41  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Women And Liberals Are MORE Likely To Support Censorship, Hold Double Standards on: October 04, 2019, 03:08:00 PM
Bu bu but... feminism is about equality right?

On that topic I would assume many of these people would feel as women that is justifiable to punch or attack a man under certain circumstances but not the other way around? I am not condoning violence towards ANYONE but wouldn't true equality mean being able to sock a woman in the face in self defense without being lambasted by the pc police?

There is perhaps nothing more ironic in this world than women defending islam and Islamic culture. It's like a subconscious detached case of Stockholm syndrome at work.

There's also irony in the fact that white males are seen as the most privileged group on earth but simultaneously the group under the heaviest attack from all other races and either sex. There are so many things I do that are apparently deemed racist when a) they're not and b) I don't even realize I'm doing anything "wrong" or offending anyone

Me: *breathes*
Everyone else: "you were going to say something bad about minorities weren't you?!"
Internet news site: "random white Male sighed at minority, charged with hate crime"
People in the comment section: " how intolerant!! let's go to this fuckers house and beat him to death!"
Me: "hello I'm calling to inquire about witness protection"
42  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Religion of Peace? Why Religion At All on: October 04, 2019, 02:52:02 PM
People need structure for life and for the most part, religion has fulfilled that role. As long as they keep it private I wouldn't mind. However I think the secular state should pursue those that use religion for harm (pedophile clerics, extremists inciting violence) and not let them hide behind "separation of Church and State".

It's kind of confusing sometimes since there are several interpretations of islam's teachings. Some moderate muslim can really convince you that islam is not about jihad and hate towards non-believers. I've come across some of these muslims and they're one of the most tolerant group of people i've ever encountered. And then there are the extremists who, as well all know, take the teachings of the Quran way too literally without giving ground.

Meh, wouldn't trust even "moderates" with the whole taqqiya thing floating about. You can never really be sure if they are telling you the truth when you ask them anything related to their religion.

You hit the nail on the head here. I understand the structure of life portion of the debate but I don't see the need for religious beliefs to enforce that. To each his own I suppose. I personally don't require religion as a form of structure but I can see where many others would (maybe poor quality of living, lower intellect, whatever)

Quietly practiced it's not a big deal. When others are violated as a result that's where I have a problem. Even the annoyance of JWs knocking on my door is enough to get me fired up sometimes. Pretty common occurence where I'm from. Do not come to my house and try to push your beliefs upon me. If we want to play that game I will go around knocking on their doors asking if they've heard of the gospel of bitcoin.

I've checked the other tweets all of which appear to be ok but this one is showing as disabled for me as well.

I mean what the hell copyright infringement could be going on there? Not sure which news station that's  a screen grab from.

So either Twitter hasn't fixed it, there really is infringement (doubtful), or he really is being censored.

I'd imagine everything he posts gets instantly reported by people.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Good news form North Korea on: October 03, 2019, 03:12:57 PM
This is definitely good news and thanks for sharing. Korea is very supportive of crypto/blockchain and it may be one of the first few countries who will widely use and accept crypto anywhere. Even the largest wholesale market on Korea developed their own coin as a reward to their customers, these things that they're doing will definitely help not just Korea's adoption to crypto, but is a small step towards it being used global.

Hoping that other countries will also start these initiatives and push crypto to the next level. This is such an amazing technology which solves current issues we have across different areas in the market.

As mentioned above it sounds like you're confusing north and South Korea. They may as well be different planets if you consider law and social policies.

Nothing positive comes from North Korea. In recent years there has been more propaganda than ever with journalists or photographers traveling there say it isn't that bad.

Any human with common sense can see through the bullshit. North koreans are one of if not the most oppressed people on the planet.

I watched a documentary where workers in a salt miner who had gone blind or partially blind received pro bono treatment to correct their vision. Some of these people were seeing the world again for the first time in a decade. The very first thing they did was not thank the doctor. No, they dropped to their knees and prayed to their great leader promising to mine more salt to make their government happy. That's terrifying.

Islam is RIGHT about women?  Grin
I am not believing the life after death but I love few things and hate few things of islamic religion, you may say that they are keeping women as slave but why we cannot say they are protecting them?

Ignore the practices from some Arab countries they are taking the advantages of religion and marrying more women as much as they can but its not really what it meant for the multiple marriages allowed.

Everyone in this world looking for their own benefits so they are hiding under the religious thing,in my places Muslims and all other religious people were living in peace so why we see Islam as good but some Muslims are bad.We cannot oppose everyone just because of 10% doing the things in wrong way.

This is true. I did not intend to paint all religious people as bad. There are extremists in almost every space. Any time you are using religious teachings to harm others in any way you're doing it wrong. Any time religious text tells you some subset or group of people are inferior to you, you're doing it wrong.

A point I want to make is that religion is not required to do good in this world. You can point to examples where specific churches may have helped with disaster relief or building homes for the poor, but we can accomplish these same feats without using religion as the justification to help others. Help other humans because you care about humanity not because some ancient text tells you to do so, or else.

Steem - imo. It has great community backing it, it is not without flaws however.

Steem inc promised SMT in late 2018 but it kept getting delayed, so guess what? Devs from community made their own side chain where you could create your own tokens and trade (steem-engine.com). Also new dapps keeps popping up every now and then (check trending tab on steemit.com).

Good point. I forgot about Steem... Steem will definitely be included in my final list. I can remember when certain Steem users were making $50k+ a month by publishing good content to steemit. With price fluctuations I'm sure that's not the case anymore but either way this is a good example of a project with a working product that people are already using.

P.S. I need to log back in there and see if I have any tokens I forgot about  Smiley

@BADecker

I don't give much credence to that idea that the majority of those who participate in mass worship have distinct individuality and control over their core religious beliefs.

A common denominator is participation in things like this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lakewood_Church

While tithes may be voluntary it's clear where a majority of this money actually goes.

Pick their flavor sure... but they're still suckers.

I won't argue that designs and systems in nature help inspire us to invent and create. To call nature or the universe a machine however... somewhat of a chaotic machine don't you think? One that actually breaks it's own patterns and laws in different situations.

This is something that seems to come naturally to our brains. Seeing patterns and associations where they dont belong. Like a face in a wall outlet, or animals in the clouds.

Here's a question. When you see the results of a devastating natural disaster on social media or a news site and a thousands of people comment "sending prayers", are they really doing anything? Or simply satiating their own desire to "serve" as they perceive it.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins With an Actual Working Product on: October 03, 2019, 03:10:23 AM
If you came to see a list you're not going to.. yet.

I am looking for input on various altcoins that actually have a working product. No vaporware or promised products. Only altcoins that have something working RIGHT NOW.

Please leave some comments with what you know of but be sure to link to something with substance in your post. Proof of a working product or service that is actual being used. No prototypes, no pilots, etc. This will be turned in to a nice list once more information is gathered. Doing some searching myself at the moment.

Pundi X mate, Ive seen how they are working hard to put their product around the globe. Some of their product called XPOS has been deployed already on some countries and currently working beyond the objective of PundiX, now they are trying to expedite the process of releasing more XPOS machine to use the npxs and other token into good used in their POS system.

They are solid I will agree. I use xWallet myself.

different offers from developer might gives with chance on option as investors to work on decision as releasing parts on authorization with resource on use to helps as covering supports on expending use with tasks on customs as manage with compliance.

What in the actual fuck are you talking about? Reported.

Thanks for the continued input from everyone. I will clarify one final time that I am not looking for coins that can be used in exchange to goods. Just because you can use it as a currency does not mean it's a working product. We wouldn't call US dollars a product would we?

Here's an example of a project with a working product. Decentraland.

I was searching Halloween masks last night and came across this on the first page result of "Scary Halloween Masks" hahahah "Conch Shell"...

https://www.amazon.com/Creepy-Halloween-Masks-Latex-Costume/dp/B07THZCF86/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=scary+halloween+mask&qid=1569896887&sr=8-4

 BWAHHA - "Conch shell"

" ❤【Creepy & Funny Halloween Mask】- Novelty Halloween scary mask Masquerade costume cosplay Parties masks, it is a creepy but funny Animal Masks for adults and kids.

There you go Timmy, go show grandma your Christmas conch shell mask. Good thing its durable and wont stretch out, after all who wants an old stretched out deformed conch shell?

I actually LOLed at this. Not the figurative lol but a real heavy chuckle....

"Timmy, put this mask on"

"Why mom it looks funny"

"I'm sending you back to where you came from"

The reviews spell it out pretty well. Note none of them are verified purchases.

Scroll a little further down the page and this is there too... https://www.amazon.com/Funny-Halloween-Cosplay-Masquerade-Party/dp/B07TJYYZ6R/

I find it hard to imagine anyone is actually buying these things.

@eddie13

I'm with you on that. Figured it wasn't worth a ban of negative rep so I posted here first. Tasers just as bad as I imagine they'd be? I had a heart condition as a child which has since been corrected. Nothing serious but the thought of being electrocuted scares me as a result.

Anyway, will probably lock this up soon since I've received the answers I needed. Was nice to have high ranking members provide input on this instead of a bunch of noobs saying "yeah ok sure go ahead"

Islam is RIGHT about women?  Grin

I have no answers to why religion is still around but as to why the Left protects Islam over other religions, maybe it's a subconscious want for a strong masculine figure that has slowly been erased in the West? That or the "white guilt" that has been indoctrinated into the masses. Or maybe just virtue signalling, as vegans (which are also most likely Leftists) are wont to do.

Just saw a Jordan Peterson video talk about a woman who find her company's PC stance ridiculous. They want to rename "flipcharts" because it MIGHT be possible offensive to Filipinos.

I think the primary reason it's still around is because many people feel hopeless without it. The fear of what happens after one dies. It's nice to imagine we go somewhere but the only evidence that exists shows that when we die there is nothing. We are a heap of rotting organic matter.

The flipchart reference is ridiculous... it reminds me of the "OK" sign with your hand. Someone, somewhere, somehow declared that making an OK sign with your hand actually represents a white power symbol because you know, you can abstractly see a W and a P when making the hand gesture. Pretty soon breathing will be considered racist.

@BADecker

I think you know I meant mass organized religion  Smiley

While I don't believe in any one of the thousands of proposed sky fairies I do believe something much larger than us created the universe and the laws that (for the most part) govern its existence. This belief does not come with an instructional booklet on how to behave and treat my neighbors.
51  Other / Politics & Society / Religion of Peace? Why Religion At All on: October 02, 2019, 07:23:20 PM
It's easy in today's world to blame Islam of backwards savagery against women, children, etc. Yet this is still protected by the left?

Why? When at the same time Christianity is under attack in the modern political and social climate. Other than the obvious propagation of pedophilia by the Catholic church, Christians' rape and pillaging days are over for the most part.

Other than instinctual human greed, religion has caused more conflict in human history than anything else. Why do we still need it? Are there any merits left?

I understand a common argument here may be that it instills fear in common folk and helps to provide them a reason to behave but we shouldn't need the fear of deities smiting us to act as a normal citizen and respect others' rights. You can also be a hopeful human being without religion. This is not a debate of "not all the religious folk are bad eggs" the debate here is why it still exists in any form in the year 2019.
52  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Gang Stalking / Targeted Individuals on: October 02, 2019, 02:11:39 AM
1. What is gang stalking

Gang stalking is simply a form of community mobbing and organised stalking combined. Just like you have workplace mobbing, and online mobbing, which are both fully recognised as legitimate, this is the community form.
Gang stalking is organised harassment at it's best. It the targeting of an individual for revenge, jealousy, sport, or to keep them quite, etc.

It's organised, widespread, and growing. Some describe this form of harassment as, "A psychological attack that can completely destroy a persons life, while leaving little or no evidence to incriminate the perpetrators."

2. Who gets targeted

The people getting targeted seem to be (single) woman, minorities, outspoken individuals, whistle blowers, dissidents, people who have gone against large corporations, etc.
...

You mean, people such as Trump?

I don't want to fly too off topic here (if there's even a topic to be on?) But you hit the nail on the head here.

I was just discussing with someone the other day the absolute media onslaught Trump deals with that no other president in the history of the US has ever had to endure. They fired backed with a predictable and weak "umm JFK was shot in the head"

Apples to oranges. Entirely different circumstances.

Trump is more universally despised and attacked by plebs, the media, and other politicians than Kim Jong Un. Drove past some Trump 2020 signs today that someone spray painted "Lies" all over...

54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: (BTCF) the new Bitcoin (Bitcoin fast) on: October 02, 2019, 12:13:21 AM
Hi!

I own around 100 000 of the new BTCF (Bitcoin fast) and it is currently extremely cheap!

I love this coin and it is being sold alot and soon the sell orders will become empty when they sell more, already many cheap sell orders are sold off and only expensive ones are left over.

What I would like to know is what you think about this coin and that I own 100 000 of btcf!

I will keep these coins!!

Tell me about it guys

https://bitcfast.com/

What degree of AIDs will my computer get if I visit that site?

This is an obvious shill attempt. If this random altcoin nobody has ever heard of is superior in any way, I'm sure you can express the reasons right here on this thread as to why it's so great? Where's the ANN thread on Bitcointalk? Who is a part of the team? What's the goal? How does this improve upon existing chains?

On that note I'll trade you 25,000 UET for your BTCF if you want to roll the dice  Roll Eyes

BNB ofcourse 😊
No need to speak about how to use BNB ay Binance Ecosystem.
Independent from Binance exchange and Binance features, you can a coffee or a yatch with BNB. Even a house sold with BNB at Australia.
You can also use BNB for hotel booking and also for place ticket.
İf you follow binance or CZ account at twitter, you can see shops, webpages etc which you can make direct payment with BNB.

I don't know much about it honestly. I don't follow exchange based tokens. Do they have an exclusive site or place through which items are sold for BNB? Otherwise it's just an accepted form of payment and not really a product like I'm looking for.

If a token or coins "product" is as simple as "here's an exclusive site that does y, lock up x amount of tokens or coins to gain access to this feature" I'd even count that as a product. Just being accepted as a form of currency doesn't really qualify in this example.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins With an Actual Working Product on: October 01, 2019, 05:57:45 PM
I have seen many of them before but the recent one that I've known and it's actually working right now is Eterbase Coin(Xbase).

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/eterbase-coin/

It's like Binance, an exchange: https://www.eterbase.com/

Recently learned they do have a staking program where investors can trade without fees and will even earn from trade fees. Quite a unique exchange with the negative fees concept. There is no data about their volumes though and its exchange is not listed on coinmarketcap.

I just discovered EOS https://eos.io/ they have a working platform a lot of Dapps but you need to activate a wallet first by depositing Eos to your wallet, there's also a lot of gambling sites connected to Eos, one of this is Bethash and there are a lot of gambling sites you can look some of these Dapps links in your wallet.

Centralized they say. Block producers is what they mean can control the flow.

Looks like it is listed on CMC.

Yeah not a fan of EOS myself. Centralized projects don't really apply to what I'm looking for. That chain is a mess and a half right now.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Going to do more investigating when in front of a desktop and start compiling what I feel is an appropriate list. Keep em coming! (If they're good suggestions that is)

What could be the hidden message of Cicada's video post for 2019? Share your thoughts?

https://youtu.be/pzXD1zDl1T8

Is this the official video? I honestly forgot about Cicada 3301 before seeing this post today. Thanks for the reminder!

Always find myself fascinated with these types of things but the actual problem solving and code breaking in these messages is WAY above my head. Have trouble with abstract correlations like this.

gangstalkers in 14512 mission road leawood kansas targeting the minority house to their west

Why link to a random $3,000,000 house in Kansas, do you need police assistance?

@Gibbar

It sounds like you're describing mob mentality in general. I'm not sure what prompted this post but the strange title is what brought me here.

Can you provide examples of this? I don't know that what you're talking about is really a separate classification from general harassment or mob targeting.

Basically wondering what prompted this post. The only thing I can relate to that would be remotely comparable to this would be mass thefts in my area. After a large sporting event or for any reason at all really, gas stations or similar stores are sometimes attacked by what age usually kids. There was a story recently where a store (I think it was a CVS?) Had about 100 inner city kids rush in, grab anything they wanted (snacks, otc drugs, home goods, etc) and run right out the door totally stifling the store's loss prevention team.

Stupid, absolutely... but I don't see any evidence that this is a growing threat (not sure what region you live in though, maybe it is in your locale). This stuff is usually organized on social media. Just another one of the pitfalls of the hyperconnectivity of today's world.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Altcoins With an Actual Working Product on: October 01, 2019, 02:13:43 PM
Thanks for the replies so far. Just to clarify again I am not looking for coins that "will do this" or "planning to do that" only currently working, implemented solutions.

This includes exchange based tokens. I don't see any utility in those. They don't correlate to something in the real world that common folk will be using.
60  Other / Meta / Re: Question About Item Listings in Goods on: October 01, 2019, 02:31:43 AM
@Pmalek

They aren't projectile tasers with hook. They are contact tasers with two nodes on them. Hand to hand defense weapon. There are regular old rectangular taser boxes and a few others. One looks like an iphone, another a stick of lipstick. Most of what I have are actual working flashlights that just so happen to be able to stun the hell out of someone at the same time.

Also, not that it matters.

https://www.amazon.com/Taser-22029-TASER-Professional-Series/dp/B01EXMKDIO/ref=sr_1_9?keywords=taser&qid=1569783143&sr=8-9

https://www.amazon.com/VIPERTEK-VTS-979-Billion-Rechargeable-Flashlight/dp/B01FH2Q8QK/ref=sr_1_8?keywords=taser&qid=1569783235&sr=8-8

Both the projectile and stun gun style tasers are available on Amazon. I think I can probably make the statement that nothing that is sold on Amazon would be banned from sale here. Their standards are much more strict because they are more accountable for what people sell on their platform.

Good way of thinking. I'll keep that in mind. Not say Amazon doesn't have questionable stuff. Not in the sense of legality but I was searching Halloween masks last night and came across this on the first page result of "Scary Halloween Masks" hahahah "Conch Shell"...

https://www.amazon.com/Creepy-Halloween-Masks-Latex-Costume/dp/B07THZCF86/ref=sr_1_4?dchild=1&keywords=scary+halloween+mask&qid=1569896887&sr=8-4

They seem to be legal in almost all States within the US so I stand corrected. if OP is thinking of selling them only to US customers I guess he is good to go.
On the other hand, tasers are not allowed to be carried by citizens in the EU. I took only Germany as an example as they set the standard of what you can or can not do. Even pepper spray is against the law in parts of the EU.

Sorry if you are not a personal fan of tasers but there is a market for them. After owning so many I have never been tased myself thankfully. The kind of situation where you don't want to use it unless you really have to.

Isn't it illegal to own guns in most of EU as well? Either way I didn't intend for this thread to go on this long but I'm happy I received the input I did. I'd rather cover all of my bases than post something prohibited and catch flak for it.
