v.2.0.1 is probably for the batch 3 miners.  Just a guess.
Yes I can confirm this.. Ver 2.0.1 will not be compatible. This is what I was told from a reliable source
Anyone want to buy my set up? I am done with this. Send me PM if interested..

anyone who has latest firmware running and producing some hash

please let me know the software you used to mount it, think its causing mine to bug out.
I have the latest batch one V0.0.3 and batch two V1.0.3
They are both hashing. To create the image I used a program for Macs called Apple-Pi-Baker
On windows sorry I do not know what to use..

I would say, give it a try and see if it makes any difference.
Mine are running fine at 50c not dropping but a very few times this past week.
For me, I do see a pool dependence on how stable the boards are.
I just reversed my fans and it is still early but the first 30 minutes it has dropped the temp by about 2c
I am now running 34-36c down from 36-40c
Please if you try this do so at your own risk.. I will keep you informed on my testing temps with fans reversed after a day or so.

The numbers may be deceiving depending on where the temp sensor is mounted.

After reading the horror posts here and elsewhere.... I'm relying on a hunch that a few box fans to help get chip temps down may be able to help the avoid restart issues.

I am not expert but my A2s did not have this problem due to much bigger tower chassis and temps are manageable. This new shoebox like chassis design definitely has not been thought through and has become a heat magnet... and it is serious enough to offline boards.

I have discussed with my ISP on my batch of 6 x A4s arriving at their DC next week, and perhaps paying attention to where the A4s are located in the DC to get lowest ambient temps, and getting box fans for good measure to further aid cooling of chip temps.

If all that fails.... let me know where is the tallest bridge, so that I can contemplate jumping off it ...  Huh

Well if you think temps are a factor, here are mine; Mine are all between 46c to 50C and I see board drops.
I believe it states the normal temp should not exceed 40c and I can say for sure since it has got cold outside mine have been more steady. I wonder what would happen if you flipped the fan to push air instead of pulling the air.

My Batch 1 ver 0.0.3 seems to be better on litecoinpool.. The hash rate is unstable still but no dropped cards yet and it hashes anywhere from 250-270mhs been running for 1day 02h 15m 18 with no re-starts

My batch 2 single unit on 1.0.3 likes to hash right at 130Mhs but sometimes drops to 125mhs.
I dropped the mv to 807-810 on both batches.. I see no improvement at 820mv except they use more energy
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: A4 Dominator - Pre-Order Group Buy - 280mh, roughly 1000w, $1800 + shipping on: November 18, 2016, 05:32:39 PM
I thought you had protection +\- 10% and you could get redress. Or were they just blowing smoke
And you are stuck?

Well, while nicehash runs at around 230MHs pool-side, other pools do better. When I run on hash-to-coins, I get around 270MHs, similar to litecoinpool, where I also get around 260-270.
I think it's an issue specific to nicehash. By the time I mine some off-brand coin, pay fees to transfer to an exchange, pay trading fees to get it into BTC, and pay more fees to ship back to my wallet, I think it's pretty much a wash. Nicehash pays daily directly in BTC and avoids the headaches of pool swapping and exchanges.
That said, I had added a pool swap feature to the A4 GUI because they really need that...
Without it, you have to either edit on the GUI or update the flat file manually.
I am getting similar results as you. I have a batch 1 set and a single batch 2. Litecoinpool.org does seem to be the most stable. I tried prohash.com all last night with this latest software and it is way better but now there profits have gone way down below litecoinpool since the A4 release

I just received new firmware from Dominique @ Innosillicon.  V1.0.3

https://www.dropbox.com/s/fuyz1r7cy4pkeir/G5-20-V1.0.3.rar?dl=0

I am testing now.

To be honest I have had no troubles with version 1.0.0(T) as long as the machines run in a cold environment.

If anyone is interested I have had them on MRR for the past couple days so you can see my hash rate here:   http://rig.rent/rigs/34677

X

Update:  2hrs hashing with new firmware on half my units.  No dropped cards or cgminer restarts

Update #2:  After 4hrs the cgminer in the newest firmware stops/restarts automatically.  All hash boards were running after restart.  Hash rate seems to be a little better with this version.  Will run and see how it does over the next 24 hrs.
Is this update for batch 1 or batch 2.. Thanks..

Got this in the mail today..... dang... I placed an order recently - and I want the new price not the old price.
Also, they really need to fix the firmware issues first... before doing a firesale! I am speechless.

Maybe they need to fix the miner before running sales like this.. After owning this I would not recommend to anyone to buy at this time.
The price will only continue to go down. This is a 245Mhs mining rig not 280Mhs. False advertising until they fix the problem if it can be fixed

Well after running the v1.0.0 vs v1.0.2 for 24 hours side by side.  The v1.0.0T is far more stable than v1.0.2.  I have been battling the v1.0.2 and it just will not stay up.  Constant cycling/restarting, dropping cards.  I would suggest everyone stay away from the v1.0.2.  Not that v1.0.0T is a gem by any means, but the two compared side by side the v1.0.0T wins.

I swear the A4's are going to drive me to drink!  I hope we can get this sorted out soon.  If we can get these working reliably as my A2 used to hash then I would be interested in buying a couple more of these.  But until we can get this crash, drop cards, instability issues fixed I will be holding off.
I can confirm at least for me V.0.0.2 for Batch 1 is not better. I just switched back to original batch one software.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: A4 Dominator - Pre-Order Group Buy - 280mh, roughly 1000w, $1800 + shipping on: November 13, 2016, 05:35:49 PM
Finally got my cables issues sorted for my PSU that powers the second A4.  Finally got it running today.  It is running the 1.0.0T version of the software and so far has stayed up since I started it.  Can't say that for the 1.0.2 version.  That thing is as stable as a one legged chair.  If the pattern continues into tomorrow I will reimage the the 1.0.2 back to the stock build.  This is just nuts.  I mean the stock build is far from stable, but my 1.0.2 is crazy unstable.

Of course LTC drops like a rock after we get the A4's.  Go figure.

Most I get on 1.0.0T is about 48 hours before card drops but I can stop the miner, and start it a couple of times to get the cards back online without having to power cycle.

I agree on 1.0.2 -- its basically worthless to use.
Thank you for the info. I am running 1.0.0 on my single batch 2 and was wondering if I should try the update.. So far I have not seen any improvements in any updates. Batch one latest update did not seem to help but it is to early to tell. Still testing. That would be V0.0.2 for Batch one only

Anyone get the new firmware v0.0.2 to work for Batch 1? I am getting
Error getting device list: ERR: socket connect(0) failed  Angry

Yes, works great using the stock settings that come preconfigured from Inno. 815Mv/1200Mhz.
Note that Batch 1 machines were built before 15th Oct. Check the sticker on the back plate.
The other way you can tell them from Batch 2, 3, etc is that when you power them on the red light stays on solid before you start mining.
With the batch 2 + miners it flashes until the card starts hashing.

HTH.
Yes for sure I have batch one... I tried it again just now and it worked.. Just started mining will see how it goes.. Thanks.. BTW what is the best version to use for batch 2.. I have a single unit that is batch 2 also..Thanks

I have to power cycle each of mine at least twice a day.
What version are you using and what mv are you set at, and what MHz?
V1.0.2
815
1200

815mv is to high. That is why you keep crashing. I have found anything over 810mv is to high at least for me it causes problems. I like anywhere from 800-810 depending on pool.

Try this just for grins and see how your miner does. Go to
www.f2pool.com
Set up with 807mv 1200Mhz and see what kind of results you get. Use stock image.

UPDATE ON THIS POOL:: I just had a card crash!! Same problem after a somewhat stable run of about 20 hours I just lost a card even set at lower voltage!!! So never mind!!...  Sad

I mine over at ProHash.com and I asked them if they would add Britcoin as a option to be paid out in and looks like there going to add it. So if you have a script asic machine you can mine on prohash and be paid in Britcoin.

There's nothing at ProHash.com... Did you get the address wrong, firehawk71?
Hello, sorry when I made the announcment about Prohash it was a bit pre-mature.. But it is there now.. They are script mining coin switch pool so you can use any script Asic to get Britcoin over at Prohasing.com
Once you join just go into settings and select the drop down menu for the coin you want to be paid in and you will now see Britcoin.  Grin

ProHashing.com you mean.  Nice; that's big news!

Yep sorry about that spelling ..lol.. You got it though.. I was the one that asked them to add it.. if you scroll up on that thread my screen name there is CritterDog.. I was looking at your coin and thought it would be a good fit there..  Grin

You guys are doing better than I am then.  On the miner side it indicates 265-270.  Usually around 270.  BUT, on the pool side it is in the 240-250 range.  So where it matters on the pool side it is coming up short.  The hard part is getting a nice solid stable run.  Mine went into a good 12-15 hours of nonstop restarts yesterday evening, all night and into the morning this morning.  It just finally calmed down about 8 hours ago.

So when it is stable it still isn't quite measuring up on the pool side for what it is rated.  If they had kept the MHS rating at 260 then this miner is close enough to that to say it is a 260mhs miner, but when they raised it to 280mhs this miner is falling well short of that on the pool side.  Even on the miner itself it clearly pegs itself at 270mhs on the miner side.  So they really need to re-rate these at 260mhs and charge accordingly for it.  But until they are stable and not constantly restarting it just won't matter.

This is why I keep telling people popping into this thread wanting to pull the trigger on an A4 to "WAIT".  I know it is hard when you really need and want the latest miner, but the A4 is not stable and not ready for prime time.  Unless you want a full time babysitting job with these miners wait until Inno gets us a solid software release that can stabilize these miners and hopefully bump the hash rate up to what it was rated at on the pool side.  What the miner says in the GUI means nothing if you are not getting those numbers on the pool.

Just my 2 cents.
Your hash numbers are about like mine.. Are you on litecoinpool or prohash? Also what is you voltage your running.

Hello I am new to this coin. is there any problems with the mac wallet before I start downloading it? Thanks

No problems as far as I know and I'm synced with a Mac. It may take a little while however as the blockchain is relatively large, the coin's been going since 2014.

By the way, I've put a new blockchain bootstrap file in the OP.  Not sure where it goes on Mac computers though.

The new wallet version 3.3 will not open on my Mac as soon as I double click it just crashes I get error this program has unexpectidy quit.
Any ideas?

Weird. Is there anything already in your ~/Library/Application Support/Britcoin folder? If so, delete it and try again. It worked for me.

I was a tester for the version before it was released and this is where I was directed to download it, try this if the above doesn't work:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/p5n7cr3a2tvxt4i/britcoin-qt-osx-v3.3.0.0.zip?dl=0

Only download from official links.

Fair enough Leigh but that link was personally given to me from Mo.

It's just bad practice, not saying your up to anything though.
Maybe I did something wrong. When it dowloaded it already had a app icon like it did not "install" like most wallets do. Maybe that is the problem?
