Evan is making closer to $500 USD / day

[...]

Such greed. Let them eat cake, right Evan?

I have no idea what's your issue. My rates for IT-consultancy are $800 / day, so what?

Did it take you 8 hours to instamine your degree and certifications? That's how long it took Evan to instamine his fraud stash and blame it on a bug.

No. Do you have a job?
Flare, it's not worth it. He's not playing in the same IQ weight class as you. Quit banging your head against the wall!

I know, I will continue to do something productive. Thanks for the hint Smiley

What's your point then? Besides being another shitbag scam defender.

And back to calling names. Do you ever expect someone to take you serious?

Next, what 's up with Otoh's masternode rewards? It's not enough he's a shitcoin manipulator he also need to cheat and get extra rewards?  Huh

Can you please go back to your playground? If you would have invested just 1 minute to look up the adresses in question, you would have noticed that these are accumulated rewards.

You never use this for real online, you download the webpage, and run it on a jumpdrive version of ubuntu (fresh install, try out, no install) and run it that way.  Never online Smiley

I don't think the online version records anything to database  Huh

Though i did not audit the code, it is supposed to run only in the browser. Nevertheless running it offline is the safest.

Better safe than sorry Smiley

I am noticing some darkcoin stuff on paperwallets.

http://paper.dashpay.io/
Logo on top of site is darkcoin.
On the paper wallet tab all the backgrounds are darkcoin.

Not to be confused with:
https://dashwallets.com/
At least they are leather wallets not impersonators.

If we can get the logos and backgrounds for the paper wallets updated, we have a fun way to use them in Miami.

I think it is as simple as updating the png pictures to(but you need a lot more 'artistacism' in you than me):
https://github.com/internetape/paperwallet

Thanks for the heads up, wanted to move the paper wallet to https://paper.dash.org anyway, and i think it's a good opportunity to update the look&feel to Dash as well.

Holger

Updated https://paper.dash.org

 - changed to Dash branding
 - enabled HTTPS/SSL
 - updated redirects from paper.darkcoin.io and paper.dashpay.io

Dash lead developer Evan Duffield explains two-tier network at laBITconf 2015 Mexico

https://coinreport.net/dash-lead-developer-evan-duffield-explains-two-tier-network-at-labitconf-2015-mexico/

Okay, thats pretty funny

Without further ado, here is Duffield's centralized speech

Maybe someone can contact author and have "centralized" replaced with "summarized" .... or maybe i'm just overthinking it.
I think it's a play on the sentence before: "decentralized...., decentralized...., decentralized...., and decentralized...." whereas the presententation by just one man is obviously centralized Smiley

yeah, yr probly right .. i'm overthinking it.
Maybe we should have a choir presenting in Miami  Grin

Wow just wow so Evan was planning a merger of SDC and DASH?

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1f7z840EcKjGNr7jZTwHL1u5HDTGNqHeeCszrR0Iy1J8/edit?pli=1

Yeah, we were at a early stage negotiating a merger to acquire more developer resources, but the proposal was leaked beforehand and both communities denied it.

We decided to call it off completely and solved the lack of resources differently.

One year later the team of Dash is larger than ever.

can you clarify what you meant by the bolded?

I think the references you quoted are already a good starting point to get an idea how both communities reacted back then: we had a shitstorm in both, DRK and SDC, threads and it was quite obvious that the majority of the communities was against the merger.

Looking back we were a bit naive, thinking we could merge communities like you merge git repos. Lesson learned, moved on.

I don't believe it was to show that Vertoe was shady...please reread what was posted as vertoe actually seemed to not like how the "Dash insiders" were operating hence he made several posts saying why he was not going to continue being involved in dash.

As i am one of the "Dash insiders": Do not expect to much.

Vertoe left because he did not agree with the vision/goal the team had for Darkcoin/Dash and he disliked the organizational structure the project team had back then. He made many code commits, did lots of work and came up with ideas for improvements - which did not get the attention he wanted to have. When he was left out on the discussion/decision on the Dash name change he was totally pissed and rage quitted. The rest is history.

I always respected his decision to leave the team and will continue to do so - though the style he chose to quit was inappropriate: He deleted work created by other volunteer team members, did some rant posts (the ones you are refering to) and finally passed his BCT account to others.

Some positive side effects: Some of his main critic points have been changed since then: The number of people who have admin access to github is >1 now and some (not all) of the centralized code (reference node) has been removed.

So.. i am looking forward what shady secrects will be revealed.

[...]

so what is the "big thing" vertoe is referring to? who are the fishy people vertoe mentioned?

You'll have to ask vertoe what he meant. I can only speculate that his perception about the "big thing" was the vision/goal of the Darkcoin project itself: create a new cryptocurrency which is superior to Bitcoin in different aspects. Add the usual get-rich-quick scheme to that and you have your big thing.

I am part of the team since 18 months now and none of the involved people i have met in real life are fishy - neither vertoe, nor otoh, nor eduffield, nor minotaur, nor balu, nor dutchn0mad. We are just a bunch of people having fun spending their free time on a community driven project. I can't see anything wrong with that.

so we just take your word? any proof?

i like your definition of the "big thing" which is..."get-rich-quick scheme" ....i'll derive other meaning to it..a scam..yeah scam it is  Cheesy

okay, none of them are fishy..make another speculation about this.

the things going on here are fishy, intransparent and rely on a single entity.

Proof for what? That I met all of them in real life? There are several photos of me and them flying around in this thread. Proof they are not fishy? How do you proof that you are not fishy by yourself? My current perception is that you are hostile and insulting to any other person not complying to your point of view. Proof me wrong.

With a strong confirmation bias like yours you can turn every argument in a way that it confirms your "scam theory" - same as for every conspiracy theory. Following your logic every crypto currency is a get-rich-quick scheme - even Bitcoin has this argument brought up by its opponents.

Like I wrote: Vertoe was unhappy with how decisions were made by the team, his feeling was that Evan as lead developer had a to strong weight and considered this being "single entity". He did not like it, took the appropriate actions and left. Love it, leave it or change it - that's how real life works.

For now I am waiting for the vertoe PMs to reveal my lack of knowledge of human nature and learn that my team members are shady scammers. Time will tell.

Good that vertoe was quite sophisticated and "revoked" his account by posting a signed message back then.

That "revocation" proves nothing.

Maybe the github and LTC wallet were hacked.

Maybe nothing was hacked, but vertoe wanted plausible deniability to protect herself from retaliation by the Evan's Gate cultists.

Maybe vertoe just did it all for the lulz.

Granted, there is no way to tell what happened - that's why i am waiting for the incriminating PMs.

So far the vertoe account is just ranting against GAW/Paycoin in a lexical style which is different from the real vertoe.

It looks to me like the original angle was to post with the hacked/bought account posing as vertoe, but there had to be a change of angle when it was revealed that vertoe's account had been hacked some time ago. The trolls' FUD plan was thrown into disarray!

DASH - the Original and Biggest Scam of all - I mean Paycoin was a $20,000,000 scam and these guys with Dash are cashing out "Interest" daily -- this will definitely top the Paycoin Scam

The account above was lost several months ago, ignore

https://github.com/vertoe/bitcointalk/blob/master/README.md

I am here to say that this is a purchased account - it has lots of incriminating PM's in it and I want to expose all of the individuals.  I am going to post a thread and then upload all of the PM's sent and received to allow people to judge for themselves who is a bad guy.

I would also ask people to help me in my crusade to not only expose SCAMS but to also STOP BULLY's  like SUCHMOON AND PAUL REVERE -

SCAMMERS AND BULLY's NEED TO BE EXPOSED AND PAY THE CONSEQUENCES FOR THEIR ACTIONS

Yours Truly,

- V1G1LANTE

Yep, same impression here. Good that vertoe was quite sophisticated and "revoked" his account by posting a signed message back then.

or the PMs are authentic at the time they were sent/received and confirmed by the MODs of this forum and ....god forbid it makes DASH's core "team" of insiders look even more shady...  Roll Eyes

Time will tell.

According to vertoes signed message his last post was on 2015-05-11. All PMs leaked so far are dated later:

I do not expect much shady material though, as i came to known him as a legit guy.

And now back to topic, this thread has completely derailed again...
