41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PROOF: Decentralized Certainty for Investments & Anonymous User Accountability on: September 05, 2017, 03:38:00 AM
Quick update on our Smart Contract development:

We have pushed up the preliminary version of our crypto-fiat.  We are currently on the waiting list for a well known auditing group which we will post details about as soon as our arrangements are solidified.  Currently, it is not complete since the token smart contract also needs to integrate with the AMP to allow for quick withdrawls from all 3 marketplaces.  I have been working on our price speculation market contract and will be submitting it for audit as well here soon.

On our platform, we are working on getting final pushes ready for our IDE to add a tremendous amount of functionality (Think a more suer friendly Remix Browser Solidity) which, to be honest, may be delayed since I still need to put it through final code review and make sure it's watertight (sorry Mike!).  We have also pushed up some ease-of-use changes and stability enhancements for our internal exchange.  Small transactions between Ethereum and Bitcoin should be more stable and happen faster.  Likewise, David has submitted a big ticket for some huuuge refactoring on our messaging system to make it more robust and usable.  We will be setting up the user stories and time projections for the branch this evening.

Likewise, for anyone who is getting stymied on the Tawk, we just moved to a new office which, combined with labor day in the US, and some other concerns about our road show, we have been, regrettably neglecting it.  I and David will be personally answering questions on there starting right now until our Customer Service staff are back to 100 percent.  Apologies if this has been an inconvenience to anyone.

Also if you want to fill out a User Feedback form:

Good question!  The presale will end when we hit our cap or on September 15th.  All remaining presale tokens will be added to the public sale and partially distributed to the bounties program.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: PROOF: Decentralized Certainty for Investments & Anonymous User Accountability on: September 01, 2017, 04:51:54 AM
Am I missing something? Where is the structure of the sale?
For instance, how many coins do I get per ETH during Pre-sale?
How much during Crowdsale?
Any bonuses?

Am I blind? Usually it's not hard to find this info.

Ah hello, we have the information posted on our official presale site: https://www.proofsuite.com/presale.

Since the minimum purchase is a bit steep we wanted to understate it a bit and focus on the actual Tokensale on October 8th as well as the underlying value prop and project.  The presale closes on September 15th.  However, if you are at the WBF-London we will be doing a short rebated presale giveaway for attendees at our booth.

Here's something we have been working on with our friends over at Fuze Card!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L30bxMVO0QU&feature=youtu.be

If you have any questions about how this card is related to our TokenSale and the expansion of the platform, just post them here and I will be around to answer.  This applies to all questions, actually.  Even the personal ones.

@fdanconia

Tai Kersten from Proof here.

Hey, I really like your chart and I looked over your whitepaper, cool stuff indeed.  In fact, you highlighted some challenges we had when we were building out the real estate portion of our platform and I think you and your team did an admirable job of addressing these issues.

That said, there are some inaccuracies in the chart I think we have some suggestions for it that may help you out in building a more accurate scope of the landscape.  First, we do indeed have an internal exchange. In fact, it is one of my biggest headaches as a developer-- as you probably already know.  Building a utility exchange has all number of issues, especially when you allow users to control their private keys completely.  Likewise, we already do have a 'viable business plan' (partially based off the exchange) which has evolved from our past 6 months running Proof as a crypto-business (the token-sale is more about building the technologies to take ourselves entirely out of the equation and create a self-regulating fully automated marketplace).

The chart is indeed accurate, however, in the sense that we do not have P2P rentals since one of our core principles is about ownership.  We believe people should own their crypto-asset.  Now, this presents some challenges as far building an internal ecosystem, however, we are adamant about allowing users to move their assets wherever they want even if it's out of spite over our marketplace.

The final bit of inaccuracy in the chart comes from the section about prototypes.  Regrettably, we do not have a prototype.  We finished our POC phase last year and launched our public beta at the beginning of 2017.  Currently, we have around 6000 active users each day building communities, deploying theid own ICO's, keeping our customer service staff busy, and helping us plan for the future.  So, for the sake of accuracy, I think it may be best to uncheck that box.

We understand that finding info on our platform is kind of hard ,and for that, we apologize.  We are a company of developers-turned business professionals and are still working on certain aspects of the blockchain business/marketing space.  However, if you head over to https://beta.proofdashboard.com and just poke at it a bit you can invest in some real estate, or other crypto currencies, or bonds, or commercial paper, or utilize our wide breadth of tools to make your life easier as you launch your public offering next year.

Thank you for the breakdown nonetheless and I hope our insights can help you continue to build a plan for an excellent real estate platform.

Hello Proof,

I looked at your website, played around with your solutions, watched your videos, hung out in your Slack community to see that your team is engaging the group, and now I see your presale is over the $1M raised so far. Here are a few questions that I have for you.

1) If I am considering to invest in your ICO, what is one reason why I should invest and what is a reason I shouldn't invest?

2) With the current state of the [Suspicious link removed]munity and its ability to innovate fast, what section of the [Suspicious link removed]munity does Proof plan to lead in?

Looking forward to your answers.

Hi CryptoNola, I assume Nola is a reference to New Orlands?

Also for 1.  A good reason would be to participate in the development of the AMP and support the creation of a fully autonomous crypto-asset marketplace while also picking up a token which allows you to gain value in Ether based off the growth of that marketplace.  As for the second part, I think the token is going to fulfill many areas of interest for a diverse assortment of token purchasers with different goals.  That said, our low cap of a little over a million tokens and relatively high price may be a little prohibitive if you aren't somewhat experienced in the crypto-space and crypto-trading.

2) Since your links were removed,  I'm entirely sure what you are asking, however, if it's about the overall space.  I would say we would like to be leaders in the decentralized marketplace space but it's pretty crowded but since there is such a large market opportunity, there is definitely room for a diverse assortment of platforms catering to different niches.  We also have some interesting partnerships we are gearing up to announce soon in the development space that are going to help us push our Smart Contracts out as a development standard for certain kinds of functionality.

Thanks for checking us out CryptoNola.  Haven't seen you on the slack yet but if you are there shoot me a word here or there if you have any more questions.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Bounties (Altcoins) / Re: PROOF BOUNTIES (PROOFSUITE) on: August 29, 2017, 04:45:03 AM
Just a reminder.  Please post any bounty requests as PM's to either myself or the proofsuite account.  I will be going over the translation requests tomorrow, however, as it says in the first post, these will not apply until the end of this week as we are giving precedent to longtime community members (1 yr+).  A list of translation bounties as well as the stakes pool will be updated this weekend.  In the meantime I will be prioritizing bitcointalk PM's and posts in this thread followed by public posts in the slack.  Please do not spam members of the Proof team with requests, since, as of right now, the btc-talk translation bounty is not open.

Thank you for your patience!  In the meantime, Twitter, Facebook, Sig, and YouTube reporting protocols will be posted in a few hours.

Hi everyone, we also created a Pocket Sheet for Proof here so if you want to share this with your friends and communities with a simple mobile friendly summary of Proof:

The screenshots look quite impressive. Also Moe Levin on board.

So what is the price of creating an ethereum token on your platform ?
And what is the value of the Proof Token, you mention a dividend percentage at the end whitepaper but you don't mention it here.

Hey Tai CTO from Proof here.  The cost of issuing an Ethereum Token is around 4 USD while if you use our Proof blockchain it is totally free.

Likewise, the percentage token holders receive: 3% of the prediction/insurance market and 0.5% of crypto/fiat transactions.  As the system expands we may find other functionality and opportunities for tokenholders, but for now those first ones are set in stone.

51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum: Good alt or stay away? on: August 24, 2017, 06:12:16 AM
I am a little biased because I am currently developing for some Ethereum DaPP stuff but I really like how the platform has moved along.  A big part of Ethereum is its attempts at becoming a global computing machine with Ether itself being the incentive.  To this end, we are seeing the development of multi-chain tech like Plasma where I think part of the intent is for Eth to become the bonding currency for a bunch of off-chain marketplaces which will drive a phenomenal amount of liquidity towards the system as decentralized marketplaces and private chains begin pegging value store to Eth.  That said, this development is extremely far into the future.  In the interim I believe there are going to be some stormy seas for ETH as the transition through Metropolis into Serenity creates all manner of problems for incumbent solutions.  If you are abreast of the developments in the space you may be able to use these dips and rises for your own purposes. But I suspect the overall moving average is positive.

I know this sounds cartoony, but these conversations tend to devolve into BTC vs ETH which will 'win'.  However, there is space for both since the actual marketshare/liquidity pool they are attempting to expand into is the entire global financial system.  Likewise, I'd argue that one does not engineer the position and utility for the currency/asset, rather, it kind of arises organically.  With this in mind, it seems that the main thing that will hold back (or help) ETH, if anything, is its somewhat centralized core devOps environment (overall, not just Ethereum Foundation.  Also this isn't necessarily a bad thing.) and how they release further control and steer the big hard fork(s) on the horizon.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: August 24, 2017, 06:00:38 AM
I got really addicted to Satoshi Dice and ended up getting cleared out of an embarrassing amount of crypto.  Now, I don't do that anymore.  But seriously, kids.  Gambling is fun but really addictive.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Alt coins worth buying on: August 24, 2017, 05:40:48 AM
I'm in Monero, Dash, and Eth at the moment, along with the usual BTC & BCH.  But Im pretty conservative.

I think it's always good to have a diversified portfolio especially as the space matures and prices track eachother less.  That said, diversifying can kind of erase some of the upside potential of a crypto-portfolio.  As far as strategies and composition, that's hard to say with any real certainty.  Maybe check out how people like TaaS are building their 'crypto-hedgefund' or how traunches on Mellonport are coming together.  Or, if you come up with a good strategy yourself set up your own?

Is it possible to get this available in Korea?  I have been looking for an app like this and been playing around with my own code but having something out there would be cool.  Also +1 on adding the source on Git.

Hey apologies for the long wait but we are finalizing our sigs for the btcTalk sig bounty as well as finalizing aspects of the staking system.  There will be a repost of this post with the full details as well as the official opening of the bounties by Friday.  As for translations, we are actually handling that on a different platform at first for longtime members of the community but will be opening them up soon for the translations that they can't handle.

Will this has some bounties open?
Looking forward for the list of bounties that will be held.
Thanks.

We will be announcing the first round of Social Media bounties very shortly.  We are just finishing up getting our escrow set up and making sure all of the software/contracts supporting it are ready for gameday.  As long as they are sound, the bounties should be ready shortly.

The bounties will be announced in our thread specifically set up for bounties here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2099171

Likewise, we will be posting a summary here but most of the action will be occurring in the other thread.

And for the post above, definitely.

Thank you all for your interest!

Hi evobtc, thanks for checking out our page.  The number accomplishes two things:  It is based off of how much we need to raise based off of Ethereum's price (as with all caps) while being tweaked to be a bit of a message encoded within the numbers.  If you figure it out send me a PM.

Cool i will look into it, is there a reward for this ?

Also i looked into your product, how is this different from the Everex Support Coin ?

For the first: Of Course. Wink

For the second: Proof is like decentralized gold backed dollar, except backed by ethereum instead of gold. Everex uses ethereum to actually transmit dollars around the world and then exchanges it at location/but with mobile app so you dont have to go to location.  The two could actually go together quite well.
