I see we're more than half way back after yesterday's deep correction/profit-taking... currently $4858USD/$6079CAD (Bitcoinaverage).
AltCash continues to slip... currently $313USD/$391CAD (Coinmarketcap).
While a little consolidation is good, I think it's about time we moved on up to a new ATH.

Guys, any idea on wtf is this:  It happens from time to time on Bitcoinwisdom. Now it's back to normal though. Is it some kind of bug? Yes, that is because of Bitcoin.de. There was a transaction of 0.01 BTC at 07:28:54 @ 5999.41 EUR. Seems like Bitcoinwisdom is just taking the last Prices of Kraken and Bitcoin.de and divides the sum by 2. |

On Bitfinex I am still lending out 6.22481641BTC @ 0.718600% a day and 0.03884257 BTC @ 0.719400% a day. No idea why. Maybe this/the guy(s) know more than me. Their positions (if used) must be in hell now.

Drat... I sold the last of once cold stored BTC at €2600, and now we are at €3225...  Didn't expect the climb after the pump, so did not buy back. And now, waiting for a correction (they always come) before buying back. Most of you will lose your fortunes on the way to the top just like this. When I try to submit a lending offer, I get "not enough BTC available in deposit wallet" which is not true.

My angle remains that XT, Classic and now BU are either aimed or have effects that are attempting to undermine bitcoin "as is"... ... so we will see how all of that plays out, and whether bitcoin is going to be able to preserve its value in one form or another regarding a secure decentralized and immutable system that allows for the storage and transferring of value Okay let's remove any possibility of ambiguity then. Are you against increasing the transfer capacity of the bitcoin network, yes or no? Just yes or no. no So why do you want to stay at the current 1 MB? You can't have it both ways. First of all. I did not have 2-factor enabled. But as per their recent statement "In a subsequent investigation, our security team also received direct confirmation from Cloudflare that Nitrogen's data was not included in the Cloudbleed HTTPS traffic leak, as suggested by the player. "
I do not want to jump conclusions, but according to the recent incidents there, it does smell fishy...

interested to hear an update for this Their support was very responsive. Had a long discussion on my ticket. Got almost instant replies. Now comes the worse part: They confirmed that no failed login attempts to my account were recorded at the time the withdrawal happened. They are not willing to provide me the IP address the withdrawal was initiated from. They are not willing to provide me their address to include in the police report that I will file. I believe this was an inside job. I gave them a deadline of 48 hours to refund me of which a little less than 28 hours are left. After the deadline I will file a police report and instruct my lawyer to sue them. Good luck to both of us. |

Gold ounce parity does not matter at all. Why parity to an ounce compared to 1 BTC? Why not to a Satoshi? Or to a kg of Gold? Pointless... Edit: The only comparison that could make sense (not saying that it does) would be that of good old rpietila who once compared the total supply of BTC with that of Gold. He came up with 300k USD per BTC. I never bothered to confirm his calculation though. In addition the total supply of gold is not fixed. There might be new supplies coming up (new mines on planet earth, some even unannounced; new supplies from outside-world mines; alchemy..). |
