Ok if you dont have a PC you might as well have at least a pen and a piece of paper to write the 12 word paraphrase if you happen to generate one KMD address from an internet cafe to transfer funds from exchange. The blockchain will take care all of your funds with that specific KMD address. If by chance, dev has released its mobile version of Komodo wallet, you just simple get the piece of paper and retrieve the 12 word paraphrase that will match your KMD address.

I have just downloaded KMD wallet for cold storing. I can see the function for importing KMD address through seed. May I can use this function to import my KMD address into the Komodo wallet and is it safe to use this way? Thanks

When is jumblr snapshot and what is needed to take part into it?
The jumblr snapshot will take place after the ICO site is back up and running and another round of payouts is completed. All you need to do to take part is to hold your KMD in a wallet where you control the private keys e.g. agama. when will the ICO site be back up? it's been down for weeks now. how can swap be done from BTCD to KMD when ICO site is down? From the slack channel it looks like its imminent. How imminent is it?

The new Agama GUI allows you to import your privkey into an Agama wallet. However, it does not work the same as the seed. To generate the seed, you must generate it with Agama since it uses encryptwallet to generate the random words. If I was you, I would make a paper wallet and later import it into Agama or another KMD wallet. Paper wallet: https://github.com/SuperNETorg/KomodoPaperWalletGeneratorIf you don't know how to use it, please contact me through Slack and i will walk you through the process of generating a new address.

They had to attend a meetup in Barcelona last week, I will ask him for another update tomorrow since today is Sunday.

There is no mobile version of Komodo. Since Komodo uses zk-snark technology, it has a high resource consumption. For now you must have a PC to access KMD or a Ledger Nano S hardware wallet. We also have a paper wallet generator if you would like to make, print, and encrypt one offline.

Are the private keys the correct type? This paper wallet generator was originally used for making BTCD addresses. We should make sure that we can import the private keys to KMD.

Yes, they are 100% compatible. However, when you import them into the KMD wallet, you will use the base58 compressed key which starts with a U. When you create a wallet, you see a privatekey that starts with L. You copy it, paste it in "Wallet Details" and you will see the compressed wif. Regardless, the paper wallet generator tool will allow you to re-generate your compressed version if you have the privkey that starts with "7". ie:

From my view there's an issue with managing expectation. The site has been down for a while and my kmd, for one, have been stuck in purgatory. That's my bad for not moving the coins off earlier (thought i have to say into a wallet that's in beta). I really don't care about the day to day but this particular issue has been going on for awhile now. Is it asking too much to request that we as shareholders get a daily (or whatever) update on the progress/blocks on this particular issue. Again i mean this with all respect, it's a question of managing expectations

I'd shelve my expectations for a while as there's plenty of new things in development, there should be lots of new assets being created ready for sale soon......maybe even the odd air drop.....just to keep the plebs quite.....mmmmm air drop. However what MoneyJ says may work in terms of keeping KMD ... I would say: Do not ever use computers you do not own (not sure if they are secure!) for anything which requires security, for example money transfers!!!. Does not matter if this is your friend computer or internet caffe. If they got keylogger you loose your founds. And you can only be relatively sure about security of the device that you use and you know how well you secure them. Cruptocurrency is new tech and KMD as well... Supernet team needs time to develop so many ideas. So you need to have a proper computer with linux/windows to use that tech which is on early stage yet. That's the reason why KMD is valuable investment now - when there will be everything finished the price will be much higher. 5-10x then now? Who knows... Many of other platforms got even higher value however they deliver less value already.

Your expectation should be that the ICO site will be made live when we feel it is secure and accurate. With all the recent hacks, I think it is better to err on the side of caution than to push ahead quickly and end up with lost funds. We are aware of the issue. We are working on it. Our priority is the safety of funds. You can assume that given the lack of any announcement that nothing has changed. Contrary to what people who are not familiar with the details of the ICO site have said, it is not just an easy thing to update. Any mistake is liable to cost people real funds. So, please be patient. The ICO site is not anything to do with the blockchain directly, but it does have direct impact on the coins. Unfortunately the contractors that created the site are no longer available to work on the site they created. So we are having to bring it inhouse, even though this is not anything we planned to. tl:dr We are proceeding with caution and will get the ICO site live as soon as it prudent

jl777, a side question regardin ICO - as you fully know how it works - do you think it's possible to build ICO managing platform based on blockchain, so that it could be easy and safe to manage it? For example using Supernet platform? why I'm asking is the parallel of gold rush an shovels - like the saying "the most money on gold rush did shovel producers". Might be that ICO platform in ICO rush times be shovel for making money? This obviously requires not only a safe backgroud platform but an easy and intuitive UI. This could be sth like a real usage for Agama wallet for example and a revenue source? PS Possibly ICO and simmilar funding solutions will be the future - as you can get funds on global scale, which before crypto was very hard. Obviously there will be many scams initially, but like with scam coins didnt kill BTC, scam ICOs will not kill ICOs, it will jut evolve...

It seems to be a purely application layer and even a centralized one. So while SuperNET could develop such, it isnt really our charter. Maybe there can be some decentralized organization governance built into the entire process. OK, so, yes, it is possible.
