41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Awesome Miner] - Powerful Windows GUI to manage and monitor up to 200000 miners on: November 20, 2020, 01:00:57 PM
How can I change phoenixminer parameters on AM?

Parameters:

-cclock
-mclock
-fanmin

I am using HIVEOS + AM.

Already tryed:

1) Command line (After save, AM cannot restart the process of mining - Not allowed)
2) GPU clock profiles: Only if you pay another kind of license
3) Advanced then Variables: Not make efect

Please, someone can send me a print with an example showing how to add PM parameters?
You should be able to use #1 for adding custom command line parameters to Phoenix Miner.
Can you please start the miner with the Diagnostics button and share the output with me? This should indicate why Phoenix Miner didn't accept your custom parameters. Thanks!

Please check the spelling of "cclok" as it should be "cclock". I'm also not sure about what "-cmem" is? If it's the memory clock, please try "-mclock".

If it still doesn't work, please try the following:
Code:
cd /root/.config/AwesomeMinerService/phoenixminer_5.2d_linux.tar_1/PhoenixMiner_5.2d_Linux/
./PhoenixMiner  -fanmin 90 -cclock 1200 -mclock 2000 -fanmin 92 -wdog 1 -rmode 0 -cdm 2 -cdmport 4028

Any errors?

works!!

the problem was the spelling, but to set the fan, i had to imput -tt 100, the comand -fanmin 100 did not work but it looks like an phoenix miner issue..

44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: TOTAL FREE Linux OS ready to Mine using Claymore, PM, etc. on: November 19, 2020, 05:11:42 PM
Why people pay monthly for these OSes I dont know...just download Ubuntu and instal the mining software you want. Linux is no longer like the early days in mining where you needed to build your own kernels and drivers just to make it work. Latest kernels and drivers that ship with most distros run everything out of the box.

There are a lot of reasons to use a mining OS (LINUX)

Some reasons:

 - You can plug and play using a 8GB pendrive
 - Easier to chance settings
 - Easier to manage miners
 - Easier do Overclock
 - Easier to remote control

Of course you can do all this on a Ububtu by your self, but it is so easier using ETHOS, HIVEOS, etc..

k3os  in  40451.net is free!

do you know de default login and password for ssh conection on this OS?
A lot information in chinese and i could not login on SSH becouse de default is not ETHOS/LIVE
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: TOTAL FREE Linux OS ready to Mine using Claymore, PM, etc. on: November 08, 2020, 07:15:55 PM
No it may be some hacked version or whatever but Ethos is only available from gpushack.com legally.  But if you are going to buy a license look at more modern oses.  I am still a 25+ rigs on ethos....i have 60 total...but old rigs are long since roi’d and gone.

I like ETHOS becouse you have to pay only one time for 1 license, you do not have to pay fees every mounth. What OS are you using to the rest of your rigs?

I am using ETHOS too, and a mix of HIVEOS + Awesome miner.

48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: TOTAL FREE Linux OS ready to Mine using Claymore, PM, etc. on: November 04, 2020, 10:29:19 PM
is no charge for the small miner.

From the thread here:

We are a paid solution with 8-14 devices free, forever.

Your solution is good, but has the same problem as the others, It is very limited if you do not pay.

I agree in pay for good services, but the meaning of this post is to find a free linux solution. Something like DIY that works without need to mange things using your plataform or paying fot this...
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4 PIN PWD fan for GPU's on: November 04, 2020, 10:25:03 PM
I think the best and cheapest way to replace the fans is using any non PWM 8mm or 12mm Fan an place it into the Card.

But the power plugs is not the same, so I guess the way to do it is plugin the fan directly on the 12V Font.

Do you guys know a way to power on the fans directly on the GPU?
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / TOTAL FREE Linux OS ready to Mine using Claymore, PM, etc. on: November 04, 2020, 10:14:31 PM
We know that there are some really good options to mine using linux (ETHOS, HIVEOS, SMOS, etc).

But all this linux are restricted to use without charges.

Does anybody Knows a real free linux based OS ready to Mine?

Tks

I Know that we can use HIVEOS in free version with AM.

But i think it will be so nice to have an linux OS based on AM, I already read a lot of messages here with some user asking for it...

Nobody with skills here are interest in make an image for us?
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 4 PIN PWD fan for GPU's on: October 24, 2020, 11:26:09 PM
Can anyone help me to find coolers for my GPU's?

I cannot find the fan with 4 pin..... most of results are fan with 2 or 3 pins

Most of my older graphics cards no longer have original fans. I removed the original cooler and attached 2 or 3 fans (depending on the size of the heatsink) to the graphics card.
Cost price:
Cooler 80x80 - $ 2
wire ties - $ 0.01 each.

very nice ideia! and about the conectors? how did you conect the power on the fans?
You don't need to spend a lot of money on different speed governors. Twist the wires and connect to your power supply.
The resource of the cheapest 80x80 fans lasts for 12-18 months. GTX 1080 with three such fans does not overheat, but the noise level increases.

i am thinking in buy cheap 8mm fans and conect to a molex adaptor on the suply (not on the GPU). Make sense?

I recently built a 1660 Super rig and tried to resurrect an Ethos 1.3.1 system. According to the blog for sling00, there is an update capable by using the command: 'sudo install-nv-beta' that is supposed to update the drivers to version 430.26. But I get a coding error everytime I do it. I suspect that the libraries are no longer present since it appears that ethos has been sunsetted. Does anyone know if this update can still be performed manually? I'd love to get off W10. Ethos is so much better.

TIA.

try to update your etho to the lastest version

Or, does you guys have an LinuxOS (USB) iso to work with FOREMAN?

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: How to continue mining ETH on your 4G AMDs for up to 4 more month on: October 19, 2020, 01:15:43 PM

Dear community,

we have gathered here today to regret the imminent end of 4G cards on Ethash.
Latest on DAG epoch 381 all of this precious GPUs will stop mining ETH.

Will they?

No!

lolMiner made a release today that will allow to continue mining ETH with a slight time-memory trade of for some more weeks on top!
It even allows you to go on with ETC on Windows today and until they will swap to their new DAG scheme End of November.

Read this medium article to learn more and how to configure it:
https://lolliedieb.medium.com/rise-of-the-mining-dead-ea8f6298f813

Have fun mining!
Are you saying rx580 4gig cards can't mine at 30MH/s again? That's a big lie, to keep mining with 4gig cards at that speed all you need to do is mix the card with a single rx 580 8gig card, make sure the card is in the first pcie slot of your Motherboard, I used claymore miner this way and it creates 8 gig dag from the first slot and mine away

you are using only one 8gb card on windows? with claymore? and the others cards with 4gb are working?

lolminer API problem

I am testing lolminer to mine ETH.

look:

As you can see it is not reporting the tempeture, and the hashrate is wrong..

In blu, you can see phonenixminer reporting ok...

To those who experienced and resolved this please help me.

I already set at my bios that my Onboard Integrated graphics will be the default display, it was all fine until I inputted my 10th GPU on any GPU slot and it will boot up and show display if I remove and have 9 GPU socketed.

Any thoughts about this or should I install something?

try to use 9 GPU changing one GPU and puting the GPU that makes. the video did not work (to be sure that the problem is not riser or GPU).
