As far as I know, the main hubs for bitcoin are in Africa are Accra, Lagos, Nairobi, Cape Town.
Below are the countries that do use bitcoin however I'm not aware of actual trades taking place - ie; trading bitcoin (or any Alt coin) at a restuarant for a meal or trading bitcoin (or any Alt coin) for clothing items.-

- Zimbabwe
- Botswana

The Narendra Modi government and India’s central bank have made it amply clear they aren’t comfortable with virtual currencies. The recent spike in bitcoin’s value, which attracted hordes of investors, has only made the government more vociferous in its criticism.
However, these announcements don’t make these virtual currencies, or trading in them, against the law.
So, their status is in a curious limbo—they’re neither legal nor illegal in India.

It all depends on what kind of wallet your bitcoin is in; if it is a hot wallet it is yours for that time being. However, if that specific wallet has to have a fall back and the app has to shut down then ALL your BTC or ETH goes with the app. If your BTC or ETH is a cold wallet then that is your property and will remain yours unless you choose to make an exchange or so forth.

A better version called bitcoin-cash has been excepted by BitPay as real currency.. so these coins are far cheaper than bitcoin and have more upside..so everyone is switching, it has not happened yet..but later on it will go through the roof. BCH(bitcoin-cash) ..
plus the main american exchange is starting trading bitcoin cash TODAY…COINBASE.
the coins are only about 3k and bitcoin is like 16k..so everyone wants a piece. as bitcoin goes down bitcoin-cash goes up.
