41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Sapphire GPU are poorly built? Or just not rugged on: August 18, 2021, 06:16:57 AM
Avoid used sapphire GPUs, I don't know how this GPUs are made but they die easily after few years , this have happened to me with GPUs like Vega 56, rx580s and 570s, stay away from sapphire cards
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Road to ROI on: August 16, 2021, 03:19:07 PM
The point is everyone is in rush to make some money back before bear market gets here, you could buy locally but it's uncertain that bear market won't be here anytime soon but if you are preparing for bear market it's better to buy out if the country for cheaper price, it won't matter which time the GPUs arrive since you are in for a long term mining
43  Economy / Economics / Re: Is Bitcoin losing its purpose? on: August 16, 2021, 02:54:17 PM
If BTC can't take over means of payment or Fiat well it's also here to eradicate poverty in the world, BTC as means of payment may never work but the asset form will never die, BTC today is 47K something that's not even been used as money yet, it's more like a gold than money mate and in fact many don't care at all using BTC for payment
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Will I be able to find non LHR 3060ti and 3070 in future? on: August 15, 2021, 05:36:42 PM
I thought nvidia made those lhr gpus impossible to unlock it! is it wrong?
Well as you can see it's becoming a reality, my prediction is 💯 lol it's only a matter of time before these LHR cards find a way out of their prisons   Grin  someone a Dev or something will have ways around it no matter what Nvidia do to them, years back in 2011 you can turn a Nvidia quadro GPU into a real gtx660ti or other through modded drivers anything is possible.
45  Economy / Economics / Re: "Crypto is no longer in the early adoption stage" on: August 15, 2021, 04:57:54 PM
For bitcoin, it can be a yes.

I agree to @myleschetty.

The crypto market is still quite young because of the new trends that are keep coming from it. We remember NFTs that they're there for years yet their time has come just this year.

And there are other things to come in the market as new.
NFT shouldn't be put aside with BTC, they are far different from eachother and I believe it's possible that NFT time can pass as well just as DeFI did in 2020 to me BTC will still be the last man standing
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 3070ti LHR unlocked on: August 15, 2021, 04:48:02 PM
5-7MH more? Sorry to say this isn't alot achievement but at least we are getting somewhere, I heard this cards are built with LHR in their silicon not the driver so it may actually take longer to find a way around this limitation, thanks for sharing
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / RX580s sweet offer from China on: August 14, 2021, 05:29:50 PM
I got an offer from GPU wholesaler in Guangzhou China today, it's rx580s at 250$ each and I want to buy 10 pieces for 2500$ this will give me 300MH at least, how is this not a good offer? What do you guys think?
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A very bad GPU 😡 on: August 14, 2021, 05:26:14 PM
gtx1660 not very good option for mining. get 1660s or 1660ti
You are damn wrong, I have a rig with only 1660, I will drop the Hashrate I'm getting with each cards

1. Galax 25MH @ 47watt ( Samsung )
2. Asus 1660  24.67MH @ 60 watt ( Samsung )
3. Gigabyte 25.6MH @ 54watt (hynix)
4. Zotac 26MH @ 57watt (hynix)
5. MSI 25MH @ 56 watt ( hynix )

Silicon lottery wins on that Galax GPU, really impressive  so I'm guessing that maxsun is just a victim of poor silicon lottery lol, I think OP should try hiveOS there are others using this GPU and their settings are available, just try them out one after the other
Dude its 2021 year 20-25 mhs not interesting anymore. it was interesting in 2016.
To you they aren't interesting anymore, for me it's about the returns as I got this cards at a very cheap price from China, I'm glad I invested money in them and that's 125MH mate, the same hashrate that you can get from a RTX3090, how is this not freaking interesting? And for the fact that I pay less for the GPUs?
Buying 1660 for 300$ is not cheap. 5 cards=1500$.For this money you can get just 1 rtx3080 and get same results with less cards just 1 card. I bought 10 rx 480 8g for 600$+34$ shipping this one i call cheap and it delivers more than 300mhs for 600 bucks. I told many times but people are blind and buying. Do you have plan for those beasts when 125mhs=1$-1.5$ a day? Personally i had experience with 1060 with crappy hynix memories in bear market and got vary disappointed sold them all and got rx instead.
3080 can only do 95MH @ 224watts
4x 1660 can do 100MH  @220watts
5x 1660 can do 125MH  @260-270watt

Bro just because a small card only do 24-25MH doesn't mean they are bad, combinations are better sometimes, RTX3080 is over 1500$ today so 5x 1660 for 1500$ still beats a RTX 3080
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: A very bad GPU 😡 on: August 14, 2021, 05:21:58 PM
Sigh! Can 3080 do 120MH?

3080 = 760 / 8 = 95mhs.

120 x 8 = 960, so, no.

3080 can do 105 max, even 100mhs 24/7 is not safe, that is extrapolating too much already from designed 95mhs, gddr6x is just crazy modified hot binned memory chip, 95 + 9.5/10% = 105mhs.

https://www.techpowerup.com/gpu-specs/geforce-rtx-3080.c3621

Want 24/7 safe mining? go for 3070 or 3060ti or even 6800, do not bother with gddr6x.
Kinda mistake I did when I got my rtx3070ti instead of going for 3070, now I'm stuck with a GPU that only works fairly with kawpow mining, the temp is 57°C and memory temp is 92°C 24/7 mining, wish I can turn back the ends of time lol
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH gas fee still high, London fork a failure? on: August 13, 2021, 06:28:54 PM
I think Ethereum is now a complete joke, I thought the London fork solve high gas fee but I was surprised that the lowest gas fee today is a bit over 5$ on etherscan @ 3200$ per ETH?

You are a completele joke becuase you do not educate yourself but "talking" nonsense.
Sorry vitalik buterin I just got lots of things on my mind that takes me away from relying on crypto through and through, it's not a crime to share thoughts and get positive answers on here, others give good answers but you are here talking about educating one's self, just share what you know and move on
51  Economy / Economics / Re: How to identify high-quality projects in the primary market? on: August 13, 2021, 05:13:42 PM
The best advice is always invest the little money you can afford to lose most especially if the project is a new altcoin, good promising looking projects can still turn scam as well, I don't trust influencers because no one hates money they get paid too so invest only what you can afford to lose
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help regarding RX 590 on: August 13, 2021, 04:52:21 PM
You dont need mod bios. Which miner are you using?
In phoenix just add this -cclock 1150 -cvddc 900 -mclock 2100 -mvdcc 900 -mt 1 -vmr 30 with this it should give 30mhs
Later you can downvolt more than 900mv test until it crashes also u can use -mt 2 later for faster.
I think teamred miner is better, through HiveOS you can use clock lock and get better performance with amdmemtweak settings, all available in the hive OS, you will also be able to use lesser watt power
Can't really switch to hiveOS because I'm running 3060s on the same rig using the nvidia windows 10 beta driver

One more question, what would you lower first to drop the temperature a bit with the least possible negative effect on hashrate?
I don't get, you can run both AMD and Nvidia in same rig on hiveOS as well, just use miners that support both AMD and Nvidia like NBminer, is your 3060 an LHR card maybe that's what you meant?

54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Does it make sense to spend this money on these GPUs? on: August 11, 2021, 11:17:41 AM
I have some orders I'm trying to complete and I want to know if they are worth it or there are other ways to get them cheaper

1. Icolorful gtx1660 super @ 429$ in bulk
2. RTX 3060 @ 800$
3. RTX 3060ti @ 1200$ Non LHR confirmed
4. GTX 1660 Ti @ 462$

Will be waiting for your replies

Of course not. Your ROI will be around 1 or 2 years for real per card. If you planning let it run for the next 4 years or so than you can buy cards for more than the double price. Wait for the bear market next year and start buying cards.

At the moment i get used 2060 Super or 2070 Super for around 350 - 400€. I think this is a better deal.
400Ģ to USD is 552$ and 2060 super only do 37 MH on ETH but gtx1660 super is 429$ and do 31-32MH on ETH, isn't all this the same thing? If you can buy a 2060 super for 552$ then you can buy 1660 super for 429$ the difference is just 5MH bro

Exactly 😌 even the gtx1660 supers cheap more than the 2060 super to me, another thing to consider is the amount of energy they both draw from socket, gtx1660super still do better here, they can do as low as 65 watt for 31 or 32 MH
55  Economy / Economics / Re: We exited the bear market earler than expected on: August 11, 2021, 10:18:56 AM
There is one thing that have changed in the history of crypto since 2009 and that's mass adoption, as we can see this year bull season is one of a kind very stronger than whatever we may have seen in the past, many predicts that the bull market is over judging from what happened in 2017 but instead the market is very much alive, this is a new milestone for BTC
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Important of Gen2 on gigabyte motherboard on: August 11, 2021, 09:25:36 AM
I just want to share my experience on here for people who might be new to crypto mining, I spent hours on trying to find what could be wrong with a motherboard day ago, if you are using a gigabyte motherboard or planning to don't waste time here are what I noticed will be a challenge for you

1. Without changing gen to gen 2 you will have problem

Imagine loading up windows and everything start acting weird once you connect more than on GPU on board, crashes and lagging here and there, the fix is gen 2 activation

2. You using a new model GPU like RTX series? They can start getting abnormally hot for no reason if you use the two pcie 16x slot which was meant for SLI/Crossfire, the fix is still the gen 2 and if you have 3070ti make sure another 3070ti goes into the second SLI/Crossfire slot, don't insert gtx card in one and RTX card in the other

This could sound weird as it was to me buy gen 2 solves my problem, mind you I have other motherboards that are presently mining with none of this issues, this is my first rodeo that's why I decide to share, who knows? Might help someone

I donīt understand why people change the pcie to gen1. This is not needed, in any case. You can always stay on the highest pcie generation. And this has nothing to do with gigabyte mainboard. You using an very old mainboard and that is the problem.
SLI is not supported by the rtx cards, so it donīt care what slot you are using.
You ain't seen nothing yet, I have a gigabyte motherboard that requires you to change settings in BIOS to gen 2 before the motherboard will function well, meaning you will be able to use other pcie x1 slots and the memory bandwidth will work better too, that's why I said you ain't seen yet, the gen that OP is talking about is not generation of CPU like i5 2nd gen or 3rd gen, he is refering to Gen in BIOS settings
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Hashrate lost on: August 10, 2021, 08:42:20 AM
You have nothing to worry about unless you are using a PPLNS pool which requires constant nonstop mining, so in time your hashrate will be completed but if you are mining in just few hours per day it's better to switch to a PPS pool, also before complaining make sure 24hrs have past and see your reward, im sure it will worth your time
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Bullish: 'Vast Majority' of Institutions Will Own Crypto by 2026: Fidelity on: August 10, 2021, 06:50:17 AM
Yes I believe this but there will be hard challenges, government will have to keep putting ban on crypto because it's really a threat to their CBDC honestly, china made the first move and I expect other countries to follow, it seems the gov won't like the insane attention that crypto is getting over CBDC but we wil see how this ends
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help confirm if this is LHR GPU or not on: August 10, 2021, 06:45:02 AM
It's known that non lhr 3060ti, 3070 and 3080 are and have been going to big farms with contracts with gpu manufactures and lhr gpus are going to newegg, microcenter and so on, do not expect to find non lhr on retail or online shops.
I got a gigabyte rtx3060 ti two days ago locally and guess what? It's non LHR mining at full 61MH per second on hiveOS as we speak so I'm confused when you said all non LHR cards are going to some bigger farm leaving small farm owners
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help confirm if this is LHR GPU or not on: August 09, 2021, 10:24:27 AM
I think this is LHR card, the normal hashrate from a rtx3070ti should be over 80MH and that betterhash isn't real because that 69MH will drop and time goes on, probably in few minutes, you can try installing driver 460 if it's a LHR card the driver won't detect your GPU
