Thanks guys, I've learned a lot from your replies.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many ways are there to earn bitcoins? on: April 15, 2017, 07:41:28 PM
Recently, I've been trading bitcoins on btc-e, earning only a little, yes, very little, except the fees that btc-e takes.

Besides trading, are there any good method to earn bitcoins?   Thanks.

there are many ways to earn bitcoins, some are thru faucets, some are thur mining if you have your own pc and have a good specs , mining is very good for you. you may also try gambling and trading too. Thats fun.

The budget for a mining pc is not low nowadays, meanwhile the electricity bill is high, maybe higher than mining earnings. Cry

You can earn Bitcoins the same way as you earn fiat money.

Just get paid in Bitcoins instead.  Wink

That's probably what I thought, more over, all fiat money can be exchanged to bitcoin.

2009 1 Ƀ = 0.0001 USD
2010 1 Ƀ = 0.07 USD
2011 1 Ƀ = 15 USD
2012 1 Ƀ = 7 USD
2013 1 Ƀ = 100 USD
2014 1 Ƀ = 600 USD
2015 1 Ƀ = 220 USD
2016 1 Ƀ = 1100 USD
2017 1 Ƀ = 1280 USD

From 0 to $1280, it took only 7 years, so I do believe that it could be $500,000 (prediction from Jeremy Liew & Peter Smith) by the year 2030.  Grin Grin Grin

If for 2013 we put 1200$ (November) instead of 100$ (spring), this would look a bit different:

2013 1 Ƀ = 1200 USD
2014 1 Ƀ = 600 USD
2015 1 Ƀ = 220 USD
2016 1 Ƀ = 1100 USD
2017 1 Ƀ = 1280 USD

Conclusion could be: "It doesn't seem that BTC price could reach 1500$ in next few years, as it couldn't achieve that in last 4 years." Just the matter of interpretation Wink

I guess it may reach 1500$ within 2017.

I am here not for very long time, and I see that all topics regarding earning bitcoins are very hot, people love disusing earning bitcoins.

I am confused. As a human being, we all know how to make money.

Isn't bitcoin Money?

If bitcoin is Money, then the ways to make money are the ways to earn bitcoin, isn't it?

In a word, there are only two ways to make money/bitcoin, legal and illegal. Wink

I do love this saying, "In a word, Bitcoin is MONEY".

Bitcoin is a currency but it is not money. In order for bitcoin to be considered money the state must recognized it as a legal tender but until now there are no declaration of bitcoin as a legal tender or an official medium of exchange and thus it can never be considered as a money. Though there are countries that have adopted bitcoin but they treat bitcoin as a commodity with a value that is a feasible form of payment.

Isn't currency money?  For me, USD is a currency, HKD is a currency, and both HKD and USD are MONEY.

No, currency is different from money. Money stores intrinsic value within itself, fiat currency possesses buying power bestowed upon it by the government. Meaning a USD bill does not have a real value, it is only a piece of paper with writings and drawings, it only has a value because the government says so.

Hmm, then why gold still has its own value without a government says so?

Are the bad miners handling only those transactions with high fees?

I have one more concern too:

Can bitcoin really protect our wealth?  Will there be one day that bitcoin is as trusted (or even more) as gold?

I KEEP it in Electrum wallet and coinbase.

there are many but the most profitable are, signature, mining and trading, signature now do a lot, can earn 0.03 per week, trading is risky and dangerous and i have not enough experience with it, and mining it's the best one and the most profitable, you can earn
Why waste your life noodling around to earn piddling amounts? Earn USD,EUR, GBP or whatever and buy it. There are approximately 1 trillion more ways to end up with more Bitcoin via that method. Uncool but true.
I will appreciate if you can explain how to earn with signature to me as I am new to bitcoin world and really want to learn

Signature campaign is the reason why we are earning bitcoin here in this forum, we are wearing their signatures and we are going to promote it by posting in the thread where we could post it, because there are some threads that they are prohibiting us to post. You could also read this thread for more information.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1684035.0

And you might want to ranked up first your account, because the higher the rank, the higher the salary we could get every week, or every month, depends on the campaign.

Yes, signature campaign is one of the best way to earn bitcoins so far. You can earn much money than faucets. Actually there are many ways to earn bitcoins, but i recommend signature campaign and social media campaign. AicecreaME already explain about signcamp and now i explain about social media campaign. If you have twitter and facebook that have many followers/friends you can use it to earn bitcoins. Go to service section and find a twitter/facebook campaign and there is a step how to join and the rates too.

And this Facebook and twitter bounties are most usually in the Altcoin Campaigns and sometimes, we could earn even more bitcoin here than we could earn in a Bitcoin Signature Campaign like in Edgeless, those who participated on their campaign could get 2-3 bitcoin, I don't know the exact amount but it is really big, though this just happens when their ICO is successful and they've collected many bitcoin and tokens.

Altcoin campaigns seems to be risky as you never know what will be the price of altcoin once its listed on exchange sites and many of those coins are scam coins in which only devs will make profits so in that case you will feel that you have been cheated and didn't get paid for the hard work you did for them.
0.1 per week with a rig, which is very good

Sigature campaign is one of top earning in Bitcoin  but in many ways people have different strategy  others is good in gambling and trading while others in signature campaign like me .
and the good thing if you have social media accounts they useful in campaign just check it out in services and find social media campaign

A person who is looking for safe income will always prefer signature campaign as it will give him fixed income and even he don't have to invest any capital into it and people who are risk takers will prefer to go for trading and gambling.

Yeah, it is safe income, but the paying rate of sig campaign is usually very low.

How many ways are there to earn bitcoins?

Two,

Legal & Illegal.   Cheesy

 Cool

Maybe there's a 3rd way between legal and illegal.  Grin
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I can't use bitcoin buying a coffee now. on: April 11, 2017, 02:38:50 PM
You can always use other coins like Doge for that kind of stuff. You can use bitwala to pay for stuff in doge, dash, litecoin etc. See

https://www.bitwala.io/card/

https://www.bitwala.io/bitwala-sepa-transfers-with-ether-litecoin-dash/

The point is that other coins like doge or litecoin is much less popular than bitcoin.  The coffee shop does  not accept doge and litecoin.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / I can't use bitcoin buying a coffee now. on: April 11, 2017, 02:17:17 PM
I used to buy a coffee from time to time with bitcoin.
But I can't use bitcoin buying a coffee now, because the fee is so high, if I keep 0.0001 fee like before, it would take days for the transaction to get confirmed, I've got a transaction which took 11 days to get the 1st confirmation last month.
It's not cost-effective any more to buy (I mean both online and buying face to face) thing via bitcoin. And this is why I quit buy coffee with bitcoin.

One and best way of earning bitcoin is to hold and collect while price is quite low and then sell it after when bitcoin price reaches your target. This may be the safest one. Aside from it is to create local business using bitcoin as primary payment option then rotate bitcoin to fiat and vise versa

Holding bitcoins for a profit is what most of us do. But the payment gateway part for your own local businesses is not so appreciated by many government's. They just say "transact in Bitcoins at your own risk.. " so it'll not be preferable.
It's better to convert a part of your savings into Bitcoin and hold them for a long time.

Holding is a good way when price is increasing, but what if the price is going down? You'll lose money though the BTC amount is same.

Have you ever been scammed? And what will you do if your bitcoin get scammed?

Few years ago, it seemed to be the beginning of 2013, I did not remember clearly, I've ever been scammed for nearly 20 BTC, I funded a gambling site, my account got frozen without any reason few hours after I funded.

I could do nothing except crying.
Most of us here already experienced it. Not only scam in investment  site  but even trying to trade  it peer to peer that's why we need to be wise enough to protect our money from those scammer just want to have easy money.

Trading peer to peer? Did you mean somewhere like localbitcoins?

There is definitely a ton of ways to earn bitcoins.

Just to list a few:

- Applying for a signature campaign on bitcointalk
- Offer your services in the services section of the forum
- Sell your unwanted goods or digital goods in the corresponding sections of this forum.
- Get a job in real life and set up a direct debit to buy bitcoins every month with your wages.

These are only a few. You will find more worthwhile things to do to earn bitcoin like trading gift cards on paxful and localbitcoins when you get more experienced and develop your own strategy.

All these methods (except 1st one) seem most likely exchanging real money to bitcoin.   Grin
