By the looks of it they are more concerned with sales right now then fixing current issues.  I really think they need an associate here to answer questions.  A good amount of sales can be made (me being one of them) so long as i know they are not going to go the route of knc.....we shall see

Got this in the mail today..... dang... I placed an order recently - and I want the new price not the old price.
Also, they really need to fix the firmware issues first... before doing a firesale! I am speechless.

Maybe they need to fix the miner before running sales like this.. After owning this I would not recommend to anyone to buy at this time.
The price will only continue to go down. This is a 245Mhs mining rig not 280Mhs. False advertising until they fix the problem if it can be fixed

I agree with everything wheelz says, I'd really like to get one of these up and running but thanks to this thread I'm very worried.

ya tbh, that slap in the face promo above there will secure that i DON'T buy one of these, wow, so happy i refused to go in on the pre-order now Sad

not only is it a joke promo (15-30$ savings on 1800?) , but you can GUARANTEE their buyers have already lost at least 30$ (prob a week per machine) for underperformance. :\

No, it's very clear , starting with not accepting BTC, now shameless selling while customers suffer, nope, they want $$$ more then to give support.
not for me this round, darn you inno, you have lost my faith. Sad

And i own A2's, love them, they really are reliable, let's hope these get there but im personally not even looking for atleast 6 months at these now :/

good luck guys

Unfortunately in 6 months at the same price this unit might not be ever profitable.  I dont know that (cant predict difficulty over 6 months) but each day they waste not fixing their firmware issues will hamper sales.  Been looking for new scrypt miners to pair with my titans and thought these would be the ones.   Sad

Yeah I passed on the a4's as adding to titans too. Got 2 5 card gpu rigs for zcash. Probably
also dumb. But with 2 year warranties and other uses then eventual ASIC doorstops well it has
a meh.....kinda toy justification I guess. Still may be as dumb a purchase thou as 2 a4's

Old Style Legacy Plug & Play BBS System. Get it from www.synchro.net. Updated 1/1/2021. It also works with Windows 10 and likely 11 and allows 16 bit DOS game doors on the same Win 10 Machine in Multi-Node! Five Minute Install! Look it over it uninstalls just as fast, if you simply want to look it over. Freeware! Full BBS System! It is a frigging hoot!:)

See if you can get the v1.0.0T here.  I just uploaded it, but I have no idea if it is accessible.

I turned down my zcash machines today, pointed them back to Monero.  I could have made maybe a few bucks more on zcash for a few days, but I believe XMR might fare better in the long run.

I wonder if Inno is going to continue charging a premium for using BTC with this sale.  I'm not willing to pull the trigger until the firmware shapes up.  Odd that they run a promotion before we get a stable product.

I didn't even get the email announcing the sale.  So maybe they already removed me from their mailing list! LOL

If it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all.  Looks like my PSU on the second miner has already bit the dust.  The PSU keeps shutting down, and now won't start.  So I just ordered a replacement and will see if I can get Corsair to honor their 10 year warranty... I am not holding my breath at this point.

If Inno would let us buy these for BTC at this sale price right now I am willing to bet they would sell some units right now.  Even with the problems which I think Inno will get sorted out and the community when they can get their hands on the open source software will probably do some pretty cool things with the A4's.  But the wire transfer thing is costly, and time consuming.  That is really a huge negative.  So Inno if you are listening let us order these for BTC at the sale price right now and you will sell some units.  I might even go out on a limb and order another A4 right now if you were to extend that offer to BTC.  Please consider this as an option and provide us your BTC address.  Grin

I just received new firmware from Dominique @ Innosillicon.  V1.0.3

https://www.dropbox.com/s/fuyz1r7cy4pkeir/G5-20-V1.0.3.rar?dl=0

I am testing now.

To be honest I have had no troubles with version 1.0.0(T) as long as the machines run in a cold environment.

If anyone is interested I have had them on MRR for the past couple days so you can see my hash rate here:   http://rig.rent/rigs/34677

Update:  2hrs hashing with new firmware on half my units.  No dropped cards or cgminer restarts

The 45 day warranty would be a concern for me if I was first batch right now. From my understanding 1st batch units have different firmware than 2nd batch units? If I got this
right..they could just walk from support after 45 days on such first batch stuff. (Not like it looks they are not bothering with support anyway ...just saying)

All very strange.....

Only makes sense if this is like Sfards and a side angle for a bit..with the bulk already gone or going to some or all of the big data hall IPO investors.....a wave the flag on this for a month
make the company look good..use the rest of the masked chips....and poof.....

then meh....move on to other things with your nice 14nm production line.....lots better chips to make with that infrastructure in place now bought by the IPO $$$ then ASIC miners.

From the sidelines this just looks real weird to me. No clue.

Update #2:  After 4hrs the cgminer in the newest firmware stops/restarts automatically.  All hash boards were running after restart.  Hash rate seems to be a little better with this version.  Will run and see how it does over the next 24 hrs.

Thanks for this and this update, I moved mine to a very cool room and noticed similar results, I think I'm on day 3 now without a card drop but I have seen restarts on 1.0.0T.

I'm downloading this update but I'm definitely going to wait and see yours and others results before I mess with it as I jumped on 1.0.2 when it came out and that was a mistake.

Fortunately I purchased a 2nd SD card so its easy for me to switch between versions, unfortunately I have to take a trip in the car to change it out now.

I have 1 unit dropped board 3 times in 1 hour.

Im dropping in the v1.0.3 into my miner with the dropping blades to see if that helps.
One difference I see is that its pre configured to run at 820mv instead of 815.

Has anyone tried any of the "Low Power" modes to see if they are more stable?

So-far,  no luck with the v1.0.3, same 2 blades keep dropping within minutes of starting.

When I received mine, it was configured at 800mhz and I ran it for about 24 hours with 800mv

The highest I went with 800mv was 1000mhz, it wasn't until I switched to 1200mhz did I start having board drop issues.

So any indications to how many of these will actually be produced? Scrypt was good for the past few years because there was always a shortage of ASICs and difficulty was never much of an issue.
