41  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Post your experience with Namecheap Bitcoin Payment - March Coupon here! on: September 18, 2016, 02:28:34 PM
I tried namecheap  before a year to buy a dot com domain and paid $9.99 through Bitcoins. The domain came with a free whois guard protection.

About the payment, no problem at all. I'd definitely recommend Namecheap because of their amazing 24*7 chat support and also because you'll have no problems paying with Bitcoins and they are the #1 domain reselling company in my opinion.
42  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to tell your Girlfirend about BitcoiN?? on: September 18, 2016, 02:19:00 PM
Firstly, show her shopping websites which provide discounts when you buy anything with Bitcoin. This is to make sure she gets interested.
Then, send her small amount of coins.
Then, explain the technology behind Bitcoin.
Done! Smiley

43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What wallets do you use and why? on: September 18, 2016, 02:10:51 PM
Multibit HD for desktop.. Because this is the first wallet I ever downloaded (after Bitcoin core) and used. Didn't use bitcoin core because my internet bandwidth wasn't good enough to sync with the entire blockchain.

I used mycelium for android once and It was really good. However, I use blockchain right now and I think it's time to switch back to mycelium again Smiley
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: A slogan for an altcoin on: September 16, 2016, 12:36:47 PM
"Because it's fun to help."
or
"Because helping is fun"

I think this sounds better Cheesy

Edit: added another slogan Cheesy
45  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Can I mine Bitcoin with my Phone on: September 16, 2016, 12:29:18 PM
As others have already stated, it's no longer profitable to mine bitcoins with a computer with very good specs and GPU, let alone a smartphone. You'll need ASIC miners if you really expect to make money and chances are even if you use ASIC miners, you'd still be in loss if you have to pay for electricity.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Hypothetical question on: September 12, 2016, 01:16:51 PM
If they all crash and lost their copy and nothing remains, then Bitcoin is gone for good. Cheesy

coinfunder.com
btc-funding.com

And in case you didn't know, there is an altcoin called startcoin made especially for crowdfunding.. Link -> https://startcoin.org/

52  Economy / Gambling / Re: SPORTSBET.IO - Place where you can bet with bitcoins on: August 09, 2016, 03:39:14 AM
Registered yesterday and deposited some BTC and placed a bet and won  Grin Grin

But, why does deposit require 5 confirmations? 2 or 3 confirmations would be enough in my opinion unless someone is depositing 10,000 BTC.
53  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rio 2016 overall prediction and discussion on: August 09, 2016, 02:39:23 AM

55  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is there any bot that collects the faucet and gambles for you? on: August 08, 2016, 02:26:37 AM
If someone could design such a bot, I’m pretty sure that you could put it to better use than to collect money from a faucet and then gambling it.

Designing such bots might not be hard at all. As I mentioned earlier, there are websites that solve 1000 captchas for you just for $1. You can use their API to solve captchas. And I can't think of any good use of solving captchas automatically(except in cases like Jdownloader's). Solving captchas automatically only brings more spam 99% of the time.
56  Economy / Speculation / Re: Value of Bitcoin at end of 2016, beginning of 2017 ::: Predictions? on: August 08, 2016, 02:17:41 AM
I'd probably say somewhere around $800 or more. However, I'd say bitcoin would reach $1000 somewhere in the middle of 2017.

58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Halving event: expectation vs. reality on: August 07, 2016, 01:13:35 PM
I never expected a significant increase in price and I am expecting the 'significant increase' in the next 6-12 months. So, I'm not disappointed and not happy. More like 'neutral'.

Exactly how I feel, it's in a few hours but I'm rather interested what will happen, it probably won't affect me that much but I'm still interested in what will happen. I don't personally believe that something BIG or rather greatly significant will happen, maybe in a few weeks but, huh, what do i know. :d

In a few hours?  Huh Huh Huh
If you're talking about the halving, it already happened a few weeks back.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling loopholes on: August 07, 2016, 12:52:43 PM
For sports betting, match-fixing is the loophole. However, the system rarely looses and it's not the system you will be cheating if you bet on fixed matches but you cheat on players similar to you.

For dice sites, there are no weakness but you might find an exploit which could make you win every time by allowing you to calculate the outcome of the next bet(thats how robinhood scammed primedice). But you should have knowledge of how things work.

Betting on sports by analyzing the past results might provide you with a small edge but if you choose the stronger team, the odds will always be low. So, that doesn't make much difference in my opinion
