41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much willl you invest in Electroneum? on: September 24, 2017, 10:28:57 PM
is this one better to wait until the ETH price goes up as much as we can  before investing? Because its in Dollar amount?
Wait longer, why? Because there's just too many coins that have the same concept that they have. Invest in something else so you could make money.

Please let me see where the same projects are, because i have a hard time locating any project offering exactly this.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: September 24, 2017, 07:47:10 PM
It is NOT a scam. Why would a guy who owns a $50 million company put it all at risk to scam people with a cryptocurrency? Not going to happen at all; this is legitimate.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: September 24, 2017, 07:24:06 PM
I do not think electroneum is a scam project, as there were too many similar projects like this, lots of negative issues circulated, but eventually after the project was a success, it proved that the project was not a scam project, I think it's best to analyze the elecroneum first

its probably a scam
You have your opinion on it of course. We will need to see what happens after the coin gets launched. The coin won't last three years, it may do well within this year and maybe the year after that.

The coin will not only last waaaaay past 3 years, but that would be about the time it would need to secure a spot in the top 3.

In 3 years
Bitcoin
Ethereum
Electroneum

It will easily beat Bitcoin Cash, as it is not Bitcoin or Cash lmao

If ripple gets lucky and replaces SWIFT in the Banking industry, then ETN my be at 4.

But gone, I must say you are INSANE!!!

Electroneum will never get that big simply because of the market cap of a huge 21 billion supply. The most it could reach is a 21 billion market cap at $1/etn. That's assuming it gets mass adoption. Let's be a little more realistic...

Remember Marketcap is calculated to amount of coins in circulation. Not total coins that will be mined in the future (15 Million)

So at $1 a coin the Marketcap would be the 6 Billion from the crowdsale, and whatever has been mined.

If ETN were $1 today, for example, it would have a marketcap of 6 Billion and would take the # 5 spot away from Dash.

At $1 per coin, it would still only be close to 10% of BTCs marketcap, and with Electroneum passing Bitcoins total users of 3 million rather quickly, I dont see $1 a coin as unrealistic at all. Id say 3 to 18 months to go to $1 IMO!

15 billion coins will be mined in the future Smiley
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ Electroneum ⚡ Token Sale Sept 14th Mobile Mining Crypto Coin on: September 24, 2017, 06:39:21 PM
Hello everyone,

Does anybody have any information about what the total rate of ETN creation is likely to be annually?

Obviously it will be a range determined by the success of the ICO, the market rate once it hits exchanges, and the minimum to which they subsidize mobile mining, but I still would like to know the lower and upper bounds for the range of the number of coins likely to be mined annually for the first few years in order best to calculate whether I should buy more and advertise among my friends or whether there's just too little information to risk advising anyone else to bet on it with me.

I think this is a great project with an awesome business plan and great potential for growth, but the planned rate of coin creation is necessary for calculating the potential for its price to increase.

Thanks to anyone with the knowledge.

6 Billion plus whatever is mined 15 milliom will take many many years

15 billion, not 15 million Smiley

How can we access to app beta ?

They are currently looking for 10-20 people who want to do it, and we at the forum, have made a list, so people can list their interest in testing the app-beta. The devs will decide who get to test it.

Im throwing down 50 BTC and I have been telling everyone about it

Ah slacker, I'm putting down 500 BTC! BOOOM

if you are for real, my hat is off to you sir

Pretty sure if I had that sort of money I probably wouldn't invest in an ICO, more so buy the business...

That said, Electroneum may be the first ICO I invest in.

Shame about this current market downturn though as I will get a lot less for my buck!
I will invest a little amount into the project when the coin gets more people interested in it. That coin is getting known to many people here.

That is great to hear! Now you being a seasoned hero member, do you find yourself hearing about a lot of people talking about it?

Tell me how will be the process of hashing on the phone?

Hi!

There will be a pool that allocates coins to the app to reward it running the app, which comes from a pool that is the unsold coins from the ICO.

The mobile app will be getting coins other than just from the pool of unsold coins. The unsold coins are used as a bonus.

The bonus kicks in if the mobile mining calculates to make less than $30 a month. If it calculates to be more, the bonus coins unsold from the ICO will not be added in until it drops below $30 a month again.

The blockchain is powered by those mining on their home computers, so those mining on the phones dont need to use their phones resources to power the blockchain. This is why they are calling the mobile mining a "mining experience".

There will also be an option to play the in App game to get bonus coins.

Aaah now i see. So the pool will just be used to adjust the mining rate; i thought it was going to be allocating coins as a pool to start with irregardless. Thanks for the clarification!

The collected results are quite a lot, and the time of ICO is still running very long, but usually the sales are only a lot in the beginning only, and in the middle and last day of ICO usually the results do not exist.
And it's better time ICO does not need long

Yes it is a long ico, we cross our fingers that the ICO will continue to pick up momentum, i don't know if you would say this is still in the start, but the pace of investments is picking up very nicely!
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much willl you invest in Electroneum? on: September 23, 2017, 07:26:57 PM
So I have invested in this, looks very promising but I see few of you keep telling here about the ceo, very rich, fortune 500 etc
If that is the case why do the ICO?
The "Fortune 500" company can sponsor everything and just get to people mining it and other things, whats the need for an ICO, that too at this cheap price?

Because they need mass adoptation, and by that they need a lot of people. Word of mouth is very powerful and you can't really force that, but to let people join in and see how great of a project it is Smiley

That doesn't make sense.I know what you are saying is right, but for the same thing they already have the money going by some guys posting here that the ceo is rich and all.
Use that money for promotion, 'word of mouth as you mentioned 'and development of the app directly, whats the need for an ICO is what I asked

Why doesn't that make sense? A multi-million dollar company can develop and push an app, but the market may never ever adopt or even like the app. What this approach ensures is that while the ICO is on the way, beta-testing can be done by the community and any changes/new approach can be discussed or announced to the people. Without people, no coin to be honest. This is just one of the approaches, you could do as you say, and just pay everything by themselves, but the amount of people you have dedicated and incentivized, while doing an ICO is larger and more interested than people you could pay to do the job. I am not saying it is because they want to save money, i am saying that it is a more powerful tool.
Bitcoin didn't have a multi million dollar company to start with nor was there an app or it concerned with mass adoption or ICO to start with or create a job, so what you are saying still doesn't make sense to the question I had put up

When bitcoin was in the early start, didn't it want to be an alternative to fiats? What part of that isn't concerning with mass adoption? What you said there just doesn't really make sense, and i don't see your point, sorry.

Did i do a mistake?

I have sent bitcoins directly from coinbase to the bitcoin address provided on the website - the one I received after login.
Is this the correct way to do it? Normally I send the coins to a private wallet, before sending to the ICO-address, so they can return the coins to my private wallet. Normally ICO have a warning, not to send from exchanges, because you will not be able to receive the coins.

Did I do a mistake, by sending directly from coinbase to the bitcoin-address provided in the login area?

, Kenneth

Hi! From what i can tell, you did the absolutely right thing. Each account on my.electroneum.com receives a special wallet-adress which is just to be typed into the exchange deposit formula, and this way, they will know its you, and give you the right amount of coins Smiley

Team Boulard83 FTW !!!!

You are spamming the forum with your same post. This is not facebook or twitter that you can just post nonsense again and again. You are out of topic from this thread. Delete your post before you got banned from moderators.

For the OP nice try on putting efforts before investing. This should always be the mindset of every people investing. This guys is just being careful before investing.

Do your own research through whitepaper / bitcointalk / or even do background checks on developer.
Invest what you can afford to lose even if it is a scam!

Lol, what was that? Why would you even put your funds even if you already know that it's a scam?

I agree on the agressive spamming of the forum, it really isn't pretty to watch at all, while bringing no new information to the table, which in my mind is a minimum for posting really.

I think what he was trying to say, or at least thats how i read it, was that no matter what you should never get carried away even if it sounds too good to be true, and invest more than you can afford to lose Smiley
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ELECTRONEUM SPECULATION THREAD on: September 23, 2017, 12:17:29 AM
Ultimately the thing that determines marketcap is the whales behind it. Dash is a prime example. It was instamined ~ 30% in frst 48 hours of release then they changes names twice, did a lot of manipulation, it was only $10-$20 at start of 2017 and now look at it. There have been a ton of shady dealings surrounding that coin but the promoters are rutheless with spreading misinformation.

I'm not saying electroneum needs to lie to succeed but the large holders need to keep their share and push forward with it. I'm hoping for a great success but as it pertains to market behavior I'm an atheist. You have to keep in mind it might not go the way you want.

Here's hoping! If enough people download the app who arent otherwise in cryptocurrency it could really fly but there's no telling.

I am crossing my fingers !
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ELECTRONEUM SPECULATION THREAD on: September 22, 2017, 11:30:04 PM
I was speaking to the total crypto marketcap being in the trillions. I dont think any coin can be 200% current total marketcap without at least having 1,000 billions on the table. (1 trillion) even then that coin with 210 billion marketcap would be 1/5th the total cap.

I think 10 cents is inevitable, 30 cents likely $1-$5 is exceptional and $10 is a 5 year+ goal.

The coin IS a long term investment as well. What they are trying to do, isn't done over night, so i would agree with what you're saying; especially the $1 being a 24 month-ish goal to reach.

What price is everyone expecting/hoping for?

I expect $.1 per and hope for as much as possible with a definite hardcap of $10 per coin in lala land territory.

I expect between 0.05$ and 0.10$ at release. 20-30 cents a coin would already be in the "crazy" territory as price/marketcap.

$10 is if crypto is in trillions instead of billions.

If you consider there will only be about 1/3 - 1/4 of max supply in circulation that helps the upside. 50 cents is totally possible within the first few months of 2018.

Im prepared whichever way it goes.

I don't believe it offers enough to the market to hit a $Trillion, it certainly has the ability for quick expansion but I believe it will be very front heavy and top out in the low billions.

Not sure where the "Trillions" math is coming from.

At $10 a coin it would be right around BTC Marketcap. Very optimistic, sure. Hard to reach Bitcoins success, definately.

But it is NOT "crazy Trillions"

Double check your math!!

At $10 a coin we're looking at $210.000.000.000 in total, i think what you might confuse it with, is if the coins from the ICO (6 billion) reaches $10 it will be around Bitcoins market cap! Smiley
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Electroneum a SCAM??? on: September 22, 2017, 10:42:02 PM
I don't think Electroneum is a scam, but I don't feel it has anything going for it. In all their marketing they keep posting a guys face that has been involved with startups like Uber, and all the guy did was a tweet about the project. I'm not going to invest in junk.

That is really because the marketing they are going to do, depends solely on the money raised through the ICO, so it hasn't officially begun yet!
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] ⚡ Electroneum ⚡ Token Sale Sept 14th Mobile Mining Crypto Coin on: September 22, 2017, 10:31:16 PM
Have you guys considered a new logo? Ill post one sample up XD. You'll get what I mean with the plans you guys have.

How are you guys going to tackle the everyday mobile user just "mining" for free and not contributing any utility to the blockchain.
Will the reward ratios be adjusted for each algorithm depending on the users on PC vs mobile?

Also, how plausible is extending the algorithm to other game developers to make electroneum the n.o 1 mobile currency/reward system (scalability of mobile games using electroneum)?
Can it be done through web API (REST) for example?

I believe the logo looks great!

I also love the website.

I dont know of any plans to change the logo as it is fine as is.

It would be great if we can "be the #1 in game currency". Before that we would like to set up an exchange where items your earn while playing a game can be sold for Electroneum, so you can keep the "work" you put into one game, and transfer it to another.

This would help games as they could be a part of the Electroneum network, and give Electroneum utility by being the "in between" game currency.

This is just one use case for Electroneum.

Once we have a large base of users, we can also attract those from the online gambling industry as well, for example.

Having millions of mobile users is great and that's great, but does the team/ or anything strongly believe this mass adoption will be what drives the value of the coin up ( because millions of people can get coins free even if there is a cap/day and the amount being small) . So its two competing forces that drive the value up ,and the other drives the value down. Thoughts anyone?

LOGO:

As Electroneum plans to be as close as possible to fiat currency ( being readable and accessible etc) , I was thinking its logo should make it look like how other currencies' logos are like. Bitcoin and only a few other coins have a similar concept. This came to mind when looking at the logo of the mobile app on my phone. Perhaps the logo for the coin itself should be different and look like traditional currency logos and the app's logo can be another.

PS: Not a professional graphics designer, just enough to get the job done.
I realised the "e" made it look like IEs logo hahaha, also took some inspiration from the euro icon hahaha.
Just made some random drafts. Just for fun, little bit off here and there.

*Cant get the img tags to work, must be new member limit D:

On the contrary. The value is hidden in the fact that many people will likely be using this to gain free coins, and be introduced to the crypto-world. That means they can either go further into mining, use it for gaming or gambling or even trade with it to other cryptocurrencies and potentially invest in new ICOs and cryptos, growing the entire market. Likewise the mass adoptation is the key to market this coin to companies that would want to use it. The more that uses a coin the more interesting it becomes to everyone else, and on the other hand increases the potential market for all cryptos in regards to audience. It might seem as two opposing forces, but one drives another.

I have had a look at Crowdholding, looks a good project.

Although you are going to have to wait to invest, their ICO starts on the 1st of November.

No the ICO started 14th of September, it ends on the 1st of November Smiley
