@Vlad2Vlad. If it was manipulated to go up can it be also manipulated to go down? It could be a nice strategy for the whales to profit in both directions. In Poloniex you can short ETH. I am not sure with Kraken.
I can actually make money doing day trading of ETH in polo, I like the price because it is so predictable and every time there is a dump it is expected that in a short time pump will happen, to be honest, ETH and XMR are giving me more income this days along side with LISK sometimes. But I would like to say that I got more profit in ETH. I noticed the price volatility is quite low at the moment. You have to trade within a very tight range now. |

Miners are chasing the profit. The price of the ETC has dropped, so the miners will mine the ETH instead.
The hashing rate of ETC has dropped to around $500 GH/s now. That is becasue the ETC price has drooped a lot. The ETC hash rate has risen quite a lot in the last 24 hours. That is due to the rise of the ETC price relative to ETH. |

Looks like ETC is loosing the battle, its market cap has dropped quite a bit last week.
Perhaps miners will switch over again when its more profitable, either way i dont see ETH switching to POS any time soon.
The ETC price is about 13.5% of the ETH price now. I found the hash rate is also similar ratio. if the price drops further, it could be 51% attacked. To attack a coin, there is no need for the 51% hash, you need around 25% to do some kind of attack. I saw a paper mentioning you only need less than 25% of the network hash rate to do the attack. That was in 2013. A Chinese guy called Chandler Guo, he has about 100G of the Ethereum hash. So he has the ability to attack the ETC. He could be the force breaking the ETC. He used to say that he would 51% the ETC when the ETC was first listed. |

It would be great of the price was that high but I do not know if the is really going to happen.
I am not going to get my hopes up for this.
i dont think it is going to happen soon, but it will be definitely possible in like a decade or so, i think we just need to wait, if the price goes up that much it will make me big money Even for centuries it will not. There are people added in the bitcoin world day by day even at low numbers. More people means more adoption. More adoption means more usage. More usage means price will become stable so no way bitcoin price can breached that value unless dollar will devaluated by it's own value. We shall have about 2 million bitcoin users in 2020, so the number increase is about 5 times, the price will be 25 times higher. I hope so. But it depends on the infrastructure of the bitcoin. If the user epxeriences are not good, there will be fewer users. |

Well It would be nice to see bitcoin at 10000$ each. IMO the chance of it raising up to that price is about 50%. It's chance will change depending on the factors that will occur in the future.
It depends on your time scale. I think the price could reach $10,000 in 5 to 10 years if the growth rate is the same as before. If the growth rate is same as before, then the price will triple every year, I do not think the price will rise that fast. |

Woow 10.000 each would be very nice there will be allot of people interested into the coin but they will be tolate. If you want to invest into bitcoins just do it now otherwise you will be tolate.
Maybe the demand of bitcoins that time will be very high but the supply would be limited enough, since every halving that is one of the things that happening that it is limiting the bitcoins for the near 21 million bitcoins. High price but low supply. That is a high amount but it wont be that easy to reach that high value and that is because it takes a long time until it will reach that high value so that can be bad. But it started already to rise now and that is perfect for the people with already Bitcoin. It might take several decades for the bitcoin price to reach $1 million each. But it is very possiilbe as it is deflaitonary. |

$10,000m per Bitcoin is so much money and it maybe possible that the price will be this in the future but not at the moment. We have to hit the thousands yet so this can only happen somewhere in 2030.
$10,000 per bitcoin is not so much, it just values the bitcoin at $200 billion. It is less than the market cap of many big companies. |

It's not realistic that the price just goes to 10k. With an altcoin with no volume you can pump it, but bitcoin has a marketcap of 7 billion. You can't just double, tripple that. It needs stable input.
That is right. We need fresh money to come into the Bitcoin ecosystem. For the price to double, we need at least 3 billion. |

10k for a bitcoin is just not realistic and this will also not happen in my opinion because the fact is that it will never happen in my opinion.
The halving will help to let the price rise but not to such a price.
10000 dollar for the bitcoin is for the price in 5-8 years. We will not see it in the next few years at least. |

10k is just too much in my opinion, the 10k can never be reached by the bitcoin because its really unrealistic.
Its even the question if its every gonna be around the 1k again.
I think that price is not unrealistic, as if the demand and adopters increased to a great value then there is a chance that bitcoin increase to $10,000, but it will take some more time I think in the coming ten years there will be a chance for that to happen. That day will never come, maximum value it can achieve is 5000 not more then that and that is also an belief nothing sure whether it can achieve it or not. of course it will come, and the price will be even way more higher in my opinion because the price will have a lot of potential because of the people trying to buy as much bitcoins as possible i think that maximum price will be something like 300 thousand dollars per bitcoin in the future and we will surely see a big increase in price in the near future in my opinion and we will make some good profit Nah i don't see it happening, it's too far away from where we are now. Maybe a 4k price in a decade but not anything close to 10k. it's less than 2 orders of magnitude away, it's not like we never saw jumps like that before. it can easily be reached within a decade, and i honestly wouldn't be surprised if it would be reached within one year. in fact 2 orders of magnitude in a decade is really slow considering bitcoin has a long way to go still. We do not need a big pump to let the price be $10,000. It just needs to rise 40% a year for 10 years. |
