I wish the devs would wake up and answer our questions  Cheesy
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenfiveCoin ◘ Adaptive Scrypt-N ◘ MOBILE SMS 10-5 Relay on: March 15, 2014, 03:16:12 AM
Since the OP is away right now and launch is getting closer, I decided to post the block rewards that were decided on. No instamining.

 int64 static GetBlockValue(int nHeight, int64 nFees, uint256 prevHash)
 {
     int64 nSubsidy = 1 * COIN;
     // Pre-mine two percent
     if (nHeight == 1) nSubsidy = nPremineAmount * COIN;
     else if (nHeight <= 1050) { nSubsidy = 1.57079632679 * COIN; } /* 1050 */
     else if (nHeight <= 3150) { nSubsidy = 3.14159265358 * COIN; } /* 1050 * 3 */
     else if (nHeight <= 6300) { nSubsidy = 9.8596 * COIN; }        /* 1050 * 6 */
     else if (nHeight <= 9450) { nSubsidy = 19.7192 * COIN; }       /* 1050 * 9 */

pi?

 Shocked

First 1050 blocks are 1.57079632679 coins, then 3.14... etc

Also, here's the countdown timer:

http://countingdownto.com/countdown/tenfivecoin-launch-countdown-clock

Hmm this is interesting, so someone said this was called "flat rewards" or something in the channel. It looks strange to other coins

Is there a CPU mining guide available?

Also good to know scrypt-n uses LESS power, thanks for clearing up confusion.

24hours till launch

\o/

Exciting.

So I have a question about adaptive-n and how is it good for my GPU? Does it save power?

Does ten-five coin save power like other alt coins promise?

This is a self-moderated topic. If you do not want to be moderated by the person who started this topic, create a new topic.

if this thread is moderated then they so obviously are not editing out anyone's posts so why do you bother posting that?

 Huh

Okay, I have a little surprise.

I've been working on something new that I haven't even told the rest of the team about Smiley, thought it would be cool if they found out here hehe.

By now, we all know that 10-5 is a mobile-focused coin.
For me, however, mobile goes far beyond just phones.
I think that anything you take with you falls under the term, and especially wearable technology such as smart-watches.

So without further ado, I present you 10-5 on the Pebble smart-watch:

This is what happens with you receive 10-5 coins from someone:

The code is anonymous in nature, but if you've added someone to your address book, it'll show up like this:

This is really quite impressive, and it is really making all the people who were unsure about this project now eating their words.

Clearly 10-5 is going to be a hot topic around here.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenfiveCoin ◘ Adaptive Scrypt-N ◘ MOBILE SMS 10-5 Relay on: March 14, 2014, 10:48:54 AM
how come I don't see Taz and Walruse talking this amount of shit in the AUR thread.  Hello 50% premine.  go stand on your soap box in that thread too, your mission is to save the community from the horrors of a premine play fair and spam all the other coin threads also. nxt-lite has an IPO and a premine I expect to see you there soon.  oh yeah that's right your trolling here and have an obvious grudge against certain people and are taking it out on defrostrs coin ...

Aurora coin team didn't just scam a whole bunch of people and move on to a new coin like this one.

If that AUR is not the biggest pump and dump with a 50% premine then what is? Do we really think Iceland is getting a free paycheck at the end of the day? Heck even most non-premined coins, look at the new pi-coin or whatever. The thread doesn't specify there is a premise, but the dev just went ahead and pre mined without telling anyone. WTF

I feel with all the information and honesty being put out there we deserve to give this coin a fair chance.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenfiveCoin ◘ Adaptive Scrypt-N ◘ MOBILE SMS 10-5 Relay on: March 14, 2014, 10:25:08 AM
huh, scam?

If "2,100 Coins per-block for the first 1,048 blocks" how come you say that you just mine the first block?

Quote
Tenfive will be pre-mined 1% (105,000 Coins) - leaving a total supply of 10,395,000 coins for mining, this initial pre-mine is the very first block, no additional blocks will be mined.

Quote
Tenfive Coin has the following attributes:
Total Supply of 10,500,000 Coins
2,100 Coins per-block for the first 1,048 blocks
1,050 Coins per-block for the next 1,050 blocks
525 Coins per-block for the next 2,100 blocks
262.50 Coins per-block for the next 4,200 blocks
131.25 Coins per-block for the next 8,400 blocks
65.625 Coins per-block for the next 16,800 blocks
31.8125 Coins per-block for the next 33,600 blocks
16.40625 Coins per-block for the next 67,200 blocks
8.203125 Coins per-block for the next 45,312 (final) blocks

There are allot of chatlogs out there about the devs and their feelings and behavior towards people in the crypto community are quiet obvious.

I have plenty of chat logs of instances where the devs have handled my issues in a very personal and professional manner.

The devs here also being honest and keeping their names despite clearly a LOT of competitors in this thread -- all of them could have just as easily made fake accounts.

I would bet money on all of these guys, and I am backing this IPO because I believe in these guys talent and I have seen their work. We have all seen their work. And they deliver what they promise.

So far we have seen members from UNO, TIPs, KOI, and some people from Panda (but not wolong) so clearly we are dealing with real reputations from them. I would be more skeptical about this project if the devs were just unknown like 99% of the threads started in this forum.

Why are all of these members using their real handles when they could have all made new ones that no one would be wiser to?

I think this is a serious questions
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenfiveCoin ◘ Adaptive Scrypt-N ◘ MOBILE SMS 10-5 Relay on: March 14, 2014, 03:45:20 AM
Very high valuation of a coin to be held by handful of folks.

In addition too many folks from Pandacoin seem to be involved. So hard to convince folks about your intentions.

Buyer/Miner beware.

But from my understanding Pandacoin was a success up until Wolong dumped his shares crashing the market, and then as the devs struggled to put the pieces back together all of the blame was placed on them.

I actually don't understand why people are trying to make these guys out to be evil when I have read the thread, I have talked to people in the chat, and I actually did research on this project before investing. The people involved are all upstanding professional guys who have a lot of experience with coin projects.

I see even devs from TIPs are on their team. What about the lead dev, and the fact everyone is ignoring his posts?

Wolong dumped his shares after learning that Sevoque and Jacobux were dumping behind his back. Also, everybody knew from the start that Wolong is bad news but these guys still went along with him because they are greedy.

Why do they keep jumping around from coin to coin? Why have their previous coins failed so badly?

The lead dev has stated that he is in this to make himself a profit by selling his premine. This is not a currency, it is a get rich scheme for the Devs.

Read the thread from the start. The valuation of the IPO sales is a complete joke.

Ah, well you are wrong about JacobUX that is 100% sure. I have talked to him in pms many times and he even showed me his wallet with all of his coins a week after wolong dumped. So you can't argue that.

I am really surprised there hasn't been more action on this one  Undecided

considering as many people as there were that invested in PANDA

But this is not a scam.

1% is just too much  Angry 1% is just 1%, but 1% of 10.500.000 sounds really good of course "Ultimately, this coin has been created to act and provide a source of income to myself (yourself)" great idea, very original in 2007  Grin Good luck

I think 1% is fair for a new coin like this that has to have all these services built...

If these guys deliver half of what they are promising then we have a pretty big hit on our hands here.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TenfiveCoin ◘ Adaptive Scrypt-N ◘ MOBILE SMS 10-5 Relay on: March 14, 2014, 02:44:29 AM
+1 watching this

I learn a lot from all these threads on this forum to not listen to the negative people because even look at the dogecoin thread.

It just shows they are scared of the competition.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Death of Quark on: March 14, 2014, 01:59:06 AM
All I know is, if I had quark I'd be mining still. But, from my rather quick understanding, a 290 will get ~1.6MH/s mining quark. So, that's the equivalent of 500 r9 290's controlling the entire network. I'd bet there are farms out there with 250 or more r9 290's in one building!

But who pays ~$450 (500 r9290x250W/1K*.15/hr*24) to earn $112 bucks? How can you take a coin serious, if you can bring it to it's knees with $225,000 of hardware? (290@$450) Especially when that hardware is already out there at a much larger scale?

If anything, quark is highly overvalued considering the strength behind it. You say they support it, but I don't really see it.

Does anyone here mine quark? Mind showing off your equipment?

Quark's network is an issue - there is no denying it at this stage. However, this is in the process of being dealt with. The Quark Foundation has already completed a fundraiser to obtain money to start a Foundation mining pool (http://www.quarkfoundation.cc/projects/). This is planned to be coupled with an auto mining wallet tied to the Foundation Pool, which uses 5-10% of the cpu's processing power of the host computer to mine while the wallet is open. As Quark's adoption improves, there will be a higher average number of open wallets, leading to a higher hash rate. The Quark community is actively looking to remedy the issues - we are still only 7 months or so since it's inception.
Vic

Exactly, only 7 months... Was this not predicted?
