Forgive me for asking as I haven't read the whitepaper thoroughly, where are you planning on storing the massive hard drive storage?
I am aware that you will keep four replica of the files, does that mean that you will have four separate hard storage for that?

Casper is a file system utility for decentralized applications based on Ethereum, and other blockchain platforms supporting smart contracts. The blockchain platform is based on a P2P network, participants of which provide resources to perform transactions and calculation. Casper complements the P2P blockchain platform with a storage unit network, which provides HDD file storage service to users, while storage units ensure the network is functioning properly. The storage unit network may be connected to several blockchain platforms (now we use Ethereum platform only). A storage unit may be connected to the network by any person with proper equipment at their home, or a regional data center, which is interested in putting its idle facilities in operation. Each network participant will receive payments for rendering storage services. Casper’s provider verification and rating system is tailored to motivate its participants to act in their own interests, independently from each other, thus maintaining the stability of the P2P network. All participants form a decentralized and independent data storage network, which cannot be controlled by any single person or company. You know what I like on Casper? I like casper because of it's service offered plus the people behind it is so active. Like in this tread, Casper admin is so active on answering everybody's question. And he's not tired on explaining what Casper is even he already explained it before. We are not having hard time on following this project. |

When I earned my first money with the bounty, people around me (especially my family) asked me where did my money came from. When I told them that it came from bounty campaigns, I saw their puzzled face. So I explain it to them with this analogy: "When politicians are running for office, they always show their faces in public in order for them to remember. They give flyers with their name and platforms in it. ICOs are like politicians and their elections is called bounty campaign. Same scenario here and it's really hard to explain lol. The thing that I said is that, Bounty campaigns is like advertisement which we can be paid for advertising our supported project. Unlike the usual advertisement on tv, we do spreading about the project that we are supporting through social medias and forum. We are going to paid using token which we can exchange for different cryto currencies like bitcoin. Then when I already have Bitcoin the next thing I do is to exchange it to real currencies like USD. Now, they understand what I am doing. |

Now all the markets are crashing down and I don't know what to do with my altcoins. My briefcase fell 30% in a couple of days. I'm afraid I might lose more. Selling or hodl?
It's normal that you'll see red color prices on the market but do not panic as it will raise again. Just hold your altcoins, the price can recover soon. If you panic sell you will just miss the chance to recover from your lost. But of course you have to weigh whether there is still a chance to recover or not none all. |

It should not replace any currency because we all actually need fiat unless Bitcoin gets used completely as a currency everywhere. That will bring a lot of adjustment to different countries as well as to the people.

I am fairly sure that billionaires invest in Bitcoin and other crypto's, but the thing is that they prefer to remain in silence, out of the publicity.

Yes,There are projects in the market which have some functions or services offered as Casper. However, Casper is not looking into its competitors but Casper is just focusing on it's own. The team as well as the supporters know that Casper is the best among it's competitors. Yes. That's also what Casper Team says as reply to my query.. they were taking notes of competitors mistakes so they could prevent such incident in their own project. Talking about competitors, I highly recommend is the "Gas Files". Gas Files has set out to tackle the problems associated with digital file storage head on. Utilizing IPFS and Ethereum blockchain technology, Gas Files enables anyone around the world to store any number of files of any size without limits or security concerns. Unfortunately Casper has own and unique platform. It may overcome the others competitors base of their services.  Thanks for sharing this, just for sake of comparison. But we know that this project has its own unique characteristics that is uncomparable. Good team we have here! Please do refrain from promoting other projects in this thread. But this is a good thing since we can compare how good casper is compared to the others. I asked on their telegram before saying what is are the difference and similarities on Casper to Gas files? They said the they didn't know who or what is gas files. Meaning, Casper is not threatened to Gas files or to any other competitors. |

As I can see the start of ICO is MAY but it's depends of the marketing of CASPER API, if they open again a pre-sale in APRIL and it will sold again I think this be huge advantage to be finish already in the opening of ICO why? Because it's already less token to be sell in ICO so it's simple, stay tuned for more valuable news about casper ✌ I Think I know what you are trying to say. Aside from what you have mentioned, do you still know other competitors of casper for comparison purposes? Yes, but we do not mention in our topic other projects or companies I fully understand. Thank you for replying though. Actually there are a lot of competitors, some are already running and some are just new like Casper. But competitors is not that important it's about how will you going to overcome those competitors you have. And that will casper do, to prove itself that despite the fact that they're already have competitors, they will stand still by their own. I disagree that competitors are not an important factor. In business there is always competition and you always need to be on top, otherwise your competitor will eat you up. I'm not saying that competitors are not important totally, I said NOT THAT important. What I mean is, do not focus on your competitors as it might just bring pressure to you. Just mind your own business All thoughts have been appreciated. Both side are correct since every businesses have its own competitors and through competitors, it helps us to strive harder to make our business better. And we can really say that our project is successful when we have competitors to compare with. However, We should not really focus on our competitors to the extent that we will just make a move when one is making it's move also. I have been holding some altcoins since January 2018, But then the market crush hard and I am not able to sell my altcoins because I am in loss with these coins. Even I invested in more established coins like, Waves,strat,Iota,wabi but overall my portfolio is around 40% down so far. When I am able to see profit? Holding them for long term is worth my patient?  Actually you have no choice but to stay patient and hold still since you already loss your profit. All you have to do is to take risk and have faith that the price of altcoins you were holding would go back to it's original price. |

Safest is to have one MEW address per bitcointalk Account. If you are unlucky enough you might get caught and kick to the darkest room or worst you'll be ban. If that happens, all your work will just be wasted |

Do you have some partnerships with an crypto projects or maybe some sort of collaborations? And do you want to provide your storage for the big crypto projects?
Same question that I wanna know. I don't have any info about this yet, but I think soon Casper will be partnered with big projects since the main function of Casper is to give solution regarding file storage problem. In fact, casper is really need by big projects so no doubt that casper will be partnered with big companies soon. |
