Hi  I'm hoping someone can help.  I placed a order with Bitmain and sent payment from Coinbase. From my end it looks like everything went ok but
Bitmain shows they did not receive payment and now the order shows it has expired.  Where did my Bitcoin go? I have ordered in the past and have had no problem.  I just hope I didn't lose 2K worth of Bitcoin.
Any advice would be appreciated.  Thanks

Send an email to Bitmain to fix the order status, it happened to my order also, don't worry he will ship your order.

This is the new Bitmain S2 price with coupon :

Don't have a coupon so my cost would be $400 more Angry

can we rename them; 'shake, rattle and bork'  Cheesy

Haven't had a single problem with the S2  and they don't ship with hearing protectors or asbestos gloves

~L)L~

Had mine for more than a week now, it's running perfectly, no problems at all, wish Bitmain drops the price on these, Spondoolies just reduced their to $2695 plus about $185 in shipping for mid june delivery for 1.4TH or about $2000/th, come bitmain we need to be in the $1600 range:)

and by the time it arrives, BTC could be back stable at $500... it never ceases to amaze me - the gaul of these companies, can't they just put a % mark up on the build price and just stick by it?

not doing themselves any favours by continually adjusting prices to match BTC price.

I agree, Bitmain is now more expensive than than SpondooliesTech's machine, disappointed with the pricing, was looking to buy couple more.

Bitmain took the S2 down from their website, https://bitmaintech.com/product.htm only the kit is available, something is cooking I guess.

Could someone post a video/audio of SP10 running so that we could hear the noise level please.

thank you

Where in NJ are you, would be interested in buying them from you, I am in Bergen County.

Hey everybody-

Just got my SP10 today and so did my Dad. Both of them work great and we had them up and running in just a few minutes. I also just upgraded the firmware. A little icon exclamation mark near the button "firmware upgrade" appeared, so I upgraded and it only took a few seconds.

One problem I'm having though. The noise. I really didn't think they would be that loud. These are truly meant for the data center and the build design should have clued me in on that when I saw it. My father is also a little perturbed about the noise level. So we are wondering. Can these be ran with the unit opened up and the enterprise fans turned off and use another type fan/blower to keep it cool? Has anyone done this? I know I should have known they were this loud from the design, but for in-home use it may be just a little too loud for me, and my father also. We both agreed we would sleep on it and make a decision soon on what to do. Has anyone here cooled an SP10 in any other way then using the stock enterprise fans? I really DO NOT want to sell it or be without it, but there is a limit to what I'm willing to do.

1. So, if we do decide not to keep our rigs does Spondoolies have anykind of return policy? I looked all over their website and couldn't find anything. I think this is the first thing I have ever purchased without knowing if it had a warranty and if it could be returned or not. I know this is a very touchy subject with companies, but both of them are in perfect working order and of course we'd pay for the shipping cost to send them back. I guess I should send an email to Spondoolie to from their website and ask there also. I don't know if they monitor this thread or not.

2. Me and my Dad both live in NJ. If we made the decision not keep our SP10's would anyone be interested in buying them? They are both already in NJ, so you wouldn't have to wait and could possibly have them up and running this weekend if we made the decision that quickly to sell them.

I myself would really love to keep it, but being that I live in a ranch style house there's really no where to place the unit without it being heard from every room. And then I need to keep the window air conditioner on 24/7 in there to keep the temps at a decent level. I only have a 6000 BTU window unit and that's running on high right now and the temperature in that room is 78 degrees. I'm just thinking ahead a little bit and wondering what kind of melt down I'm going to have when the temperature outside is 95. I

I know I really should have done a little more research, but I really got hung up on getting another miner. I still use and run my KNC Jupiter, which is in the same room...adding to the heat, but that unit run literally silent. I'm usually a more picky buyer and don't buy out of impulse, but what I really feel guilty about is I talked my Dad into buying one also. I told him it would be "noisier" then our KNC's but really didn't tell him it would sound like a Jet Plane. Smiley

I think the Spondoolie is built like a tank and works great. I just wish I had a data center rack somewhere to put it in. It wouldn't be cost effective to lease rack space, since it would cost more then what the miner would bring in. I did send an email to Spondoolie asking them these questions also. Maybe they can just host our SP10's if we are able to ship them back to them, who knows. I don't know how much it cost to lease rack space in a data center, but probably in NJ it is quite high. Maybe that's something else me and good ol' Dad can look into as well.

Well, thanks for listening and sorry for such a long winded post.

I just got my S2 but for some reason it's not hashing when I change the Pool Setting but When I reset the machine to original factory settings it starts hashing automatically with the factory pool settings, any idea why, I tried to set it up like the S1 but as soon as I change the pool setting it will not hash.

any help would be appreciated.

Figured it out, looks like all 3 pool settings need to be put in with the http: prefix.

Which is exactly why I asked the other two for screenshots Tongue Everyone thinks they put it in right, but different miners have different formating requirements.

Agreed. Also, looks like Bitmain sent me a 220V power plug, is it ok to use a standard computer power plug with this machine, on the cable it says UL 9vt e49100 60 deg C vw-1 3X18AWG, when I hold the cable and plug it's warm, it's drawing most likely around 10A.
Mine came with the crows foot plug as well.
Running with a 18ga cord not good idea. Max current for most 18ga cords is 10a which is why it is getting warm. Also means that to some extent the psu is not getting all your line can provide making the psu work harder/pull more current from the wall.

I got a couple of these 16ga cords from Mcmaster http://www.mcmaster.com/#71535K56 good for 13amps.

Thanx for the input, I had a 16ga 13A cord, changed it already.

Not sure on that, wasn't aware cables had a voltage rating? 10A is fine for one of those cables if they're rating 13A. It will be warm, but they're fine up to 60C.

sorry, should have been more clear, what I meant was Bitmain did not send me US 120V Plug, the power cord he sent me is a 220V plug, https://www.dropbox.com/s/lpudqeve8xpuffg/Photo%20May%2028%2C%208%2049%2056%20PM.jpg

I forgot to mention, but I got my BTC refund for 3 Neptunes on the 20th May, just hours before the price started to rise. KNC couldn't have chosen a better time.
Original purchase price for 3 was around 30400USD and I got 66.5BTC back at 457USD exchange rate.
With the current exchange rate that is almost $8000 ahead.

I am so glad I requested a refund Smiley

I got my refund around $431/btc, up more than $4400.00.

58  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech launches a new line of ASIC miners - Best W/GH/s ratio on: May 18, 2014, 09:24:43 PM
Just curious what kind of extension cord I need in US to operate this unit at 220V, is it NEMA L6-20 Locking at one end and IEC-60320 C13 at the other end.

59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: May 07, 2014, 01:02:33 PM
31 days after my Refund request Anna keep rolling the same " it will be transferred in few weeks" .

One month lies and BS.

Is it sure that the bank accounts of KNC are still not blocked by Swedish government?

Something start smell here. 1 Month for refund is really a lot, even for cheap bastards like KNC.

Just to remind you guys:

Don't send any Money to KNC. Don't buy any nonrefundable hardware from them.

KNC is SCAM NOW and they going to score Fraud of 2014. Hold on for Q5

You should ask refund in BTC, forget about bank wire and call them daily.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Swedish ASIC miner company kncminer.com on: May 06, 2014, 03:47:35 PM
Finally got my refund today in BTC, you got to call them daily and bug them, I requested refund about a month ago then about a week ago I emailed them a nasty email with threatening to file a complaint with Swedish Officials and demanded refund in BTC or bank wire which was the initial refund, they emailed me and said they would refund in BTC, that was about a week ago, I called them this morning again and went off on them and was told that the refund would happen today in BTC and it did, about $50 less than the original wire amount.

I am glad I got my money back and no more this Pre-Order BS stuff, I think KNC ruined their reputation and would never buy from them again.
