41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: My Ethereum transaction has been pending for over a month on: September 24, 2020, 08:29:59 AM
If your transaction is still in pending status you maybe able to cancel it in a very simple way go to transaction text then find the Nonce position in etherscan usually its at the bottom you can click to see more to show details once found the nonce position copy it and back to MEW and make a transaction by sending 0 eth to your own address using the same nonce position you copied in the pending transaction, you can see the nonce in edit advance settings in mew before sending.

I did exactly that with a stuck transaction that I sent from a nano ledger S and it worked fine  Smiley
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Stakenet (XSN) The KING of DEFI - Scaling solution for BTC and ETH on: August 20, 2020, 07:59:33 AM
There is already plenty of threads from the same people/bagholders shilling stakenet/XSN, there really isn't the need for yet another one.

Yes, it is promising but when it's the same members posting on a regular and frequent basis it will have the opposite effect and make folks wary.

Just my 2 cents.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [WRX] WazirX Speculation on: August 13, 2020, 07:29:10 AM
you can still buy cheap WRX

It's pumping today, up 30%  Shocked Smiley
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I stake my TRXs now? on: July 18, 2020, 11:13:11 AM
I would greatly appreciate all of your opinions here. Some of you said I should stake, while there’s a suggestion that I should lend, etc. I am still taking my time to decide whether I stake, lend or just stay as ease though.

I do have Ledger Nano S in my possession, so I can transfer TRXs here from Binance and stake it afterward. But yeah, who knows if TRX later on would be huge in the long run. I am not shorting TRXs though even if it dumps big time after the 2017 greatest pump. I’m gonna long it anyways.

I've been staking TRX on my ledger for months and have no intention of selling at current prices. The only downside is it appears if you hold TRX on a ledger you miss out on the monthly BTT airdrop
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin market speculation ?? on: July 05, 2020, 08:37:38 AM
precisely it the price of market can't prediction because we don't know what the next price and when it can rise again. no one can predict market prices in crypto and in the near future or a long time everything can change maybe in 6 hours will go down or up. sometimes many people predict but it doesn't happen according to what they say. this it is clear that market prices cannot be predicted.
As you said it is hard to predict what will happen and none can predict it. Everything is possible in the crypto-world, but when we realize that BTC starts increasing, altcoins will follow it. On the other hand, l don't think we can see something good about altcoins price. Some people predict, but we must make our own research instead of relying on somebody. l don't believe in any people here, most of them are a fraud.

Pretty much well said. The best rule of thumb is do A LOT of research before investing and try not to be influenced by bagholders shilling their respective coins.

A case in point is the small number of members shilling stakenet/XSN here in the speculation threads, yes it's a promising project but with a tiny market cap and daily amount of trading.

As many folk here have said investing in the top 10/20 or even 50 coins by marketcap is a relatively safe investment although obviously the smaller market cap coins have a greater risk/reward potential.

My personal investment strategy is to completely ignore and not invest in any project that has a lot of posts from a very small number of folk, just my 2 cents Smiley
46  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I wish there was an option to invest in multiple coins via one purchase on: July 04, 2020, 02:42:45 AM
Coinspot has an option to buy bundles of top 3/10 and 20 by market cap:

https://www.coinspot.com.au/bundles

I personally prefer to choose which coins I invest in myself as there are some in the top 20 that I regard as shitcoins  Grin
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TRX Unstaking via TronLink on: July 02, 2020, 07:54:35 PM
Has anybody ever unfrozen their TRX via TronLink?

My assets are currently frozen until Saturday, but the Unfreeze button appears to be available now. If I unfreeze now, will I still need to wait until Saturday to be able to transfer my TRX?

Or if I wait until Saturday, will I be able to unfreeze my TRX instantly?

I've seen reports stating that after unfreezing I need to wait 3 days before I can spend the TRX? But there seems to be conflicting information as to whether these 3 days include the 3 days the TRX are originally frozen for.

Non spammy help = merit.

It's my understanding that when you freeze TRX they remain frozen for 3 days after which time you can either unfreeze them and send them or simply leave them frozen.

Thats my experience storing TRX on a nano ledger s.

I've been able to send TRX straight after unfreezing them using ledger live so I would assume its the same using tronlink.

hope that helps Smiley

Once you click the unfreeze button, do they then become unfrozen instantly, allowing you to send them straight away.

Or is there another 3 day period enforced before you can send it?

Thanks for the help!

Nope,or at least not using ledger live.

When you unfreeze them you can send them pretty much straight away. There isn't any lockout period it just takes a few moments after unfreezing as it is the same as sending in so far as it's a transaction that needs to be confirmed (usually confirms in less than a minute).

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum Classic undervalued? on: June 13, 2020, 05:17:21 AM
I personally think that when ETH switches to POS that miners may well point their rigs at ETC and that in turn might push the price up.

I bought 20 ETC this week as at $9.50 AUD it seems relatively cheap as a long term investment Smiley
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbies take my advice on: June 11, 2020, 08:12:44 AM
According your explanation, it's not because of they getting loan to invest in altcoins... Buy they decided to invest when FOMO and not learn what they invest for. Knowledge is the most powerful while you want to start invest, you shouldn't only following the analysts prediction. Not all analysts is expert and know about cryptocurrency. Most of them is only shilling their project/service.

unfortunately it's a common theme that bagholders shill projects, especially if they bought at an ATH. Borrowing money to invest in crypto is a very risky gamble and potentially a disaster!

You've only got to look through the discussion and speculation threads to see the same names popping up trying to persuade people to invest in either dubious or low cap coins.

For example there are so many threads promoting blocknet by the same half dozen members when it has a daily trading volume of around $15K.

I would hazard a guess that they all invested a significant amount of money in the project and are desperate to recoup their losses by encouraging newbies to buy their buy orders.

Just my 2 cents Smiley
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [DEAD] Coiledcoin - yet another cryptocurrency, but with OP_EVAL! on: June 11, 2020, 01:55:07 AM
I'd forgotten about this thread and what an absolute douchebag Luck dash jnr was when the first few early alts started appearing, He was very vocal about the fact that hated any blockchain that wasn't bitcoin.

I posted on page 10 of this thread as I was pretty pissed off with his behaviour i.e. using his own pools miners to 51% attack the chain.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Some Alts for long run investment. on: June 05, 2020, 05:20:33 AM
My current portfolio consists of 25% BTC, 25% ETH and the other 50% pretty much equally divided between EOS,BNB,TRX,NEO,BAT,XTC,ETC,WRX and ADA.

BTC and ETH are both relatively safe investments but I personally think the ALTS I hold will potentially yield far greater profits
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your Biggest Crypto Regret? on: June 03, 2020, 08:12:58 AM
I was daft enough to sell 80 BTC at $2 AUD each on Trade hill and 18000 LTC for about $300 AUD I think in the same year (I mined LTC with a CPU on the day it launched).

Back in those days I never thought bitcoin or litecoin would ever go mainstream or that I could have been a multi millionare!

This year I've withdrawn a large amount from my pension fund and invested it in BTC,ETH,BNB,EOS,TRX,BAT,WRX,ADA,NEO and XTZ working on the assumption that at least a few of them will moon Smiley

I'll either get rich or broke Grin
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Finally!! EOS RAM and CPU Solution on: June 03, 2020, 02:05:30 AM
I've never had a problem sending EOS using Scatter and bloks.io

I use a nano ledger S and followed this tutorial:

55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANNOUNCE] New alternate cryptocurrency - Geist Geld on: May 23, 2020, 12:35:22 PM
Is GG only run on testnet? I see that testnet has more blocks than the 99 I am seeing on main net.

Mining was run from a cmd prompt, I honestly dont remember if it was a built in miner or a third party miner such as cgminer so I'm not sure how you'd check which chain you're mining.

I also doubt Geistgeld is worth anything these days as it launched around the same time as LTC and Solidcoin but never really took off
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BNB vs WRX on: May 23, 2020, 12:29:00 PM
I don't see many similarities here. The most important thing is that Wazirx is both known as Binance's subsidiary and there are still few traders there. I think CZ will not develop another exchange similar to Binance, which is too absurd. I think they need Wazirx because the laws in India are quite crypto-friendly and there are a lot of people there. they will develop OTC exchange soon in India and bring high profits, besides it cannot be a large exchange like Binance.
Both are different, and in general, these two exchanges support each other, so I believe that both will develop together in the near future.

I think in comparison, BNB is still a lot better because this coin is bought more by investors. Of course, WRX is a new option for coin-exchange lovers but should also be careful because Indian laws are very strict.

I just bit the bullet and bought 1000 WazirX. It could go either way and turn out to be a fantastic or terrible investment but its $200 AUD I can afford to lose Smiley

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coronavirus is ravaging a large portion of cryptocurrencies. Is this permanent? on: March 14, 2020, 11:34:27 AM
I think the market crashing is a combination of many things, corona virus, economic uncertainty, investors selling stocks/crypto to fiat and whales making profit off nervous traders emotions.

Personally I wish the whales would fuck off and be content with their millions and I also wish I'd stop doing nervous farts as they smell like cabbage Sad

Night Bob, I'm off to bed.

This person is a known scammer who owns multiple accounts all of which have been used to scam people on multiple occasions in the past.

Do not trade with him or you will lose your funds!

60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Investing in Alts instead of Bitcoin for far greater returns (or losses) on: February 07, 2020, 01:34:05 AM
There is a fine line between being a gambler and risking stuff and being an idiot. If you keep all your money on fiat or btc, you will do not bad, but you will not do INSANELY good neither, there will not be any 10x going on at all on your portfolio.

If you buy the 754th biggest coin which will definitely be a shit coin, you will have a chance to make 10x but at the same time have the same chance to go bankrupt as well, which is a very risky in between zone.

But, if you make a portfolio of the top 20, that means they are both good, but also have a chance to go up as well, that is why its both a decent level of risk but decent level of potential reward as well, I agree that buying the top 20 with exception of some bad ones in there would be the best idea.

Just an update on my portfolio, I sold my bitcoin holdings a few days ago and went 100% all in on Alts specifically Eth,BNB,ADA,NEO,EOS,TRX and BTT.

So far in the last few days my portfolio is up by a far greater percentage than if I'd just held BTC, so fingers crossed Alt season is finally upon us Smiley

I personally think I'm far more likely to make a decent profit from Alts at least in the short term, I'm not averse to selling them at a profit for BTC though.
