This make me feel nervous a little bit because after I've read that our country is going to put some regulations in crypto I overthink that it will leads to a ban sooner or later but it seems that I'm all wrong after I read your post fully and I feel relieved right now. In my opinion, this is great for us because at we can feel that our government support the crypto community and take some actions to protect us against fraud. It seems that our government only wants the best for us having no bad intentions at all so let's be glad and worry nothing. To me it looks like this is restricting the money from heading outside the country, and nothing more than that. I hope for your sake they are doing it to protect you but in any case we will never know the dirty truth.

If you use multiple sources though you will be able to see the correct prices and therefore Coinmarketcap won't be able to manipulate. But this only works if we as end users use multiple sites and not just one. We all know what happens when anybody gets a monopoly...not good things.

So many ICO coming everyday and very difficult to choose what is best. Comment if you invest in anyone.
Yes, that's right. It's really hard to choose the right one as they say, "of every 100 projects 99 is either fraud or scam". So, I would like to share you and read this article, How Not To Be Scammed By An ICO and also this thread, Developer’s advice to ICO investor which I think worth of merits. Or you could opt out and take the easier route. Not even easier it is just smarter to avoid ICOs. Do you really think you are skilled enough to find the 1-5 ICOs out of 100 that are worthy? If so by all means go for it, but I don't like my chances and I will abstain for that reason.

I was going to say the markets aren't crashing, but that was when I looked this morning. Not even 12 hours later and the world is shook. What the hell did I miss in the last little bit? Did the twitter ban cause all this ruckus or was it something else?

To help those in dire situations in the world. Crypto was made for that reason, to make things more anonymous and easier for the average person to have access to a financial system. Crypto wasn't made for CryptoKitties nor was it made to make people rich. Those two things are a result veering from the main course. The main use cases behind Bitcoin I feel is everyday currency (will take while to get here), and helping the unbanked people in the world.

You OP are a visionary and I like that, we need more people like that in this space. People get too lost in what just happened or worrying about the immediate future, nobody ponders the long long game.
RESERVE ME A PLACE IN PARADISE TOO!

Indeed it is. But I cannot see the pyramiding structure you try to imply. How does it become a pyramiding scheme knowing that you are the one investing on it and not asking for your those under you. You cannot say a comparison without a distinct word equivalent to it.
I think people get confused with making gains and ponzi schemes. Because you make more money by other people getting involved, they seemingly think this is a ponzi scheme. Pretty stupid because every capitlistic venture is exactly that, more people getting in makes the early investors rich. Most people are stupid, don't think like the average human.

If Bitcoin made it to 2140 for real, that would be unreal and I think beyond most of our expectations here. Hard to believe any industry can go that long without being changed, but finance did it before for over 200 years perhaps it can happen again. Dont rule it out is all I am saying.

airdrops are company sponsored tokens for promotion of their ico
They can be that, or they can be useless tokens used be scammers. Or they can be good coins like Byteball, Bitcore, and DeepOnion that offer airdrops. That is how they can be adminstered, although every group has a different requirement. Airdrop in the purest form is filling out information and getting coins or tokens. This is the least profitable though and that is why scammers use that method on tokens. It is easy and cheap and people will get involved if they get free tokens. Better airdrops in my opinion are in the form of coins, and they give you a % based on how much you are hodling.

Bitcoin doesn't need to add on Lightning Network but it will help the overall stress on the main chain and at the same time allow for private transactions and micro payments. While it isn't necessary it is in the best interest for Bitcoin that Lightning gets added.

Everybody's money has been heading toward zero since mid January. The only way to prevent that is to cut your losses and not FOMO on getting in or out of coins. You gotta be confident with what you do, some altcoins may be dying but all are not. Seek out the worthy projects and your investment will be safe, seek out the shiicoins and it will most likely end bad.

I dont think that the illicit activity that bitcoin is used for will end bitcoin. Bitcoin wasnt made to with the intent of being used for illicit activity it was made to solve the problem on centralized currency. With this being said you could apply the same logic to guns. Guns are constantly being used to kill people in the U.S, but that is not their only use so you cant entirely blame guns for murder.
It is a childish way to go, but the media needs something interest to get their readers' attention. Not only could you apply the guns logic but if any currency that is used for illegal activity is useless, then every currency in the world is useless. We may as well not have cash then ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) , because there will always be criminals in society.

With a political system put in place like the merits you are always going to have people who did deserve them but didn't get them, and people who didn't deserve them and do get them. Sadly this is the way of world and there are politics nearly everywhere we go. It was cool that Bitcointalk was free of that for a while, but it seems the changes were for the better. But at the end of the day you gotta suck it up and figure out a way. As the saying goes don't hate the player, hate the game.

I like the idea a lot, it reminds me of how Bittrex does it when you sign in from different IP. Added bonus is because we don't have 2FA we won't have to type that code in several times before entering. 2 thumbs up idea, great way to increase security!

Of course it can become a choice for ordinary investors but we need to be more professoinal before that happens I believe. You can't have everybody calling every other project a scam because it isn't the coin they support. We should judge projects on their own merits, not based of what we have invested in. We have a lot of growing up to do, and it would bode well for us if we did it quickly.

noooo ^^ person above me sniped me idea while I was afk.....fudge me what a cruel world ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Idea #1: Reddit like system. Up voted posts the most hit the top (ie likely the one you want to merit most) and so forth. Idea #2: You are not allowed creating threads until you reach the Member. I believe this will slow down the spamming although it may not get rid of it outright.
