Do you know "where" the 5% are taken from ? The more I stack the more i should return interest right ?
They are new coins, generated not taken from anywhere. The more you stack the more coins you will receive though the rate remains the same. To get slightly more than the 5% redeem your interest often to take advantage of cumulative compounding. Is this the process of "staking" or "minting"? does Komodo use PoS? It's a innovation of Komodo. You gain these rewards all the time, and it doesn't create blockchain bloat. Komodo is PoW (equihash), and it has dPoW consensus built on top of it. What are the interest intervals ? How often can you redeem said interest? Interest rate is 5% and it will accumulate for 1 year, after which you should move the unspent transaction (UTXO) to claim the interest. You can claim more often to compound the interest. I believe komodo will continue to generate interest until all the coins are issued. You can redeem interest once an hour if you are willing to pay for the transaction fees.

regret selling KMD way to cheap, after swapping with BTCD... never thought it will go this far
Where can I check KMD roadmap?
KMD is on sale now! It is not too late to get back in. After the BTC split I expect KMD to recover well. You are right.I am also expecting kmd to go to $3 next month after btc market recover.Holding my kmd tightly till than I agree, the current price doesn't reflect the achievements made in such a short time. Talk is cheap....once BTC sorts it self out after August 1......so will most Alts be cheap as well....the main reason they have all increased in value is that the wall street followers have finally got on the digital currency band wagon . Many of them have fallen for the hype around alts, not knowing there elbows from there arse holes about crypto. When they get there heads around it expect to see a lot more pump and dump activity in the alt markets as capitalization is so small compared to traditional markets they play in now. After they finish Butt hurting people in alts they will park most of there profits in BTC Cheers Jon When the Wall St boys turn up in numbers they'll be looking for alts that pay dividends, Alts that pay dividends are illegal on many US exchanges (depending on state laws ). Why do you think that Komodo isn't listed on Polo ? Cheers Jon While it is true that the few cryptos that pay dividends would be an accounting nightmare for exchanges, I haven't heard that they are illegal. Can you post any reference to the laws? Komodo isn't dividend paying, but SuperNET was. We should make a distinction between interest bearing and dividend posting.

Are the private keys the correct type? This paper wallet generator was originally used for making BTCD addresses. We should make sure that we can import the private keys to KMD.

@drai that sucks for your loss.
I don't think you made any mistake either. The miner who got your 630 kmd should give you back this money (if he 's honest). Go to slack and put the txid and try to get some help to find out who got this undue money so they can give it back to you. [/quote] Yeah, that's it. The hash has been passed in slack already: http://kmd.explorer.supernet.org/block/000000464e48418bb3423c21c29eb1f31bf847e8ea9e39b59e54f64d5e773340I've asked to someone of the team to contact miners, to ask if they mined it. I've done some search that lead only to exclude somes. To find out the winner of this 'prize' my opinion is that in contacting them without motivation my request will not be considered - yeah, because to contact asking back komodos before to find out who mined it doesn't look a winning strategy, right!? Instead developer can contact them motivating their request. and then explain the situation. The 6 leading zeros of the transaction number tell us that it was not mined by notary node. It most likely was mined by one of the pools. They distribute the mining block reward to all the pool members. I think it would be difficult to arrange it to be returned.

Anyone else experiencing problems with Coinbase? They say the site is offline. I'm guessing many people are rushing to go buy BTC during the dip and crashing the server?
I think Coinbase intentionally shut it down so that people there would not be able to sell I don't think coinbase is doing that intentionally. It would damage their business in a very silly way. What really happened is; a)They are either having legal(!) problems again, b)They got hacked, c)They are honest and they couldn't handle the orders and servers go kaputt All of them are possible. The mobile site claims to be operational. Anyone trying to buy / sell with your smartphone?

I think the kmd value is undervalued and long held
True! Even after this price increase there is still (a lot) of room for the value to rise... finally people are starting to notice Komodo and it's potential People don't view Komodo as an "Ether" competitor. Not because it isn't, just because the information is relatively new and the SuperNET isn't bombarding people with marketing. I think that there is no comparison between Komodo Platform and any other platform out there. The Jumblr itself is one of the most innovative techs in crypto right now. Where can you tumble your coins in a z-environment without giving up control of the coins themselves? Now you start adding the peerchains, assetchains, and InstantDEX and you have an entirely different beast in the cryptoworld. Once projects start launching their blockchains from Komodo Platform, they will unleash its true potential. It's much more than just a token. It's an ecosystem of decentralization tools for anyone to use. Don't forget to mention that InstantDEX has just started with testing! We all will have the ability to run our own exchange at home in our underwear (if we so choose).

I guess dev are working their butts out on this . They have not issued any statement or resolution on this matter as Bittrex status is still under maintenance.
The problem has been addressed a while ago. If you go back two pages you can see this statement from JL777 was posted on the matter: The blockchain was not under attack, it is similar to a DOS attack at the network level. Still not sure exactly how a killer packet was created, but a fix for the crashing is already updated in github. I estimate about 10% of nodes were affected. If you are having crashes, just update and it should be fine. We are still testing the hotfix version, but the change was very small so it should be fine. No funds were at risk, just annoyance of having to restart a node, but if you are in the process of syncing, it would likely make it much more difficult to do so as if it is crashed it wont sync. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ You can still buy or sell on Bittrex, they are just not accepting incoming or outgoing KMD transactions at the moment.

How profitable are the notary nodes at current prices?
How long until new notary node elections?
I think all nodes are self-sufficient now. Elections are in Jan 2018

if you see a negative transaction fee in explorer that shows that you got some interest from the transaction. outputs: 339622.38 + 710 = 340332.38 input: 340328.665 subtraction outputs - input = 3.72 (interest credited) not sure how your coins are blocked. PM me your privkey and I'll check (-:

You can thank me for that if get infected by it. Dont give this hackers bitcoin!
How do you know this? I'm not about to test your suggestion though LOL Some people give the hackers coins with a message. I like this transaction! 96015c757e440554005965b97349234dcae8d4c0f8cc3410a0743cbcc9bacd6c

I installed the latest Agama build and it is just freezing at the "starting iguana daemon" window
Windows? Try updating your system, that may help.

Could be that the website hasn't loaded properly? Try to wait some minutes. You should something like the following image: Have found the buttons, I withdrew but it's pending... So it can only reflect on my bittrex sometime Friday? The payouts happen on Friday. It is a manual process that is done in batches.

What will be if to make KMD withdraw from one address to the same address? Is coins will back or not? Thanks.
So anybody know answer for this question? Thanks. Your question makes absolutely no sense, which is probably why you haven't received any answer to it. Why would you withdraw from one address and send it to the exact same address. That would be pointless. It's a standard testing process. Developer should check all possible scenarios. This what I'm talking about, no matter why no matter how, if it's happened, what's the procedure to bring the coins back to balance or they'll back automatically? Maybe your guess is right, or maybe the coins will get pending until the old...I think even devs do not now it) my guess there will be a pop up message that receiving address cannot match sending address, or you'll just pay 0.0001 KMD fee and send your coins to the same address let's see what devs say, or test ourself ) We do send our coins to our own addresses. This is done very often. Miners would have to do this to recombine miner rewards 3 KMD amounts into larger amounts like 60 KMD. We do this so the coins can generate interest. The coins return to your address in the next block.

IN Ico site, i can see that kmd have been sent to my verified address through seed .
Is there a guide on how to import that seed in iguana wallet?
I'm on windows, using the beta version.
THX
They are working on it at this very moment. If you want to learn more or help out please follow all the action in the SuperNET slack. https://sprnt.slack.com/downloads/windows

In about 4 days and 12 hours voting will be finished. If you are still in the process of deciding I would appreciate your consideration for the NA region. Four reasons to vote for me: I have a rock solid node server. Consistently mining (running our komodo network at near 100% availabilty) and signing notary transactions with high regularity. I run a single node, and run it well. I bring diversity to the nodes. Diversity is good. If an operator of multiple nodes misses updates, or gets compromised, it can take out a significant portion of our network. Both of these situations have already occurred in our testnet and it is possible (and probable) to happen again in mainnet. I play important roles. I am a test engineer by profession, so testing things happens reflexively for me. I monitor all the nodes in our network to ensure we are all mining and also notarizing. PM me if you are interested in the seeing the stats. I also serve as a seed node, so I am trusted to serve as a reference to the komodo blockchain. I ask for low subsidy (35%) allowing a full complement 16 of us in the NA region. Notaries asking more than 50% really don't have komodo's network best interest at heart. Komodo is a priority for me. Please vote soon, and consider me for NA region. https://www.komodoelection.com/candidates/karasugoi/

I have decided to vote for
Satinda Grewal in SH Juan S Galt in NA
jl777 is the best dev in crypto, and SuperNET komodo iguana are by far the best crypto platforms & tech in the cryptosphere today, but the big weakness I see is marketing. To succeed komodo needs a massive influx of users to reach liquidity critical mass to make pax and dex operational, and with jl777 being anonymous, komodo SuperNET is severely lacking in marketing front-men to go to conferences, do interviews, podcasts etc
My belief is ethereum has succeeded to date because of superior front-men like Vitalek, whereas NXT nearly failed because both BCnext and Jean-Luc are anonymous and can't do public facing marketing. NXT only survives today because guys like damelon, evil dave, and riker stepped up to do public performances and marketing.
I will vote for Satinda and Juan because they are both non-anonymous, both doing videos, and have good understanding of the tech. Komodo needs guys like these to do the public facing marketing that jl777 can't.
There are many fine notary candidates, but I have decided to vote based on the biggest komodo weakness .... marketing that achieves mass adoption.
Are any of the other notary candidates public, and doing videos etc, prepared to de-cloak and do confefences, interviews etc ?
Hello CryptoSporidium I am one of the non-anonymous Notary Node operators. If elected I certainly will be quite active promoting Komodo in my local bitcoin users meetup (Silicon-Valley-Bitcoin-Users). We have over 2000 members, and I am pretty sure they would be quite interested in how we take advantage of the security of the blockchain. Who knows, maybe I will meet some of you at one of the meetings? Thanks for voting and I hope others would check me out for NA region notary https://www.komodoelection.com/candidates/karasugoi/

Tutorial: How to vote for a Notary Node candidate. With voting set to start in less than 19 hours, I want to encourage all future holders of KMD to vote. There are a lot of choices in the North America region and I would appreciate if you would consider my candidacy. Here is why I believe I can best support our network: I would be a great Komodo notary because of my dedication to supporting the health of our network, and due to the fact I am running an active single komodo notary node in testnet. I am very impressed with the power of komodo as it stands right now and want to help it reach its full potential. So I am determined to play a continuous active role in it, and be there to keep the notary network running smoothly 24/7. I am currently serving all of the notary nodes as a seed node. This helps by providing a reference node for the komodo blockchain. I will take this responsibility seriously and feel honored to be trusted to play this role. I am also tasked with monitoring the health of all of our notary nodes. I check out the mining stats for all of our nodes and report back with any nodes that are down or not operating as expected. I hope to be able to continue to serve in this capacity and enjoy ensuring the health of our network. I also hold BTCD and you can bet I will make sure it succeeds in its transition to KMD. You can trust me to do my best moving us forward. I also pledge to hold the mined komodo for the first year, at least for all 2017. If we are growing all the way into 2018, I will pledge to continue to hold, for the strength of our network and to keep my notary business. I also stress that I am only running one single node and I believe this is better for the health of our network. This brings diversity and allows for more operators. I also ask for a low subsidy (35%) to allow for more operators. Unfortunately there wasn’t enough BTC brought in during the ICO to fully support all nodes. In fact, notaries demanding greater than 50% subsidy are demonstrating they don’t believe in having a full complement of 64 notaries. Let’s give Komodo the best network with 64 nodes. We need operators around the clock and I (live in North America) will be awake while a majority of our operators (Europe based) are resting. I have been participating in the testnet since early October and have been keeping my node up to date and reporting errors. I have also mined other cryptos like monero and have helped out with Hyper crypto when it first came out. If you hang out in the slack channel you will probably see me around, feel free to ask me more and please vote for me.
