I cant get it to verify, use this format and put it in "code" (# next to the typewriter)

Code:
-----BEGIN BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----
2/24/15 - Meat - 0.3 BTC loan BTC Talk
-----BEGIN SIGNATURE-----
<insert address here>
<insert signature here>
-----END BITCOIN SIGNED MESSAGE-----

Not sure what you mean...I wrote the message in coinbase and that's the code it spit out to me.

You need to post the signature lol

If you are on your computer and hover your mouse over the dotted lines then it will tell you when the post was last edited and by who. If it has been a very long time since it was edited then it would probably still be okay (but is still less secure then an unedited post)

Ah ok, I see thanks...but there are no dotted lines on the post I linked...I'm guessing it's because I am the poster. Can someone confirm on the link I posted above?

Or does that mean I never edited it?
if there is no dotted lines then it was not edited. If you happened to press edit but never saved the edit then well it wouldn't have registered that you edited the post.

OK well that is a good thing then...I never edited the post then. I just mentioned editing because initially when I said I had a post from 2013, I saw the edit option was still available, and not knowing you could check last edit, figured that wouldn't mean anything if I could just go in now and add the same address.

That being said, you can see from the post I linked above the same address was in my possession in 2013 as is in my sig now.

Yep, confirmed. So please sign a message using that address stating today's date with something along the lines of "meat 0.3btc loan".

The lender will probably ask for a different message to confirm that the account is collateral.

Signed it with the following:

2/24/15 - Meat - 0.3 BTC loan BTC Talk

I am not sure your account (nor reputation) is worth .3 btc. Do you happen to have anything else to offer as collateral?

Are you able to provide a signed message from an old address associated with your account in order to prove ownership?

I believe he could sign this 1HT2D1vb7xqxngG7dMohGwkWEK1rSuPthA. This was the address I always sent to when loaning meat.

Unfortunately I cannot sign that one...that is from the Mycelium bitcoin wallet and they have since changed (they change your BTC address every single transaction as opposed to in the past where you kept the same one throughout)

Outside of my account I don't have other collateral...if no one is able to loan me that is fine, just thought I'd ask here first before pursuing other options.

The one in my sig is coinbase and doesn't change, let me check to see if I posted a while back anywhere (I did find a post from 2013 where I used it but I also realized I still had the ability to edit that post so that doesn't add much value...which is kinda stupid you can edit posts 2 years old)

If you quote a post, you can see the last editing time

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=197322.0

There's the post from 2013, uses same address as in my sig.

I don't see last edit time anywhere though? It hasn't been edited so if you can show me where it is that would be cool, thanks.

You have the option to do it.
Just click on the right upside corner and click sign a messege, then you choose ur address and that is it.
Easy!

Oh I can sign the address in my sig no problem...I mean I can't go back and sign the address I had months ago that marco sited.

You might be able to find that address in your mycelium wallet files, maybe?

The only history I see are transactions and I can only see my last 10, which is nowhere near old enough to get to where I used that address.

Will the new version still use the same mobile app? Or will there be a new mobile app (or none)?
52  Economy / Gambling / Re: Seals With Clubs, Bitcoins Biggest Poker Site, Shuts Down on: February 20, 2015, 08:57:24 PM
Sad to see one of the oldest bitcoin gambling sites go, but at least Micon is planning to run a new poker site soon.
I wonder how soon would that be. Could be months away.

I hope Micon's "soon" is different from Stunna's "soon" lol. Tongue

He's already posted a new thread about it.

What I don't understand is why they announced a closing if they were set to open V2 in a few days?

Read the entire statement on the website and your question will be answered
53  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: February 20, 2015, 06:56:07 PM
What about people who were actively playiong when site went down?  I was able to cashout my balance that I did not have on a table, but the  800 chips that WERE on tables were not sent to me.  Emailed hdev and no reply.

Email h@sealswithclubs.eu

edit: Just saw you said you emailed him. I emailed him, he replied and credited my account within 5 minutes

They could do a better job of setting expectations about when they will be back, then i wouldn't have worn out the refresh button on twitter waiting for an update.

That's the main part that pisses me off.  I feel trolled.

I fully expected there to be legal problems at some point, which is looking like what happened.  Who knows, though, when we get nothing but bullshit from the site itself.

exactly, I just didn't sugar coat it not saying mule did. More then pissed off at expecting the site to come back soon but having to find out the truth from another forum.

You also have to consider that they really aren't in a position to put these things out there publicly right now...especially if is it problems with the DOJ for example.

They are being very accommodating as far as letting people cash out...I was missing 485 chips from my account that were on the table when the site went down...I emailed Hdev and he credited them to my account and I was able to cash them out no problem.

Obviously I'm not happy the site is down and I would like to know exactly what's going on...but the way they've handled the cashouts makes me believe there is a legit reason they aren't just coming out and saying exactly what's going on yet.

I`m selling my 0.26 BTC for 71 USD.

You can pay with any major credit car: Visa, Master, Disco or Amex.

This is how to proceed: you buy for me an item on Zappos website that costs 71 USD and I pay you 0.26 BTC.

Rules:
1) Escrow accepted from any reputable escrow guys on this forum
2) BTC will be released from escrow 12 days after you pay me. For the next orders the period may be reduced to 3-4 days.

Why would BTC be released from escrow after 12 days? Why wouldn't they just release it when the item arrived?
59  Economy / Currency exchange / Need .12 BTC for Paypal/Venmo/Chase Quickpay/Moneypak/Vanilla on: February 03, 2015, 03:03:45 PM
Will ONLY deal with a trusted member.

Would prefer not to use moneypak or vanilla because $4 and $5 is a very high fee for this size transaction...but will use if I can't find another option with someone.

Thanks
