41  Economy / Economics / Re: BTC and Banks on: September 15, 2017, 08:05:14 AM
hello,
I was wondering if major and smaller banks invested in Bitcoin or other Altcoins?
I think they did but, the question is how? and with which methods?  Huh Huh
of course any bank will never say it publicly....
someone who knows something can explaine the community?
thanks
I think there will be no bank that will invest to bitcoin because bitcoin did not abide the law of the bank even its features. And so it is so impossible to happen that bitcoin will be use by any bank all over the world.
I will agree to what you have said. BTC and Banks both are entirely different sort of things. They have no connection in between. It is because of the reason that Banks were meant to keep the paper currency and this is what they are doing. BTC is something entirely different from paper money, so it has no concern with banks.
42  Economy / Economics / Re: Which one is good, trading or investing? on: September 15, 2017, 07:28:26 AM
i had about $200 worth of bitcoin.
How can i earn more with that amount?
should I trading? or make an investment?
and please give me some trusted site to investing my wealth.

**i dont want to give a loan, or else.**

if you had some advice, feel free to tell me.
really apreciate it.
thank you.

Learn to trade, mate. There is money there for as long as you have learned the necessary skills. Your $200 may also be used for hodling altcoins of your choices. That is the kind of investment you can do with that amount. But I prefer trading. Choose the cheapest that has the probability to rise soon.
Trading is the best way to make money in cryptocurrencies because it is better than to hold coins since they are not predictable and you cannot tell if they will pump in the future or not. If you are going to trade then only trading the coins that has a huge volume so you can earn easily and do day trade and always practice that kind of trading until you master it.
yeah i trade is good chooice than invest. i think its more profitable you can get profit everyday, easy and you can use trade as livelihood
in trading small to lose your balance all because you can hold it
Yes, trading is better than investing. Profit will depend on our experience, skills and luck, it is not as easy as you say and if want to get a profit every day as you say, we will need a lot of experience, this really is not simple. The difficulty is a lot but until we have the full experience and skills, the profit we can get is huge, I see now many people give up their main job to focus on trading, trading is really the best way to make more money and get rich
Trading is indeed better than investing in terms of making profits. Though it requires a lot of hard work and experience but once you become expert, no one is going to stop you from becoming a millionaire. Trading bitcoins wisely generate much bigger profits than simply holding them in wallets.
43  Economy / Economics / Re: Cashless society on: September 15, 2017, 06:29:04 AM
I will not consider that income will totally be changed with cryptocurrencies in long term simply since crypto don't function offline. Crypto is largely for the educated course who know how to use Net and cannot be utilised by every person so i will not believe cashless society is achievable.
It is not only you who does not believe on cashless society, but there are many more as well including me who thinks the same. I think it is nearly impossible to wipe out paper money completely from this world.

This is possible that the number of users using paper money may decrease but even then there will be many believers of paper money.
44  Economy / Economics / Re: Do You Think Bitcoin Will Replace Dollar Soon? on: September 15, 2017, 05:45:35 AM
Bitcoin is only the best online (internet) but it will never replace the dollar. Yeah it is getting more popular because of its very high value and we know that we can make profits in the short period of time. Unlikely, US dollar is used legally and accepted around the world.
You are very much right. I think that there is nothing which cannot happen in this world. You can for sure expect anything to happen in coming days. I think the only hurdle is the legalization of Bitcoin. If this happens, then we can for sure expect anything uncertain to happen and then there will be likely chances that Bitcoin will replace Dollar.
45  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i care about mining as a trader? on: September 14, 2017, 11:36:57 AM
should i care about mining as a trader? does it affect the coins in anyway?
These are two different things entirely, a miner and a trader. You cannot partake in both and expect to be good in both or to make profit from both, one of them has to suffer great loss if you are going into both simultaneously.
46  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Localbitcoins account suspended on: September 14, 2017, 10:51:37 AM
My Localbitcoins account is suspended for no apparent reason and with no notification I just can't make new transactions, I contacted support and I wait their reply, hope this gets resolved soon, anyone faced this situation before ? how did it go ?
Your account was suspended probably due to suspicious transactions in your account, or maybe your account started seeming fishy or they noticed some illegal transactions in your account. You should contact customer care as soon as possible.
47  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you decide when it's time to sell? on: September 14, 2017, 10:08:36 AM
Nobody wants to be monitoring the prices all day with the cursor on the sell button just waiting to click the mouse, so how do you decide when to sell?

If you set up an open order with a low target price, you'll be disappointed when the price climbs well above your target price.
If you set up an open order with too high a price, you might not sell at all.

What's your strategy?
When you decided to invest your money in bitcoin it was a personal decision and choice and I think the latter too is about making the decision, if it suits you to sell at a specific price then that’s fine, if it doesn’t suit you its still ok.
48  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: should i care about mining as a trader? on: September 12, 2017, 07:50:20 AM
should i care about mining as a trader? does it affect the coins in anyway?
As a trader what you should be bothered about should be making profits from trading and not mining, if you decide to go into mining and trading and mining together you would lose focus and your trading is going to suffer.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: how much fiat currency has been exchanged for bitcoin up until now ? on: September 12, 2017, 06:57:46 AM
That the question. Do we actually have any idea about this ?
No one has directly made hand to hand transaction with fiat for bitcoin, though bitcoin is now being accepted as a means of payment in daily life, most times you get to buy your coins online through the use of a credit card and other stuff.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin: Endless Possibilities on: September 12, 2017, 06:03:08 AM
I've seen lots of topics in the forum about bitcoins already thus made me think that in Bitcoins there are endless possiblities.

- Future of Bitcoin

We can't really predict what will happen, thus for questions like will bitcoin rise, is it safe to invest, shall I withdraw my BTC, nobody can really provide a specific answer only advise as per the growth flow of BTC in the market. Unless, someone knows how to time travel and he is just hiding it from us (hmmm endless possibilities), he'll surely know the future of bitcoin. BUT, someone can probably predict bitcoin thru it's flow, Bitcoin analyst maybe but im not sure.

- Who uses Bitcoin?

I have also asked this in one post of mine, no one knows who as well. Some personalities might be lurking on this forum reading our posts (including this hopefully), just not identifying themselves to avoid commotions. "Spoofy" (I've read about him the other day) might be here as well checking. Or who knows, we might be trading with Extraterrestrials already (hmmm..possible?)

- Bitcoin and Internet

Well, provided that BTC is an online cryptocurrency and the question about internet being gone totally...hmmmm...

- Bitcoin and Hidden Identitiy

In Bitcoin, nobody will know who you are if you choose not to be known. So everything is possible, illegal trades, criminality etc.

Those are just few topics.. there are more and more... Endless Questions... Endless Topics...Endless Possibilities..

This forum is fun and worth reading :-)

In this game of bitcoin, I have come to realize that it doesn’t matter who preaches to you on what to do, all that matters are the decisions that you take at the crucial moments that would decide your fate. Yes there are endless possibilities, but if you make the wrong decision that could be the end for you in the market.
51  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: At what price point per BTC will it be too late for the average person on: September 12, 2017, 05:34:52 AM
Hello everyone,

I feel very late to the party with BTC. I have know of it for a couple of years but ignored it. Now I'm super sold and ready to buy my first coin. $4k is huge but not impossible for me. At what price do you feel its too late to own 1 full BTC for the average person?

I'm not interested in owning micro or milli coins.

How much time do we have left until its becomes proper main strain?

Can someone tell me where we are on this chart please?

I don’t think it will get to that extent of being too late, the only thing that would happen is that the market will be left with little or no juice because the early investors have sucked out the juice in the market and the new ones are just eating the remaining.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If Bitcoin dies does altcoin die? on: September 12, 2017, 04:52:02 AM
Bitcoin is a very popular crypto coin today, we know that Bitcoin will be very expensive in the future but I imagine if Bitcoin die, whether there will be hope for the future of altcoin? because most altcoin exchanges are to bitcoins
your opinion is highly appreciated. Smiley
I guess yes, because alt coin can be independent too like bitcoin is, it is just that bitcoin is on top that is why they are relying things everything in bitcoin, it is just like a dollar and fiat, fiat can stand in one country without dollar. It is just that alt coin need to improve more like what bitcoin has.
53  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do foreigners buy Bitcoin in Mainland China without ID verification? on: September 11, 2017, 12:33:47 PM
With the rising number of  foreigners live and do business in China, they got RMB and want to buy Bitcoin, but those exchanges in China can trade only after ID verification, and only with Chinese ID, so how to buy Bitcoin becomes a big problem of foreigners live in China. There are two different way to buy Bitcoin in China, now we are going to talk about them.

1. Offline trading
You need to find someone who have Bitcoin, and they are willing to sell it to you, and this will be difficult especially for new Bitcoiners. And we all know there are some other problems with offline trading, if buyer pay first, then seller send Bitcoin, the problem will be buyer paid and seller do not send Bitcoin. If seller send Bitcoin first, the problem will be what if the buyer would not pay the money? So we will solve this problem later.

2. On line P2P trading platform
In order to solve problems as follows,
(1) Got money to buy Bitcoin but cannot find those who sell Bitcoin
(2) Got Bitcoin to sell but cannot find those who what to buy
Some company figure it out that they can develop a platform, just like Ebay, those who have Bitcoin to sell can create an ads on the platform that will display it so that those who want buy Bitcoin can find them and contact them directly through the platform. Then, Problem solved.

But still buyers and seller still have problems, they cannot trust each other:
(1) What if I paid but they would not send me Bitcoin
(2) What if I send Bitcoin but they would not pay
The platform figure it out with a new solution, Escrow payment, if the a buyer order some Bitcoin, lets say 0.5 BTC, then the 0.5 BTC from the seller will be held by the platform like trustee.
If the buyer paid, the seller can click a button that can release the 0.5 BTC to the buyer, but if the buyer do not pay, seller can dispute on the platform, the platform will sentence the 0.5 BTC to the rightful owner.
If the buyer paid and the seller do not release Bitcoin to seller, buyer can dispute too. The platform will sentence the 0.5 BTC to the buyer.

Here is the platform, named CoinCola, web: https://www.coincola.com, which is located in HongKong, here are things you may want to know about it,
1. You can buy Bitcoin as much as you want and without ID verification.
2. It delivers Android Apps IOS Apps and website, so you can buy and seller whenever and wherever you are.
3. You can register without VPN, since you live in China and with the regulation of VPN.
4. Register, buy and sell are totally free, advertisement will cost the advertiser 0.7% of the total trading amount.
5. Overseas seller will get supportive policy which will cut down your fee of advertisements to 0.3%.
6. New user can buy Bitcoin at a very good rate, normally will be RMB 500–800 Yuan lower than the market price.

I use it when I in mainland China, it is pretty good, and I hope it can help.
That’s not a difficult task, you can just go up to localbitcoins.com and find people who are willing to sell to you without having to go through all the stress of verifying or doing any other stuff.
54  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop-Loss ideas on: September 11, 2017, 12:01:49 PM
Hello; I'm pretty new at trading crypto. I'm interested about thoughts and strategies about stop-loss percentages and strategies you guys use. at first I would not sell at a loss regardless my motto was "at least 5% profit, always" but if I want to trade more with a limited budget, I need to back out from certain coins even at a loss. that's why I'm interested about this topic.
In the trading world(I mean USD/EUR, EUR/JPY) and other markets using the stop loss and take profit orders is the greatest and the best way for you to make money off your investments but it should be used carefully, because you might regret that you stopped your trade too early cos of these two.
55  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ProtonMail officially accepts bitcoin on: September 11, 2017, 11:27:22 AM
ProtonMail is quite popular for using cryptography to deliver end-to-end encryption email service to around 2 million users. They have added bitcoin as one of their officially accepted payment methods.

Quote
Starting from version 3.11 of ProtonMail, it is now possible to pay for premium ProtonMail secure email account using Bitcoin. We have designed the payment system to work seamlessly so that Bitcoin payments are automatically converted to ProtonMail credits which can be used to pay for upgrades, pay invoices, or top up your account. This feature was long overdue, so we are glad to finally introduce this.

Over the past three years, we have had an unofficial way of accepting Bitcoins which involved manually sending BTC to our Bitcoin donation address, and manually confirming the transaction with our support team to receive account credits. However, the general increase in the number of Bitcoin transactions over the years has made that approach unfeasible and made development of an automated system necessary.

We feel this is indicative of a broader trend, where the increased mainstream interest in Bitcoin will make it harder for merchants not to support Bitcoin, which will lead to more Bitcoin support, more transactions, and perhaps the continued appreciation of Bitcoin prices.

Ultimately, we believe having a more significant portion of our revenue via Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies actually reduces our business risk, by providing more redundancy in the event of the failure of more traditional payment methods.

I was just going through the place and I saw this, I became very happy because it added one more bulb to the dark tunnel of bitcoin acceptance, it is great thing to hear that one more company has started accepting bitcoin.

You should make the decision based on the one you’re better at and not the one that’s good. It might be good for someone yet bad for you. Its up to you to decide what is going to be good for you and the one that is going to wreak havoc.
57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How much risk in bitcoin investement ? on: September 11, 2017, 08:38:19 AM
I just wanted to know that, what amount of risk is there in investing in bitcoins.
Right now i am planning to buy btc approx 3-4 btc and just hold them as i guess the price of bitcoin will increase in future and i will get some good profit. But i want to know what is the risk involved. Can bitcoin price decrease and is this right time to buy the bitcoin.
Investing in bitcoin itself is a risk like we know, infact investing in any form of business is a risk because you don’t know what might happen in the long term, all you have to do is just to be hopeful and determined that the best is going to happen.
58  Economy / Economics / Re: Stock market vs. Bitcoin??? on: September 06, 2017, 04:20:38 PM
Hi traders!
Does somebody here do trading in stock market and also trading in bitcoin? Which is more profitable and safe?
Thanks ahead!
Stock market and bitcoin is no match at all, while the stock market is a big place, the bitcoin market is a big market and it’s the only thing being traded on the market, amazing isn’t it. Though the stock market is more established.

Investing is a better stuff to do than trading, though it is meant for those that are patient it pays off in the long run because the patient dog eats the biggest bone, if you’re impatient then you can try trading and lose your cash.
60  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the combined net worth of all bitcoins in existence? on: September 06, 2017, 02:51:44 PM
As in, every bitcoin that has ever existed, but not including the bitcoins they may be mined in the future.
I am not sure though but I think all the bitcoins in existence right now should be worth more than $25 billion given the present price of the currency and tracking the amount of transactions taking place on the network daily.
