45  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon highly unstable hashrate on: June 23, 2013, 03:17:47 PM
Two steps:
1. Ensure you have disabled wireless, this is the main contributing factor towards the USB dropouts
2. Ensure the F1 fuse is removed (it might have already been removed on your unit as it's a more recent delivery)

PM me and I'll send through to an address.

Aren't all current units arriving with this modification already performed?
Mine were part of the earlier batch 2 deliveries with the F1 fuse still present.
49  Economy / Auctions / Re: Module Hosting Avalon Asic Batch 2 3% Fee on: June 19, 2013, 08:48:10 PM
Are you selling multiple modules?

If so I'll bid 10BTC for one to be physically shipped.
50  Economy / Auctions / Re: Module Hosting Avalon Asic Batch 2 3% Fee on: June 19, 2013, 08:13:34 PM
What are the current bids on the modules?

I'm also interested in the current price.

My batch 2 Avalon sometimes stops mining until the watchdog restarts cgminer.  Cgminer output looks like:

-snip-

I'm running the 0519 firmware.  I have removed the F1 fuse.

Make sure you've disabled wifi as well.

54  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon ASIC users thread on: June 07, 2013, 09:51:59 AM
I removed the F1 fuses on my two Avalons this morning - It's surprisingly easy (DISCLAIMER - I'm not responsible for any issues), I just pinched off the fuses with my leatherman pliers.

All back up and running perfectly.

For anyone interested, after running for a week with the fuses, there was no noticeable damage to the chips on the control boards. However, it's still recommended to remove the fuses.
55  Economy / Goods / Re: High Quality Bitcoin T-Shirts for sale on: June 06, 2013, 09:57:52 PM
Really nice t-shirt, I have the exact same opinion - most of the Bitcoin t-shirts are horrible.

I've reserved one now but looks like we need 9 more for them to produce them again Sad
56  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Avalon Technical Support Thread on: May 30, 2013, 11:50:13 PM
Thanks for letting community know. Could you give us simple step-by-step guide how to do this?
I just went to the network section of the web ui and clicked the disable button for the wifi.

Others have gone as far as disabling the interface, presumably something along the lines of:
Code:
ifconfig wlan0(?) down

Although that'd only last until reboot. A permanent settings change is probably done by clicking the disable button.

A tip for anyone struggling with the USB modem/dropout issue:

Following discussions on IRC (Freenode #avalon) a few of us have seemed to have solved the issue by disabling the wifi part of the TP-Link.
