41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What's your biggest problem with Bitcoin on: April 06, 2016, 03:59:59 PM
Software development team here.
We would like to hear from the community what are the most annoying\frustrating stuff you have with Bitcoin and would love to get a solution for ?
Feel free to talk about any problem, even if it seems unsolvable or too abstract (e.g. Bitcoin is not safe enough for the average user)
Edit:
After reading all the replies, I feel confident summarizing that the #1 problem of Bitcoin is probably lack of adoption.
And the main reasons of lack of adoption are probably ease of use and insufficient security.
We are a team of entrepreneurs and software developers that are going to spend the next following months-year on developing a new product.
One of the most appealing markets for us is the Bitcoin market.
We will try to learn us much as possible from your replies and try to tackle the problems head on.

my only problem with bitcoin is that it is used in black market usually so people don't trust it and probably won't ever use it

also problem is that newbies won't learn how to ue it very fast, they need to learn about it, because wallet creation and codes saving isn't easy for newbies
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to teach someone about Bitcoin on: April 06, 2016, 03:50:28 PM
As the title say, what is the proper way to teach someone about what is Bitcoin?

well it is different if your friend wants to trade bitcoins, hold bitcoins or just use them

if he wants to trade/hold for profit you should explain what pump and dump is, main reason of trading( buy cheap and sell expensive, only way to get profit)

and if he wants to use them then you should explain what is wallet, how to create and use one, how to be safe when buying something, give examples of sites that sells something for bitcoin
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How did Bitcoin Spread ? on: April 06, 2016, 03:38:35 PM
I know that Satoshi created the first cryptocurrency - Bitcoin. But how did the world came to know about it ? How did miners came to know about it and how the common people started to use it ? There was no such term as cryptocurrency at that time.

well actually there are lots of ways how bitcoin spreads, my friend told me about bitcoin, i told about them to my friends, but that is not only way how bitcoin spreads

i saw info about bitcoins in local news, saw them in BBC news too, on internet too, and of course bitcoin gambling sites attracts users because they want to try it out
44  Economy / Speculation / Re: sold my alts, all in BTC on: April 05, 2016, 08:05:13 PM
Keeping track of all different alt coin wallets was annoying Angry And I don't trust exchanges.

I'm ready for liftoff.

Are you?

(of course I had never more than ~5% in alts)

to be honest some time ago i traded 4 different cryptos, but recently i changes everything to bitcoin only, because it is most popular one and really predictable, also it is much easier to buy/sell 1 crypto then 4 different ones, and also i did this because of halving, because i am pretty sure that price will rise
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: With the halving coming... on: April 05, 2016, 08:02:22 PM
Let's assume that we reach a new ATH of $1,700, what do you do?

first of all, i am sure that we won't go to 1700$ because of halving, we won't go to ATH this year, because it needs time to go there, it won't happen in 9 months

and even if we would go because of halving, price would fall down again pretty soon because everyone would sell their coins instantly, so price will fall
46  Economy / Speculation / Re: Poll: What year will Bitcoin reach $10,000? on: April 05, 2016, 08:00:04 PM
I call $10k by 2016, but if we keep rising 10 times per year it will be a lot sooner than that.

Even so, I locked in my prediction here:
1 Bitcoin will be worth at least $10,000 by 12/31/2016
http://betsofbitco.in/item?id=1532

i am sure that we won't see 10000$ price very soon, price now is 430$ and bitcoin have to be very popular and everyone should use it to see such a large price, maybe if some countries will use bitcoin as currency, maybe then we will see 10 000$, but that won't happen anytime soon anyway
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will bitcoin reach 500 USD again ? on: April 05, 2016, 07:53:44 PM
...and why do you think so ?

i think that price will go to 500$ in 2 months, you might be suprised why i say that, well mostly because of halving, halving will rise price of bitcoin for sure, and best thing is that people wants to get profit from it, so they buy more and more bitcoins each day, and more they buy, higher price we see each day
48  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start trading with a very small amount on: April 05, 2016, 06:46:51 PM
as i am a newbie.. i know nothing about trading... what should i do to start trading and multiply my btc.. guys please help me

to trade with small amounts(probably because you are newbie) you have to find site that allows you to trade small amounts, because main sites that are very popular, well i don't think that they will let you to trade 2 or 3 $ only, they probably let you to trade large amounts only
49  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I am confused with trading.Help me out on: April 05, 2016, 06:34:35 PM
I have read and heard that one can earn and make good money with trading bitcoins.I also want to give it a shot.Everyone says the basic rule of trading is buy low and sell high but I am confused because which ever exchange I try,the buy rate is always higher than sell rate. How can one profit if sell rate is less than buy rate.If I buy at $390, the sell rate is $380

yes, personally i think that trading is most profitable way, much better than gambling, investing or holding bitcoins, and if you don't get any profit, maybe you do something wrong?

you shouldn't be afraid that price will fall down after you buy bitcoins, because that happens pretty often, you have to stay calm and just hold your bitcoins
50  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to buy bitcoins without showing ID or credit card on: April 05, 2016, 06:22:52 PM
I need to buy a small amount (like $20 a month) worth of bitcoins to pay a service.
I do not want to provide an ID or associate with my credit card.

I prefer to do it online as well and not in person.

Can anyone please advise me on how to do this?

TIA!

to buy bitcoins for 20$ only in week i think you should buy from someone in real life that sells bitcoins, because other ways are too hard and not needed if you want just 20$ in week, ATM is not good idea for you too, it is good only when you want to take large amounts of money, now 80$ in month
51  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Lend Money on: April 04, 2016, 06:35:13 PM
I would like to know how can i lend money to other forum members safety. Can i create a thread offering loan? And can i earn trust doing it?

Thanks.

to be a money lender, you should have a positive trust, but that's not all, people you will lend money too should have positive trust too or you shouldn't lend them money because there are lots of scammers everywhere, so you have to be very careful while doing things like this
52  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I've got $20k to invest. Please recommend! on: April 04, 2016, 06:17:29 PM
20K is so much money.
Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes
put it on the right basket dude

yes do what this man says and don't risk your money, personally  i wouldn't use this money for gambling, i also wouldn't risk them by investing in any gambling site or buying bitcoins and keeping them

i would spend this money for trading, but since you don't want, buying and keeping bitcoins is best way you can do

Hey folks,

I've finally got around $20k to invest in long-term. No, unfortunately I cannot put this on a bank to get like 10-15% per year, I'd need something way more good.
What would you recommend? Mining? Other crypto?

Investors, please get me some cool ideas.

Thanks in advance,
Marcell

don't mine because now it is too late to start it now, i think best idea would be to buy bitcoins, halving will happen in July so you can sell your coins after it and you will be very happy because price of bitcoin will rise for sure

yes, if someone will decide to mine now will be sad because they won't get profit at all or will get tiny one only, so that's not best idea because in order to make good profit you need to have somehow free electricity and its hard to get

well i believe he might want trying to buy a lot of bitcoins because it might be a really good investment as the price of the bitcoin will most probably grow a lot in the future and it would make a lot of money
55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to start trading with a very small amount on: April 03, 2016, 05:42:29 PM
as i am a newbie.. i know nothing about trading... what should i do to start trading and multiply my btc.. guys please help me

first of all if you're new, you should find a sites that lets you trade small amount of bitcoins, because you probably don't have lots of money to start, and like everyone says, sell only when expensive and buy only when cheap otherwise you will lose money
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: April 03, 2016, 01:16:21 PM
Is gambling OK? Don't bet it! There's not an easy or instantly obvious proof text answer to that question.

well yes it is okay, in some religions it is a huge sin, but in some it is okay, i mean gambling is just a hobby like any sport or computer games, if gambling is a sin then basketball is a sin too, right?

the problem comes if the person gets too addicted to it and in the end lose vast amounts of money that he needs for a living, then all the problems begin
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dice vs Slots on: April 03, 2016, 01:15:12 PM
Whats your first choice when it comes to gambling and why?
What would you choose dice or fancy slot machine or another game?
My pick is dice because of fixed house edge and more advanced automated betting.

in online gambling, dice game and slots one are really same, because it is usually 50/50 chance to win,

it both have decent auto bet system but i would choose dice game on primedice, because i started my gambling there, also community is friendly there
58  Economy / Gambling / Re: Most popular gambling sites? on: April 03, 2016, 01:13:13 PM
Can someone give me list of top 10 most popular Bitcoin gambling sites currently?
Thanks

most popular dice game site is primedice i think, it is very popular because community is friendly, it have good auto bet system and it give free money each 15 minutes

and very popular sport bets and poker site is directbet, lots of different sport games to bet
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you play an 8 Pool game with BTC as game credit/betting? on: April 03, 2016, 01:10:49 PM
I was thinking why a game where you can play based on skills doesn't exist yet, similar to 8 Ball Pool but with BTC (currently available at iTunes and Play stores). What do you guys think? Would you play a game of skill and bet on it? I'm not sure why games didn't catch up with BTC, many could become pro gamers, just as there are pro poker players.

yes, i really would play it, problem with games like this is because of bots that would play and get money, and that would be unfair so everyone avoids to create sites like this and of course everyone would be afraid to play there
60  Economy / Gambling / Re: try your chess skills for bitcoin on: April 03, 2016, 01:09:02 PM
play chess for bitcoins, better then betting
chess4coin.com

i searched for thing like this for long time and finally i found this, really awesome thing because i wanted to find game to play for bitcoins, skill based one not luck, i found poker but i am too bad for it

but bots is huge problem, do you have anything to fight them off? they would surely ruin all the gambling and playing experience thus people wouldnt get high quality entertainment at all
