41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coin.mx shutdown by federal government, top executives arrested on: August 03, 2015, 10:12:33 PM
That's why exchanges and other hosted  eWallets should not be where large amounts of coins should be parked, except when needed for trading.
42  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How would you introduce Bitcoin to your friends and family? on: August 03, 2015, 10:10:54 PM
My friends dont laugh at me nor do they agree bitcoin is this amazing thing. I just try to explain the benefits and potential of bitcoin. Just let them have their own opinion
43  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How Do You Earn Free Bitcoins? on: August 03, 2015, 09:59:22 PM
One of the best way to make BTC is to work for fiat then exchange the fiat for BTC Or work directly for btc (see services section).
44  Economy / Digital goods / Re: STARBUCKS GIGITAL CODE BULKS on: August 03, 2015, 09:56:31 PM
How many of these starbucks egift cards do you have?  Do they function like normal gift cards in that they are stackable and have no expiration?
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: Mass adoption? Seriously what would price be? on: August 03, 2015, 09:52:33 PM
Well technically anything can happen, but let us be realistic on here, there's tons of boat missers with big cash trying to get in BIG into the Bitcoin game.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mainstream Adoption on: August 03, 2015, 09:49:13 PM
I think that before mainstream adoption bitcoin needs to change, should become easier, simpler and safer to use.
If, for example, we can't explain bitcoin in five minutes to old users, they will not use it.
We also need good infrastructure, a lot bitcoin ATM around the world, bitcoin debit cards widely accepted in the world, a lot ''big'' merchants accepting bitcoin etc.
adoption is not a clear and easy path.  There will be corrections and bumps in the road but if the tech is solid, in time it will be adopted.  If anything, your example of the internet shows the potential of Bitcoin, not its demise.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How is bitcoin better than litecoin? on: August 03, 2015, 09:44:06 PM
Bitcoin is better than Litecoin because has great potential especially compared to generic clones, which most of alt coins are. more stable and supported by larger community
48  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Study: Most Americans suffer from ‘Digital Amnesia’ on: August 02, 2015, 11:08:04 PM
I don’t blame anyone these days ,You have to choose what you will focus your attention and memory on. dozens of cell phone numbers, passwords for half a dozen computers and dozens of websites.
49  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Boy, 12, opens fire on transgender woman in possible hate crime on: August 02, 2015, 10:48:39 PM
there is no reason to shoot at someone for simply living their fucking lives. I just don't understand how people can be so hateful about things that do not affect them in the slightest.
50  Economy / Economics / Re: Best way to turn 2BTC into 4BTC on: August 02, 2015, 10:26:24 PM
You can start giving out loans and charge 10-20% interest with collateral to people, even on these forums. That's a nice way to make some profit!

That can be one way to double your bitcoins.

I prefer Gambling, Gambling and Gambling, as I want to double it in a quick way, I would prefer to take a risk and even if I loose doesn't matter as I know that the day luck favors me, I can make it double or triple in a single day.
you can find a local to invest. Just make sure to avoid gambling your BTC it always ends badly.
The only way to move forward is to work hard and save. If you gamble, you're moving further backwards.
51  Economy / Economics / Re: What do you guess about he future of bitcoin? on: August 02, 2015, 10:08:41 PM
My vision for bitcoin has been, and always will be directed towards it implications as a viable currency. Too many people are looking at bitcoin as only "too good to be true capital gains," but they are completely missing the big picture...
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: Manipualtion and the future of Bitcoin - Poll on: August 02, 2015, 10:03:38 PM
The Bulls are picking up cheap BTC right now, the Bears are having a party from the BTC they shorted, and the pigs are in complete chaos, panic selling, panic buying, and digging a deeper and deeper hole. Every investment asset is subject to a certain amount of speculative forces.
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What about those bitcoins that are LOST? on: August 02, 2015, 09:48:40 PM
Is there a plan to reintegrate them?
No reason to do it.
But majority can change consensus rules any time.

Yes, lost coins are lost coins. Nothing you can do about it. Bitcoin is divisible to 8 places so there is plenty for everyone. Why we wouldn't be talking in satoshis term one day, not in Bitcoin terms. 1 satoshi can be worth $1 and everybody would be happy. Smiley

Because of this above, I don't think there will be consensus rules about changing the final supply. I wouldn't like that the total supply changes.

Now what will future bring us, that nobody knows!
Not outside the capabilities, but the majority of users would never agree to do it, and in order to change the bitcoin protocals, the majority of users (miners actually) have to agree to do it. They would not agree to this.
54  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: OpenBazaar - decentralized eBay on: August 02, 2015, 09:44:44 PM
Could anybody comment on how anonymous OpenBazaar transactions are. Are there any ways to anonymize interactions on OpenBazaar? Thank you
55  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: LEGIT CLOUDMINING SERVICE? on: August 02, 2015, 09:40:11 PM
My recommendation is take BTC instead of buying hashing power buy the coin right now while it's low. Don't spend the money on a "contract" that is meaningless and could be worthless the next day.
56  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM HODLING on: July 31, 2015, 11:49:35 PM
Hold!!! Bitcoin is investment with the big opportunity to see the kind of rewards that we have potential to see down the road is not often open to those of us with very little capital or cash funds to begin with.
57  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Prediction 2015 ฿ on: July 31, 2015, 11:44:04 PM
$350-400 range. I think BTC may move a bit to the upside, still I won't expect any big gains similar to these of 2013 and earlier. First a bit more of sideways trend awaits. Long and boring, but necessary to shake out some more weak hands.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Government & Bitcoin on: July 31, 2015, 11:40:50 PM
Bitcoins will be hard for them to stop without shutting down the entire internet. Should a government act against bitcoin, it would drive the price through the roof.
59  Economy / Economics / Re: I need bitcoin to be $690 to break even.....will I make it? on: July 31, 2015, 11:30:06 PM
I would just hold for a few more years and see where it goes, you can invest in some other Alts if you wanna try your luck, but best bet is to just hold and hope for the best.
60  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: July 31, 2015, 11:26:26 PM
Bitcoin, absolutely. Bitcoin will be the next payment system and will rise much more. Gold as payment system is old school idea but its important for industry.
