Is it reasonable to anticipate that individuals investing thousands of dollars should be content with paying tens of dollars in gas fees for each transaction, especially during what we consider "busy" periods?
What do you think would be a solution to this not everyone would be able to keep up with this especially in everyday transactions?
I'm assuming you're referring to Ethereum gas fees. No, I think that's the main value proposition of these Ethereum L2s and other chains. Even long-time crypto users like me still think twice every time I'm about to make an Ethereum transaction. A simple swap costs at least $5 in ETH and that's ridiculous. That's why I always prefer to use DeFi in L2/other chain. If there is another bull run, I think Ethereum will be even more crowded and other activities like DeFi and NFT will have to happen somewhere else. I guess this is the bull case for L2s and chains like Solana.

I am not sure if TL can win the C9-TL match. You took a good risk.
Yep that was a good call 2/2 yesterday. C9-TL went all the way to map 3 but TL could close it there.
We have 3 matches today but I missed the first one. The other two were rematchs of the first round, VP-TL battling for a playoff spot and EF-C9 in the last chance bracket. I think the result would still be the same as the first round, i.e. VP and C9 winning.

Thanks for pointing this out. Glad to hear this directly from Coinbase's chief legal officer. Hopefully, there won't be any major regulatory change that would prevent them from launching $BASE in the future. I would recommend people to try friend.tech while playing around on Base chain. It's one of the hottest & innovative dApp on Base right now.

I think G2 will win on the Ancient map.VP has not played much on this map and G2 is a team with a high winning percentage.
G2 dominated on Ancient, leaving VP with only 5 rounds. They have secured the playoff spot and will play the upper bracket final later this Sunday.
My EPL bets for today. Expecting VP to win against EF and Liquid to upset C9. If Complexity can do it, Liquid should too

3/3 on this, lucky day Betting on Apeks -1.5 against 9z, I think Apeks is just on a higher tier performance-wise than 9z at the moment. I just hope that they won't be too tired to fight against 5yclone later in the day. This can be dangerous as we saw last week, MIBR basically had their energy drained after fighting 6 overtimes across 3 maps against EG. They had no energy left against Monte. Faze vs Navi will be the match of the day. I'm betting on Navi ofc.

Well, that's the problem. Most websites like that have a risk of phishing. I also don't really believe the data that has been attached. Honestly, I don't even know what the function of the website you have linked is even though I have read it several times. Can anyone explain what (not how the site works) the function of what is offered on the site is for?
The website in the OP is not phishing as you can't even connect your wallet. It provides a summary of an address activity on LayerZero, detailing metrics such as volume bridged, transaction count, number of chains and contracts interacted with, etc. I wouldn't take the rank seriously as there are no criteria for the airdrop yet, but the activity summary is quite informative.

I can say that it was a bit of a fantastic try. 5yclone tried to win the map with a good game on the map they chose, but they lost close. Vertigo had a strong lead in CT in its own election. They defended their A attack especially well. It ended 11-4, there will probably be no response from 5yclone. The next Imperial-Apeks match is more exciting. If I can follow it, I will watch that match. It is a very close match, in fact, both sides can win this match. In my opinion, your prediction, Imperial, seems closer.
Yeah, both teams almost had it. Gotta say it was worth the odds. Today's matches should be even more exciting with two elimination and one qualification match. 9z should win against M80 who haven't really shown anything in their previous matches. Fnatic vs Apeks will be the most interesting match today. I think the maps will be Ancient, Anubis, and Inferno based on their recent pick and bans. Not sure about Anubis, but Fnatic should be stronger on Ancient and Inferno, so I'll bet on them. For 5yclone vs Imperial, I'm betting on 5cylone again. This should be closer than the odds suggest.

EPL Group C starts today! I will skip Navi as the odd is unattractive and sure they'll win comfortably. The rest of the matches look mostly one-sided too. I'll just bet on fnatic vs Imperial instead. All the favorites win their initial match-up as expected. I missed yesterday's games but happy to see that Navi and FaZe secured the playoffs spot and will face each other in the upper final games later in Sunday. As for today's matches, betting on the underdog just because we haven't seen any upsets yet

Another red day for majors and alts. It's really tough to hold crypto these days I'm afraid this major support on BTC and ETH won't hold much longer after consistently being tested since mid-August.
otherwise its just gonna be like this, i'd honestly expect things like this to happen until next year. after all it seems many institutional investors are hesitant, but i'm sure in next year things will change, currently market sentiment isn't strong enough to break higher, many are still reconsidering to invest.
Yeah until there's fresh money coming in I don't think we'll get any meaningful, sustained price increase.

With social media such as Reddit and Twitter gradually introducing their userbase to crypto the next hype trend could be SocialFi coins, do you suggest investing on those coins or too risky?
Not aware of any mainstream social media launching any kind of tokens. The only SocialFi project that has any traction whatsoever is friend.tech. It's very early and the bonding curve makes it like a ponzi, but I guess that's the main attraction for crypto community (aside from the airdrop promise). We'll see whether this project will survive in the next few months.

Another lackluster performance by Heroic. They lost against Monte again. It is a mistake for me to bet to them after losing to MOUZ. I thought it was just a fluke but after losing to Monte again, I think it is not time to bet for Heroic in this tournament. Something is wrong with them at the moment. Losing three BO3s in a row against lower tier team is a red flag. I hope they didn't change anyone before CS2. MOUZ is consistent though, they won their match against MIBR with an easy sweep.
MIBR almost had it in Vertigo but they didn't show up at all in Inferno. Congrats on the win!
I'm betting on MIBR again for today. Also excited to see how BIG will perform against a tier 1 team in peak form.

It seems friend.tech is picking up steam again. TVL reached another ATH and platform fee has been rising in the last few days after trending down consistently in the last week of August. This might not be a temporary hype as I thought it was. Now that we already have several point airdrop events, people are starting to figure out the factors contributing to points earning. Some folks on CT say these factors include portfolio value, trading activity, and referrals. Is anyone here still actively using it?

I'm not aware of any website/explorer that offers this kind of feature. If you can write SQL you can probably do this with Dune Analytics https://dune.com/. Otherwise, if you're willing to pay for it you can also submit a job bounty to get someone to work on your request.

Arbitrum is the market leader right now proven by its TVL, but I was surprised by Optimism development in recent months. We've seen several other L2s adopting the OP stack like Base and opBNB. I'm not sure whether it'll directly affect the $OP token or not (most likely not) but an interesting development regardless. As for other L2s which don't have tokens yet, I'm most excited for zkSync. The usage metrics for zkSync might be inflated now due to airdrop farmers' activity, but compared to other new L2s, e.g. Starknet, Linea, etc., it has the most hype and community support so far. but i wonder if polygon could actually be categorized L2 since its standalone blockchain, the gas fee isn't even using ethereum. but speaking from the perspective of investment polygon is just as good, but I always have this thinking that polygon is basically almost the same as BSC, will always be alternative for ethereum.
True. The Polygon PoS is more like a sidechain, but they are working on Polygon zkEVM which will be an L2 of Ethereum. This is already in mainnet beta phase and you can bridge some ETH assets there.

Previously i had MIBR map 1 but they got destroyed and now they are winning the next 2 maps Haha I was worried after the first map but they got it as expected Been having a good streak lately. I agree, i am loving to bet against heroic these days but I dont think mouz should give them any sort of issues whatsoever,
I think heroic -3.5 should be pretty safe bet on their map pick especially
Welp, what a lackluster performance from Heroic. This is uncharacteristic of them. Would they lose again tonight vs. Monte? Still decent odd on Monte for 3.51. I'm not skipping this time. Another thing, MOUZ was beaten by MIBR in the first round but now they are the heavy favorite after winning that Heroic game should be an easy +1.5 for MIBR at least.

Prior to this google had banned all cryptocurrency ads on their platform back in 2018. I wonder what makes the Google platform to change their views and make a new policy accepting NFT ads. Any thought?
They probably just want to generate more revenue by clarifying this NFT policy. Too bad it's probably two years late though, there's so much less NFT projects who can spend big money on advertising right now compared to two years ago during the peak bull run. And starting with NFT, google may again start accepting all sorts of crypto ads in the near future.
Legit exchanges & wallets, sure. But things like DeFi which has less regulation clarity won't get accepted by mainstream advertisers like Google anytime soon. Even traditional finance products and services have to comply with tons of policies, and some of the riskier products, e.g. binary options trading, are straight out not allowed.

As the title says, do you think Coinbase will launch its own coin/token for the Base network? If not, why? Considering that Coinbase is one of the world's largest crypto exchanges, it could directly compete with Binance's own Blockchain network dubbed "Binance Chain" (with BNB as its native token). The momentum is building for the Base chain, especially when it has the backing of the Optimism Foundation. If Coinbase doesn't launch its own token, it could lose the ability to collect fees from the network and profit from it. Maybe the reason for this is because they're afraid that the SEC might accuse them of launching an "unregistered security"? It would be nice to have an airdrop where early adopters of the platform get rewarded for testing it. What are your thoughts? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. The FAQ in the Base launch blog post states that they currently do not have plans to issue a new token. Does Coinbase have future plans for a native token on Base? We currently do not plan to issue a new network token. ETH will be our native gas token. Be aware that scammers may send fake Base tokens. Avoid interacting with them. However, it's worth noting that some major L2 chains, e.g. Arbitrum, initially had no intentions of launching a token, but we all witnessed how that turned out. Additionally, they mention a plan to "progressively decentralize the chain over time," a phrase often associated with the creation of chain governance powered by its native token. Given these hints, I'm slightly inclined to believe that we might see a $BASE token in the future.

Nice call! I missed yesterday matches and i probably would have bet monte so i got saved! The match was close actually so the odd was kinda deserved, but still a good win regardless. Okay i did not expect a clean win for heroic but 2-0 BIG Surely no one saw that coming lol Yeah, I'm sure it was a surprise for everyone. Heroic did play well decimating Rooster in the first stage so this BIG upset was totally unexpected. Props to BIG, they really played well, even outplayed and outsmarted Heroic players in some Ancient rounds. I guess they anti-stratting them quite well. For today's matches, I'm going to bet on some underdogs again, i.e. Rooster and MIBR. Not betting on Heroic vs. Mouz match cause I don't think Mouz can replicate what BIG did yesterday

ESL Pro League is about to kick off in around 30 minutes from now with Heroic vs Rooster and BIG vs Monte. This first match for their groups can be seen here on the official ESL youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=69ZHenWY-VEI'm pretty confused with the Big vs. Monte odd. Their odds are almost equal at 1.78 v 1.95 despite BIG winning a comfortable 2-0 against Monte in the CCT grand final last week. Or am I missing something? Anyway, I'm gonna bet on BIG hoping they can win again this time. As for Heroic vs. Roster, no question it's gonna be so one-sided
