I believe the recent news might negatively affect Binance and BNB Coin. The abrupt drop in BNB could be attributed to some investors reacting with fear to CZ's resignation. Nevertheless, it's possible that only the title has changed, and CZ remains involved with Binance.
With these legal actions there was some initial fear that Binance will be the next FTX. For now it seems that their problems can be solved with a fine and CZ stepping down from his position.
