I think we should work on and fix Whitecoin and add features to it. If people don't want to buy WC in the first place I don't see why people would wanna buy a spin off coin.

I mined 750k Karma. 500k dissapeared and I only got paid out for the 250k karma... I would like to know what is going on. That was an error in the reporting system, for some reason convertable balances were showing on the old block rewards. So while you really did only mine the lower amount, it was reporting that on the multipools with the previous block reward amount (karm recently switched over). We apologize for any confusion on that front. You can verify what happened by looking in the karm block explorer on the blocks we mined. Thanks for the heads up. |

hmmm. Not sure about that announcement. I am pro whitecoin but we need to be careful about the PR side of it. The market didn't seem to think that was big news  (although yes it was important news), this will give future announcements less weight in future. A 'buy now big news coming' is a whiteout whitepaper or something of that nature. Something the market will consider big news. This is a step in the correct direction and above and beyond what most coins are doing.... but we need to appeal to the crowd. Thinking or even knowing we know better is not enough. We need their support and interest. Give them what they want. WHITEOUT - anon is all the rage right now. I love the prices like this cause my miner keeps adding to my WC wallet in bundles  Yes anon, void and other developments are critical and fully in discussions with Dev team atm with (mindfox - CTO WhiteCoin Foundation, Oizopower - Operations WhiteCoin Foundation etc.) as we are all volunteers it will take some time but we are moving forward with these items carefully, especially considering the complications that anon presents technically. Becoming a registered foundation is important, not the "wiz bang boom" that most day traders like to feed off of but for someone like myself whom invests in the longterm viability of the community/coin, it makes me quite happy. We need to act on these things though not just discuss Sorry to break it to you but none of these features will be implemented. We have to face the fact we all got fucked over. Don't worry by the time anyone gets around to implementing whiteout or any of the other features WC will be long gone. Still waiting on that updated wallet with the new logo and that big facelift.... Less than 3 Bitcoins until 0 satoshi on mintpal. But hey we registered as a foundation in Canada!  |

So there have been some really good ideas on here about WC and how this coin could be implemented better and gain more acceptance etc.
yet the foundation sit by talking about registering as a foundation, holding logo comps and basically doing not a whole lot to add any value to this coin.
Wait until another coin takes the void idea that has been suggested here and watch it rocket. We will be crying on the sidelines - again (anon anyone?)
I've been in since the start, gone through it all but gosh, this coin and the "foundation" are starting to test my patience.
Happy to eat my words if there is something major in the works but I'm sick of the fluff. I want to see some actual innovation and development on the coin.

It looks like we have sparked someones interest on Mintpal. 12BTC of buy support just appeared out of nowhere. It will be interesting to see where this goes.

If timed right I do beleive Ownski is on to something here with the coin reduction.
As for the ads I will donate a few neteller $'s to get the campaigns started. Last I checked I struggled to find subreddits associated to crypto currency that had openings for ads but for sure the Facebook is a no brainer and I am sure pretty easy to target in.
I would have a combined release of the Whiteout feature and the coin reduction (Bigger effect) . They would go hand in hand with the block chain having to be modified. Naturally advertising would follow shortly after/during the release. Since we would have two big updates to the coin, it would give us something to advertise. If the stars align then our community would grow as a result thereof and we will see the fruit of our labors. A+B=C |

Coin reduction is more of a psychological affect. People value something that there is less of with a higher value regardless. This is human nature regardless of the market cap. That's why artificial scarcity exists, look at diamonds and gold

Here are some ideas that could attract more investors and the reasoning behind it. I'll call it Ownskis Expeto Auctus - Reduction to 3 Million Market Cap (100 to 1 ratio) This will create less coins but increase the value and scarcity which investors like (DRK,CINNI,etc) So if you have 1,000WC right now it would become 10WC. This would also increase the price to reflect that (130sat=13,000sat)
- Website facelift The current websites need a major facelift. The WCF foundation index page looks like a clown show, no theme or consistency (very bad) I would recommend using some of the WCF BTC funds to pay for a professional to redo it. It would be money very well spent.
- Facebook/Twitter/Reddit Marketing This would also require BTC funds from the WCF bank but would be a nescassary expense to help build up the community. Daily advertising could be bought for a mere $5 a day for each venue. I use social media marketing for my business and it is very successful. I can't stress it enough.
- Whiteout Anon feature This is a good idea but should be carefully implemented. Whitecoin took its biggest hits when the block chain forked and/or had security problems. If it can be professionally integrated and tested before release, it could be the holy grail for the community.

This coin is hemorrhaging, I would like to come here with some type of good news or supportive attitude but I don't see it. The market is dead, the volume for the last day or two has been from everyone dumping WC. The multi pool has been barely keeping it a float.
We have no direction. I feel that by creating the WCF and making this into a "community coin" we shot ourselves in the foot when we really needed someone with a clear vision to take this coin. Instead we got a giant circle jerk where everyone pats themselves on the back and nothing ever gets done. If you asked me where I see us in a week, I honestly couldn't tell you but It doesn't look good. Some may call me negative but this is reality. Time to wake up. Time to consider cutting losses.
I walk the neutral line, you have to when you are in this field. You have to balance the good and bad and make decisions/changes based on them. Most of you wont like what I have to say but you have to face the facts. I respect mogonzo and everyone else who has done a great job with this coin but I will leave you with this quote,

If you didn't notice, the posts before yours were in discussion of a potentially game changing development. Lots of great thoughts and ideas coming from the community. Rather than offering your views and insight on this topic, you chose to make yourself feel better by writing a post to justify your feelings about the short term market fluctuations.
