41  Economy / Economics / Re: You should never trust banks on: November 30, 2016, 09:28:13 PM
Have never heard of this in the U.K and it seems a little odd and most likely not a patterned trend right now.
Suspect there is a miscommunication and its either being exploited or ignored to cause you some struggle.
Without understanding the finer details or amount its hard to gauge what happened and if it is as you state,I would be looking to contact the media and seeing if others have fallen into the same situation.
Having read the 3 pages I still find something lacking to really believe this story as stated, feels like you are leaving out some details that may be on purpose.
42  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Skrill Allows BTC now? on: November 30, 2016, 07:08:38 PM
This must be a local thing, just logged onto my skrill and did not see a option which did not shock me. Seems Europe and Americans get a lot more options when it comes to neteller, paypal and skrill. Starting to think I should contact my relatives in Scotland to see if I can setup shop there as a secondary address.
43  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Cyberdeck Poker - Flagship of the Enterra Bitcoin Poker Network on: November 30, 2016, 06:00:14 PM
Dug this thread up thinking that there might be some news to find into what was going on with it!
It was looking to be a decent site,is this project wrapped up or just taking a siesta?
Had some issues playing on it but they where pretty on top of the cheating from what I could see.

45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone from ITALY want to comment on BTC and bad banks? on: November 30, 2016, 02:26:38 AM
This is very interesting, have really not been keeping up with news from Europe but always was curious why Italy did not fall right after Greece.
Hearing little news out of Greece as well, made me think something was about to happen.
We seem to be all screwed financially around the world and yet we just keep walking the plank.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: WTF is this whole CHIP deal? on: November 29, 2016, 08:54:13 PM
Think it was the cost that was keeping Americans from switching over and there was a bit of push back till the hacking issues started to dictate change to protect the consumer. This still has flaws and I think you need to put the cards in one of those wallets that does not allow skim readers to pick you off if you are in close proximity.
Imagine there are more advanced ways now but that was one of the issues when it was pushed here.

Like a lot of products there is usually a backroom agenda, here our Driver licenses are getting connected to our health cards.
I talked to a friend that is in the government side and the reason for this had to do with there being 3 times as many health cards than people in our Province(Canada). Reason for this is kind of funny as well as I thought it has something to do with the Chinese but its actually Americans coming across the border to take advantage of the health care. Go figure.
47  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin stops the bullets, says stefan Molyneux on: November 29, 2016, 08:42:06 PM
I like watching his videos but sometimes I feel he is working off a need to keep creating videos and stretches his opinions a little to thin. As for the line of thought you are bringing up,nothing ever changes in the world when it comes to power. Bitcoin would not change this either, even if it was excepted as the main currency of the world.
Money buys sway to a point, there are always other factors that push a narrative in the likes of war.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: blockchain development vs bitcoin on: November 29, 2016, 08:36:42 PM
Short term it will cause bitcoin to rise, long term it may end up being a problem as we spread out in the crypto world.
If more people are using blockchain related tech it may start to suppress bitcoin due to people understanding the technology in a different way than say bitcoin use. So people will not understand the connection or think a newer product suits their needs more, like a altcoin or stupid government sponsered coins.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Europe wants to ban blockchain technology? on: November 29, 2016, 08:33:37 PM
I could see a push to ban bitcoin but not the technology,it would fly in the face of advancement in technology.
They would have some push back from areas that they would not even be taking into account, such as similar products that banks are planning to use.
Do not see this as being to big a problem as it will take a majority in Europe to get this pushed through.

The chance of this happening are less than the EU falling apart and the latter seems to be more likely at this time.

Seems to be a problem with the daily coin, forgive me if this has been addressed before but I found it misleading.

I won a ticket into the Step 1 and proceeded to win it,thinking that the lobby info was correct in stating
"Double or Nothing - Top 50% of players receive ticket to Step 2. 1st is also refunded buyin via TM."!

So I got no refund back and contacted support to be told the promo is no longer active,to which I ask why is it still showing up in the lobby?
Change it or honor what you state, otherwise it misleads people when they can just bounce out as soon as half the field is gone.

Sure this has been addressed before, since it is a pretty popular freeroll, but I wanted to add my two cents to the issue.

Not sure why they havent changed it in the lobby but they indeed changed it on the dailycoin promo page betcoin.ag/bonuses/coin

Agreed!  Tournament money was removed from the entire system including ACR and others over a year ago!  We are hoping to have all of this updated within the next 2-3 weeks as well as a couple new innovations.  We appreciate your support and we will get everyone taken care of.  What is your ticket number or login name?

Was able to play in the daily and really enjoyed it, will try to win my way in again.
My screen name is Blindme, just joined the site now having a new computer.

Glad you enjoyed it.  The Daily Coin continues to grow and we will be adding some pieces to it very soon here among other tournaments as well.  We have also addressed your matter in a pm and would like to also create a ticket therefore keep us posted.  Thank you.

As I stated in the response back that I had already received a response on the issue about compensation and was told there would be none, which I felt to be wrong but moving on. I am happy to read the issue will be addressed though because it is misleading to have it in the lobby and not honor it.
Thanks for looking into it,will move on from here and hopefully in a few weeks you will have changed the lobby or I will be in this thread once again. Wink

52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: San Francisco Metro System Hacked with Ransomware [Paid $70,000 in Bitcoin] on: November 28, 2016, 06:26:40 PM
The way some of these organizations react to hacking, tells me they are way in over their heads. Shutting down all the terminals, shows that they think they can stop the spread, not realizing he already had control. Bitcoin is just to easy to use and hackers tend to know the latest tech on the scene. Wink
53  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: November 28, 2016, 04:52:52 AM
This site had so much potential and could have stepped into the fold to be the number one but for some reason was set on wasting away and doing little to interest any one. They knew they had a image problem and yet they just continued to shoot themselves in the foot by not addressing anything. Guessing they go the way Luckyflop.eu went and 2017 looks like that year.
54  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Canadian Prime minister Justin Trudeau is Fidel Castros bastard son on: November 28, 2016, 04:44:55 AM
The interesting aspect of this thread is the timing gives you away more than you would think.
You take exception to the condolence Canada gave by our Prime Minister to the late Fidel Castro and are drumming up a tabloid story to create a fake rabbit hole. Why not look at why Americans believe so much about the story line about Socialism being bad.
Might be a harder sell but at least you are being honest in what you are doing!

These are honestly sites I had no idea where even around, appreciate the links, especially the one relating to fees. Seems to be a aspect I never thought about shopping around to see who is better at keeping costs down. Appreciate the help KenR and Bitcoinnewsmagazine. Smiley
Will put this on watch so I do not lose the links with my shaky memory.
57  Economy / Economics / Re: Bogus on: November 27, 2016, 06:50:27 PM
The opec will fail to reach an agreement with the big players and we will see prices drop as low as $25 next year. Look at their track record. Oil will crash hard.

I see OPEC coming to a agreement in the 1st quarter of the year, they can not afford to keep playing cat and mouse now with current global dynamics shifting against them.
The one aspect I find interesting with all the negative news about oil price is the Oil Sands(Tar Sands) are getting ready to ramp up and most projects need $60 a barrel, some can get by with $40.
So they are not going to put more money in if they expect oil to keep this downward trend or stay where it is. They get a little closer with each talk.

This talk about oil going away is crazy, the use of oil is not just for cars! Grin

Where did you get this idea from?

No one here is talking about oil going away. It is more about not using it as a source of energy anymore. Other than that, crude oil has a lot of applications beyond just burning it or distillates processed from it, for example, in chemical synthesis (plastics and other synthetic materials), in the production of fertilizers and lubricants, and likely in many other fields that I haven't even heard about. Even food can be made from it (margarine), though I wouldn't touch it, let alone eat it

Its a general statement reflecting how people see oil and I am very familiar with the use of oil, must have been another thread recently that I stated such.
You are correct to ask me to define such a statement as I did not make that clear, was more of a off hand comment to exaggerate the view point.
My main point was more about OPEC though and how they are not going to keep at this habit of walking away from one another.

58  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Fidel Castro Dies at 90. Today is the day Cuba is .. on: November 27, 2016, 06:33:56 PM
Fidel and Raul are very similar,in fact Raul is more extreme in a lot of aspects when it comes to the Socialist bend.
True change will not come under him either,in fact the changes right now are out of survival with the other Socialist superpowers all falling apart.
Would not dance on Fidels grave but I also do not shed any tears for the man as long as the people suffer for believing in or being forced to believe in a different way of life.

Can't agree with that statement. Rail seems to be a moderate compared to Fidel. I agree that before assuming power, he had a reputation for being a ruthless extremist. But his policies have changed since then. He has become more moderate and conciliatory. He is solely responsible for the recent upswing in the relations with the United States.

Really see no other options for Raul and you can tell he was opening up with gritted teeth when he had to make any public address.
Obama had to take some serious barbs/jabs his direction for keeping Cuba stifling under their thumb for so long. Raul is no dummy I do not see Cuba turning a new leaf so easily without a bigger picture in mind. Venezuela falling into disarray really cost Cuba a leg to stand on and I think this is just a emergency measure, since they do not want to be owned by Russia or China for the most part.
You may be right in Raul softening with age though because the old Raul would have bit off his arm before following through with this current set up.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What does a President Trump mean for Bitcoin? on: November 27, 2016, 12:51:19 AM
I imagine that there are to many foreign policies for Trump to figure out and walk away from to give bitcoin the time of day in the first 2 years. Was hoping online poker may get a look but I am starting to see its going to be a slow moving government for the most part till they get setup.

Fidel Castro wasn't such dictator as Kim Jong Un or presidents of few African countries. But he was one of the most important persons in XX century.
Not long time ago Cuba renewed diplomatic relations to USA. But it's stil comunist country and situation won't change in nearest future. Dinasty of Castro have big power and respect from citizens of Cuba. Economy of Cuba is weak and many people in this country are poor.
But for me it's very strange and nice to see pictures of Cuba, where people rides with classic american cars made in mid of previous century or old cars made in Soviet Union.

All I stated was he was not the worst out of the two brothers. As for the history, who is to know really if it could have worked,to many powers where limiting Socialism from breathing,it forced odd bed fellows to come together. I never really liked how the whole Che aspect went down and that for me was what made me not a big fan of Fidel.
