If gamemaster and roleplay are segregated, which role you want me into?
The gamemaster plays the role of gamemaster. (grin)

That means I will play the Risto Pietilä, First Gamemaster and Viceroy of the Earth. The title is equivalent to 05 so it's above Duke and below Satoshi. I will only attend to events organized by Princes and above, and even then it has to be a special occasion.

Will there be a role for vassals?

Mea Culpa! I'm looking at BTC at $100+ right now, Saturday, June 15th. I'm wrong, my prediction was wrong, and I am a clueless noob.
Let the dissing commence! (grin)
Just spill the beans then. What were you looking at happening and what are you looking at happening...?

Sorry I thought I had spilled all the beans. I expected the publicity from this event http://globalforumljd.org/events/2013/061413_currencies.htm to cause a crash with rumors of heavy regulation, Congressional hearings and public hue and cry starting on Friday. It didn't happen, but purely by coincidence, BTC did drop below 100. I expected the news cycle on the "We must Save The Children from Slavery and Sexual Abuse!" to blow up by Tuesday, dropping BTC to at least below 88. I expected the reaction to the news cycle to be so intense that scrutiny by government agencies, first in the U.S., and then spreading to Europe, followed by congressional subpoenas, heavy regulation of exchanges, miners and traders of BTC would commence. All of this causing a flash crash of BTC to below 50 in less than 2 weeks. Obviously I was wrong. Dang. I really wanted to think about buying really cheap bitcoins instead of triple digit ones. I think I'll stop trying to speculate anywhere but the newbie forum so it doesn't look like I know what I'm talking about. (grin)

44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Litecoin pass 10$ by the end of June? on: June 15, 2013, 12:51:05 PM
Such an extreme increase of value could likely only result, in such a short of time, if Gox implement LTC.
Yes:)

What??? Your Goat! If anybody would have inside info on Gox implementing LTC before the end of June it's you! Cmon, fess up! (grin)
45  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin... Where is this all going? on: June 15, 2013, 12:20:39 PM
Good questions. You should put it as a poll, if you can. I'm not sure how to do that myself. My newbie opinion is that it's too early to tell, still in beta. A lot of old timers here seem to be divided between nothing can stop it and the PTB's are going to crush it for having the gall to challenge the status quo of fiat currency. I like the nothing can stop it crowd. I like the idea that Bitcoin is a disruptive technology similar to the internet. Too widely distributed and invested to kill. Like AOL! (grin)

Who knows really. But it's fun to watch. I think putting as many BTC as you can afford to lose in an offline paper wallet, or physical coin is a good bet.

I use an alarm to wake me when the price goes above or below a certain price. People are expecting another Sunday dump but I think it's going to be the opposite this time. Dumps don't work when everyone expects them, so you need to do the opposite of what's expected to get results. Wink

What do you use?

* I noticed some people are having trouble with the titles being likened to nobility. I think some people might have a visceral reaction towards the association of bitcoin and nobility, and that might turn some people off who would probably be interested in the idea of a Supernode network otherwise. Nevertheless, I personally find it an interesting metaphor.
I tried out all systems (military, business) that came to my mind, and Nobility seemed to be a good system with established rules, and underused, and mathematically suitable to the task (armed forces could have been another one, with 1.0 Supernode as a 4 star General).

I think Nobility is perfect. Think of the myth of King Arthur and the round table. Nobility has the responsibility to be Noble, to define Nobility with Noble actions. To rule in a Noble fashion. To be humble before God and man, yet powerful in the face of avarice, corruption and evil intentions. Bitcoin is a tool that can be used for good and evil. It needs Noblemen to use it so that it isn't perceived as merely another way for evil to overcome good men.

It would seem the $100 support is about to be broken for good, in which case OP would be correct...

Which will only REALLY mean anything if the OP is right for the reason he think's he's right. Which should be apparent by the 18th. Besides the OP is just a clueless noob without any BTC. What does it matter if he's right? (grin)
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flashcrash this month on: June 14, 2013, 11:31:19 AM
So much fail in this thread.

Could be. If so, it's all mine. I stand by my OP. "And yet it moves" (grin)

It moves because we are in a motherfucking bear market, you have to be blind not to see it.

We have been trading on decreasing volume since Sunday, while ask sum increased.

A dip was expected for obvious reasons (again: bear market after bubble bursts), regardless of this world Bank FUD gathering. In fact, first dip happened way before that gathering started.

Bottomline is that even if I'm right I'm still a noob who got lucky because of a different point of view. Doesn't mean I suddenly understand BTC trading. I've been reading the Wall Observer thread and I didn't want to post this "epiphany" there because I haven't a clue. BTC has to stay below 99 for me to think my prediction is right. And that's just today. It has to keep dropping to below 88, and stay below 88 on Tuesday as well.

Seriously? The Wall of Fame? I guess that means I'm famous! Oh shit! That means I'm famous! Time to head for the bunker and put on my tinfoil hat!
It's really a Wall of Fame/Wall of Shame
Either way I'm scared. (grin)
53  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flashcrash this month on: June 14, 2013, 08:18:34 AM
Oh, I can't wait for this crash and burn, I don't mean Bitcoins crash and burn, but you're wild ass guesses and claiming insider information. Burn baby burn!

I don't think anything can kill Bitcoin, if that's what you mean by burn. But I'll deserve all the ridicule I'll get if I'm wrong. I'm all in. (grin)

+1 I believe the whole purpose is to pull the public's visceral trigger.
56  Economy / Speculation / Re: Flashcrash this month on: June 14, 2013, 06:57:21 AM
Regulation only affects acquiring bitcoins. The fundamentals do not change. Speculators have already taken this into account.
And this is why I'm a noob. I have no idea how that relates to my prediction.  Shocked
I'm a n00b too but I think regulation will be good because it will reduce the scam exchanges and legitimatize bitcoin in the eyes of the American public and *hopefully* result in more exchanges popping up - legitimate exchanges that are safer than the guy behind the counter where you use to buy MTG cards before you had to grow up and get a job.

The problem I see with regulation at this point is that the people that would be doing it are akin to the foxes guarding the hen house. They'd want excessive fees, account verification, chargeback ability, background checks, your first born child as collateral...(grin)

Really? Looks like more than one. Oh well. let me play devil's advocate and put words in their mouths:

Ernie Allen, International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children: "Would you like to see Britannia Rule again, my friend? All you have to do is follow the worms."
(grin)

Jim, as much as I hate people with "insider information" making predictions - you have officially redeemed yourself in my eyes.

Thanks! My all time favorite album. I use to play the cassette in my Walkman while I was reading gas meters. Over and over and over. I still play the CD while grinding on F2P EQ2. And now I'm gonna have to watch the movie again. Nice to meet a fellow addict. (grin)

There is only one US official listed as a speaker. This looks like nothing more than a lobbyist soiree sponsored by big banks. The folks with power may be in attendance, but I doubt they will be paying attention to the speakers.

Really? Looks like more than one. Oh well. let me play devil's advocate and put words in their mouths:

David Mills, Federal Reserve Board of Governors: "BTC is a blackmarket payment system with no accountability"
-
Emery Kober, USA Department of Treasury: "FinCEN has tried to work with them to no avail. We're very concerned."
-
Iddo De Jong, European Central Bank: "We're carefully monitoring the effect this unregulated currency is having on our efforts to save the Euro. We're very concerned."
-
Jason Thomas, Thomson Reuters: It's really cool! All we need to do is let it replace fiat currency and bank fees and it'll rock! It's harmless! Wait...why am I being escorted to the door? It's harmless I tell you!
-
Ernie Allen, International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children: "Would you like to see Britannia Rule again, my friend? All you have to do is follow the worms."
(grin)

Total paranoia FUD mode: I think BTC annoys the PTB. They want it dead and buried. But how to do you Black Friday something like this without looking vindictive? Revealing SR to the public didn't do it. Associating it with evil money laundering barely made a dent. Trying to prove terrorist use it would be too complicated and would just make Joe Public's eyes glaze over and blame the PTB for that. But saving the children because BTC is the child sex slave trade's untraceable currency of choice? EVIL! THE HORROR! SAVE THE CHILDREN!

Three letter agencies will probably eventually come around to embed some actual child porn imagery in the blockchain, and then watch out.

Or maybe OpenCoin will do it so people switch to cripple.

I'm betting that one of their "smoking guns" will be that those evil bitcoin perverts put child porn links in their blockchain thingy.
