It's simple. Chinese are poor.

You guys do realize that the founder could've set this thread up as self moderated if he wanted to but instead allowed all of your dumbass comments to be posted because he cares about free speech.
Most other coins wouldn't allow you to shit on the thread like this; they'd just delete your posts.

This article is literally nothing. There is nothing written in that article that indicates a scam. The project was forked from something else. This is done all the time. This is not news.
The founder has a lot of coins from a premine. This is true of almost all coins. They're paying people small amounts to post on twitter. Who cares? Almost every coin is doing this. Check out the Services section of this board to see coins like Ethereum and Lisk doing exactly the same thing. The article is bullshit.

The only good Alts are Decred, Augur, TorCoin and of course, Ethereum.

There are so many number combination in the address, there capital and small letter plus number, so it will be enough for all of us, and if the address is run out we can simply just add the length of the address, but it will be very long before the address run out of number
Looking at the encoding of the Bitcoin address may be fun and interesting but, like I said, the actual number of possible Bitcoins addresses is 2 160. We will never run out. Do not worry about this. 2 160 is about 10 48For comparison the number of water molecules on Earth is about 5 x 10 46So there are about 20 times more Bitcoin addresses than molecules of water on Earth. Population growth being what it is, if bitcoin became the only worldwide currency would 2 160 be enough several hundreds of years down the line? According to this UN Report, The population of the world will be around 36.4 billion by 2300. I'm trying to understand there numbers here. Will 2 160 still be enough?

Many coins die after a short run for different reasons. How long should it take for a coin to prove that it is going to stay, that it is strong and worthy of investment?
I think you can get into new coins if you do your due diligence and really research the people behind it. I think a good rule of thumb is how inspired the founder seems. If the top guy in a coin is not all that into it that is a guaranteed deathblow to any coin. You shouldn't have to feel like you're pulling the teeth of the Dev in order for them to make a serious effort into the success of the coin. The Devs should be the #1 people into it and showing their commitment by doing things like providing a clear roadmap, advertising, and being active in all aspects of the website, ANN thread, etc.

The price is laughably undervalued right now. This project is going to pay people through staking to run a Tor Node. I expect the number of Tor Nodes in the following year who are staking with Torcoin to increase exponentially. Because of Torcoin, the Tor Network is going to be just as fast as the regular internet. The official Tor Project is going to be praising this Coin in the near future when they see how much it helps their network. I mean seriously, the only motive for running a Tor Node without Torcoin is what.... altruism? That's all nice to think about but I think money will attract all types of people to run a Tor Node. It could be so big years down the line that everyone is using Tor instead of the normal internet and running a paid for Tor node through Tor Coin. This could be the future of the internet. Why just use the normal internet when you can stake with Torcoin and get paid to make the internet better? The idea is absolutely brilliant. hey folks don't forget to grab some free TorCoin at our faucet >> http://TorCoinFaucet.comFree TOR :-)
any suggestions for the faucet or for other things just let me know! newbie of TorCoin user need TorAddress. need any direct link to creat TorAddress....! http://torcoin.org/download.html

The calculation of the marketcap doesn't really matter anyhow.
Isn't marketcap just the number of coins times price of said coin?

4. Coin does not offer anything new. No new features. No community. No innovation.
Everything you said is nonsense but this has been pointed out as demonstrably false a bunch of times in this thread. Let me ask you, which other coin actually helps the Tor Network by having the wallet run a Tor node?

I don't trust any of the markets. Markets have gone down before and some will go down in the future. You should always store as much as possible off the exchange.

I don't know why people are saying that there are many coins offering what TorCoin is offering. I haven't seen any coin offering this: There is never any need to 'mix' or 'anonymize' your TorCoins - they are anonymous by default. TOR is fully integrated with TorCoin, which means that a snoop or attacker watching your internet connection will not know if you are using TorCoin - and other TorCoin users cannot determine the physical location of your Torcoin node. TorCoin also offers encrypted end-to-end messaging between TorCoin users.
I am not promoting this coin or anything, and I am not even sure about if it's real or a money-grabbing scam, but I can stand repetitive mistakes. Coins like Zcash, MaidSafe, Monero, etc. offer anonymity, but not like this one. just some little change to the feature doesn't make the coins new based on its function, it's basically the same, why switching off to the uncertain coin if there's already exist certain ones You switch because this coin is only $3 right now and it's going to be $20 this summer.

Yeah I don't see the appeal of this coin over a ton of coins who already do this. Seems to offer very few new features, but will definitely look deeper into thanks for alerting me to it.
With TorCoin you are running a full Tor Node. This helps the Tor Network. The more nodes connected the better for the Tor Network. No other coin does this.

Market cap is shooting up by the hour. I bought in an hour ago and just had to cancel my sell order because of how well it looks like this coin is going to do.
|
|
|
Yes don't sell. Let dev dump first. So dev has 1.2M coins. While block reward is 1 coin, so LOL
He's given the link to his wallet about 10 times in this thread telling everyone not 1 coin will move out of it. He's proved you wrong. The founder isn't going to dump anything. He's already put tons of money into this.

What is the advantage of Torcoin with respect to Monero and Pivx?
On TorCoin you are actually helping the Tor Network by running a node on the wallet. Once it switches to POS this will mean people are actually getting paid to make the Tor Network stronger.
