41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When will bitcoin start rising? Will ripple rule the market in the future? on: December 29, 2017, 04:29:34 PM
I was completely shocked today to see ripple briefly overtaking ethereum (marketcap)!  I am scared to see bitcoin becoming the next victim in the future. Now, when do u think bitcoins to start increasing given the fact that the  popularity of ethereum and ripple is also increasing? do u think investors would be as keen to invest in bitcoins as we have seen in 2017?

Thanks for your answers Smiley

Expect bitcoin to rise in 2018 many experts says that it will rise at january 1st or 2nd week this 2018. If your a bitcoin hodlers then you are one of the investor. And bare in mind that keeping more bitcoin will be a heaven in future Cheesy
Hope it help !
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Average Amount of BTC Bought By New Investors Now? on: December 29, 2017, 04:14:04 PM
Bitcoin is all over the news.  They talk about it on cnbc and almost all the tv channels now.  They talk about how people are going to buy bitcoin now or soon and how their financial advisors are advising them to buy bitcoin.

What I want to know is those people who are now getting into bitcoin, what is the average amount of btc bought by new investors?  Like if someone says i just bought bitcoin or some bitcoin, how much do you think that means?  Obviously it isn't 1 btc since thats a lot of money.  I assume most people probably are buying say 100 or 200 dollars on average?  Some maybe do 1000 dollars?  Im talking about people that have been hearing about the btc talk but either did not buy a while back or just heard about it all over the news etc.

For example when you hear a friend say they bought some btc... how much is that sum would you think on average?  Im assuming maybe 50 dollars or 100 dollars?  Obviously i assume most people who first buy now probably do like 10 dollars or so?  Also those people that buy say 100 dollars worth of it, are they still called investors or not because that amount is very tiny.  I guess speculator is more the term for people who buy btc but probably less than say 1000 dollars?

This question is confusing mate. But if a person is new in bitcoin maybe he/she needs to buy bitcoin at now so many or expensive since he/she is still starting then buy small. If you take bitcoin as a business then start at small. Remember that all business should start at down then moving up.
Hope it help !

45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Too late to invest in cryptos if you're old? on: December 29, 2017, 09:50:29 AM
If you are old, you cant invest for long term, year or two for example. Just do not trade, cause you will lost money. Good luck

If you're old still invest and trade, Just let your family or elder family to engage into what you're doing so that they will absorb what you do, By  the time your passed away your youngest member of the family will catch what you trade and invest.
Hope it help to guide the old man  to engage into crypto world Cheesy

What would you guys advise someone who is retired, living off pension and savings? Is it too late/risky to invest at that kind of age?
Do you guys think the elderly have a chance of jumping on the crypto train, or do you guys think it's too late for them to invest?

Hhmmm, I don't think so if investing to cryptocurrency is too late. There's no too late in crypto world . If you can invest then GO ! If you can perform trading or mining then go .Go with your heart
For you to succeed.
Hope it helps !
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why bitcoin so expensive? on: December 29, 2017, 09:27:00 AM
Bitcoin is so expensive if it will be converted to my country's currency it will cost hundred of thousands.
Why bitcoin worth that much even its only a cryptocurrency can someone give me an idea.

Bitcoin is a online cryptocurrency. Do you know the supply and demand rules ? The higher the demand and the lower supply can lead to a high price ?
There are limited bitcoin circulating in cryptoworld. Therefore I conclude that bitcoin is high price because it is only limited and the demand is so high and its going high and high thats why the price is going high too.
Hope it helps !
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Anyway to speed up confirmations? on: December 29, 2017, 08:53:24 AM
Transferred 0.4018 BTC from HitBTC to Brittex before and it has been stuck on zero confirmations for 4 hours.

Is there anyway to speed this up?

To speed up your transaction you need to accelerate your TXID . But I think bitcoin transaction now is slow due to heavy usage and many users, Suggest to use TXID accelerator. Hope it helps !
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin will survive after 100 year ? on: December 29, 2017, 05:32:14 AM
I am asking this just to see the different opinions of Bitcoin community about its long term potential

I know Bitcoin is actually strong enough and stable as well

But what do you think about it after 100 years ?

It depends if there's still people who will support the bitcoin. Since bitcoin is stable as of now but some says the bitcoin is so slow nowadays because of many people using it and the blockchain is so hard to confirm the transaction . In short if this continues people will switch to other coins instead and bitcoin will be vanished.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New to Bitcoin, looking for some advice... on: December 29, 2017, 04:58:40 AM
Thanks, i am prepared to take a risk. But it seems the risk with bitcoin is less than with Altcoins, although also less chance of huge returns or losses. I would rathr play it slightly safer with bitcoins to start with.

Can someone reccomend the best place to buy bitcoins in the UK? Also, do I need a wallet to keep them in?

Hey mate ! You mean buying bitcoin in UK in a physical store or online ? if online you can do research on google where to buy . There's many out there you just need to do is use your internet and research. Speaking of buying bitcoin in UK at physical store , I can't help . But try localbitcoins.com maybe you can buy there . Thanks ! Hope it helps !
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you mean when you say Bitcoin is number 1 on: December 29, 2017, 04:07:09 AM
We are entering an era of multiple digital currencies, and many of them will survive. Bitcoin is certain to be one of them, but it can't be number one for every factor. Where do you think Bitcoin will stay as number 1

  • Store of value
  • Services in addition to simple money transfer
  • Convenience
  • Security
  • Investment/speculation
  • Safe transfer speed
  • Privacy
  • Freedom from globalist control
  • Other

In my opinion bitcoin is considered as number 1 in cryptocurrency because its the center of all crypto in other words bitcoin is the mother of all crypto, And bitcoin also has many online wallet where people who have bitcoin can use it to pay theire respective bill. This is just my opinion hope you consider this one, Godbless !
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New to Bitcoin, looking for some advice... on: December 29, 2017, 02:24:08 AM
Hi everyone

I have known about Bitcoin for many years, but did not have the money to invest until now. I know many think it is a bad time and the bubble will burst, and from what I know there is no way of telling what will happen next, so it is just a risk to be taken.

It seems that as there is a dip right now that its not a bad time to invest. I am from the UK but currently living in Thailand for the next few months. Can anyone reccomend the best/safest place to buy Bitcoin if I'm from the UK. Is it possible when I am here in Thailand?  My cousin said he used an offline wallet called Electrum, but said I could just leave the Bitcoin in the accoun of the place I bought it from. What is the best thing to do, what site would you use?

I was thinking of buying £1000 worth, and just leaving it in and seeing what happens over the next few years. I do not plan to constantly buy and sell, or to build up a portfolio of other cryptocurrencies.

Does £1000 seem like a reasonable investment at this point in the game? Obviously if Id invested that at the start of the year Id be very happy now, but I guess the likelihood of similar returns in the next year are unlikely, but who knows!!

Also, are there other crypto currencies you think might be a better investment, or better to split with Bitcoin?

Thanks, any advice greatly appreciated

Hello, It's nice if you started in bitcoin earlier at bitcoin price is low, But its not too late to engage to bitcoin you can use bitcoin wallet if you dont have money to invest. And participating to ICO is best option you will get bounty and you wont be able to invest money just get free token and hodl that token and if that token price will go high then exchange it to bitcoin there you have your bitcoin. hope this helps thanks
