41  Other / Off-topic / Re: Already delays in BFL shipment plans? on: November 28, 2012, 07:50:19 PM
I wonder what BFL's balance sheet looks like. They could be at real risk of bankruptcy, particularly if they have actually dipped into pre-order funds for all this supposed chip tinkering. I wonder how long they can stay affloat while talking about bullet runs, respins, and multiple product delays.

Ironically it's ASICs and their pre-order launch in particular that's crimped the FPGA market, so I'm sure sales of existing products must be way down even with the upgrade policy in place.

They only have enough FPGAs to help replacements. They don't have any left to sell.

You know the BFL rigs are ready when tradeins are requested to be sent back, or at least a tradein email-in plan is sent out.
This should be at least 1 weeks notice.

Selling 1x32G 1x72G Order #642, DHL + INT shipping.
Mining profits were supposed to pay for Feb wedding. Not gonna happen for me now.

that was a rather stupid move to "bank on"... take it to the for sale forum derp derp

I didn't bank on it. I have plenty of money, but it's nice to pay for something with the profits of a fantastical machine.
Derp derp.

Oh really?  You expected to pay for a Feb wedding with "profits" from 2 bASIC devices?  That would assume you would have re-couped your initial purchase of just under $1700 then added on "profit"Huh derp derp McDerp... better off not buying in the first place derpy

No I didn't expect to pay for a ~$50,000 wedding with mining profits from 2 devices.
But it was supposed to do it's part, and now it won't, so i'd rather have the cash.

From your posts, all you do here is troll and post stupid pictures. So fuck off Tongue.

~Thread railed.

It'll still happen lol, it just won't be paid with digital dollars, which I thought would have been awesome!

Why does it matter when? This is a silly thread.

That sounds really dumb.

You can have order 500 with a paid date of 27/11/2012.
The orders are shipped on paid DATES not order numbers.
53  Bitcoin / Hardware / bASIC - speed boost - 54G now 72G, 27G now 36G (~) on: November 25, 2012, 05:45:46 AM
A result of hardware changes made.

bASIC
It is for this reason that we are going to grow our hashing cluster to 8 ASICs.  With two clusters on the larger unit, it will conservatively produce 72GH/s.  Yes, this is very good news - a 33% increase in hashing power!  Yes, this means the 27G unit now becomes a 36G unit.  These initial numbers are conservative estimates, but we expect that firmware and software updates will be able to iteratively increase hashing power as well.

Raspbian “wheezy”

Again, all my issues solved with a proper power supply source for the Pi.

Look at the ever increasing cancer and disease rates and wake up. Do you really believe your environment and food provided by these corporations is safe ?

Ok, I think if we go on a detox diet and have water squirted up our anal passages to get rid of our poop we will be okay.
We are the 99%!!!

Together at last.

I have my BFL single flying on my Pi. Just one though.
Didn't work so well unless I got a better USB charger to supply power.
When you say it didn't work so well with a bad power supply what happened? Did it work for a while then power off like mine? I'm not opposed to trying again with a better PS, but I've got more than one and I don't want to waste my time if there are still Com issues.

I would say the USB/Network was failing.
Using wireless USB or network port it would become unpingable. I would have to power cycle. The Pi would still be on.

Like I mentioned, we plan to release in smaller batch to avoid the whole back-order situation our competitor is running into, with that said, we expect all 300 units to finish shipping out before Jan ends, currently we are looking waterfall of 300 units every 2 weeks. This also means there will be a second batch soon after, with a shipping "zone" of 2 weeks from ordering.

Ahh cool. Did not notice that.
I'm pretty much risking all I want to on this game now anyway. I did try to get a Avalon initially, but missed out. Good luck Smiley.
