Hello!
I am trying to log into my account but i cannot log in.
After i finished enter all the log in details,it hangs up.
Also, when it is not hanging up,it will say captcha error.
Does anyone experienced this?

I am able to log in to bitsler right now. Did you already try to clear your cookies and history browser yet? Maybe it'll help you to access bitsler again. Or you can try to log in via incognito mode as well! And if both ways won't help you to fix the problem, please check your internet connection!

Good Luck!

Hello. I'm having to a problem on logging in my bitsler account, i can't open my account because the site is slow loading and the captcha is not appearing on my browser. I'm currently using google chrome and using an internet connection with 2mbps speed. I hope bitsler admin will see this, This is the first time i log in again after the maintenance, Thank you. I will made a further update once i try this method. i hope it fix my problem.

I had the same issue. You need to clear your cache, and reset your DNS cache and it should work. I was getting very crazy slow speeds but when I did that it was back to being super fast again. I think they switched hosts or something and the old host was cached to your old dns cache and when you reset your dns it loads the new IP with the new faster host.

This was most likely because of the recent issue/congestion on cloudflare.
So for people who does not know how to clear cache/dns just follow the instructions on the site below
For Windows, to clear your DNS cache: https://documentation.cpanel.net/display/CKB/How+To+Clear+Your+DNS+Cache
For Mac OS: https://help.dreamhost.com/hc/en-us/articles/214981288-Flushing-your-DNS-cache-in-Mac-OS-X-and-Linux

To clear browser cookies and cache:
You can use the shortuct ctrl+shift+delete or follow the instructions on this site http://www.zyxware.com/articles/3678/how-to-clear-cache-on-various-browsers-and-their-key-board-shortcuts

Cheers!

Have you had any experience with engaging gaming site operators to include an additional cryptocurrency to their set?

Yes, and adding a new currency to their platform will take alot of effort and convincing. Most gambling sites only add a currency that they are a part of (an investor, a partner), and some add it because of player's popular request.

The important thing when adding another currency beside Bitcoin(IMO) are its Market, Volume, Ease of use and implementation and user acceptance. A few questions to ask would be, 'will it benefit the site in the long run?', 'will it attract more new players?', 'is it easy to integrate with your current platform?' etc..

Nowadays, there are only a few github repo that are still maintained that has something to do with Provably Fair Bitcoin gambling. Most of the sites hire their own developers to code their site and the codes are usually kept in private. Most if not all repo you see on github are either defunct, abandoned, not maintained, clone or with backdoors. So be careful in using any of them.

Some examples:
https://github.com/RHavar/pevpot - provably fair lottery that is made by RHavar but is now defunct and not maintained.
https://github.com/Bitsino/BitsinoDice - another defunct site and abandoned project.
https://github.com/popmanhe/Node_Dice - another repo that has potential but is now abandoned

https://github.com/felinegambler/CryptoBlackJack - an infamous clone of blackjack script made by johny1976, **possible with backdoors**
https://github.com/felinegambler/CryptoDice - same as above and with **possible backdoors**

Special Mention:(Moneypot.com scripts)
https://github.com/untitled-dice/untitled-dice.github.io - is the famous dice template for Moneypot but is not maintained anymore and may not work with new api of MP.
https://github.com/Dexon95/bitsweeper - is also a script for Moneypot that was made by Dexon.

IMO, do not use any of the repos that you might find, just check them out, understand it, take ideas from it and build your own.If you can't code your own, your best bet is to hire someone to code it for you. But becareful when buying scripts or hiring someone. Learn from the recent scam of Bitbox where they sold ready made sites which has alot of bugs and eventually scamming their clients.

Cheers,

46  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: BTC.com Transaction Accelerator on: March 10, 2017, 03:16:20 PM
I recently tried this service, its true that viabtc accelerator is free but it hard to submit a transaction there as it is always full.
Anyway, i had a transaction that was stuck for 7 hours already with a tx fee of 0.0003. So the rest of the child tx from that also did not get confirmed. Since i was in need to get my tx confirmed already, i used their service and paid 10$! lol. But in all fairness to them, it did work, my tx got confirmed in less than 30 mins.

So my advice, if you get a stuck transaction and urgently need it to be confirmed, you can try viabtc first and if that doesn't work, and you are willing to pay the price, then use btc.com.

PS. i used a prepaid visa card that is loadable via bitcoins lol

IMO, as long as there is a chance for the site owner to run away with the investors money, then this idea is useless. No matter how much provably fairness strategy there is on a site, you will still have to trust the owner not to run with your investment. It the same with players as well, a 'provably fair' site does not literally mean its a trust-worthy site.

Overall, its still a good idea and adds a layer of protection from hackers, and investors will have the peace of mind that the owners are not cheating them by making fake whales. Of course, that statement is only true if you are 100% sure that the audit server and the owner are not colluding to cheat you. Maybe someday there will something like a 'trust less' investment.

hi

I know it is an old thread.

are there any new developments regarding this great idea?

thx

Basically: no.

Mainly because it doesn't really matter... When you're an investor you're at the mercy of the website, whatever you do.

If you don't trust the site, don't invest. Because they can just leave with your money whenever they want...

are you saying that I didnt understand the main posting by NLNico? or maybe you didnt understand

Nope you understood perfectly.
I'm saying that the whole idea is a bit useless, that's different.
And also saying that because it's a bit useless, the project will not really move.

If i understand correctly, this idea of this thread is to make it 'provably fair' for both players and investors. Investors don't have to worry about the site owner making fake accounts and winning.
On the other hand, you are also correct, If the owner of the site just decides to steal and run away with investors money, then there is nothing you can do about it. So in the end, investing would still mean you need to trust the owner of the site to not run with your money because no amount of provably fairness strategy can stop that.

Tournaments should be ready soon !
See ya

Hey there,

Just visited your site and it is looking good!

There is a security bug i found and im going to state it in public so your players will be aware of it.

On your Chat, on your websocket connection, you dont provide any kind of authentication when connecting to your chat. Therefor, anyone with some knowledge on websockets can easily connect and use someone else name and impersonate someone else.
Your websocket connection only uses this parameters to connect:
Code:
["adduser",{"username":"unibtc","color":"#410093"}]
So i can easily change the username to someone else and ill be connected as that person and chat as that person.

Will keep reviewing and will report if there is anything else i can find.

Cheers!

Minor bug:
Being able to create a game with negative rounds.
50  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitbox (gambling platform - www.bitbox.site) - SCAM - many users scammed on: March 08, 2017, 10:54:32 PM
Woah, I though something "fucked up" will happen with that site, the complaints started a bit ago. Did you ever even got the files? or they wanted to install it on their server because so no one can have the files?

The files are on their server in Germany.
Anyway there is not script (like php, mysql, etc), they say it use Java ... sockets .. too complicated.

Hmm..I have never heard a such site could be built on Java, but seems like it's true that you learn something new everyday.

Bitbox uses Apache-Coyote(Tomcat) not NGINX as their server which means its true that they uses Java as their backend, they uses .JSP (javaserver pages) which is similar .PHP or .ASP websites.

Tho i dont believe them that their site/games was made carefully and by a professional, i do believe the sites/codes where just built in a few days/weeks. Read my review of their site here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1794654.msg18099550#msg18099550

They also have tried to sell the same package last August 2016 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1581241.msg15876388

Sorry for the loss.

52  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⭐ Roulette, Dice, Crash - provably fair bitcoin gambling ⭐ on: March 07, 2017, 03:01:26 PM
In all fairness to OP, the package that bitbox offered is buggy and exploitable. Check my review here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1794654.msg18099550#msg18099550

Depending on what the terms are between bitbox and OP, if it is proven that the player exploited a bug from the software maker, there should at least be a compensation for the player, and the software make should be the one to handle the cost. It is not the player's fault nor the OP's fault in the first place, and OP should be glad that the exploit was found earlier. Consider the compensation as a bug bounty.

But then again, i dont see any terms or conditions on bitbox site so i can't tell.

Cheers,

53  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★★★ BitBox - Run your own BITCOIN GAMBLING SITE ★★★ on: March 07, 2017, 02:36:04 PM
Just my opinion upon checking the demos..

Below are my main concerns.

Provably Fairness:

On Dice game, the Server Hash is not shown anywhere to the players before spinning. Therefor the server can easily manipulate the outcome based on the 'client seed'.

For Crash game, the Server Hash can easily be manipulated by the server since the 'client seed' is already known and static for each round, the server can be coded to produce more 0 rounds. The server seed hash are also not related or 'chained' to each other. You could check how bustabit did theirs https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=922898.0

For Roulette, pretty much similar to Crash game, the server hashes are in no way 'chained', the client seed is generated by the server. So server can easily manipulate each round to produce lesser or more of each color.

There is little to no explanation either in regards to provably fairness of the games.

Exploits:

There are TWO big exploits i've found on both Crash game and Roulette game. And this exploit can clean anyone's bank since i will be able to know what will be the outcome of the current game, therefor i can bet accordingly and win.

Security:

All user info are stored in the user's browser as cookies. Even the password in 'plain text'. Anyone can be tricked to run a script to steal those information.

2FA Secrets are automatically generated for each user and is static. There is no way for the players to change this secret in case they feel like doing so.

Conclusion/Opinion:

The idea of you guys offering ready made casino/gambling package is a cool idea instead of selling them 1 by 1. But considering the things above, the games/package is in no way ready for production yet. This is just my opinion and consider it as a free advice.

Cheers!

Api Key is in the cookies(token). So yeah there should be an easier way to get the api key for non tech savvy players.

Anyway, its been awhile, good job having your site added to dicebot! Smiley

I have just tried to withdraw some btc from my account but it isn't working. It just keeps coming up with errors and I emailed Sam at SafeDice admin email only to suggest to try again and he put more coins in hot wallet.

but still not resolved. I transferred 3BTC to start off with initially and I waited for 22 confirmations before trying to move another 7BTC but it failed.

Can anyone clarify why I am not able to withdraw the BTC?! Thanks in advance.
how much are you trying to withdraw? Try with small amounts less than 1btc maybe and see if it still give errors.

57  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🌟🎲🌟 MoneyPot.com on: September 06, 2016, 05:10:54 PM
I just logged in to moneypot for the first time in months.

It showed me a "Two-Factor Reminder":

There are a few errors in it:

* It claims that only I can use my phone to generate 2FA codes. That's not true. Anyone with access to my phone can do it.

* "Only" has a capital "O" in the middle of a sentence.

* "Enable" is spelled wrongly.

* I think you mean "stress", not "stress out".

* "dont" is missing an apostrophe, as is "its".

It's also quite annoying not to allow people to disable the warning. Some people just don't want to use 2FA. You should allow them to disable the warning.

I click 'Enable 2fa', it shows me the QR code to scan, but before I can scan it, it pops up the "Two-Factor Reminder" on top of it. I click 'Enable 2fa' again, and the same thing happens. Could you stop nagging me about enabling it long enough for me to enable it? Thanks. Smiley

I actually agree on the popup. It is quite annoying at times. I haven't gotten a chance to address it yet but will change it so it sets a cookie and only reminds on each new session once.

I might be a little late on this as i'm busy with other things,  but i'd just like to comment that below is the full screenshot of the 2fa reminder. And below it you see a 'Don't Show' check box where in if you check it and close the message, it will no longer show for the current session.

And the wrong spelling and/or grammar was all me (before), sorry about that hehe  Cheesy

Having said this, please do direct all issues to Moneypot team and/or their new dev, CrazyCraig.

App owners do bet on their own sites, however they make up a very minor portion of the site volume.

Let me help in crunching down some simple number to help understand this.

Assuming that an app owner wager 100 bitcoin of volume in his 1 % house edge site, that gives him half of the house edge back to him as app owner

So 50 % of 1 % house edge * 100 bitcoins = 0.5 bitcoin

Assuming that there is no variance or anything at all, he will lose 1 bitcoin for every 100 bitcoins volume

Which means he lose approx 0.5 bitcoin every 100 bitcoin volume

In the end it will be the same as normal player betting on a 0.5 % house edge?

P.S : Is the share of app profit still 50 % of the house edge?

Your calculation is right. So basically, it is like losing 1 btc but you still are able to get back 50% of it which is 0.5btc back. However, i remember that it is not 50%. I remember there is one time i hear that it also factor in on the fee for campaign signatures and some other misc stuffs.

Yeah it seems my calculation is wrong, it cant be 50 % at all because the current system actually has a commission structure to moneypot for every wagered amount so it cant be that however assuming that it is then the numbers are actually correct , in the end it will be mostly the same

50%(last time i checked) of the Housed Edge goes to App owner, no deductions, fees(except when withdrawing, miner fees).. The other 50% is then split 20-30(last time i checked) between Moneypot & Investor.

Just a little update:

I went to bed last night while db was restoring, and woke up today, it is still on-goin, it is now on the bet history part at 06-09-2016 (timestamp) and around 260M betid.. MP had about 340M bets, this mean less than 80M bet records to go.

As for people that might be asking regarding balances and/or db records getting corrupt, I have backed up the database before move, so if the worst case scenario happens, database will still have what it had before maintenance. And as for the balances, as i've stated in the past, most of the balances are stored on a remote cold multi-sig wallet which can be seen here https://blockchain.info/address/3PnPzfEajzbVwiwHrwb4sSFU6TWTz8C4oT while the rest are either on the 'warm' multi-sig wallet and/or at our site's hot wallet.

Thank you
