Got my second stake! Whoop  Grin

once the lost coins issue is sorted out we'll see this puppy fly!!! I was there from the beginning with FAC and trusted and waited through their lost coin also. Perhaps contact their dev and offer them some coin to help fix the problem?

Congratulations. I still waiting for my second stake. Not sure if I have the chance or not. I will wait and vote.

Yeah. I also don't receive my second stake. I wonder whether the distribution done or not.  Just added  votes while waiting.

Well, someone evidently didn't deserve second stake. Small dump happened at Bittrex. At this situation there is no point to try support rise price with high buy orders. They could be eaten up very fast.
I never even got my first stack. And anyway, I do not even know iaccepted or not.
If I did not go into COMMunity, I'll be sad, because so many opportunities pass by. As time goes by, but I'm still not adopted and do not know whether I passed at all. Besides, I am very surprised that people get 2M COMM, when others get nothing. I would, for example, didn't sell my 1M (if I had one). At the same time the one who got 2M, can unsparingly sell all their COMM. Where is the justice?

Acturally, the initial plan is to distribute 1bil COMM to 1000 BTT members.  However, not too much members paid their attention on COMM. The distribution process was slow:  about 230 within near 2 weeks. So the community decided to reduce the 1000 stakes into 500 in order to shorten the distribution phase. That's the story.

Right, but many ACTIVE members are not in 2nd round without reasons (me too) - i think that´s the prob

But í´ll give dev time and don´t troll Wink

Exactly, don't troll and just give dev a little more time. Distribution still in process. Let's wait for the final list.  Cheesy At the same time, we can focus on the multipool and voting. Do not just waiting.

Dear community: we have to report an incident to you. This morning one of our team members computer had a hard-drive failure, and as a conseuquence many files were lost in which it has one of our COMM coin depot wallet, with approximately 196.8 mil COMMs in it. Despite all efforts we are not able to recover the wallet, and unfortunately no backup was made for this wallet (while we made backups for other wallets, this one was somehow missed as it was created later than others).

This is the wallet:
http://www.coinexplorers.com/address/CKGK6MFmBkreG7k5sU8gDEJNVJ57QZtN3H

We are sorry about this incident, and we want to sincerely appologize to the community. Since the wallet (private key) was erased, it is like this amount of coins was never mined. So total available coins will be 800 mils instead of 1000 mils for COMM. This is a good thing in a sense, that it will enhance our existing coin value. We publish the wallet so that everyone can see that this amount (196780608.602771 COMMs) will be dead in that wallet, that no one has access to them. These coins will never be circulated in the market.

With the coin reserves left, we will distribute 2nd round distribution, as promised.

As a community, we are going strong, and with about 800 mil coins in circulation, we will have a better value of our coin!

So delivery will be done according to same route and whats left put bounty budged.

That's not as bad as it could be :-)

It would be good to hard-code this address in the wallet avoiding funds to be spent. They are already gone, but I'm pretty sure if we do not do it some people will start making accusations here. This action would only bring more transparency and make our coin stronger.

I hope to hear what others think about it.

P.S.: Just got the second share...

Adriano

Edit: mispelling

Oh dear... but this may not be a bad thing. Less coins, more values. As dev posted the wallet address, I am sure it is not them to steal the coins, it is just an accident. If these coins are gone, not a bad thing, not distributed yet anyway.

I don't doubt it was an honest accident but I fear for the reaction of others and how this reaction could affect the price and confidence in our coin... As these coins are gone for good, there is no problem in burning the address in the source code. This way if it was a scam (I'm not saying it is) not one node would relay the transaction nor accept a block where the transaction was included...

Only a couple lines of code and the trust is reestablished.

If at some point the wallet is recovered we will only need to decide what to do with the coins and remove the lock from the source.

Adriano

The coins got burned. Now it's only +800 million

So will the 2nd round distribution be done in a alphabet order. That is not a good thing since my id is starting with letter 'S'. Anyone knows?

Would it be a good idea to display the amount of connected workers and the hashrate of the multipool? Smiley

Definitely, both FAC and BC have this.  Grin

People look at this, there are not many (500 early adopters) that are mostly old members that already have seen a lot in cryptoworld and most of them will likely hold long also even buy more right now and later (I did so). Also soon there will be multipool that will drive the price higher very easily. So I think it is really pretty good opportunity to buy now as much as you can before the price explosion that will cover the sky around our crypto wild west.

i am quite old and active member too. Didn't get any comms yet.

I have no idea why, you should contact to dev.

quite weird if you ask me. even the shills here are getting their coins. A few pages back. A guy bragged how his shill accounts got coins

You need to be active here in the thread and work towards development of the community regularly to become a candidate for the stake. Just being a old member is not going to cut it.It's upto the dev's to decide and choose members who would work for COMM's progress and long term development and not just dump them.
Wish you all the best for receiving the stake.

As for the shill accounts . One or two mistakes could be made .The dev is human after all.
Some shills could have done a mighty good job to bypass the strict checks imposed by the dev but i think there would be very few such cases.

Overall the distribution system is fairest we have seen in the crypto community so far.

well, i decided to take a user named ysbysb2000 from the stakeholders list.

He never did post anything on here, and he is not even a active number of btctalk. Just an early adopter. so that means early adopters are bound to get their coins even if they are active or not??

This is only one username. I can give you a few more.

Why would an inactive member get coins?  The rules were pretty explicit.  I read them even though I don't qualify due to lack of posts.

dont know. I am curious myself. but the community doesn't answer a single question. Seems you're only accepted to community if you say good things  Roll Eyes
I really think Dev should not "only accepted to community if you say good things". I really hope Dev will "only accepted to community if you DO good things". But I have no idea why I am not in the second round list. I hold my coins all the time in my wallet. I keep voting on mintpal, bter and poll of 2014. I always promoting COMM to my friends and I has already persuaded some of my miner friends to come to COMM once the multipool is ready. Dev, could you tell me why I be removed from the second round list?

I guess the raw list in ecoiner only shows the people who posted on ecoiner. If you posted on the other 2 sites, you would be listed in a separate raw list.
I think you are right. I just got a PM message from  samysamy1. He said this list is not completed list. So guys, forget about this list, don't stop voting and promoting and donating. You will get what you should get. Go Go Go.

Hi  Smiley,

I need your help here. The wallet is up to date.

first, the coins in my wallet began to mine, but it stayed in 'unconfirmed' state with message 'Generated but not accepted'. There are several tx like this in my wallet. What does that mean?

second, I sent my coins out, but several days passed, it is still in zero confirmation and the coins never arrive. So should I keep waiting or is there way to roll back those coins into my wallet?
The detail txid can be found here.

I feel that splitting the game into too many sectors will make it easier for certain language 'rooms' to be dominated by individuals, removing real competition.

I like the choices you've made in the hours the game is 'open', particularly because I did stay up several days to hold onto my #1 slot before abandoning around thursday due to family concerns.

Would you consider leaving the game open to play, but with no cost/winnings, during the hours that it is currently 'closed'?

I think that wins have an advantage over airdrops, as it allows for a proof-of-work of sort in that a player has to dedicate time to earning the reward, just as a miner has to commit resources to solve a block.

If you do create this coin, I would reccommend setting the starting difficulty high, at least after your decided amount of premine.

Also, to prevent accusations of profiteering, keep all the premined coins in a central few wallets, so that the community can see that you truly are dedicating 50% or whatever towards ingame payouts via the blockchain. That will help to increase trust and keep this from being a pump and dump scamcoin.

Wow, I can't image you type so many word here. impressive!!! Cheesy Cheesy
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PRE-ANN] Citizencoin - 8 different block rewards / No block halving on: March 28, 2014, 02:55:12 PM
Yes, it is.... but as you can see the pre-mine amount is not 50% as it will be impossible to give away coins to the whole planet, as some people don't have laptops, etc.

It is more a statement that this coin want to create. It doesn't matter if you're black, white, brown or if you are muslim, christian, etc, it really doesn't matter, we are all citizens of the planet earth.

I've some visits planned to promote the coin in different countries, as giving away coin in the beginning will not really help as the value of the coin will be too low.

Yeah, I agree with you. I am a black man and your word is impressive. thanks man.

just another national coin

Not a National coin, anyone can mine, anyone can own. Just a political statement against a government that thinks it has the right to control money. This is the beauty of Bitcoin/Altcoins - it can not be controlled by governments, central banks or corporations.

It is really just another Altcoin though, aren't they all?

No thank you.

ETA?

Approximately 30 days. We still need the web based exchange platform, and block explorer. If we got those today we would launch tomorrow. If those are not feasible in the next month or so we have a contigency plan for the donation exchange we will use temporarily.

An early exchange would only promote dumping. I say launch before you have an exchange.

We literally just left dinner pondering the same concept. We like it, it's a likely possibility at this point. The plan is to get source/wallet/block explorer in line ASAP and have the Foundation be a second launch. Ideally we would have it ready shortly after launch and could "cherry-pick" the right time to open.

The added benefit of this possibly being two fold: 1) There will, presumably, be a significant increase in value surrounding the launch of the foundation, perhaps we spend a little of our seed money on a small push here? 2) The initial donation amount will likely be greater and/or we will have to wait less time for our first donation payout as we will immediately be trading at higher value and volume. Of course the overall donation amount would even out over time, but this could create a floodgate scenario(hopefully not just a massive dump!) and produce us some really great numbers to start.

Anyone have anymore thoughts on this?

I explain crypto every day too, but unfortunately, those people have no desire to learn or educate themselves. Instead, they wait till they see me again, asking foolish questions, while trying to pretend they understood me last time. Until it is as easy as swiping a credit card, nowhere in the world is crypto going to liberate anybody. The US is definetly the biggest player so far, if the charts on BitcoinCharts.com are acurate.

As for 1 in 4 Americans not knowing what earth revolves around, not true. I could say that 1 in 4 Americans don't know with direction the sun rises, because I had to tell someone just a few days ago.

Ahaha. You are humors. I like it. Grin Grin
