41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Better than nicehash ??... on: May 26, 2019, 06:21:23 PM
Here are some you may want to check
I am looking possibly to get back to mining with my GPU (possibly get a second one 1080 Ti) i remember when nicehash used to do more or less like 100$/mo, but those days are gone now Sad

So is there any better software to mind with GPY or is nicehash still the best option out there ?...

thanks,

You can take a look at some alternatives:

I'm thinking of BitTorrent (BTT). Looks good temporary, but also from a fundamental point- its name is really widespread and recognizable throughout the world.

Plus, the current price is as low as $0.001376 USD, so it's a good try for small investors. Being available on big exchanges like Binance makes everything even more appealing. What do you guys think?

LOL

You have to do a bit more than "hold and hope" mate , , , you have to fork out £100's for electric too

This really depends on which GPUs you use and the electricity costs in your country... If you already have the mining hardware and your electricity costs are cheap, then you should mine without second thought - https://bitcoinminingsoftware2019.com/bitcoin-mining-hardware-comparison/
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are Mining Still Profit? on: March 06, 2019, 10:24:54 AM
Mining is profitable if you believe in future price action up, as well if you already have the mining equipment. The price is down, but the mining difficulty is down as well, meaning if you hodl and wait for another Bitcoin high, you may as well profit Wink

Try ZClassic. People are panicking over BTCP, and once that's over ZClassic might rise again.

49  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Kryptex legit? on: December 25, 2017, 12:19:33 PM
It might be too soon to say, but my experience with them over the last 5 days clearly suggests that they are not a scam.

I've requested 2 payments(around $70 in total), and received both payments minutes after the confirmation.

So how can you get a payment around $70 from 5 days when on their site is clearly stated that an ordinary PC can get $25, gaming $50 per month, now how can you get around $70 within just 5 days?
And seriously I will not trust installing any unknown miner to my computer just for this.

I've never actually used it for mining, because it was giving me lower prediction than WinMiner. However, I wrote a text on NiceHash alternatives when NiceHash was down, and even though my primary choice was WinMiner, I've listed Kryptex and encouraged people to try it. Apparently it worked for some of them, as I've made $200+ with the Kryptex affiliate system.

My top picks are BTC, ETH, XRP, XLM, ZEC and XMR. Here's why:

I'm also holding 500 ETN, just in case it goes up substantially Cheesy
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Can I mine electroneum with my laptop? on: December 23, 2017, 01:07:45 PM
In your place I wouldn't bother. Right now you can't mine with mobile phone, they didn't even publish mobile wallets yet.

You could download Windows miner from https://downloads.electroneum.com/, and mine with your laptop, but you would be earning 1-2 ETN per day or $0.2. If you want some ETN, maybe better buy them and spare your laptop.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash site is up... on: December 21, 2017, 04:50:12 PM
Well, none of the mining servers are accepting connections at the moment, so ethics aside you can't mine anyway...

Are you trying the nVidia miner? Legacy miner(AMD) works fine since yesterday...
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash site is up... on: December 21, 2017, 01:26:47 PM
not really interested in going back either but will monitor this tread to see what users say about earnings using their service.

NiceHash was and still is the best in the business:

Surprisingly or not, they are the best in the business just few hours after going online Cheesy

Stopped mining Electroneum and compared NiceHash Legacy vs WinMiner- $6.7 vs $5.3. Not bad for first few hours Smiley

Just figured this accidentally. Was able to change password(forced actually), and can't wait to run it and see what's happening Cheesy
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash miner alternatives? on: December 20, 2017, 06:33:03 PM
You can try Kryptex.org

I have been using that for a while now and making about 2 dollars a day on GTX 1070.

For me it's reporting $75/month with 2 x RX 470 and 1 x 270x lol
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Basic startup costs on: December 16, 2017, 12:01:55 PM
I would start with $700-$800 at least. You can buy a good motherboard and power supply for ~$300, CPU and RAM for ~$100, and you need a $100 more for some cheap SSD, monitor, keyboard and mouse. For $250-300 left you could buy one AMD RX 470 and start mining.

Then, when you gather some more money, you add additional GPUs, you're mining power goes up and your ROI gets much better.

If you have ~$2000, you can go with 6 GPUs right away. But if not, you can start with $700, just make sure you buy a motherboard and power supply that does support 6+ GPUs.

Now this definitely depends on what you would like to mine, your electricity costs and how much money you want to invest initially. If you have more money, you could go with 6 Nvidia GTX 1070 cards, or even Vega 64/56 or 1080ti.

Back when NiceHash was live, I've made a summary of best GPUs for mining which you can read here:

http://minerpath.com/best-graphic-cards-for-crypto-mining/

The numbers may not be the same without NiceHash, but should give you a better picture anyway.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Earning nanopool ETN on: December 14, 2017, 01:59:18 PM
Nanopool's earning are way delayed. Stop mining and you'll see your balance will increase for hours after.. with that said Nanopool under performs for me too.

Once I reach my next payout I'm probably moving back to Suprnova.

Earnings are delayed on all ETN pools, because you have to wait for blocks that confirm your earnings.

I'm using electroneum.vip pool, and it works great for last several days.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Nicehash miner alternatives? on: December 13, 2017, 12:32:38 AM
I have not found any decent alternatives. I will share what I have converted over to for the time being and hope it helps someone. My solution for now is as follows:

My rigs run the equihash algo very efficiently. For this reason I have chosen to mine bitcoin gold and electroneum. I am using the suprnova pool. Pool stability has been good and I like the low fees. I have been using ccminer software and I feel it is the easiest option to setup and configure. Also, I have found most of the downloads for it are free from malware.

You may want to forgo the electroneum coin. I consider myself very technical when it comes to all things IT. I am a new to average user when it comes to cryptocurrency . The wallet is very difficult and I am not sure I can gain access to my original one. I have made a 2nd wallet with a gui implementation and so far I am still able to access that one. So if you like a challenge then give this a shot.
We tried Suprnova and other BTG pools and always had issues with the payout amounts, which always seemed to disagree with their own calculators. That's why we stopped mining it.

Electroneum is based on CryptoNight, not Equihash Smiley

Not sure about desktop wallet(if there's one), but paper wallet can be generated in seconds and extremely easy from their official site: https://downloads.electroneum.com/- no technical knowledge required.

@cryptokrazy- Try electroneum.vip pool, it worked great for me over the weekend(unlike the official pool which wasted my time and hashing power).
I'm mining VTC now because the payout is around twice that of ETN on WTM.

Which equipment/pool are you using? Smiley
60  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Kryptex legit? on: December 11, 2017, 09:08:17 PM
Okay, since the issue of nicehash being hacked. I started to find another site where I can sell my processing power, and I found this site.

https://www.kryptex.org/en/

Their Presentation:

"Kryptex is a real mining site of cryptomony.

It is not a Ponzi that asks you to invest but it is a site that proposes to install on your Windows PC software that will undermine.

The software will undermine the cryptomony and you will be paid in Bitcoin or Ruble according to your choice.

The payout is at 0.0002 BTC you will receive within minutes.

An Nvidia GTX 1070 GPU card can produce 2500 Rubles per month in euros: 39 euros or 0.02 BTC."

I wonder if it's scam or a legit site.

It might be too soon to say, but my experience with them over the last 5 days clearly suggests that they are not a scam.

I've requested 2 payments(around $70 in total), and received both payments minutes after the confirmation.
