone understands that adding this exchange is not a big breakthrough. It is good that the number of exchanges is increasing, but the effect is weak.

When you are listed on exchange it is always a good point. No one will list weak project.

From FB:

The Universa Team had a very active January, with our CEO Alexander Borodich having a series of high-level meetings in China, Bahrain, UAE and Saudi Arabia. The second half of the month was focused on Russia, where a small record was set – 5 NDAs signed in a day.

More detail in our blog: https://medium.com/universablockchain/january-2019-china-bahrain-uae-c7ab193ebecd?fbclid=IwAR3YLIFCyCV0sBbDNa2eu6LqCU-NDxX3Cxf3BqCO8tizlFAGrLdq6hdIsIM

Awesome news, team! This update was really overdue, but it was worth the wait.

And people still doubting this project  Grin One of the most undervalued projects with a huge ROI potential. Accumulate, guys Wink

Cool news! I also think they need time. They are going on and it is good. Real development needs time and also we shall keep patient about implementation.

Their strategy may seem a bit unconventional (for the crypto project). They try to stay out of hype and speculation even though they have great potential. But isn't it how legitimate business should act? I think partners would appreciate this attitude.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UNIVERSA | Blockchain Protocol for Business on: February 02, 2019, 06:29:06 PM
What many folks miss is that it isn't another P&D project. That's why most of the negative remarks come from. If you were searching for a quick buck, then sorry, this is not the type of project you need. This one is for a long term. I hope people will set their goals right so they won't have wrong expectations later on.

Forget it, man. Many folks just want money. They don't care about the project. They are pissed off because the price is down. That's the way it is. Just let them whine and sell their tokens if they are so dissatisfied. We'll see who'll regret about decisions made in a few years.

Those people who are looking for a quick dollar have long gone from universa. We just need evidence that universa continues to work with partners with whom it has signed agreements earlier. There is no such evidence, so I conclude that Malaysia, Novotrans, Alfabank and other partners do not work with Universa.

I would like to see the details as well. But the businesses play their own game and prefer to hide the details behind NDA agreements. I guess we just take it or leave it. I decided to stay in the project because I believe in it and believe that work is being done. Otherwise, the team would be long gone. If they are still here then I have no doubt they still work on the project.

Absolutely. Just look at how AB is tirelessly attending conferences to find new potential clients and how devs always update the mainnet. I don't know about the rest and no matter what haters might say but it says a lot to me. It means they haven't abandoned the project and still develop it even though the many projects have terminated their activities. Universa FTW!

I think we will hear about new partnership soon.

You might be right. I saw AB came in the chat and posted some photos with Bahrain. So that must mean some new partnership is coming. Let's wait for the news.

He also mentioned Asseco today. Everything is going to be alright. My guess is that this year we will not be under the radar anymore. Universa will show some great results for sure.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] UNIVERSA | Blockchain Protocol for Business on: January 14, 2019, 07:05:58 PM
I've been busy lately. I see that Universa showed some decent growth for a bear market. Now it's dipped a bit. Should I buy more UTNP? What are your predictions?

Well, if you wanted to buy now is a good chance. I bought today and will buy more in a few weeks if it dips deeper.

Buying today wasn't a good move, it can fall deeper I beleive Smiley I'm waiting with +-10 more ether to buy more !

Maybe you are right. But maybe not. No one can predict. But what you can do is buy with small batches every 2-4 weeks so you can minimize the risks of buying too high or not buying too low Smiley

You are right, mate. One can not make a prediction. Today we, for example, rose by 12% and the whole market rose as well. That's why it's better DCA if you are not experienced enough to predict such volatile market.
56  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How To Invest In Bitcoin on: January 10, 2019, 06:10:20 PM
First of all, Bitcoin is the first cryptographically backed digital currency.  Grin The blockchain is the first invention of its kind and can be compared to the steam engine, electricity, and Internet. Being the first Blockchain backed decentralized form of money, Bitcoin holds tremendous value as a long-term investment. You will need to learn why Bitcoin is considered The Internet of Money, and how you can get your hands on some and secure it as an investment.

There are two tasks you will need to accomplish in order to be a successful bitcoin investor.

1. Find a good bitcoin exchange
2. Find a good bitcoin wallet

Learn more in the full guide.
Hi. Could you give me some suggestion about good bitcoin exchange? I know some but not sure which one is the best to use?

Hi. I don't think there is the best. Any exchange is already a risk because they keep your private key (basically they own your money). Some exchanges that I trust are Binance, Kucoin (those are crypto only exchanges). If you need fiat you can use Coinbase or Kraken or even localbitcoin. Stay away from Poloniex and HitBTC.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Blockchain beat VISA someday? on: January 10, 2019, 06:02:35 PM
very difficult, because without the help of the government the blockchain will find it difficult to find new users. the first thing to do is that the blockchain must be approved by governments around the world. this new technology will be accepted by the public.

This. Unfortunately, regulations can hinder adoption. But we know how it happens: first users, then businesses and governments. It will take time but I believe we will get there.

What kind of music do you like to listen to when you get stressed?
Generally I hear sound tracks from different sources or classical music
What do you usually hear ?  Grin Grin

Nice one. I do that as well  Grin Also like to turn some elevator and lounge music, it is so relaxing and makes the situation look easier and even funny. Also, some electro music, especially techno, can help. It empties your mind from negative thoughts or any thoughts, really.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth buying low-volume tokens? on: January 09, 2019, 07:27:37 PM
Usually, that's not a good idea. Yes, it seems easy to buy low volume coins and wait and sell them high. But in reality, this is not so simple. The value can skyrocket as well as dump hard. If you really believe in the project and researched its fundamentals then go for it, otherwise, you are at risk of losing your money.
60  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie should trade or not? Please give me idea. on: January 09, 2019, 07:01:35 PM
Hello every body.I am a Newbie. I joined Crytopia about four months ago. I hold ont and dog Now I want to practice to trade .Please help me give some idea for Newbie as me, I should trade or not? I really want to receive the instruction of the go-ahead, thank a lots.  Kiss Kiss

Sure. If you don't start you will never learn. Just make sure to start with small amounts. And don't expect to earn a lot at first. Most likely, you will lose money (but that would be a small amount, right?) but that's a precious experience that will help you a lot in the future.
