41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ★★★★★ [COIN] ★★★★★ traded at C-CEX for BTC and USD on: March 18, 2014, 12:47:45 PM
I have been thinking about it, and believe it would be good for us to be on minimum one exchange more.
c-cex is a good exchange, but more exchanges will give more exposure as well as securing possibility to trade COIN if an exchange is down for whatever reason.

Sites contacted today:

I will let you know when I have good news.  Wink

Good news! COIN was added to http://coinmarketcap.com

This is indeed good news. Thanks for sharing!

COIN is about community.
and you guys are not active at all (just handful of people are made some actions) and I need to say I'm really sad to see this kind of situation.
The dev itself is not as important as community is, and COIN depends on you. I'm here, active and responsive, and you need to be here as well.

COIN can't survive without your activity, your posts, your tweets, your engagement and your hashrate.
Protect your investment guys, be active part of COIN!

Hi coin-project!
Rest assured that the wheel has started rolling. Let me give you a status on my initiatives.

Yesterday:
- Contacted poloniex.com and asked to be considered for their exchange (No answer yet)
- Answered a thread on reddit in regards of COIN being excellent to solomine: http://www.reddit.com/r/altcoin/comments/1xax5t/what_can_i_solo_mine/

Today:
- Contacted coinwarz.com and asked them to add us. c-cex is unfortunately not on their list of exchanges, but I asked if it was possible anyway since our ticker can be found really easy: https://c-cex.com/t/coin-btc.json

If any of you guys have suggestions to sites where we can find miners, let me know, and I can try to contact them. Also feel free to contact them directly if you prefer that.

Let us have some action around here !  Smiley

But more exposure is definitelly good thing. There is another issue that can burry a crypto coin. It is too much premine. If a coin is mined solely by a small group of people for too long, it can be considered as a premine. It is exactly what we must avoid. Therefore we need more miners, good hashrate. To attract more miners we need better exposure to the community. Most miners wanna have a possibility to sell their coins on a big and famous exchange. In that context a payment for the exposure is not a bribe - it is an investement. Crypto world has its own rules. You can not release a coin and wait until it becomes another Bitcoin. You must promote your coin to the community. Competition is high as there are so many new cryptos released per day. If every COIN miner will invest some money to promote the project it will help the project to survive and achieve its goals.

Hi vilgem, thanks for the enthusiasm. I can see you also like COIN, and the community that are quietly building. However I would like you to respect coin-project and the rules he set out from the start. To start posting addresses for cryptorush and suggesting us to pay was in my opinion to rush it too much. Let us try instead to market this coin to mining sites and try to get more miners without a big amount of exchanges. We must focus on the roadmap coin-project has created.  Smiley

Coin-project! You definitely nedd to go to other exchanges! c-cex.com has very small amount of trading and a few users!
Which exchanges are the most popular among traders today? Can anyone help to negotiate IPO process? What are the requirements?

I have enjoyed that small time miners like myself can mine peacefully on COIN without the typical pattern when cryptos are usually launched. I dont understand how people seems to have "missed" this launch. For me it is the best!
However maybe it is time to expose it a bit more to the world? But why limit it to exchanges? Surely every shop would want to accept COIN on their site?  Wink

Hello coin-project,
First of all thanks for a great coin. I am a small time miner, but I have tried to mine quite a lot of different cryptocurrencies over the last months and I must admit I liked the humble launch of this project.
But more important everything works, and it works really good. Wallet is syncing almost instantly, transactions processed fast, and p2pool works like a dream. I will keep on mining, please keep up the good work on your side.

You have been talking about a roadmap recently. Is it ready yet? I am very interested in seeing it.  Smiley
